Fantastic experience: I chipped my tooth on my birthday after not going to the dentist in over 20 years, due to severe anxiety/phobia of dentists. Noor has been so great and so patient with me. She’s given me the courage to have other treatments done to help with my dental hygiene. She always makes me feel comfortable and has made it so much easier for me. Fantastic experience: Our family have been patients here for 15 years and we have only ever had positive experiences. If you call, it gets answered promptly, if either party needs to move appointments it’s done without much wait, the reception staff have been there for many years which is a positive sign and are always very helpful, and the patient care we receive is excellent. Negative experience: Rude, incompetent and uncaring staff, particularly those on reception. Also had a dentist be rude to me here before when I first started coming here. I was 4 minutes late for an appointment and then kept waiting another 6 minutes by some ridiculous man umming and arring about his daughters dentist appointment, then they tried claiming "I showed up 15 minutes late". This was after I had battled 25 minutes through atrocious traffic in atrocious weather. Disgusted to say the least. Don't come here if you want to be treated with any kind of respect or sympathy.

Negative experience: I was referred to an endodentist at this practice by another branch of MyDentist, for a 20 minute consultation about root canal work for an infected broken tooth. The dental nurse was pleasant but didn’t introduce herself. Nobody bothered to check with me during the booking or reception process about my ability to manage stairs. Thankfully I can at present but mobility and accessibility should always be considered as anticipation of need under the Equality Act 2010. Dentist was nice enough to begin with but clearly had done absolutely no prep on my medical history in which I’d noted my current chemotherapy which could impact on dental work, and my trauma from childhood which has been re-ignited recently due to bereavement and cancer. He quickly began repeatedly shaming me about not coming to him three years ago when my tooth first broke. At that time I had no income due to taking early retirement to care for my mother, who was living with dementia and a permanent grief psychosis from losing my father to hospital acquired Covid. I had said in my notes that I can quickly go into a flight or shut down state if treated in a less than compassionate manner. I am in a position to be able to pay for treatment now but his ‘it’s going to cost you’ attitude was quite demeaning and I don’t think he really wanted the job as he repeatedly said it could fail. I think he could have predicted that from the X-rays my own practice had already sent him. I feel I wasted my morning driving halfway across the county and the time I spent prior to that completing my medical history, which should have already been accessible to him from my own practice’s records. And I was charged £90 for the ‘privilege’.

Negative experience: Hate leaving bad reviews but when it comes to my child's mental state its needed, and if I could give it a zero I would. We were advised by my sons school to look for a dentist in Nottingham, as our current dentist is in Leeds. As my son has issues with his teeth due to grinding them, being on frequent antibiotics and having sensory needs I thought we would give it a go. Worst mistake We filled out the paperwork, where I stated he was a very anxious child, his first appointment ended with a few tears and being told to come back for another appointment. My son was very anxious through the second appointment and after a few attempts to calm him and get him sat in the seat, the dentist sighed and said you will have to come back next week, after saying this he turned to my son and said, your mummy is so disappointed with you and so angry, to which my son burst into tears. Since last Monday he has had nightmares and ended up sleeping with us every night, after waking with nightmares. We have asked to come out of this dentist, to which we didnt even get a why just ok fine.

Negative experience: Literally the worst dentist i have been at. Staff are rude and extremely grumpy. Me and my whole family have gone here and they have not been helpful. I had a cyst and they popped it, sent me home with no antibiotics no pain killers nothing. Half of my face was so swollen. They told me my tooth needs taking out only by surgery at QMC. Went a&e that same night due to pain and swollen face + eye. Then had to come back and finally gave me antibiotics. Have a lot of other examples of bad service but won’t go on. Today i still have my tooth and got a root canal by another dentist.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class dentist, I saw Haafizah. Had to have two broken teeth removed, didn't feel a thing and all sorted in about 15 minutes. Would highly recommend this dentist. The nurse and reception staff are also lovely. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had longstanding issue with toothache in tooth supporting a bridge. X Ray's and examination found nothing wrong. I felt a 'nuisance'. Today had extraction, found tooth t cracked across. Difficult to diagnose through a bridge. Sushi was fabulous! Caring, sympathetic, understanding and supportive! Didn't feel a thing ! Thank you! X x

