Bupa Dental Care Eastbourne

Fantastic experience: I have recently had my 6 monthly check up with Meda And Krystal at Bupa Dental. As always I received a warm welcome. Meda takes time to listen to my concerns and questions, she then checks and treats accordingly. I have had 2 crowns in the past and they are very well done with no problems.

Fantastic experience: Service was good,staff helpful, knowledgeable. Very professional,clean, and barely had to wait to be seen.

Negative experience: Receptionists are always lovely, but have been here 3 times now for my 9 year old niece who has been waiting over a year to have a difficult tooth extracted, she was originally referred to the hospital and the referral was declined so back to this dentist where they booked her in twice to have it removed, the first time we came they gave her a filling in another tooth instead of getting her extraction, today we brought her back after having the extraction booked again - dentist who was called Alex was awful, obviously my niece was very nervous anyway and needed a lot of encouragement to even get her into the dentist. From the moment we walked in the room, he was not planning on taking that tooth out whatsoever and was just saying how she needs to be referred back to the hospital to have it out. Obviously very frustrating when we have been waiting a year, have taken her out of school early on 2-3 separate occasions for this tooth to be extracted and keep working her up to have it out and it just isn’t being done. Dentist was more concerned about moaning about the fact we missed her last appointment, which I explained the reason for this and he mentioned it another 3-4 times. Didn’t speak a word to my niece who was lying in the chair waiting to get her tooth out while he was just being unpleasant to myself. She is now de registered

Fantastic experience: Vasil has been my dentist for 2 years now, and ive only seen him that twice. before him i hadnt seen a dentist in about 9 years. He has been incredibly kind and patient, explaining every process, and always checking in to make sure im okay. Not only that but as a medical practitioner he is a fantastic dentist in his physical work. even descalings are completely pain free and careful. to anyone anxious of the dentist, i cannot recommend vasil enough. the reception staff are also always very kind and helpful ❤️

Fantastic experience: I visited Violeta today to have composite bonding on my teeth. I am absolutely thrilled with the result. Violeta took such care of me throughout the process, even in the run up to my appointment. She talked to me throughout the procedure and made sure that I was happy and comfortable. The procedure went really smoothly. Kerrie was also incredible in making sure that I was okay and well looked after! They are a great team and just put me totally at ease. I would recommend Violeta and Kerrie for composite bonding. I thoroughly love my teeth and I can finally smile with confidence. I couldn’t be happier! Thank you ladies so much

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Vasil, Shanice and the Bupa team, I had a painless root canal carried out among other ongoing treatments and cannot fault the care I received, options given to me regarding what treatments I could opt for and explained well. It’s nice to see dentists that are passionate about dental care and promoting its importance and not just after money. The girls on the desk are always happy, professional and helpful and the practise is clean and welcoming.

Negative experience: Bupa is an Incompetent dental practice as both either nhs and private ! After having been kicked out of my nhs practice locally with no formal letter or any information. I have had to move practices to one that is 40 mins away as they did not have any space for me privately. Upon booking my appointment I was charged 79 poinds. I explained my symptoms down the phone of what I needed which was scaling the receptionist assured me everything was included, I turn up to the appointment for the dentist to take a look in my mouth and attempt to pressurise me into paying another 79 pound to have them cleaned by a hygienist which again is a separate appointment more time and money wasted, in an attempt to put there incompetence right the manager offered me a discount one of which does not equate to the amount of distress and unprofessionalism the practice has shown. It came across as money grabbing and not one I expected from a private service, you’d expect more transparency and communication of services for a private practice. I will not be re booking any appointments and will make sure neither friends nor family do as the prices are unrealistic compared to other practices, the receptionist and services where misleading and a waste of time. All in all not impressed at all as have been a life long customer since I was born and never been overly impressed with there services but this really topped it off. Negative experience: Have just had a conversation with a receptionist at the Langley bios dentist and sue to me missing a appointment they are now kicking me off the nhs which they have been trying to do for months. This is absolutely discusting all this dentist want is to get all private private patients. They are a absolute disgrace. And I will not be leaving it there. I will be many this a formal complaint

I’m not scared of dentists, but I’m certainly anxious - but that is down to my own embarrassment of not having had regular checkups and cleans, knowing I have the signs of gum disease ( recession and bleeding when I brush) It had been 5 years since my last dental appointment, and after signing up to Bupa’s smile plan I’ve made a commitment to keeping my oral health in check. I gave up smoking 2 years ago and so your dentist is always happy to hear this. I was expecting such terrible news after it being 5 years not having had a check up, but it wasn’t nearly as bad. Anuja (AJ) was very kind and took care in assessing and advising what needs to happen next. I’m due a few fillings. Today and had a good clean (booked in for an earlier top up clean in a few months) with hygienist Sophia who was very gentle and and kind and gave reassuring advice on getting my gums back to a healthy place. I’m sorry I didn’t get the dental/hygienist assistant’s names, but they were also very kind and welcoming - as were the reception staff. This is the friendliest practice I’ve been to, and really helps the incentive to start taking better care of my smile.

Negative experience: Very expensive for just a little look always too busy

Negative experience: This review does not reflect dental care by Visal. However I am disgusted, when booking emergency extraction for my 93 year old Father in law We had found, him, myself and my husband have been removed as NHS patients without receiving any notification. During covid we were told only emergency appointments, so I had patiently been waiting to receive routine appointment. So now a pensioner with dementia, has been charged as a private patient, even for prescriptions he needs for infection. Sadly as yet, the tooth still hasn't been successfully exstracted!

Negative experience: Find it ridiculous that I couldn’t attend an appointment back in 2018 due to complications with my pregnancy and when I called to book an appointment in 2022 they say they won’t be taking me on as a I missed my last appointment. Also I missed another appointment as they had the wrong contact number for me which they failed to update. I understand when people don’t attend several appointments because of laziness but feel there should be exceptions made where circumstances that arise can not be avoided. No empathy whatsoever. They were happy to take on the rest of my family though. When my sister called them they said that I apparently didn’t attend several appointments which wasn’t true then told my sister that they are not taking on anymore nhs patients anymore. So to be told two different things by two different staff members shows that there is miscommunication and did they just say no to me because I’m an nhs patient.

I will be going there for as long as I live in Eastbourne (I plan to be here for the rest of my life). Just really put my mind at ease being someone who has anxiety issues. Fantastic experience: Always a good experience here, from Devon the practice manager, the friendly reception staff and the dental staff. I have had Vaisal and Shanice the last few times for treatments. Vaisal always explains treatment before it takes place, and puts me at ease. I am an extremely anxious patient, and their calm compassion is greatly appreciated.
