Belgravia Dental Care

Negative experience: I was a private patient at Bupa Dental Care Belgravia under Dr Cuddy and experienced seriously poor clinical management and delays in care. In August 2025, a tooth was noted as decayed and left exposed/untreated. I was told to wait, and while Dr Cuddy was away the tooth became infected, requiring two courses of antibiotics from another dentist. On Dr Cuddy’s return, I was then refused definitive treatment for the exposed/infected tooth pending a specialist opinion for a different tooth next to it. No temporary stabilisation was provided. I have since been told the exposed tooth now requires a root canal and crown — an escalation that I believe could have been avoided with timely care. A small “goodwill” refund was offered instead of proper resolution. I would not recommend this practice or Dr Cuddy based on my experience. Dr Cuddy herself works at this clinic, as well as the one in Soho. Please be aware. I am now in the process of taking legal action against them as well as have opened a complaint against them with the DCS. Update: I have now opened a formal complaint against your practice, and Dr Cuddy with GDC. They will be in touch with you. Fantastic experience: Genuinely the best dental practice I’ve ever been to! From the high level of professionalism and skill in the dental work to the exceptional customer service provided by both the dentist and the reception team, everything is outstanding. I’ve had various dental filling replacements carried out as well as my Invisalign treatment! I used to dread dentist appointments and the anxiety that came with them (due to awful dentist practitioners I used to go to) but that completely changed after coming here. The moment you step into the practice, you’re greeted by the friendliest, kindest people who instantly put you at ease. What truly amazes me is how everyone remembers you and even the little conversations from your last visit, it’s those small details that make such a big difference! It’s definitely on the pricier side but honestly, considering the high standard of work and the quality of care they deliver, it’s absolutely worth it. I’m so glad I switched from my previous awful practitioner. I highly recommend my dentist Karen and her wonderful assistant, as well as my hygienist Namrata, and of course the lovely Karlie at reception!

Fantastic experience: Having tried multiple dentists in London, this has to be one of the best. Warm and friendly reception, efficient and knowledgeable, Alberto masterfully fixed my chipped tooth and it looks as good as new! It’s hard to find a good dentist, but he is on another level.

Their empathy, customer service and kindness really make each visit feel so comfortable and seamless. Nicola is probably the best dentist I’ve ever had. After being gaslit by previous dentists for years, I’ve found a judge-free and genuinely caring practice. Ladi as well as receptionists also make every visit worthwhile! Defo defo recommend!!!

Positive experience: Dr Alexandra N. helped me put back my crown that came off (which was done at a different clinic). I can be very difficult to be pleased by dentists due to my past experiences. She is worth going to for your dental issues not only for her skills but also because of the way she treats you. She is kind and doesn’t make you feel unwelcome. I went for a revisit to adjust it back because during the first time, I had just been treated and had lost my judgement. She assured me that I had already paid for this and if I needed readjustment, I must revisit with no hesitation — and I did. People talking about how expensive it is - doctors do all the checks if your teeth need them - if you have a limited budget, mention it to the dr before you jump on the chair. They understand it’s expensive.

Negative experience: I would strongly recommend avoiding the hygienist Ladislava Da Prato. After learning that I hadn’t had a dental check or hygiene appointment last year, she immediately began criticizing me and said she might only be able to do half of the cleaning. In the end, she actually only completed half the procedure and insisted I book a second session to finish it. This felt completely unreasonable and like a scam to get patients to pay for multiple appointments unnecessarily. She also tried to pressure me into scheduling an urgent routine check-up, citing "limescale" on my teeth and insisting it was serious. On top of that, I was strongly encouraged to buy their branded dental tools (like EasyPick), and when I said I’d prefer to buy them elsewhere, the mood noticeably changed. While I missed a check-up last year, every previous dentist told me my teeth were in good condition. The pressure and upselling here felt unprofessional and made the experience uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Alberto and his dental nurse, Charleight, and I cannot praise them enough. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Alberto's expertise and gentle approach immediately put me at ease. He explained every step of the procedure clearly, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed throughout. His skill and dedication to his work are truly commendable. Fantastic experience: Superb dental care. I had a molar extracted today by David Wilmot. His patient manner and care was exceptional and the tooth extraction painless. I thought he was brilliant. While I am at it Karen Cuddy is my regular dentist at this practice and she is brilliant also. Belgravia Dental Care has a fabulous team. Well Done!

Fantastic experience: Lovely experience – super team and Nicola was great.

