Fantastic experience: Very pleased with the service from start to finish. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The dentist was efficient and thorough and spent some time answering questions at the end. He was happy to take as much time as I needed. I’ve been going here some years now and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Honestly the best Dentists I have ever been to with Lorraine being the best dentist I have ever been treated by I always feel relaxed and well looked after thank you all. Now this has been a long journey a phone call this morning to cancel my appointment for another 20 days i was there on the 13th jan was cancelled to go back on the 21st now been put back to the 11feb it seems like there is no end and I cant eat anything I like just eggs eggs eggs and soup. I got a 13 thousand pounds bridge which kept needing retightening and finally fell out while I was eating a magnum ice cream. My journey started I think on May 2019 for the first bridge that failed it was agreed that it would be replaced FOC which was fine I will be 76 on may this year with no end in sight I have a CPN NURSE Paul who sees my every 3 weeks he has been a great help I hate having to write this because it means my mental health isnt doing well. This has been a long journey from May 2019 to today 13th JAN 26 and i have no end date. For a few years it was absolutly brilliant until the constant loosening started and needing retightening before it just fell out.

I had to get two really deep fillings and she was so careful to layer them up slowly and also used a rubber dam because I'd had an issue with sensitivity to filling material (at a different practice) in the past so really went above and beyond. I had barely any pain or sensitivity after and my mouth wasn't really numb and swollen afterwards either as would normally have after a filling. Would 100% recommend her

James made me feel at ease getting my teeth checked and cleaned, and even advised me on getting my retainer replaced, which was broken, and it’s already all booked and sorted! Definitely sticking around, very good private dental :) (Also, no cavities!!)

Negative experience: Google review (2 stars) I have been a patient at Moira Dental Care for over 35 years and a private patient for the last 20 years, so I expected a consistently high standard of care. Over the past year I have become increasingly unhappy with how my concerns have been handled and with the clinical follow-through. Some background: some time ago I received an amalgam filling instead of porcelain, and more recently — six months ago — I had three further fillings. Since those three fillings I have experienced persistent gum bleeding around the treated area. I raised this at follow-up appointments but the bleeding has not been resolved and I have not been given a clear plan or effective treatment to address it. On top of that, I was given a filling in amalgam earlier than the three fillings six months ago, despite my preference for porcelain being made clear. That felt like a basic failure to follow my instructions and left me frustrated. At my most recent appointment I had booked my usual six-month check and clean. I expected the routine hygiene treatment I always request, but the cleaning never took place. I was still charged for a check and left without the treatment I had asked for. When I raised this at reception I received no satisfactory explanation for why the cleaning was omitted or why I was billed for incomplete private service care. Scheduling has also become a major issue. The practice has switched me to a different dentist whose hours are completely incompatible with my calendar, and there appears to be no willingness to find a middle ground despite the fact I pay privately and cover 100% of my dental costs. I have tried to be flexible, but the lack of accommodation and the absence of meaningful follow-up have left me feeling that my long-standing custom has been taken for granted. The staff are friendly and polite, and I appreciate their courtesy, but politeness does not make up for missed treatments, poor communication, and what feels like declining clinical standards. For a practice I have trusted for decades, this is disappointing. I am sharing this review in the hope management will address billing errors, ensure agreed treatments are carried out, and be more flexible and proactive in resolving ongoing problems. Until then I cannot recommend Moira Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: Moira Dental Care is a top notch practice great customer service and brilliant dentistry, you will receive the whole oral treatment. I had sores in the corner of my mouth a quick prescription resolved this uncomfortable condition. To the more serious issue I had on the inside of my cheek's i was referred to my local hospital for a biopsy, where dysplasia was detected i am now on quarterly checkups for oral cancer. More than just fillings and extractions i think you will agree.

Fantastic experience: Registered and joined with a first appointment 2 days later, staff very friendly and helpful, dentist very pleasant, service was prompt and efficient, had to have a tooth removed, done the same day, no fuss. Whole family registered here now with no complaints. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The dentist and dental nurse were excellent. Each stage of preparation for dental implants was clearly explained. The dentist frequently asked was I OK, and there were enough pauses between drilling for me to relax. They chatted to me at intervals, and there was pleasant music playing in the background. Two hours passed before I realized the work was over! The dentist showed me the X-ray and explained what she had done. I am amazed at her expertise. The whole experience was very good. The reception staff are very professional and friendly. All in all this was a very good experience, and I will return with renewed confidence that I am receiving dental work of the very highest quality.

Fantastic experience: The excellent preventative programme at Moira Dental care had identified a problem under a tooth, before I even knew it was a problem. Today I went in the first of two appointments to prepare for and fit a crown on the tooth. As ever, it was almost pain free and I left confident that the entire process would be most successful.

Fantastic experience: I am massively dental phobic. Even lifting the phone to ring and make an appointment is a massive challenge to me. For many years (over two house moves) I used to drive 30 miles to my dentist because I was afraid to move somewhere new. So it really took a lot for me to make the decision to find a new dentist. I rang around a few and explained just how much of a nervous patient I am and then I chickened out and went back for more appointments at the practice 30 miles away! My usual dentist wasn't able to do my appointments anymore and I unfortunately had a bad experience with someone else in the practice, I left an appointment with failed treatment knowing I needed more work done but not confident to go back to the same dentist. So I made the choice to give Moira Dental care a try. I cried tears of relief after my first appointment with James as he took time to truly listen to me, to understand my fears and feelings and he took time to make sure I was comfortable, to explain things and to answer my questions. I went back for treatment and was surprised at how well I got through the appointment with only minimal feelings of panic, thanks to James and other staff at Moira Dental. I then had complications and needed to phone in an emergency over the weekend and from phonecall to sitting in the chair for treatment was super fast turn around in my terrified state I didn't catch the dentist's name but I really appreciated the way I was treated and felt well looked after. I am never going to be someone for whom a dentist visit is an easy thing but I feel like my experiences with Moira Dental Care are likely as close to that feeling as I will get. I wish I had had the confidence to make the switch sooner!
