Negative experience: I came in to get my wisdom teeth checked out to see if they could be removed. The dentist took one look and an x ray showing my tooth was growing sideways. She didn’t want to take any further notice to it and was just insulting me for the rest of my time there when I know I have good teeth, even stated by other dentists. The first thing she said to me was I’m going to get cancer soon since I drink alcohol (only socially) which is an incredibly sensitive topic and not relevant. She made me download an app to count sugar content and gave me a needless prescription for a toothpaste. She disregarded my wishes of actually looking at my wisdom teeth and was a horrible experience overall. I left the dental office crying due to the amount of insults I received. They should not be allowed to work with people if this is how they treat people. I have decided to add onto this review which I made a few weeks ago, I went back for a complementary checkup with a nicer dentist who took another look at my teeth and turns out my x ray was someone else’s and I got insulted for someone else’s teeth.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental practice with a friendly and professional team. My dentist was knowledgeable, gentle, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I felt well looked after throughout my treatment, and I’m really pleased with the results. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality dental care.

Negative experience: My experience with this hospital was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I went there because I was suffering from severe tooth pain, to the point where I couldn’t sleep or eat properly. I expected at least a proper diagnosis or some kind of treatment to relieve the pain, but unfortunately, nothing was done. The waiting time was very long, and there was no consideration for patients who were clearly in pain. When I finally saw the doctor, the examination felt rushed and not thorough at all. I tried to explain how intense the pain was, but it didn’t seem to be taken seriously. No real treatment was provided—just vague comments that didn’t help in any way. I left the hospital in the same condition, still in pain, and feeling even more frustrated because I had hoped for some relief. Until now, I’m still suffering and unable to sleep properly, which is affecting me both physically and mentally. Honestly, the level of care was very poor, and there was no genuine concern for patients. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone dealing with a similar issue. It was a very disappointing experience overall.

Fantastic experience: I've been endlessly looking for a dentist that accepted nhs. I was so very grateful to be seen today, at very short notice. I had a tooth extracted and I honestly can't fault the service I received. I would absolutely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Last Monday I had a large back tooth removed. I had no pain or bleeding, I’m on blood thinners. The dentist is beyond amazing thank you. All the staff are kind and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to the practice and my first visit to a dentist for a long time. I received excellent care and service, with a thorough check-up. I had some sensitivity and a small procedure was performed which has resolved the pain. Dr was very professional and offered great advice

Negative experience: Partner went in for a check was told he needed a root canal and to come back in a week to get that done when we returned they told us that they never said he needed on and proceeded to do a filling on a different tooth all that was given was a mouth guard tooth paste and mouth wash My partner has been left with pain the no over the counter painkillers could even touch I do not recommend at all if u care about your teeth or even basics service bad level of care and unwilling to explain further or will deny previous statements of needing a root canal The original issue has not been fixed or helped at all and have been left in pain and befor they decide to respond saying I am not registered at there practice no I am not we where nhs referrals I am reviewing my partners experience which I was present for

Negative experience: From the minute I walked in at the reception - an Indian/Pakistani receptionist - was noticeably rude & unwelcoming. This isn’t just my personal experience but others have mentioned the same thing before, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt & see for myself. Unfortunately, their feedback was correct. Being CQC compliant isn’t only about ticking boxes, it also includes person-centred care & treating people with respect & dignity. Hope this feedback encourages a serious reflection on professionalism & attitude.

Negative experience: My wife took my 10 yr old for a check-up and to inspect a tooth that was causing discomfort. The level of care and general rudeness from the dentist was shocking and unprofessional. She also seemed to be too concerned to get the patient out the door and was unwilling to answer questions about my daughter's cracked tooth without persistence. My 6yr old was taken there today for her check-up and once again the same dentist. She just slapped on a filling without due care expected of a dentist (particularly one working on a child). If I could get my kids registered at another NHS dentist in the area I would.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming to the dentist here in Brighton road for more than 5 years now. I find the dentist very caring and gentle. I do like the way he explains what he is about to do and keeps me calm. Receptionist is also lovely :)

Positive experience: I went in for a teeth cleaning and it took about 15 minutes and I paid £90. They removed plaque with the ultrasonic scaler and polished only the fronts of the six top and bottom teeth, incisor to incisor. No manual tools or floss or anything. I didn't feel comfortable complaining as I didn't know how I would be treated afterwards. I expected much more for £90.

