Based in Bangor, Killeen Avenue, our friendly dental practice offers NHS and private dental care. We provide a wide range of treatments and services, from check-ups and hygiene appointments to more complex services such as orthodontics and root canal treatments. Facial aesthetics are also available. We offer extended opening hours, we’re fully wheelchair accessible and we provide free on-site parking. Negative experience: Went recently for a six month inspection and treatment identified. Absolutely staggered when told it would be over six months, yes six, before treatment could be started. Hard to believe and could anyone think this acceptable?

There is currently a recognised nationwide shortage of dentists across the UK which is causing delays or difficulty in booking appointments. Negative experience: I completed my dental treatment plan in May 2025. I was left with serious pain in my upper and lower jaw, left and right side. After a new examination by another dentist I was told that I needed 6 fillings and 4 extractions.Recent fillings have to be replaced, cavities were not identified, strong pain was ignored. One tooth will be filled a third time within a few months. I was offered a £600 crown for a sore tooth. Edina Garrett

Negative experience: I have paid this practice for the last 5 years to look after my teeth. I work outside the country and I elected to pay to be sure of getting good prompt appointments. The last filling I had done there fell out. I contacted the receptionist and explained I was due to go away again and told her what had happened. She said that my dentist didn't have any appointments until July. When I asked for another dentist she said they were all fully booked and that they had 30,000 patients on their books. As a result I wasn't seen and my tooth has now broken. I will be looking for another private dentist when I get home.

Negative experience: They need to hire more receptionists as I've been trying to cancel my appointment for the last 3 days. It's near impossible to get someone to answer the phone.

Negative experience: How is it possible that there are no appointments available for children? The site is supposedly complete. The receptionist suggested I go to other dentists when I told her that we had been to many dentists recently and that my daughter had a bad experience. I pay with my taxes for this public service to receive bad treatment. This is silent racism.

Negative experience: Had 2 fillings last year payed over 300 pound . Fillings fell off in the first 3 days and 2 times in the 3 weeks . Eventually 2/3 months after first filling I get them sorted . And same filling fell out again and they can give me another appointment till august . No one care about the quality. I wasn’t even NHS I was paying money is it no guarantee on this as I would say it’s expensive fillings if I need to fix them every year . Should this not last longer ?

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time in Bupa, springhill bangor, what a pleasant experience it was, from Michelle the first class dentist, to the assistant and receptionist, they all were very pleasant and professional. I was able to view my xray results while having everything explained in a simple manner. First class job folks, I'm a well pleased customer. My family also got treated today, big smiles all round.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this practice enough. I am a very nervous patient and have required a lot of work done. James as a dentist makes you feel very relaxed and goes out of his way to cater for your needs. The assistants are always aware and help me also to settle. Fantastic experience: Recently joined this practice and very impressed! As a nervous patient i was immediately made to feel welcome, The practice is busy (surely a good sign!) so was glad to see the waiting area was modern & clean. I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease by both the dentist and the nursing team.
