Fantastic experience: I am so happy about this practice and both my sons have treatment here. I am a dentist myself and recommend Dr Decker and his team to my patients.

Fantastic experience: I did tongue tie release with Dr. Komal Suri. She is very kind and explained everything in depth and gave me serrapeptase tablets to prevent scar overgrowth or tongue tie reattachment. Clean results, not very painful, highly recommend!!

Negative experience: I read so many reviews and had high hopes, I asked about palate expansion as my upper teeth are crowded and it can help with nasal breathing. I also booked an x Ray (£250). Dr. Palmer examined my teeth and agreed there was crowding and my palate is narrow, he then spent 15m trying to sell me a sleep assessment course for £400. Then stated I would likely need surgery to bring my upper jaw forward, when I asked does that help with my narrow upper jaw he said no and I asked after assessments would that then be something he can fix and he gave a non answer. I had high hopes and have come away feeling like he didn’t address my main concern and tried selling the sleep assessment course. There was also no x-Ray, the clinic has agreed to refund it. Not what I was expecting at all.

Fantastic experience: I found The Orthodontic Specialist when I was researching a private orthodontist for my 13 year old daughter as the advice from the NHS was to have a general anaesthetic and 8 teeth pulled before braces! We decided that wasn’t going to be an option and instead made an appointment to see Steffen. Our original consultation was positive, as Steffen smiled, spoke directly to my daughter and reassured her that the journey would be ok. She felt way more reassured with the treatment plan she was going to have. At the same time I made an appointment to talk about Invisalign for myself, and from then on have had many, many visits to the practice- and have enjoyed the new space too. My husband and son have also used the practice too for dental and Orthodontic appointments. I just finished 12 months of Invisalign and my only regret is that I wished I had started it earlier! A terrific experience and highly recommend. I would also recommend starting orthodontic work earlier with my children rather than early teens …early intervention would have been a lot easier- especially with our daughter.

Fantastic experience: I have been treated by Dr Komal Suri at the Orthodontic Specialist to correct some very poor work from the past. After this bad experience, Dr. Suri has been helping me to resolve a number of issues. I am more than satisfied with her work, she is a perfectionist and everything she does is beautifully executed. He explained the process, gave me time to think over it and reassurance he would look after my teenager. Fantastic experience: My teenage daughter had a pronounced overbite, so bad that she was being treated by a NHS orthodontist for free. My father was a retired dentist, he thought the lack of progress with the NHS dentist after 3 years was worrying so we came to Dr Decker. He and Dr Suri examined my daughter and proposed a treatment plan. I discussed it with my father, wife and daughter and decided to go ahead. A few years later she now has excellent teeth. There's one that's not erupted, Dr Suri and Dr Decker have exposed it and are pulling it down into place as it's stopped descending of its own accord. I discussed my daughter's treatment frequently with my dad before he passed away. I was able to share the Invisalign treatment plans with him. He was impressed with the technology but more impressed with the treatment and explanations we'd been given by Dr Decker. I can't recommend this practice enough, they're great.

At our first consultation we met Becky and Dr Komal Suri who showed us down to the lounge waiting area. It was beautifully designed and laid out with children in mind to keep them relaxed. They both have a wealth of knowledge and are passionate about the treatments this clinic offers. Talking to Dr Komal Suri really puts you at ease about all aspects of interventional children dentistry. She understands the NHS and societies opinions regarding early intervention. She is a breath of fresh air in the space. Our consultation with Dr Steffen Decker was comprehensive. He has a wholistic approach to all treatments he offers and asked detailed in-depth questions regarding overall health and wellbeing. We trusted him implicitly after seeing his approach. Ava Azim is an absolute superstar, she took all my daughter’s images and has the gentlest demeanour. On the fitting day, we met more members of the team. From the offset you can immediately tell they are all experts in their field and work in total harmony with each other. In all honesty, the fitting day was intense. There is a lot to get done, and I don’t think we would have got through it without Ava and Becky. They both concentrated on my daughter with genuine care. They made her feel safe and went at her speed, which was important. My daughter has not stopped talking about Becky and Ava since her last visit, and wants to especially thank them two for really caring and looking after her.

