Negative experience: I was tipped off by a health visitor that this dentist was accepting NHS patients so I called them to ask. They said yes and explained the sign up process and charge for consultation but once I was there and was quoted £600 for fillings I realised I'd been registered privately without my agreement and was misinformed which the receptionist denied.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Ahmed for the first time today, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a lovely and professional young man who truly cares about his patients. I have always been quite anxious about visiting the dentist, but his gentle approach and expertise put me completely at ease. An excellent experience overall. It was also a pleasure to be greeted by Chris,who is lovely and very professional.

Its sad that the contracts dont last long as you never keep the same dentist ): 2nd time Lauren the receptionist was 10/10 i i had a terrible infection ,she fitted me in same day ,lovely polite receptionist ,i cant thank the dentist Ahmed and Dan enough for there fantatsic work, reasuring me&squeezing me in-between patients to get me out of Pain! And the probpem sorted,My pain was a good at a 10 he was gentle as he could i left there with HUGE relief of pain. Pain went down to a good 4/5

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely petrified of the dentist so when attending my first appointment I was extremely nervous. But the receptionist ( i think her names christine) was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. When meeting my dentist Osian and his assistant ( again sorry I forgot her name ) , I told them of my fear and straight away they made me feel calm and made sure I was ok throughout. I really can't thank them enough and im so glad i have found a dentist I feel comfortable going to. It makes a huge difference when you feel listened to and understood, thankyou!

Fantastic experience: My son was seen by Asillia & Cheyenne to say he has some challenges with his neuro diverse issues in which his anxieties will be through the roof is defo & understatement. However the whole team were brilliant and not did he have a check up but agreed they would treat him same day which worked fantastic for my sons anxieties . Fantastic experience: Was at the dentist yesterday was talking to the lovely Christine receptionist she mentioned they have a hygienist that comes in every other week. Chris booked me in today for a clean with the lovely hygienist her name is Rhianon what a lovely lady she is makes you feel at ease did a fab job aswell really pleased. The dental nurse is also lovely. I will be going now every 3 months. Thank you Christine had you. not have told me about this I wouldn't have known.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was sent here yesterday for urgent medical care and I cannot thank them enough, she was in severe pain for a few days but is now, thankfully out of pain thanks to this dentist. A special thanks to the receptionist, Christine - lovely lady who is a credit to the practice and very warm and welcoming. Thanks again, I really appreciate it, it means an awful lot!

Fantastic experience: I have found Dr Aseel who has been treating me for gum disease very professional and clear with her instructions. She is also willing to answer any questions that I might have. The receptionist is always very chatty and friendly but I have been asked to change my appointment time and date a number of times.

Negative experience: Absolutley shocking at my experience, my partner took my daughter for an appointment, they were very rude, not friendly at all, or welcoming, and didnt even do a very good job, disappointed to say the least, my daughter was nervous enough without someone being so unfriendly,

Fantastic experience: After years of being placed at the back of NHS waiting lists from moving around and having inconsistent and terrible experiences with private clinics, a friend suggested this clinic after their own positive experience. I was very anxious about it due to said previous experiences but I am so glad I came here. All of the staff, from Christine in reception to the dental team itself (apologies for forgetting names but shout out to Meg the dentist), were fantastic. They were clear, consise but most importantly kind,which I hadn't experienced with dental treatment for a long long while. I left feeling very happy that a treatment plan was in place which was explained thoroughly and with kindness. I cannot stress how important that is for people who have lots of anxiety, especially around dental problems. Thank you so much all!