Fantastic experience: If all Dental students just spent 1 Week in this practice, you will find something you can not be taught, professionalism, courtesy, & genuine care in their work, if I had to give it a mark out off ten, I’d Have to give it 11/10, I just have to add, over the Xmas period,?i had a bad epilepsy episode, & was frankly taken to st Georges hospital Tooting, & to my utter amazement, the denture I used to have over 7 years usually had fallen out, & stepped on by concerned folk through no fault of their own, but the new denture I had just been fitted, , buy Dental team, & to all my family & friends where quite surprised, but not as surprised as I was, , when I came round at the hospital my 2 tooth front denture, was still in my gums, not loose, but was strongly holding still in its place, over the 6/8 years used the same dentist & every single time the denture either fell out & broken snapped in 2/3 pieces, which cost the NHS funds that they can not keep funding & rightly so, but for the first time, my dentist talked to me, & explained what type of denture would help & extend the life off my previous denture, & I’m so ever grateful for his Suggestion off a new type of denture, it’s a 2 step vicious circle 1st having a epilepsy seizure & 2 loosing your denture constantly, but know I do feel huge amount of relief & comfort, that their is 60/80 % that I will not choke on a dislodged denture & not a burden on a overstretched NHS, sitting & talking through your options, is what,& I thought that was dentist do, & stop the complete waste off NHS, funds, so yes i will & am going praise this Surbiton dental office as I’m ever sincerely grateful, Thank-you

Negative experience: I would give them 0 star if I can after being there before and had work done on my teeth they said you not registered with us I didn't like there work before anyway after filing I had steel sharp

Fantastic experience: The dental surgeon was amazing. She informed in each step of what she was doing during operation. She asked 4-5 times as " do I hurt you?". She informed me about all probabilities that we may face of during operation. And she's knowledge was also great. Asiatant made great job and the recepcionist was very debonair and helpfull. From begining till end she helped me in any case....

Fantastic experience: I saw Mr Patel yesterday for my check up and as usual he was cheerful, smiling and happy to see me. In my younger years I was always afraid of the dentist and had many unpleasant visits. Now I am pleased to say that This man is the Best dentist in the world as far as I am concerned. He has given me my lovely smile back when before I had dodgy veneers and a badly cracked front tooth. He is a gem. I am Janet Punchard by the way..

Fantastic experience: Went there to just sort an appointment and they let me get checked there and then, very quick and efficient. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming and to think I'd been worried about setting an appointment for a saw gum from a wisdom tooth. Will go again in the future :)

Negative experience: I have used them two times they have management issue, unprofessional clinic manager, it is hard to find a good dentist in London, and when you find a good one you will discover they have a management issue

Fantastic experience: Petrified of going to the dentist. Had not been for 8 years. Had to go because of headaches. Everyone at the SDP were amazing and supportive. I was looked after very well . Everything was done at a pace I felt comfortable with. Nothing rushed thank you!

Negative experience: Don’t answer my calls

Fantastic experience: It's really hard to find a good nhs dentist but I cannot fault this place at all. It's easy to get an appointment and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They picked up on my tooth grinding that every other dentist has ignored. No one likes visiting the dentist but they made it a pain free experience.

Fantastic experience: I've been using this surgery for several years now and always been happy with the service. The receptionist is friendly and helpful, they have an in-house hygienist so you can get your cleaning done when you have your checkup and if you need treatment the dentist always takes the trouble to explain the issues and goes through the pro's and con's of the various options available. As a patient I am happy to highly recommend them.

Negative experience: I put two stars because the staff was friendly and nice. However, I am very dissatisfied from the level of care as my main issue was completely disregarded. The X-ray machine kept crashing so the doctor didn't even see the actual X-ray of the troubled tooth, but he sent me home anyway with a toothpaste sample.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous - as a lot of people are - of going, but everyone from the receptionist to the dentist to the hygienist were excellent and friendly and professional. I really recommend them if you're nervous or had a bad experience in the past!