I find the reception staff professional pleasant and helpful everytime. Charles is my dentist he is patient with me as I have anxiety and he is attentive to my mental wellbeing. Fantastic experience: I just want to say how happy I was with our recent visit. My 12 year old daughter had a chipped front tooth that needed repair. Our dentist and assistant in room 1 was so good with her, took time to explain the process and made adjustments so the repair looked just right. She was so happy she couldn’t stop smiling! Negative experience: The staff are friendly and helpful but unfortunately had a very poor experience regardless. I needed new retainers, so booked into a retainer scan. When I showed up they said they wouldn't be able to approve it as I hadn't had a checkup yet. They were nice enough to book me in a few days later despite being busy, and I took them up on their suggestion I wait until that day as my teeth shift easily and I wanted my retainers to fit. Worst mistake. The scanner was broken by that day, and Noor took the mold manually. She only pressed down on the front when taking it, not the back, and I didn't want to bite down as too much mold had been added and it was going down my throat. I put up my hand to tell her to stop and she disregarded saying "only a bit longer". When I told her she laughed and said I should have panicked more, it didn't seem that pressing. Despite having to do my first checkup early she didn't x ray my whole mouth, only the teeth I told her to look out for specifically. When I asked her why she hadn't done all the teeth, she looked confused. She also refused to acknowledge/add on my sheet that I have quite severe recession on my front teeth (it's more visible on the back). She said maybe it healed itself (receeded gums don't do that). The molds ended up not fitting right as they lifted up ever so slightly at the back, meaning they ended up pushing my front teeth forward into a more pronounced overbite. I didn't understand why until a couple of weeks of wearing them when I realised I couldn't bite down and have my teeth connect like they used to. But by this point I'd been once to collect them, another day off work to come in to try and get them taken again (the other doctor, who was nice enough to slot me in for free) insisted he had done his best and that they looked fine (they were incredibly tight on my gums and I now have permanent marks from them, even after only a couple of weeks). Another one to try and insist they weren't right, again having to take leave from work. Another appointment to book into the retainer scan. Another to pick up. As this scan was after a couple of weeks of wearing ill fitting ones, it means they do fit, but in the warped position of having a stronger overbite. I had to pay another £150, so that's £450 in total for two sets of retainers that don't function as they should. So now I can either live with a more pronounced overbite, or try and use the first set, to place them on my teeth during the day and push back my front teeth back to where they are, but risk having slightly crooked teeth over time. I can imagine the staff were sick of me by the end but this happened from October to December and took 7 visits in total. I don't earn that much and it's been a heinous nightmare for something that should have been simple. Take my advice, and go with the retainer scan, not manual mold, if you have the chance. Also don't keep wearing a mold that clearly hurts your mouth and doesn't fit, no matter what the dentist says (because, frankly, there's no way for them to properly see, unless you had someone else's retainers in). Update: This is the review for the correct practice. This email is most likely separate to the one on my google account, but I am not going to add my own personal details here. Feel free to ask Noor or Sushil (the dentists in question) about this.

Negative experience: 9/10 I have come out of there dissapointed. Had my last 2 appointments cancelled without notice. When I complained and asked to speak to the manager I was conveniently told cancellation letter was posted to the wrong address when I have been at my current address for 23 yrs and the manager was too busy to speak to me . Only stayed with this practice as it is on the doorstep, bit now actively looking to go elsewhere. I have heard too many complaints from others about them also. Only positive comment I can make is my dentist Noor is a really nice polite dentist who will explain each step as she goes along. The last dentist at this practice who attended to me was very rude with no bedside manners. And never once has the manager had the decency to address my complaints.

Negative experience: Booked in for invisalign had initial consultation not a full one as couldn't do scans xrays etc...had technical issues with equipment. I was ok with that as these things happen. Then had 2 appointments cancelled after that due to annual leave, staff training even though had booked weeks in advance. So went elsewhere much more professional & no cancellations.

Negative experience: I went there today. Advised of them of the pain that I had on my tooth. Usually I'd be given some antibiotics to deal with the current pain or at least some pain killers. Nothing was prescribed to me. instead they did a check up and wanted me to pay over £2000 for extra work on other teeth! I told the dentist that I only came in specifically because I was having issues with one tooth she was adamant on me doing work on all my teeth. I asked can i at least have something to deal with the current pain I'm in - she said no! The only reason she did this is so that i can continue to stay in pain so that i'd do the work she said sooner! Long story short they are a rubbish dentist who only want your money. They would rather watch you suffer in pain than give you the right support you need.

Negative experience: Ever so disappointed with My Dentist - I am a registered patient at this surgery and have had a filling come out over the last week and am in quite considerable pain. Told on Monday that I couldn’t be seen as they didn’t have a dentist working and to phone back today. I was on the phone straight away at 9am and was told no appointments available. Such a contrast to when I had toothache when on holiday in Marbella and a Spanish dentist that I had no connection with rearranged her schedule to get me in straight away. I am SO disappointed. Service in this country is so poor these days.

Fantastic experience: Fab dentists love this place - they're very good. Got prescribed some 'extra strength' toothpaste called 'Duraphat' to re mineralise my teeth , as I am suffering with sensitivities, and fractures. My Dentist in particular is very good, and also friendly, as are the receptionists. Off to QMC Maxillofacial on 19.06.23.

Fantastic experience: This dentist is excellent. The staff are happy friendly and professional. Nellie is my dentist and she is so patient and reassuring. I have a phobia to attending the dentist and she has helped my extremely to overcome my anxieties. Jo on reception is always happy professional yet has the skill to make you feel she is your friend. Kim the manager is warm welcoming and always has time for patients. The whole practice is nice clean and all the staff are lovely.

