Fantastic experience: Very efficient, very friendly and excellent treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to 20/20 for the past four years and they have, lierally, saved my teeth! Melanie and Sarah are amazing! They really explain everything, taking time to help you maintain good practices in dental care and oral hygiene. I first came to see Melanie after having issues with my previous dentist. Filllings were rushed when they were put in and kept falling out, and one of my top teeth was cracked. My mouth was a mess, and Melanie sorted out all my previous poor dental work. My teeth have been good ever since. I'd prevously experienced some bone loss and issues with my gums, bleeding and quite spongy. I was visiting other hygeinists and it was OK, intermittently. I went to see Sarah and the first thing she showed me was how to really clean my teeth properly, in a way I hadn't been shown before, and it's been nothing short of miraculous. I went form 3 monthly to four to, now, six monthly visits and I can see, just by looking, that my gums are lighter and firmer. Everyone in the practice is lovely including the receptionists. You feel welcome and looked after and I can't praise them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak more highly of this dental practise and all its staff. I needed an emergency horizontally for impacted wisdom tooth removal on Monday which I was extremely nervous about however the care I got was hands down the best I’ve experienced. I had phoned 111 at 7am and by 11am I was booked in to see Dr Dirk Van Der Spuy. He is an absolute credit to the industry and his bedside manner was just lovely. Initially I was shaking in the chair but he did everything he could to keep me calm and it worked wonders. His skill is such that at the end I said to him ‘is that it?’ and there was absolutely no pain. These are complex procedures but due to his skill and experience he was able to do it outside of hospital which I am so grateful for. This practise and its staff are simply 1 in a million, and I’ve been to a few, both NHS and private. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Dr Dirk Van Der Spuy and the team for working wonders, I will be recommending everyone I can to go to this practise. I’ve already got my partner registered!!

Now, after having been with him for a few years I don't worry about going at all. This was evident even more so today when my daughter, who has health anxiety needed treatment. I was given time and space to reassure and calm her. There was no rush, alternative treatments were discussed with pros and cons addressed, there was no pressure. Fantastic experience: It is a rarity for me to write a review for a company however I feel compelled to on this occasion. I have been a patient at 20/20 Dental Practice for many years always treated with the utmost courtesy and receiving excellent treatment. A couple of months ago I had a horrendous accident whilst running and badly smashed my two upper front teeth - I was devastated ! I cannot express more praise to Craig Hughes one of the dentists at the practice who fitted me in at short notice and preceded to expertly perform no less than a miracle repairing the two teeth in a hour. I am so grateful for the expertise of the Dentists at the Practice and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend this dental practice. Have been a patient of Dr.Van Der Spuy for the last 25+ years. When I first become his patient after initially trying a load of other practices in the area and having many bad experiences, I asked the dentist could he help me keep all my teeth into my 50's to which he replied 'we certainly can'. This made me feel confident and reassured. After many procedures I.E 4 wisdoms out in the chair, 6 crowns, I still have all my teeth. I am very grateful and feel privileged to be a patient at this Dental practice and would advise anybody, especially people with anxiety of going to the Dentist to visit this practice. Fantastic experience: I was recommended this dental practice after a mediocre experience elsewhere. As soon as I walked in the receptionists were extremely friendly, patient and helpful- a service I do not usually experience! Dr Hughes was fabulous and made me feel really at ease and took the time to talk to me. At no point did I feel rushed. He was thorough during my check up and gave me advice about a mouth guard but did not push me to buy one. I also saw the hygienist Sarah who was equally wonderful- I now know what a hygienist is supposed to do! For the first time I was educated on how to keep my teeth for the rest of my life and also how to clean them!! I even got a lovely coffee (I know stains ) when I arrived to my appointment far too early. At no point did I ever feel pushed to have a service or buy anything. I really feel everyone at 20/20 wants to help prevent tooth decay rather than line their pockets with money for unnecessary procedures. I felt really looked after at the practice. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: The service at this dentist is exceptional. I have been a patient for a few years now . I had a recent emergency and had such an easy quick process to sort it out. The receptionist staff are so friendly and supportive. Both Melanie and Craig are beyond kind and professional and have made every visit myself and my partner have had as comfortable and pain free as can be. Everything is clearly explained and you are supported to make the best decision. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing care provided to me during an emergency extraction. The practice offered me an appointment despite being fully booked. The dentist Melanie Hunt was caring, informative, gentle and highly professional! I cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: My front teeth had changed colour owing to root canal treatment many years ago. My previous dentist wanted to cap them. I was resistant to this as I completed two years of orthodontic treatment 15 years ago. I visited Craig for a second opinion and he suggested an alternative treatment plan to bleach them internally and externally avoiding unnecessary loss of teeth tissue, that was in good condition. Six weeks later my teeth look amazing and I am enormously pleased with the results. My orthodontist was impressed with Craig's work too. I now have a new permanent dentist!

Negative experience: AVOID - SCAM ! Very arrogant Dentist. I went to him for some hygienist cleaning, and he was like 'you need to come 3 times / session from £110 from 20 minutes session, because you have a bit a lot to clean so you need to come 3 times... ' when their online fee online was saying £73 and he was trying to grab me £330. Are you serious mate? I WAS SHOCKED, Unbelievable unprofessional and total SCAM! When you pay for Hygiene Cleaning you expect -> Hygiene Clean to be DONE , I don't care if you have set in your mind that the session is '20 minutes' or 30 minutes or 40 minutes or 2 hours - that's your problem, ME I PAID FOR HYGIENE CLEANING £73 I'm expecting it to be DONE and not to drag me on three sessions... with one purpose only to GRAB MORE MONEY instead of £73 or £110 to grab that x3 times! So he has scammed me and in the length by dragging me and in the price! Very arrogant person as well ! Avoid !!

Fantastic experience: Craig Hughes is our family dentist and we highly recommend him. He's brilliant with nervous clients and very calm and reassuring. The Reception team are always very welcoming. Sarah is our hygienist and she's brilliant. We've seen other dentists at 20/20 too, if Craig isn't available and they really are a knowledgeable and experienced team.

Negative experience: I moved to the area in November 2021 and first visited last year. I had letters regarding a check up and attended on the 8th Dec. I had the check up and clean with the dentist. I paid and didn't ask for a receipt. On checking my bank I was surprised to find I was charged £98. When querying this I was told a check up is £60 and the clean was extra. I feel this should have been explained at the time. I would normally attend a check up and then hygienist separately. Appears you now only have the option of a £98 check up and clean {following a telephone conversation}
