6 months ago Negative experience: Booked in for an appointment no one told me their was a certain time when you could cancel if not your charged. Its a ridiculous price as it is hard to afford without chucking fees in they were rude refused to see me even tho I was gonna pay the fee. The receptionists are like robots their the ones who are rude

Jennifer always does a fantastic job and is always so kind. on my sons first visit she removed some stains he has had on his teeth for over a year previous dentist said they could not be removed but Jennifer removed them straight away, my son was over the moon. Other staff are also very kind , great experience.

1 year ago Negative experience: The recipiention team was nice enough but that about it as i found the dentist to be rude and rather abrupt and have very little customer care and barley any understanding of how expensive the dentist can be and instead of feeling informed about my teeth i felt like i had just been in the headmaster office and told off cause off i have now changed my dentist and will no longer be using this dentist.

2 years ago Negative experience: supposed to be taking on patients at option when you make a genuine visit they have NO patient vacancies despite the blub about a welcoming team and friendly staff.They need to update their advertising on the net!
Our website does state 'accepting new patients', and I can confirm that we are accepting NHS patients at the practice. However, new patient appointments are offered subject to capacity and are limited in number. Regrettably we cannot offer an NHS space to everyone who contacts us each day requiring care. Please keep in touch with us over the coming months as we work hard to expand our new patient NHS capacity.

3 years ago Negative experience: We are/were patients of this practice, We had a letter a week before our next family check up to say that our dentist had retired and our appointment was cancelled and that they would be in touch. It's now been 2 years and nothing !!, A little update would be nice ?
As you may be aware, we do have several dentist vacancies at your practice and are actively trying to recruit. Unfortunately, recruitment of dentist’s post pandemic is proving extremely difficult. There is a shortage of dentists in the UK which is making attracting dentists to certain areas of the country more difficult and we are experiencing challenges in recruiting to the area. However, we are looking at all options to attract and re-locate dentists to your practice. Please be assured that the vacancies are not through any lack of trying or apathy on our part, purely that recruiting dentists, is proving difficult.
However, whilst we are recruiting, if you experience a dental emergency, e.g. pain, swelling or bleeding then you can still contact the practice and they will triage your symptoms and advise you how obtain emergency assistance until the practice is fully staffed.

3 years ago Negative experience: Absolutely shocking experience. My 2 children are registered here, but got told they can no longer offer nhs treatment! I find it totally unacceptable! They are children, and they need to see a dentist at an early age to help look after their teeth! We simply can’t afford to pay for private dentistry. The nearest place taking on nhs patients is in Suffolk! What has dentistry come to? Greedy dentists!

3 years ago Negative experience: Prophylaxis done by a female Indian Hygienist who was so heavy handed that she accidentally removed my fillings. Whilst cleaning my teeth asked me to swallow the dirty water. Dental Assistant didn't lift a finger to help out. Didn't get my teeth fixed or even get a simple apology. Horrible Experience

3 years ago Negative experience: Worst dentist I ever had misfortune to visit . Unprofessional staff from dentist to receptionist . Poor work carried out continually . I now face getting their poor work re done at a competent dentist surgery . These so called dentist practice should be looked at by the dentist commission and have their practice shut . They are poor to say the least . They have continually lied to patients about cancelled appointments and couldn't care less about the work they carry out. Now they have gone private and thrown out NHS patients .they are a disgrace to their profession.i spoke to two patients on my last visit there and both complained bitterly about lack of care and competence .

4 years ago Negative experience: I have been to this dentist 4 times for the same tooth, I got an infection 2 weeks ago, I rang 5 days running for an emergency appointment, to be told try again tomorrow, etc etc, I was given an appointment on the 3rd day of ringing for two weeks in the future, so much for an emergency, on the 5th day of ringing in agony, the receptionist was very helpful, she did ring me back after talking to the dentist her message was, i won't be getting an appointment but to wait for 2 weeks. I was left with no option but to find another emergency appointment with another dentist. So I will cancel my appointment on the 1st August on here now, not that it will bother her as she is going private in August.i am sure her private patients won't be left in agony as i was for over a week. Uncaring, unprofessional.

4 years ago Negative experience: Have just visited the hygienist to find it now costs £80 for 20 minutes and £100 for £30 minutes. No prior warning of this ludicrous price rise! Also my husband has yet again had his check up cancelled and the earliest date is in 2023. No doubt this will be cancelled too. How are people supposed to afford dental care, particularly young people in their 20s?It's like being back in the dark ages. Dentistry should be readily available and affordable on the NHS. Covid can't be used as an excuse as finding a dentist was difficult before Covid.

The fees charged are private fees, as hygienist appointments are not available under the NHS. I am sorry if this is not made clear to you when booking the appointment.
In relation to the cancelled appointments we do try to honour them, current circumstances are meaning that there are occasions where we may regrettably have to cancel some appointments. If you would like to discuss your specific situation further, please contact the Practice Manager who will be happy to talk to you.

4 years ago Fantastic experience: Great experience this time. Well I don't think any experience at the dentist is great but Jennifer certainly does her best to put you at ease and explain things. Rang for an emergency appointment as I had had horrible pain for a few days. The receptionist was very pleasant and I received appointment for a couple of hours later. Surgery is very covid secure only allowing a limited number of people in and providing hand sanitizer. So all in all I was very pleased with the service received.

5 years ago Negative experience: Been with these dentists for a number of years and haven't ever had a good experience with them. Staff try to be helpful however we've had numerous cancellations at the last minute due to the dentist being "ill" and just been berated for being late for an appointment because the time that was confirmed by text from Head Office was different!! Stairs are difficult for anyone with mobility problems so my partner hasn't been able to see a dentist for 2 years and they are NOT sympathetic. Now decided to go private, its just not worth the hassle

5 years ago Fantastic experience: I am and likely always will be terrified of visiting the dentist. However after a horrendous experience 15 years ago at a private dentist this practice has been looking after my dental health ever since. Despite my fear and the fact that this must make me a difficult patient I have always been looked after very well and they have always been very understanding and helpful when treating me. Whilst I hate going I can only say that their care and treatment has made a real difference to my dental treatment visits and I would thoroughly recommend the practice in total. Thank you

5 years ago Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted by Jennifer this morning. I felt extremely nervous but was quickly put at ease by her kind, caring and professional attitude. 5 years ago Negative experience: Absolutely useless!!! No sense of care!!! Lack of communication between reception and dentist!!! Told by dentist they couldn't see me because I wasn't registered, but told by receptionist that dentist told her he said to me he couldn't see me because his equipment wasn't right for my tooth that is leaving me in agony and overdosing on painkillers!!!! Cannot believe these wasters are recommended by NHS website!!!! Avoid like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!

6 years ago Negative experience: This is the second time I have really needed this dentist and this is the second time that they have changed my appointment by saying The dentist is sick and also no one else who can cover . I’m pregnant and have suffered with bad toothache . I have a appointment Monday but they told me it could get cancelled again because the same dentist might call in sick and there’s no one to replace , I am in agony and don’t no what to do everywhere else can’t have me because I’m not registered . I have never began to a place so unorganised and unprofessional. Like doctors and other dentist if the dentist or doctors is ill they will be someone to cover them . Yet again tonight I will be laid up in pain because they clearly can’t get the staff to work for them .