The service was so efficient that my daughter’s brace came off quicker than we expected and the technology they have there is second to none. I found it to cost not much more than privately on the NHS but with no wait times and more choice of appointment times also which is handy if you don’t want your children to miss school. We are more than happy with the results from Dr Decker and his team at The Orthodontist Specialist and would definitely recommend….actually, already have done! Thank you!

Negative experience: Quoted £95 for a consultation about Invisalign which most other invisalign dentists provide for free or at least include that fee in the final price. **In response to the practices reply. I informed your receptionist that I already had an OPG, which I said I could bring to the appointment. Something that would make your £95 xray unnecessary. I was also told it was a consultation fee NOT a fee for imaging, so maybe you should ensure your front of house is giving out correct information. But thank you so much for your concern in how I value my health, what a professional response to feedback.***

I want especially thank Dr Komal Suri who made me feel at ease, Dr Suraj Vashit did an excellent job on my implants, when fitting I didn’t feel any pain. I had to change from another orthodontist (in another country) to The Orthodontic Specialist halfway through my Invisalign treatment because I moved, but I'm actually glad it worked out this way - I had such a better experience with The Orthodontic Specialist! All the staff are lovely and were endlessly patient with me having to bring my baby with me to my early appointments. The new premises are really nice, they seem to have all the latest tech - no negatives come to mind at all. My main orthodontist was Dr David Raickovic (amazing) who has now moved, but I had my last appointments with Dr Decker who was great too. If you're going to invest in orthodontic work, make sure you go to a place like this.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience with the team at the Orthodontic specialist. I saw Steffen for lingual braces and although my teeth took longer to move than normal (due to how my teeth naturally were) Steffen was most patient, and I never felt rushed with all the added time I needed with extra appointments. Even when my braces were removed, Komul ensured everything was perfect with a few minor adjustments, which further enhanced my smile. I am very happy with my teeth and there has been a huge improvement in my before and after. Steffen and Komul have done an amazing job on my smile and I am extremely grateful for such a great experience. I have been getting many compliments on my smile so thank you both very much!

Fantastic experience: I was in a real state of despair - not knowing where to turn next for help. After many years of seeing different dentists and having numerous dentistry work done with bad results, I was seriously losing faith with any Dentist. Secondly I subscribed to an online aligner company to help straighten my teeth. It was a complete disaster as a tooth cracked near the front. Thankfully, a family member had been seeing Komal Suri and Stefan Decker and it was suggested to go and see them. Well, walking into the clinic alone made me feel totally reassured. Clean, freshly decorated, all the latest equipment, great energy and vibe. But for me the greatest of all is the staff including Komal's dental nurse, Beccy, all of whom are kind, considerate and friendly. Komal is a great communicator and totally empathetic which is really what I needed. For years the failing of my back teeth was always put done to a bad diet. Which was astonishing as yes i have sugar in my diet but not to the extent my teeth would suffer. Komal was able to properly and professionally diagnose my issue. I cannot stress enough the relief this gave me. Finally, I had met a dentist who was fully educated enough to give me an advanced dental plan, instant correction solution and FAITH! I will now also be starting my Invisalign journey with them. It was a lovely surprise to find out they are also the number 1 Invisalign Orthodontist specialists in the UK!!!! My daughter has just completed her orthodontic treatment and is now so proud of her smile she is happy to show her teeth in photographs and is absolutely delighted with the result. Treatment started when she was around the age of 10, expanding her jaws so that she required no extractions, something that was very important to us. She persevered for a little while with that stage of the treatment before finally starting Invisalign treatment which is incredible. The technology involved is amazing, the treatment no where near as invasive as other approaches to orthodontics and it works like magic. Dr Decker is also very friendly, clearly puts his patients at ease just as his colleagues do too. The Orthodontic Specialist saved us cost by recommending not to proceed with invisalign (which had been recommended by another dentist) and instead to use a less invasive approach. We are very happy with the outcome and the results are excellent.

The practice itself is great with a very calming atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, thorough and professional. I was complaining about making an emergency appointment for an abscess I had to a customer in the cafe where I work when Komal walked in. I was seen roughly an hour later. Both the advice and options the were given were explained thoroughly and easily. The following 2 appointments I've had since with the hygienist have been, as far as dental treatment can be, amazing. With lingual braces he totally transformed my crossbite which has had a genuinely profound effect on my daily life and comfort, not to mention my smile. Steffen is also a remarkably good judge of character, and he is carefully assembling a team around him that will all be able to perform to his exacting standards from within the wonderfully renovated new clinic. Steffen, Komal and the entire team have been superb, and I would urge anyone considering orthodontic treatment to look no further.

