Newcastle Under Lyme Dental Practice

Fantastic experience: From the reception staff all the way up to the dentist my treatment was with utter respect, patience and kindness. Every step was explained and my opinion was asked for. I was having an extraction and was a little nervous, but was put at ease by Doctor Mark and Nurse Molly. Dr Mark met me in reception and escorted me to the treatment room and then back again at the end of the appointment. The appointment took as long as it took. At no point did it feel rushed or that I was taking up their precious time. They made me feel that they were there for me and that nothing was too much trouble.

Fantastic experience: We visited the dentist today for an emergency visit as my son had an awful accident. Dentist Harrison was nothing but patient, kind and understanding for my little boy. He was so fast at fixing the problem and made me and my little boy walk out of there so much happier!

Fantastic experience: Excellent, helpful, knowledgeable support staff, like Steph on reception or as a dental nurse. The best hygienist, Jenna, and best dentist, Manoj, in town, bar none! If you want quality dental and customer care this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Dentist, really relaxed vibe and lovely staff. The place is wonderfully decorated so modern and warm!

Negative experience: Unfortunately the relationship we had with this dental practice broke down when they extracted one of my husbands teeth and advised it was best to extract a second tooth next to the infected tooth as this would make a dental implant easier. This was done but we were then told the cost would be double what had been quoted originally due to the now large gap that had been created. This new quote may I add was over £7000 had we have known this to be the case we would not have had the second tooth removed and only extracted one tooth with a replacement implant. It then took over 6 months for someone to actually respond to us. We would not treat our own customers in this way so it’s a suprise when as a client things like this happen. It’s a shame as we had got into a regular plan with checkups treatment etc and our usual dentist was lovely.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this practice, from walking in to the modern reception where Sophie and the ladies are professional and happy to see you, to the Hygienists Simon who is genuinely interested in your teeth and excited to show you and use his new hygiene machine which yes gets your face a bit wetter but is more pleasent with no more scraping at your teeth. Yet again a great visit.

Fantastic experience: I am 60 years old this year and it is the first time in my life that I have liked my smile.Manoj has made this possible.I was a nervous patient when I first met him, but he put me at ease with his kind, thoughtful and professional manner.His dental work is of the highest standard and I cannot recommend him enough.I have had crowns, veneers and an implant, all my amalgam fillings removed and a whitening programme, so a significant amount of work carried out. The staff at the practice are really friendly and welcoming at all times.

My dentist, Yannis, has been an exceptional professional. His meticulous attention to detail has significantly improved my smile, and he has consistently provided comprehensive dental care. Without reservation, I highly recommend Yannis for both routine and cosmetic dental procedures. Throughout my appointments, various dental nurses have assisted Yannis. Each nurse has been supportive of his efforts, dedicated to their work, and exhibited exceptional care. The reception staff are always courteous and welcoming, greeting me with a smile upon my arrival. Scheduling appointments that accommodate my availability has been a seamless process. I find the treatment costs to be reasonable, and the costs are always clearly communicated before any work is performed. In summary, I cannot express my satisfaction with Newcastle Dental Practice. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice to any prospective patients seeking exceptional dental care.

Fantastic experience: I've been to NDP both for an emergency appointment and as part of my package treatment. Both times I've been the practice has been oustanding!! I am not a fan or the dentist and most definitely have anxietys about going however these soon dissolve once you meet the incredible staff that work and run this place. Firstly the reception staff and manager Sophie leave you feeling like you're getting the spa experience, customer service and professional standards were off the charts, I was made to feel very welcome and at ease. My dentist is Marcus and you can instantly feel his postive energy and expertise as soon as you enter the room. Marcus made me a personalised care plan to get me back on track and answered and concerns I had leaving me with peace of mind. My hygienist is Claire, an extremely experienced asset to the team who not only gave me an unbelievable clean but also went out of her way to help me build of routine to make a difference, no judgement just help. The dentist has always been an issue - now it's an experience. Thanks to all the staff at NDP

Fantastic experience: I have been to Newcastle Dental Practice twice this week due to sudden tooth ache! Upon my arrival the staff in reception greeted me with a smile and made me feel calm and at ease! Emily was fantastic during my initial consultation and quickly came up with a thorough plan of action. Vish and Taylor completed the dental work yesterday for me, making me feel so calm and at ease that I actually fell asleep in the dentist chair! As a nervous patient, I never in a million years thought that would be possible! I am now pain free ahead of my holiday and I can’t thank everyone at the practice enough!!