Negative experience: Lots of hidden charges. I booked a consultation and was told it would be £160 over the phone but when I left the appointment they had charged me £450. The dentist added on a bunch of extra treatments without checking with me or stating that they would cost more than the consultation fee. I think that is very wrong and deceptive and they should ask you if you want these extras before just doing it and billing you after. Very sneaky. Overpriced in general and after leaving my appointment my teeth really hurt. They have got more and more painful. I never had this sensitivity before but I think the way they cleaned my teeth they were really rough and scraped off too much enamel. I have horrible nerve pain in my teeth since my appointment here. The staff are nice but I’m in constant pain and feel ripped off. Will never come back here

Negative experience: Last year in December 2024, I sadly endured a most traumatic experience with a so called Dr. Ruben Garcia Sanchez, which left me with severe heart palpitations, as he overused the ID block and adrenaline, a horrifying experience where the chair was recline all the way backwards and when I asked why he merely joked it was because of his height and that it was comfortable for him, despite me telling him I had gained a slight headache and when I did eventually rise up I felt extremely light headed, for what was already a frightening extraction. I cannot emphasise how frightened this left me, now I'm scarred. I will NEVER return to this practice, even to see another. I felt each time he tried to pull and immediately had to stop him and raise my hand. It was frightening. I do not know how the GDC have licenced this man. Steer clear and do not be fooled by the location, the insurance, nor the reviews. Reception staff and manager were kind.

Fantastic experience: This is a really good quality dentist. I wasn’t a patient of theirs, but the receptionist got me booked in to see Dr. Lopez the same day. The dentist was so lovely, and the price was reasonable. Most important to me it didn’t feel rushed, he really took his time and fixed the problem.

Negative experience: The price is very high so I checked with two other dentistries and found this dentistry is not just very profit centric and but also unprofessional. First of all, I was told to do white fillings for ~15 teeth while I’ve seen other dentists, not that much is necessary. Second, the dentist just asked me to do fillings, although some of my teeth had worse situations which would need root canal, as pointed out by two other dentists and then verified through treatment. Lastly, the dentist only took four X rays for me which is not sufficient for the whole picture and not able to be used by other dentists so I had to retake X rays. All in all, I think this dentist is very unprofessional and I’m glad that I transferred to other places before she did my treatment. Plus the price here is higher than average so I would recommend looking for somewhere else. The doctor’s name is Maria Mak

Fantastic experience: Dr Ruben Garcia-Sanchez BDS (Hons), MClinDent Periodontics/Implantology (UCL), Cert Perio (EFP), MRDRCS (Eng), FFGDP(UK), FDSRCS(Eng), PhD (Int) Undoubtedly, has an in-depth knowledge concerning the best way(s) of approaching ' teething ' problems - both surgical and non surgical. He has even master crafted bespoke treatment plans for periodontal patients. And if, like mine, yours is a complex case that may well require bone augmentation procedures, or sinus lift, arguably, you could not be entrusted into a safer pair of hands. Positive experience: The hygienist service with Catherine was very good, I liked her and she did a great job. However, I had book for 45’ online and my appointment lasted 35’ instead; which is fine given I might not have needed that much time and the booking was cautious. Therefore, I was disappointed when I came out of the room and asked in reception to have an adjusted price -not to pay extra 10’-. Unfortunately, the receptionist couldn’t help because the manager was not there to approve a change in the booking online system. So she suggested I paid it in full and she’d write a note that next time I’ll only need 30’. I understand it’s a procedure and the IT system might be complicated, but if a manager is not in the centre when incidents happen someone else should be ready to provide solutions appropriate solutions. The clinic contacted me few days later and offered a price adjustment. I’m happy with the customer service and rapid response to my concern.

Fantastic experience: Dr Nicola Mulhaire is the best dentist I have ever had. Over 20 years and there is still a twinkle in her eye. Her friendly smile removes any anxiety I might have prior to a procedure. Thankfully Nicola restored my smile following a mishap at Easter with a chocolate egg!

Fantastic experience: Dentists had given me huge anxiety from childhood and an experience from my previous dentist had compounded this so when I met David it was a huge relief. He is kind, reassuring, detailed and professional in his work. He really cares about my teeth as I do. I also see Ladislava for my hygiene appointments and she and both of their technicians are friendly and positive. The reception staff are welcoming and will ask after me and my work. I’m not just a patient, they also care about me as a person and I can only imagine that’s because of the caring and personable culture the entire team have created in their workspace. Having been so afraid of dentists, I’m blessed to have found this Dental surgery and David and Ladislava. I know that I will be taken care of and that brings me a lot of peace and confidence in my dental experience.

Negative experience: David Wilmot is the best dentist I have ever had - completed a root canal and healed perfectly. Such great attention to detail However, BEWARE OF SURPRISE CHARGES. I attended a new patient examination which was supposed to be £155 based on the website, but additional tests were added that I assumed were included as at no point in the appointment was I told they would be charged separately - e.g. taking 3 pictures of my teeth cost an additional £70!!? Ended up with a total bill of £450 because dentist added on extras such as an x-ray (which is mentioned on their website as part of the exam, but they used a more complex machine than the one stated on the site - which I couldn’t have known) It’s fine to have these charge, NOT OK to not warn people and act as if it it’s a routine part of the check up and then surprise them with a huge bill at the end of the appointment (I’ve actually done all of the tests at another private dentist and it cost me around £80 for everything - so maybe worth going elsewhere and sending all the ‘advanced’ test results from another practice to this one and then just doing the routine patient exam. )