Fantastic experience: Managed to get an emergency appointment here for a tooth extraction in two days when my own dentist couldn't fit me in for nearly a month. Reception staff were fantastic, really welcoming and friendly. Was treated by Megan, who went out of her way to explain the x-ray, discuss the options and talked me through every step of the process. After what felt like quite a battle to coax my non-compliant tooth & root out (which happily came out in one piece), again she took the time to talk me through the after care need and to get straight back in touch if any complications. For what was obviously not a particularly pleasant experience, the team here really could not have treated me any better. So, so grateful and could not recommend highly enough. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Went to my dentist on Pentrebane Road this morning for my eldest daughter. She is absolutely petrified of the dentist!! The receptionist Christine was absolutely lovely, was speaking to myself and making sure my daughter was okay and was very welcoming, professional and polite!! Christine was so helpful and my eldest daughter immediately felt at ease whilst Christine was talking to her!! The Dentist she saw today her name was Megan was incredible with my eldest daughter!! She talked her through everything that was going to happen, she explained to both me and my partner what the next steps where and really tried to make my eldest daughter as relaxed and reassured as much as possible!! My eldest daughter has addition needs and not many dentists have the patience for her but Megan had all the time in the world for her and answered every question my eldest daughter had (and there was quite a few) Megan also gave us a toothpaste she recommends for children and adults with additional needs as brushing my eldest teeth is quite a challenge, we ordered the toothpaste straight away and hoping this helps!! Madonna the dental nurse that was also in the room with us was lovely and made my daughter feel special for being there. Made my eldest daughter also feel at ease and made her smile and laugh which really made her experience at the dentist today!! Madonna gave her 2 stickers for being brave and made her a glove balloon chicken (which my eldest daughter found hilarious!!) She came out of the room smiling and shouted ‘this is the best dentist ever’ I honestly can not thank the staff there enough for being so patient and understanding!! Overall I highly recommend this dentist, nothing but amazing from start to finish!! Thankyou to all the staff there that have helped one very anxious girl today!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t know anyone who likes going to the dentist, but if you have to go, as I have yesterday and today, you won’t find anywhere better than mydentist Pentrebane Road. After suffering with a tooth abscess for the past four days, Shilpa started me on antibiotics and took the offending tooth out this morning. What a wonderful relief! Shilpa doesn’t pull any punches, she tells you exactly what the procedure entails, is always professional but kind and reassuring. I have been coming to this practice for many years and always find the same caring attitude from all the staff, Chris is the receptionist and is a friendly face ready to put you at ease. All the nurses are the same. Today, Shilpa has been my saviour and I’d like to say a big thank you to her and the team at Pentrebane Road mydentist.

Fantastic experience: Having been petrified of the dentist for 20+ years I finally plucked up the courage to visit My Dentist's on Pentrebane Road. I had mixed reviews off other people but decided to make my own opinion. On my first visit, I’m not ashamed to say I had to take medication to calm myself down. I needed NOT bother , Meg was absolutely amazing with me (also Jay) There are no words to express how grateful I am to Meg and Jay. My next comment might seem extreme to some people but I have finally got my smile and life back. NOT AFRAID ANYMORE

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend for people with neurodivergence, anxiety a phobia of the dentist or anyone seeking nhs treatment. Although I was late to the appointment which I apologised, and tried to ring up to let them know, But couldn’t get through. I arrived and the receptionist ignored me on the phone, once waiting for her to finish, I explained & They were not understanding of this & didn’t care for my personal situation this made to feel humiliated and let down by them. So when I asked what to do next she was reluctant to help and book another appointment unless I paid. Saying I wouldn’t find another nhs dentist. No apology for how I was made to feel after telling her I felt uncomfortable. The appointment before this I was greeted rudely by the dentist, not introduced to anybody. Then the dentist questioned my medical history and made me feel uncomfortable which caused a panic attack, theyve made my anxiety worse and was really nervous to go to the next appointment. I felt judged and let down by the practice as someone who has trouble with going to the dentist. I understand I was the one in the wrong being late only 5 mins late but made to feel like that was unnecessary and unprofessional in my opinion. I am travelling and wasting petrol for over half an hour to get to the dentist to be rudely spoken too and judged and not seen because I don’t know the area and are a little late. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I joined this dentist just before the pandemic, and after not attending a dentist for several years as I’m a very nervous patient. I had lost so much confidents in myself and would not smile with my mouth open in pictures anymore. This dentist are very welcoming , reception staff are lovely and Hajira and dental nurses made me feel at ease and gave me my smile back. She tells me everything she will be doing and she’s so gentle. I am still nervous but I actually look forward to going now. I would highly recommend this dentist. Fantastic experience: The dentist called Dr. Tanveer has been great with treating my chronic gum issues. Did a full perio clean top and bottom , and was very deft and sensitive performing the treatment. Dr. Tanveer also is very approachable and willing to explain in detail answers to my many questions. Really great dentist. Also, her current dental technician who works with her is nice, too.

We phoned our cardiff dentist no offer of help.. we then phoned and phoned to see if anyone could fit us in to stick ot back on.. After many calls we tried this practice.. christine on the reception was lovely and really understood the situation.. we came up immediately and they got thr tooth repaired this afternoon.. If you can imagine it would have been awful for her to have wedding photos with a missing tooth!!
