Fantastic experience: Seen promptly with no waiting time. Friendly, professional treatment. Procedure explained. Regularly being asked if I was okay or in any pain ( which I wasn’t). Next appointment booked. A very satisfactory visit. Friendly and kind staff.

Fantastic experience: Having called many dentists to see if they accepted NHS patients. I was so pleased when the receptionist said yes and could give me an appointment quite quickly. Not that I had a major problem. The reception area is adequate in size with a suitable amount of seating. The receptionist was so helpful and took time to help me fill the IPad form in. Only thing I forgot was my prescription. The dentist room was very clean and spacious. X-rays were taken The dentist listened to my concerns about a specific tooth and we have put an action plan together. There was no sense of rushing me out just because I can’t afford to pay. The Hygienist is £50 for 20 minutes. As A partially disabled lady I tend to look at how fully disabled patients would manage. I don’t think a wheelchair would access easily although there is a door in the surgery that might give level access from the back of the building. The same would apply to parents with a pushchair. I don’t know about the door you would have to ask the question. I also saw a small shelf with tooth cleaning items couldn’t see in detail. Oh there is carpark on the same road with a good number of disabled parking spaces. Also depending where you park it’s within walking distance of Newport centre.

Positive experience: As a private patient who looks after his teeth, I would have expected a more detailed assessment of my annual dental check-up than a max of 2 mins in the dental chair. That being said, my dental hygienist was superb and left with fantastic looking teeth. These guys should be forced to accept more NHS patients as a life long tax payer.

Positive experience: I was seen very promptly and the treatment was explained and the procedure undertaken with the minimum of discomfort. Whilst the procedure wasn’t quite what I expected I understood the reasons why. I was less impressed with the handling of my requests for future appointments which were undertaken in rather an offhand and unprofessional manner.

While I was having my X-rays done, they looked after her so well. I also had a filling done that feels perfect—especially impressive since my previous dentist wouldn’t even touch it. Negative experience: Pleasantly greeted by the dentist. Examination didn't seem as thorough as previously, no exam of mouth or jaw. Tried to upsell none NHS treatment which I haven't experienced before, embarrassing when you can barely afford standard NHS stuff. Dentist scaled my teeth, no polish. Left with a sharp area on lower teeth, I informed the receptionist when I paid, but she had no suggestions for me.

Fantastic experience: Great service. Managed to crack my tooth in half in the morning, called Brianna dental surgery to check for nearest possible appointment and they were able to fit me in that morning for a temporary filling and arrange for a crown early next month.

From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel completely welcome. The team took my sensory processing needs seriously, creating a calm and reassuring environment without making me feel like an inconvenience. I was clearly and kindly talked through every step — from entering the building to leaving — which helped me feel safe, informed, and in control. It was the first time I’ve ever left a dental appointment feeling positive and encouraged, rather than overwhelmed or exhausted. This practice is a true example of how inclusive, patient-centred care can make such a difference. If you’re anxious, autistic, or struggle with sensory issues, I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been experiencing terrible tooth pain for years and attending my previous dentist (Smileworks Wellington) every 6 months reporting this pain to be dismissed having looked in my mouth for 30 seconds and told to use sensitive toothpaste. After years of this, eating on one side and constant tooth ache, I decided enough was enough and started to look for another dentist. Having researched and read reviews I decided on Britannia House Dentist and hoped my experience would be better than my previous dentist. From registering at the practice on their website right through to payment and leaving it has been a phenomenal experience! The website to book an appointment is so easy to use and has a great user experience. On arrival the receptionist was a delight to speak to. I sat nervously waiting and was called through my two very friendly and professional people who made me feel instantly at ease. Talked me through everything and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble. I was listened to and they assured me they would help and were disappointed to hear that I’d been in so much pain for so long. They checked my teeth, worked out the issues, called in another dentist for a second opinion who was equally as fantastic and very knowledgeable. He immediately identified the issues and talked me through my symptoms, proving he really knew his stuff and could identify what my previous dentist failed to identify or simply ignored, in a matter of minutes. They immediately got straight to work and by the end of my appointment I had received more care and treatment in 40 minutes than I had in a lifetime at my previous dentist. What an amazing experience, my faith has been restored thanks to this team and I only wish I had found them sooner!

Negative experience: My wife and I both had a tooth extraction done here back in early July. What an absolute shambles it was. Appointment number 1 they cancelled without notice and only found out when we got there. When we did finally get an appointment for the extraction the entire process was chaotic, the receptionist didn't have a clue what they was doing, and we was told by the local dental nurse that this dentist was only doing it for the Money and not the Care. Very rude reception staff, when the appointment ran over and we quited how long it will be, she said what do you want me to do about it. Whilst there for the extraction the dentist rushed the procedures, and still left some tooth in both our mouths. We had better care from the 111 dentist in Dawley. We have now since deregister. Avoid like the plague!

Fantastic experience: Always a good experience here . Friendly, helpful, accommodating and flexible . I attended a private dentists prior to registering with Britannia house and I was quoted over £2k worth of work. Upon visiting Mr Tagboto and his team he told me that I did not require that work and he carried out a simple filling . Their integrity is honourable . I’m on the system as an NHS patient and pricing is affordable . Mr Tagboto and his team are superb and always professional . Highly recommend .

Fantastic experience: So caring and nice very helpful have made me smile again after struggling to find a dentist for ages they took me right under their wing and are treating all of my issues very seriously and also they tell you what they are doing during the procedures and asked me continuously if I was ok or in pain which I find very helpful to as I suffer with anxiety and I like to know what stages are being done ….. id definitely say these are the best dentists I’ve been to my upmost respect goes to all the staff in this dental surgery

Fantastic experience: My 17year old son... smacked his front teeth. 29th jan. At 4pm. I went to see the receptionist she gave amazing advice and booked us in on the 30th at 8.45am! Brilliant service all round. My son was checked over and also give an xray to ensure it's not fractured. Everything seems fine and infection prevention was explained on both visits. Thank you all. Fantastic experience: After years of avoiding going to the dentist due to having severe anxiety after bad experiences at other dentists in the past, I finally bit the bullet (no pun intended) and get my teeth sorted. The whole team put me at ease straight away, I communicated my anxiety issues and they were so supportive and reassuring throughout. I still have some work to do but they have advised me what treatments I need and we discussed the possible routes and their pros and cons, with estimates so I can make the best decision for me in my own time, no pressure to choose treatments in the appointment which is amazing as I can become overwhelmed by big decisions. I'm slowly getting my smile back with the excellent dental team's care, compassion and skills! If you are a nervous/anxious patient like myself, I cannot recommend Britannia House dental surgery enough!