Fantastic experience: I underwent treatment for an implant to replace one of my front teeth. I was extremely happy with all aspects of my treatment with Mr Wilkinson. All the various processes and stages were explained clearly to me, and I am very happy with the end result. In addition Mr Wilkinson arranges short and long term follow up appointments to monitor any potential issues. I can highly recommend this practice for implant procedures.

Fantastic experience: I take my daughter here. Before we went somewhere else and she was so scared and always got upset. She has now been to this practice for just over a year and is so happy to come and is at ease when she has her appointment. Fantastic experience: I have been at this dentist over a year now and I always see Poonam. I had to go today as I’ve been having trouble with my back tooth. I told Poonam, who by the way, always remembers conversations we have had previously, which is so lovely as it makes me feel like she really cares. It was for a check up but when I told her about my pain, she said she would remove it today if I wanted to and not to worry about time etc as I didn’t want to make her late. But she removed the tooth and made me feel so comfortable and calm. Although now, it’s very painful ha! But she is a credit to the practice. Thanks Poonam. And also the receptionists. Always so friendly and helpful. Such a good little practice. Highly recommended

Negative experience: Constant pressure to go private, long wait times, bad dentistry caused me to have problems for over 10 months. Left me with incomplete work and forced my hand to move dentist. Complained to head office who just got their head nurse to ring me, who basically told me the exact same thing that i needed to go private. Do not trust the mydentist brand. Second branch I have had problems with. Not to mention I have had 3 appointments canceled with no explanation at all. Won't be going back to any mydentist chain. Note: despite their reply, they have not contacted me to resolve the complaint, nor do I expect them to. It's basically to make them look like they are addressing complaints.

Negative experience: Receptionist very rude and told me to take paracetamol for my pain, despite the dentist already being aware of my medical problem. Receptionist acting as if she knows whats best, and shes not even qualified! Lets hope I dont have an infection requiring antibiotics. I hope she never has to call up in excruciating pain in tears, and told to take paracetamol. Disgusting customer service.

Negative experience: Disgusting service,clearly racially prioritised and really unhelpful and not understanding one bit....I genuinely hope when these receptionist are in hardship or pain they get a taste of their own nasty medicine. They don't like Asian patients very much...suppose the Asian/brown dentists have to be treat nicely don't they. I will be making a formal complaint over their head obviously or else it would probably get thrown in the bin.

Negative experience: Trying to charge me for 2 consultations on a £750 re root canal and seem to think I'm unreasonable for questioning it, I pay £40 for a consultation to be told I need to pay another £70 for another consultation, hows that justified? I needed a crown aswel at £500 that's £1250 in total for treatment with consultations on top ,your not taking advantage of me,i'll take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I had to take my daughter into the dentist as she was in extreme pain and her face was very swollen, we spoke to Amy and she was very welcoming, kind,caring,understanding, went above and behind to help my daughter, she was very helpful indeed, she made easy feel very comfortable and at ease, she was always smiling and very polite indeed, we seen a new dentist lady she was amazing with my daughter, as my daughter has special needs and other disabilities, she explained every single thing that she was going to do and explained everything to kelly what’s she need to do and how she doing it, my daughter like to see the same person all the time but she said mum she really nice and I want to see her next time, we lefted the dentist feeling happy and a little less in pain, so a big huge thank you to Amy going above and behind in her job and she doesn’t realise what that feels like to us, cause her calmness, politeness, understanding, I’m just being so welcoming is a very nice thing for the dentist, then you get amazing lady at the dentist lady so it just ends a perfect appointment when your daughter is in so much pain, so thank you

Fantastic experience: Been to the dentist today in a lot of pain which wasn't sure if it was my tooth or gums and turns out it was an abscess so course of antibiotics and mouth wash and let's hope that dose the trick. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist for a few years now and never had a problem with them. Dentist fixed my front tooth lovely when I went in Wednesday of this week. Negative experience: On their website it says 'new patients welcome'. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very rude and said they are not taking new patients. Please be nice to your patients.

Unfortunately, as this practice is already at maximum capacity for NHS patients, they are currently unable to offer you an NHS place. In some practices where we have no NHS appointment capacity, we do have alternative private options for patients to access dentistry, outside of the practices NHS contractual obligations. We will always offer patients this option as an alternative, so our patients can make an informed choice on their dental care.

Negative experience: Terrible service. my mum was in so much pain and told her they can't book her in for 3 months. They had appointments available with other staff it seems. They try to book asian clients with asian staff it seems....what difference does it make, we just needed a extraction done asap ?. The receptionist came across disrespectful and bad angry tone of voice. If your asian look for a different surgery as receptionist will be against you....i know a few asian people who had very bad experience with receptionist. stay away

Fantastic experience: My six monthly visited to my dental surgeon is a pleasant experience considering I’m a gagger and not the easiest patient to deal with, my time at the surgery starts with pleasant reception staff who greet me with a smile and a greeting.
