Negative experience: Apparently two weeks of wisdom tooth pain doesn't count as 'two instances' so wasn't worth an x-ray. Ana roughly grabbed me by the lip to examine, handed me a piece of paper to get a private x-ray in Brundall, and then sent me back to the reception to pay for the experience. Will try to find an NHS dentist anywhere else to avoid seeing her again.

Fantastic experience: My autistic daughter saw manu and Kiran and both were calm and professional. Then my autistic son saw manu and sandy and again were both fantastic.would fully recommend these dentist and nurses.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly practice. I saw Sree and Sofi for a check up, clean and to have some fillings. They are both lovely people and great at what they do! They make you feel relaxed and check in throughout the procedure. I'm normally a nervous patient, but I had no reason to be nervous! I highly recommend them to anyone

I’ve not looked after my teeth in my younger years and with costs rising I could never afford to go private. By chance I found these guys and to get in as an NHS patient I feel like I’ve won the lottery! Thank you for giving me my smile back.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment here today and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was pretty anxious going in but Sree and Sofi were both absolutely brilliant. They made me feel comfortable from the start, explained everything clearly, and talked me through each step so there were no surprises. They were calm, kind, and really reassuring, which made a big difference given how apprehensive I am with the thought of a trip to the dentists. Fantastic experience: I joined here last week as an NHS patient of Sree, she is amazing! I think the best dentist I’ve ever had (I’m 48) - gentle, kind, understanding. I had a horrible experience in Norwich in 2021 post the Covid where a tooth extraction went wrong and left me with extreme pain and dental phobia. Well, Sree is like the tonic to that! So friendly and kind and gentle. I have a relatively small mouth I’ve been previously told and almost always have bruised lips after my dentist appointments… but not with Sree. After a full clean and two fillings my lips are neither bruised or painful. Yay! I’ve never given a thank you card to a dentist in my life, BUT I gave one to Sree this week - it’s such a relief to know I can have my teeth looked after and have kind and gentle care. I have already recommended to 5 friends and will continue to. High praise where it’s due. Thank you Sree and team

Negative experience: Never coming here again. Rude reception staff and a dentist who was more interested in looking at his co worker than my teeth. You tell them your teeth hurt, a quick 10 second prod around and im told theres no problem....... Yeah but I bet if I was paying you'd have xrayed my mouth and seen the root problem. The moment you say universal credit and the whole attitude from the staff changed. Like I was a piece of dog mess on their shoe. So rich people roll up roll up, they will definitely give you a 5 star service, whereas us below them have to deal with a quick 10 second poke and sent on our way. I would rather let my teeth rot out of my mouth and cause me even more pain than I'm already in before stepping foot in this poor excuse of a dentist again.

Fantastic experience: I don’t like dentists but Manu and his assistant Paige are great. They made me feel very relaxed and even laugh! I highly recommend them. He does great work even if he tells me off for drinking too many fizzy drinks.Sorry Manu

Negative experience: Apparently this dental surgery is fine if you're fortunate enough to be a private patient. They have several dentists doing private treatment and they're supposedly pretty good. For those of us who can't afford to go private, we're stuck with Dr. Ana Teodorescu, the practice's only NHS dentist. Ana is brusque, rude, extremely rough and frequently incompetent. I know of more than one person she has told their teeth are fine, only for them to encounter further problems a week or two later, (and have to pay a further treatment fee). And because NHS dentists are so difficult to find now, we're expected to be grateful we get treatment at all. If you need to see an NHS dentist here, do yourself a favour and pull your own tooth out with pliers. It'll be a much less unpleasant experience than seeing Dr. Teodorescu. If you have the option to register anywhere else for your treatment, do! Anywhere at all. This place should be an absolute last resort for NHS patients. I've never had a phobia about going to the dentist but seeing Dr. Teodorescu has changed that. Dreadful experience! And I know many others have had an equally bad experience because she has been discussed numerous times on the local North Walsham groups on Facebook. I've never seen anyone say anything good. Of course, nothing will be done because dentists don't want to take on NHS patients, and it's difficult to lure dentists to the depths of Norfolk, so Dr. Teodorescu can be incompetent and rough because she cannot be replaced.

Fantastic experience: I went in today for a scale and polish and to get advice for some upcoming treatments which can affect my dental health. I was very well looked after by Manu (dentist), Martha and Paige (dental nurses) who created a happy and calm environment so I was at ease for the entirety of the appointment. Manu took the time to go through with me and advise me of how to treat issues that may arise which I highly appreciated. It’s clear to see that everyone works very well together and it made for a positive dental appointment.

Fantastic experience: Dimitrios the dentist and Paige the dental nurse were excellent this morning with my husband who has a fear of dentists. They put him at ease and we so kind. Thankyou so much

Fantastic experience: Wow what an amazing experience compared to previous dentists. Sree and her assistant (apologies I didn't get her name) were phenomenal. I had been put off dentists over the years but Sree took her time for descaling and I needed a filing which she did whilst there. No injection needed as she was so gentle and reassuring. All staff were so welcoming and made for a pleasant experience that has finally dissolved my fears.