Fantastic experience: Ladislava - hands down my favourite hygienist of all time. She read my notes before our appointment and knew I wasn't looking forward to all the bleeding (been a naughty boy and haven't been to a hygienist in 8 months). I was worried about the shooting pains thanks to one of the molars (bottom left jaw) but she was quite aware of it and made sure to let me know before cleaning around that tooth. It's not just about doing the job. She likes her job and you can tell. She takes care of you by keeping you busy - she's a great story teller. On top of that, there was a flute playing in the background which made it easy for me to focus on a single point on the ceiling and meditate as much as passible. My friend recommended me to Belgravia. Yes it's expensive compared to some however I'd rather spend more for quality and to have someone be aware and sensitive to my concerns. Even the receptionists are lovely people. Instead of rushing out the door, we ended up conversing for a long while and it makes you realise life is not just about rushing from point A to B. It's about meeting positive people and making the most out of each experience. The fact that I'm super busy and yet made the time to write this review speaks volumes of just how good an impressions Ladislava made on me. Keep up the good work. I will floss and brush properly I promise!

Negative experience: Very very bad experience, they only ask for money but the service and professionalism that they provide is embarrassing… I’ll not suggest this dentist from my experience

Fantastic experience: Came here during my overseas trip due to a tooth fracture and had an emergency filling done. Both Karlie and Dr Karen were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist in my travel insurance claim. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal here a few days ago. I am a nervous patient and was not looking forward to the experience! David and Anita were incredible. No pain, communicated throughout and I have had no after pain or discomfort in the time since. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Belgravia Dental for over a decade. When I first moved from the US, I was chided about my expectations for dental care in the UK. Everyone stopped joking when I found Belgravia Dental and Dr Nicola Mulhaire. Besides being the most fun dentist I've ever had, my teeth have never looked better than under Nicola's care and guidance. The whole practice is really delightful and Ladi will give your teeth the best cleaning you can imagine. I can't comment on how UK dental care has changed over the years, but I can say that Belgravia Dental has remained consistently excellent.

Fantastic experience: I stopped to smoke a few months ago and all the tobacco left me with a very bad stain, I went for the first time to Belgravia dental care to see Ladislava da Prato as a hygienist and can't be happier for the amazing job she has done with my teeth - definitely I will be back and grazie Ladislava.

I used to go to a different place before, belgravia was recommended to me by a friend who attends the clinic for many years (I was recommended to see Ladi as she was described as excellent which I agree 100%). She provided first class service and I will be coming here for all my future appointments. Thank you so much for the excellent hygiene care you've given me. Fantastic experience: I have been going to them for 17 years. After trying and comparing many dental practices I have settled with them and have not looked back.Dentist Nicola Mulhaire is an extremely skillful dentist, more ever she is one of the nicest person you can ever meet. I can highly recommend hygienist Jeyda Karagozlu too. Her approach is very gentle, it is never traumatic to be treated by her. At my recent visit to Jeyda, she was accompanied by her assistant Fizz who was very welcoming and pleasant. It just make me feel good every time I visit them.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Belgravia Dental Care since 2019. I seen few of their dentist. I am very happy with the rezults. The destists are very professional, kind and friendly. Explaining very well the treatments, and all procedures. The customer service is grate. I also love the fact that they are very much into paperless and all documents are emailed to me. I referred my friends and family to the practice.

Negative experience: This practice used to be excellent. Unfortunately, it seems to have really gone downhill. On my first visit back since the pandemic started, I was shocked to find out they weren't even taking people's temperatures on check-in - even my hair salon does that! My usual dentist was away on maternity leave so I had to take pot luck with a new dentist, who was not impressive. I explained in detail about a tooth that had been experiencing pain and cold sensitivity for over 6 months. In response, the dentist said, "So how long did you say this tooth was painful, 1 week?" Obviously she was not listening. She took an xray of the tooth, and it was a really unusual experience. She put the uncomfortable cardboard film in the plastic holder in my mouth and then proceeded to fiddle around in some drawers for something - no idea what. Finally she got the xray set up and taken, then proceeded to take another minute or two before removing the uncomfortable cardboard/plastic apparatus. Every dentist I've ever had is acutely aware that having this thing in your mouth is very uncomfortable, and they do everything they can to minimize the time it's there. Not this dentist. She diagnosed my problem as a tooth that was too "high" and used a drill to reduce the height. Then I went to check out and found out that she told the front desk to charge me for an emergency visit. I've had this discomfort for over 6 months - so hardly an emergency. I think they've just become more of a money-making operation now, and the quality has gone way down. I won't be going back.

Karlie at reception is so friendly and always a fantastically warm welcome and always fits me in for an appointment when I need. Karen is my dentist she's just fabulous, always makes you feel at ease. I have had the six month smiles and really thrilled with my results. I would highly recommend