Fantastic experience: I have now got my smile back thanks to Dr Krishan Varma and team. My new implant is fabulous and the process was stess free. This was my 2nd implant with Dr Kris and required a bone graft. All the stages went smoothly with sufficient time between the treatments for healing to take place. I have had several implants with this practice over the last twelve years and have had no problems with them. I find the whole staff from receptionists to hygienists to dentists to be friendly reassuring and professional and would recommend their services to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had always been with an NHS practice but joined N-U-L Dental Practice when NHS appointments did not return to normal post Covid. The staff at Newcastle Dental Practice are very caring and professional. When I first joined I was seen by Dr Emily Lane and was both reassured and impressed by the thorough new patient check which she undertook. I recently had a large and positively ancient filling replaced by her. She was amazingly professional and determined to do the best job possible - even though it took her so much longer. Thank you so much for making my appointment such a positive experience. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: My previous dentist retired, so I'm speaking here about my first visit to the NUL practice (Jan, 2024) discovered through the great reviews. And what a discovery! First and foremost, Dr. Emily Lane is truly exceptional! I have a persistent phobia related to injections – not a mere 'needle phobia,' but an anxiety stemming from memories of some of the most unpleasant, heavy-handed, and painful injection experiences with dentists who seemed indifferent. At 68 years old, unfortunately, those early experiences left a lasting impression on my memory like an indelible tattoo. With traditional tools, my previous dentist skilfully and painlessly administered injections with perfect technique, timing, and consideration. Remarkably, Dr. Emily is just as skilled, if not better! For me, this is akin to winning the lottery – no more concerns in that department! Thank you once again, Dr. Emily. Next up is Dr. Vishal Klaire, the resident root canal expert. Under Vishal's expert guidance, alongside his assistant Steph, I underwent a root canal procedure with utmost care. The entire process, from beginning to end, instilled confidence in me, knowing that I was receiving treatment from the absolute best in the field. My sincere gratitude to Dr. Vishal and Steph for their exceptional care! The practice adopts a comprehensive approach to patient well-being, and in my personal experience, it's this commitment that truly distinguishes the practice. The staff members are not only friendly and considerate but also highly professional. I genuinely believe it would be challenging if not impossible to find a dental practice that surpasses this one. Positive experience: Dental treatment In November 2022. I had a nasty fall at home. As a result I needed implant surgery. Krish and his team did implant and crown surgery on my front teeth, I have to stress that I am and always have been terrified of the dentist an unreasonable fear but I find it difficult to overcome So the experience for me was not pleasant BUT. Krish and the girls were exceptionally kind and very professional and I was able to overcome most of my worries and I am delighted with the results I can’t send this review without mentioning the reception team who are incredible. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient here for a few years now and have always had excellent service and treatment but after my check up yesterday with Harry I felt that I should share how wonderful he and all of the staff are. The care is second to none, every treatment I’ve ever had (fillings, Invisalign, etc) is always professional and extremely thorough. Each dentist is also brilliant at putting you at ease if you are a bit anxious or nervous. And I couldn’t leave a review without mentioning the brilliant reception team - excellent customer service, nothing is too much trouble and they are all warm, friendly and kind.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my Invisalign journey after a couple of years. Whilst my teeth weren’t too bad initially, they were far from perfect and I decided to get the work done. I am extremely happy with the end result and have also had some composite bonding to build out a baby tooth that never fell out and you would never be able to tell that this wasn’t a real tooth initially. I can’t recommend this enough, I didn’t realise I wasn’t confident about my teeth, but seeing the transformation has given me a new lease of confidence that I didn’t realise I lacked. The staff are absolutely lovely, I will be sad not not see them every couple of months! Thank you so much to all of the team. One very happy customer

Fantastic experience: I have been with the ladies at NULDP for around 3 years now. I cannot fault them, they have always made me feel most welcome and that i am in the best hands. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and to make sure you understand the deferent procedures clearly. The female presence within the practice definitely adds so much, and i wouldn’t go anywhere else even with moving miles away!

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite dental practice all the other dental practices aren’t as much of a favourite for me as this one. The staff are really nice I have been to other places around the local area and the staff aren’t as nice as the staff at Newcastle Under-Lyme Dental Practice. One practice in the local area said that I will need all my teeth pulled out and I thought that was a bit excessive so I came here for a second opinion and they explained that my teeth are actually perfect and they didn’t need pulling out which was a big relief for me. I trust this dental practice the most out of any of the other I have been to before and also any of the others in the local area

Fantastic experience: Wife over the moon with treatment she received and friendliness of staff highly recommend

Negative experience: The only up side was their willingness to try and solve the issues they gave me. Try, not succeed. I was given dental fillings in multiple teeth that i was either allergic to either they did not bond to my teeth so the pain kept on going for more than a year after the procedure and even today. Their medical explanation was "just irritated nerves", lol. God knows what amalgams they use for the fillings (metals in it, etc. ). I only much later realised that the reactions I had are like allergic reactions, but not with their help, because they didn't tell me (of) that, even as a possibility.