Fantastic experience: Recently registered as an NHS patient at the Dental Design Studio in North Walsham and had a check up followed by some dental work all done with Sanju & his dental nurse Chandni. I’ve been very pleased with everything. Friendly and very professional. The receptionists have been very friendly also so I would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Very low quality practice offering private and NHS treatments. Unless you have no choice but to go NHS avoid this practice. Private provision is massively inferior to anything I have experienced anywhere else over half a century. The surgery itself is in need of a thorough upgrade and looks as though nothing has been improved since current takeover. Staff are not what one might expect from any practice providing expensive private work. Cannot comment on the full dentistry provision (implants, bridgtes & etc) as, after just one hygiene appointment, I went elsewhere and have not looked back.

Fantastic experience: Having had a painful dentistry experience in the past I’m very jumpy when having treatment now, more so on first treatment at a new (to me) dental practice. However I was quickly put at ease by Paige the dental nurse. Her friendly manner towards me, even whilst still in the waiting room, followed by the therepist Shree’s carefull manner in the application of two fillings immensely helped put me at ease. Being told what was being done and when each step was completed helped me immensely. Thank you both, you make a great team.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a check up (after far too long) and was greeted by friendly reception staff who seemed to get along really well. I was exceptionally impressed with my dental therapist, Shree and the dental nurse, Paige. They were both absolutely fantastic with Shree demonstrating her dental knowledge and Paige being hospitable and observant. I came away with a lot of information and felt like I had been valued as a patient. I did not feel as though I was being valued just as a source of income for the practice. It was a very nice experience especially considering dentists not having the best public perception. I would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service, Had Manu (Dental Therapist) and Frankie (Dental Nurse) They both made me feel comfortable, Hard task considering I'm scared to death of the dentist!

Negative experience: I have no problem with the dentist but reception staff are rude beyond anything I've ever witnessed. I have been ringing 6-7 times a day for last 5 weeks no reply and doesn't even go to an answer phone. The last appointment I had I had to leave as I became unwell. The receptionist said she'd send me another appointment I still haven't got this. I'm immobile to struggle to get to appointment and am, therefore, unable to go to clinic and ask them but even if I did your reception staff are so rude it would be very unpleasant.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, friendly and put at ease, my 2 children were also at the appointment and were quite nervous but again Paige the nurse went over and above to put them at ease, and the same goes for anoop the dental therapist ! Great all round

Negative experience: This is the WORST dental practice I have ever had the displeasure of having to communicate with and attend! Have two fillings that desperately need doing, one of which is causing me a lot of pain, had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment which was then cancelled on the day I was supposed to go in!! When I then asked for my money back on the phone was told I was being abusive Absolute joke of a practice, the rudest reception staff, wish they never what ‘abusive’ phone calls actually sound like Go elsewhere!!

Negative experience: Wouldn't bother going private in this Dental Design Walsham branch. Ceramic fillings aren't done properly and more than often will become loose. You're paying for top private dentistry that isn't done to a standard it should be. Phoning the branch is long waiting. Judgemental dental assistants within the branch that will talk about members that turn up for treatment behind their backs and crack jokes. They'll tell you it's NHS on the phone but when it comes to payment you'll be told it was an emergency appointment that was booked. Can't believe the new Cromer dentist is going to be another Dental Design studio as well. Hopefully better run than this Walsham branch.

Negative experience: Have tried to register as a private patient for the last 2 Days no one answers the phone have tried to ring today 5 times today I’m glad I haven’t got a tooth problem ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say a huge thank you to dental therapist Manu and dental nurse Elle for the incredible care they showed during our recent visits. My 5-year-old daughter has a strong phobia of the dentist. From the moment we arrived, both Manu and Elle were so kind, patient, and understanding. They took the time to explain everything gently and in a way that made my daughter feel safe and in control. They never rushed her and gave her space to build trust, which made all the difference. The service was excellent from start to finish.

Positive experience: Upon entering I was greeted by the friendly front desk Charlie . Charlie was friendly professional and went that extra mile. I would most defiantly recommend Charlie at this practice . I’m not a nervous patient but would have liked it if the actual dental staff had of introduced themselves (I know this would have put other nervous patients at ease ) it was a bit in and out conveyor belt . I appreciate they are busy but this was just a general constructive criticism . Also previous dentist have counted out your teeth and relaid it to the dental assistant so there is a record … this wasn’t done … maybe there is a reason for this (I’m sure there is and this maybe to process patients quicker ) My overall thought was “everyone needs a bit of Charlie’s professionalism and happy persona “ On my initial visit I was seen by someone who then signposted me to what dentist I should see next - this was painful as in they didn’t verbalise this very well I had to ask the questions . This theme continued - went to see whom I was allocated , no introductions no discussions as to options just in chair head back moulds taken no colour match done , so on the day of the next appointment I went in expecting two dentures - I was told no it’s only one - the way I was told was like I knew this …. I explained no I didn’t as I wasn’t told this it was like a second class service … communication is not key here - and I think that a similar NHS drive of “Hello my name is ….” Would go a long way … it’s basically a cattle market and you get what you pay for … you want to know your options - go private - you want your options explained … go private … or at least avoid the dentist I had . I appreciate they are all cash strapped and time poor HOWEVER manners and being professional cost nothing . I have been to other NHS dentist and has a lot better service . To be fair it reminded me of a game called “Guess Who” some of the front desk staff break a smile to look up and acknowledge you … some are happy , some are miserable , some dentists have manners some don’t ! Make your own decision ….