I went to three orthodontist before I met Steffen, I was recommended by a friend, the moment I met him I knew I was in professional, straightforward hands, he gave me every confidence I was going to have the perfect smile that would look naturally shaped to my face. Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of meeting Steffen and his colleagues at the beginning of this year for the treatment of my 12 year old sons teeth. I am extremely nervous of dentists and I was looking actively for a while to find someone who could help straighten my sons teeth. I am so happy we went with the orthodontic specialist, my son has had an extremely successful treatment plan with Invisalign. My son was fully informed with the instructions and plan. Sadly just before treatment my son had an accident at school which involved him losing his front tooth - I was absolutely devastated and kept having nightmares about the whole situation. I felt nervous about telling Steffen what had happened but he was so reassuring and kind and came up with a plan that could work alongside the treatment plan. It boosted my sons confidence hugely as he is a massive football fan and loves to play. We are now coming to the end of the treatment and I couldn’t be happier. Fantastic experience: Dr Steffen and the work he does is truly incredible. I had my initial consultation with Steffen and Komal and instantly knew that I wanted to go ahead with the treatment. He is professional, knowledgeable and you can really be sure he is doing the best job for your teeth. I had quite bad over crowding and had a treatment of lingual braces and am absolutely over the moon with the results. The whole process was seamless and much faster than I expected. I've always been very self conscious of my teeth and am so happy to be able to smile with confidence now. I cannot recommend Dr Steffen enough. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner!

Fantastic experience: I had one tooth overlapping on the bottom and Steffen fitted Lingual braces on them. I wasn’t sure about having the work done for so long but I’m so glad I gave them a try and it’s the best thing ever, the whole process was shorter than I could have imagined and I’ve got amazing results. Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Steffen in July 2020, after c.20 years of being told surgery was the only way to fix my malocclusion & large / deep open bite. The introduction was made by another Dr. who kindly (and very rightly!) rejected my request for veneers without fixing the bite first. I went to see Steffen without much hope (as I wouldn't consider surgery). He introduced me to Incognito Braces and we planned my treatment, to include elastics to close the bite. Today - 12 month later in August 2021, I am out of braces and with a perfect bite. I cannot say enough how much of an artist and talented individual he is. Fantastic experience: I was looking for a great dentist to straighten my teeth before my wedding. My first thought was to look for a dentist in London although I wasn’t local because in my mind that’s where the best Dentists would be! I went to the Chelsea Dental Clinic who performed an assessment and said I needed to see an orthodontist, I asked them to refer me to the best and they gave me the Instagram for The Orthodontic Specialist. I sent the team an in mail on Instagram and the next day I saw them in Amersham! I met Dr Steffen and Dr Komal who assessed my teeth and talked me through my options, the recommendation was Lingual braces, this was due to the fact that this type of brace works the fastest, gives the best results and you can’t see it as the brace sits on the back of your teeth! I gave them pretty tight timelines for completion to start with but mid way through treatment I told them we were also moving abroad before we were due to finish and they were awesome and assured me my teeth would be finished before I left! They scheduled my visits frequently enough to achieve my goal and true to their word they are off ahead of schedule and my teeth are perfect! We enjoyed our trips to Amersham, it was very easy to get to and much more convenient then going in and out of London. Dr Steffen and Dr Komal themselves are brilliant, I trusted them the whole process, they are perfectionists and what more can you ask from your Orthodontist. I couldn’t recommend the team enough. Fantastic experience: Dr Steffen was amazing. I had braces when i was younger and my teeth had moved. I came to Dr Steffen for Bilingual Braces and it was the best decision of my life! It has changed my confidence and i am getting loads of compliments on my smile too. No one could even tell i had braces on during the treatment. Fantastic experience: Such brilliant service. Incredibly knowledgable and very reassuring team who have given me amazing results. Invisalign is so discrete which gives me a lot of confidence when meeting people face to face (and on Zoom!). I'd highly recommend anyone getting Invisalign to also ask Steffen for the whitening foam for aligners - perfectly straight teeth whilst also whitening them is all I could ask for! Highly recommend.