Fantastic experience: I had a really traumatic experience with a dentist when I was about 5/6 years old and haven’t really trusted a dentist since. However it was time to put my big boy pants on and get myself sorted, as I’d noticed a bit of discolouration (probably coffee ) I went in for a check up, polish, scale etc.. with Claire the hygienist who said that my teeth were pretty good, but advised I could do with having a chat with Dr Emily After a chat I ended up having “enlighten” which is basically teeth whitening that you can do at home. Dr Emily was absolutely brilliant with me, explaining things as she went along and put me at ease, the nurses in the room, Cassie and Rosie, were also really attentive, asking if I was ok, and making sure I was comfortable. The results are amazing, my teeth are so much cleaner, whiter and honestly it’s given me a lot more confidence, I had started to get a little paranoid when I was talking to people, that they were staring at my teeth and now that paranoia has completely gone, in fact I now make a conscious effort to show my teeth off and maybe get a compliment! Don’t get me wrong, my teeth weren’t minging to start with, i brush twice a day and take care of myself, but having this treatment has helped me so much. The manager of the practice, Sophie, talked me through the payment plan, what to expect next, arranged a follow up for me, she was fantastic. I did a bit of research and found that they are the cheapest private dental clinic around, with great dentists and support staff, so I would highly recommend this practice. If like me you struggle with confidence when it comes to teeth, this practice will not let you down, no judgement, great prices and friendly staff what more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience: I am in my sixties and have been a client for about two and a half years. I have always been apprehensive of dentists due to childhood painful experiences. I had also always been aware of my bad breath which knocked my confidence every day. I could never understand it as I cleaned and flossed my teeth regularly and rigorously. I thought the reason behind my bad breath was due to me having 'rotten' tonsils as a result of many throat infections and tonsillitis bouts as a child. I even paid, some years ago, to see a consultant gastroenterologist at the nuffield hospital for help and advice. I even considered, (stupidly - I know), drinking diluted bleach to clean the back of my throat so I could speak to people with confidence without holding my hand over my mouth or chewing gum all the time. I visited Newcastle Dentist following an advert I heard on the local radio. My bottom teeth were crooked and my top could have been straighter. Thank goodness I did!! I saw Dr Alka Nathwani. She ex-rayed all around my mouth. She said that the reason for my bad breath was the fact that I had crooked wisdom teeth which needed to come out immediately. She said that no amount of brushing would have been able to remove all the built up tartar which had accumulated around those wisdom teeth throughout the years. She emailed the hospital, there and then, whilst I was with her to ask for me to be referred as a national health patient. The removal of the wisdom teeth needed general anaesthetic. Within 3 months my teeth were out. My bad breath was gone forever! With regard to my crooked teeth - she arranged for me to wear Invisalign braces, which I paid for over an interest free period. I am nearing the end of this procedure and my teeth look amazing. I have received personal observation from Dr Alka at every appointment during this time. I visit the hygienist (Jenna) every six months. Before, at my previous dentist, a check up and clean would take about 5 minutes. Now my check up and clean takes up to 45 minutes. I leave the chair feeling refreshed and valued. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Alka from the bottom of my heart and also her staff - from the helpful, pleasant and professional receptionists, through to all the dental nurses. Throughout our life we all take our professionals for granted because we either pay for their service directly (private medicine) or indirectly (our national health service) but when we receive good service which in my opinion, in this case, has surpassed all expectations I would personally like to thank Dr Alka Nathwani for changing my life for ever.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing!! I truly hate the dentist and always fear going, if you are looking for a dentist to make you feel as comfortable as possible this is defo the one. Extremely friendly staff who are willing to invest their time by explaining in detail how to get the best from your teeth without lecturing you, they also explain what they are going to do. I had to have a filling and didn’t feel any pain at all, the aftercare is amazing and they will help anyone in any situation. Very very highly recommended.

Positive experience: Great dentist, very friendly. I was very nervous and hadn't been to a dentist for years, I needed 2 x route canal work and they made it as comfortable as possible and had a lot of patients with me. They also split the cost over 12 months. Thanks again :-)

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist and suffer with anxiety as it is, my whole body was shaking the entire car journey, but once I was there the woman were so friendly and completely calmed me down (They are like a big family and they are all happy and upbeat), they spoke to me throughout the procedure so I knew what to expect, and I'm honestly looking forward to my next appointment !!! These guys are experts.

Fantastic experience: Signed up as my current Dentist has shut down and I got an appointment that was convienient for me. I am quiet nervous when it comes to Dentist but i was treated brilliantly. Dr Alka Nathwani was very friendly and professional and talked me through everything that was going on which made it alot easier. Great place, Friendly staff, Good price. I would recommend. :)