Negative experience: Very poor. Won't recommend. Pretending to be NHS but just another exercise in marking unnecessary treatments and procedures. Zero stars, but it would let me post that. Same as another lady who spoke to us in the waiting room.... Edit. So following on from my original review, a day later, I got a call to confirm my next appointment, which I had already cancelled and been refunded for at the original check up. Then again yesterday, a further call to confirm the appointment, which was going to be today. I told the person on the other end that it was already cancelled, to which she was somewhat shocked. I asked her to look at my review of poor service, at which point she must have just hung up, as it went dead.

Positive experience: Cannot fault treatment. But why oh why, have elderly patients, in their late seventies and eighties climb 3 flights of dangerous stairs, to a chilly/cold treatment room.

Positive experience: My experience was painful. I was told by my dentist I had overpaid, having paid over £3000. I was asked to go back to them and to bring the card I used so they could refund me. When I got there I was given a sob story about confusion and was told I still owe them another £400? I would advise anyone considering using them to get quotes from other dentist and also pre book all your appointments in advance. Avoid this practice if you go private. Just had a call from them and they have put my balance to zero so they get an extra star. Going forward, if they give you a quote then they should stick to it. I was given a lower quote which led me to believe I would be paying less. Many thanks to Jessica for handling this in a professional manner.

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling the way my 90 year old Mother has been treated. On blood thinners but rather than being told to come back after stopping that medication they operated and we then had 24hrs of heavy bleeding. Then found that the dentist had left half of the route behind. Unbelievably rude dentist who basically kicked us out when I complained. To be fair we saw another dentist Anna who treated my mother with dignity and respect and removed the tooth painlessly within 5 minutes. They never answer the phones, it goes to voicemail, so as her carer I'm having to come in again as she now has an infection. When she rang she was told to call 911 who referred her back to the dentist, but they wouldn't issue another course of antibiotics. So again I've had to take valuable time off work to get them to issue a prescription. It's my 3rd visit, and my mother feels very traumatised by the way she was treated by the first dentist. Frankly I've never had any issues with my own dentist when I had an extraction and I had a bad infection, but my dentist immediately issued another prescription for antibiotics, but here I am in the waiting room trying to sort it out as her legal carer. The practice manager I spoke to seemed v uninterested in listening to my complaints which I found v frustrating. The counter staff and nurses are v helpful but their powers are limited. All in all I would only give this practice 2 stars max.

She was very supportive when I contacted her with the concerns that I had about the course of treatment I was undergoing. Charlie listened to my concerns ,she was caring, professional and supportive . I have found all of the staff at North Walsham DDS to be professional and helpful .Thank you M Harrhy

Negative experience: Cannot believe how rude the dentist miss ansari was to me during my appointment , she decided to shout at me for smiling at her assistants while I was exiting the room . Very unprofessional and would not recommend this dentistry at all . Absolutely horrible woman. She Then decided to turn her back to me and ignore me when I was speaking when I told her that I was smiling to say thank you for their help.

The lady I spoke to at the reception Paige was very professional, friendly and super informative. Paige was very bubbly and her attitude towards me made me feel at ease whilst visiting! Fantastic experience: I had a really positive experience at this practice. Dr Al- Khateeb and his nurse Paige were friendly, relaxed and professional. I was offered a cancellation so I could return the same day for the procedure and they were kind enough to squeeze me in again after this to take a little more off the filling. The whole process was painless and stress-free. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient and chose to have a tooth removed rather than root filling. Dr Anna Teodorescu & her nurse were both very understanding. They explained everything that would be happening. When I became distressed they calmed me down and comforted me. I was given time before and after the proceedure. I was given plenty of after care information. They offered to refer me for sedation but I continued with the treatment and am glad that I did. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: My teeth were awful before having Sara-Jane Salman as my dentist. I didn’t go to the dentist for 11 years as i was too scared from it being such a painful experience when i was younger. Since coming to Sara-Jane everything is always pain free. I have since had Invisalign treatment and restorative work and my teeth look absolutely amazing. I have had so many people commenting on how fantastic they look. Sara-Jane really is a brilliant dentist and I trust her with any decisions about my teeth. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting dentistry work!

Negative experience: Unfortunately private health outranks being ab NHS customer. Since Bupa has taken over its always trying to sell implants straightening teeth, etc and only spending less than 5 minutes looking at my teeth with no advice whatsoever or even if I have plaque or need descaling!
