Fantastic experience: Very nice checkup with Maiyam and Ali today

Negative experience: This Dentist Surgery is a disgrace. They treat NHS patients like garbage. I booked an emergency NHS appointment because I had moderate 4 out of 10 pain but I was leaving a blood stain on my pillow every night. From the moment I arrived and mentioned I was on universal credit I was treated like I had just been found on the bottom of their shoe. I was told 2 teeth next to each other needed to be removed because of an infection but could only have 1 removed on an NHS appointment, but I could tell that the dentist had no desire to extract the tooth because they constantly reminded me how much easier it would be if I was a private patient. They then made a half hearted attempt at trying to remove 1 of the problem teeth before giving up after 3 minutes (probably thinking about the more lucrative private patient they could be treating instead of me) and told me I would have to be referred to a specialist in 6 to 8 weeks. Because of the half hearted and botched extraction attempt I left the Surgery in agony 9 out of 10 pain and bleeding more than when I went in. With one more reminder from the receptionist in front of everyone in reception that I should really consider private care I left in complete disbelief. However you want to dress it up leaving any medical establishment in a much worse condition than you went in is disgusting. The charlatans that call themselves medical professionals in this Surgery took a hipocratic oath to help people and all they care about is money. After I left I went back in and lied and said a family member had just wired me £500 and you should have seen the change in attitude. All of a sudden I didn't need to wait for a specialist I could have both teeth extracted ASAP but when I said there seems to be a problem with the wire transfer I was back to leaving in agony and waiting 6 to 8 weeks. Everyone who works in this Surgery needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves how they went from taking a hypocratic oath to help people to discriminating based on someone's financial situation and basically just becoming money obsessed parasites.

Fantastic experience: Maryam and her assistant Faye were lovely and thorough with my 3 children. Even though I could not get NHS dental care for them, I feel happy with choosing my dentist as their practice since moving to the area. I hope this continues throughout their care! Thank you

Fantastic experience: today’s visit at mydentist, Bridewell Street, Wymondham was a completely different experience. Maryam was brilliant, supported by a great assistant. Both were patient, reassuring, and clearly experienced in helping nervous patients feel more comfortable.

They recognised my nerves and did everything they could to put me at ease. Professional, kind, and genuinely caring. Easily the best experience I’ve had. thank you.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to see Maryam as an emergency extraction and being a very nervous patient I was put at ease by both Maryam and Jodie. the whole experience was relaxed.

Fantastic experience: Always a smiley time. Receptionist is always a warm welcoming. The hygienist (sorry forgot her name) is absolutely fabulous and thorough. Maryam and Jodie I've seen for a few years and they are also incredible. So so friendly, thank you ladies

Positive experience: I have recently been treated by Maryam Khan . As a very nervous patient she has been so kind and understanding. I have received exceptional treatment and received very clear , helpful advice regarding the need for an extraction and dental plate. Very professional and I would highly recommend her. The dental nurse with her is also so kind, makes me feel at ease. The Reception team are so friendly, helpful and polite. Thank you.

Positive experience: I had a bit of a rocky start with My Dentist in Wymondham as my payment was taken before the appointment as I was having work done on finance, which was a little disappointing. However, after a number of apologies, I can confidently say that the service has been fantastic. The dentist and the finance team were both excellent. It was a bit pricey, but I’m really glad I went through with it and would definitely recommend them! Thank you to Lisa and the team.

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of problems lately and the care I received from all of the staff at the practice was exemplary and all under the NHS. Maria Elena was excellent and made every effort to preserve my tooth but removed it painlessly when this was not possible. I never had to wait more than a few days for an appointment and when I was in a lot of pain I received an appointment for the same day. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I have been with this practice for quite a few years had one lovely dentist who has now retired so was a bit apprehensive about someone else. I had a checkup today with Maria Elana, very thorough, quick and professional, all staff so welcoming, carry on the good work.

Positive experience: As with all dentists in Norfolk you have to book well in advance , my wife booked herself in for a check up and its in 4 months time !!! It was the same when I booked mine , my original dentist retired during covid times , he was excellent , I was very nervous of seeing a new dentist but she was very good and put me at ease , her assistant and the receptionist were also very polite and professional . This review is based on a check up and x rays , I will update in the future if/when I have some dentistry work done . it was also an NHS appointment . On entering the building there is a flight of steep stairs so not wheelchair friendly but there is a stair lift for the more abled , also a customer toilet

Negative experience: Firstly I like to stress I am not signed on with this dentist ( I’ve been unable to find a dentist in my area) but I approached this dentist with a request for an emergency appointment due to a very painful tooth. I explained I was willing to pay as a private patient as nowhere will take you in as NHS. At first the lady on the phone seemed very helpful. She said she didn’t see an issue with this but would confirm it with the private dentist and would call me back. I didn’t hear anything for 2 days, so I called. I was then told they would not see me unless I was a patient that was signed up with them as they were too busy and didn’t have the capacity. However they would allow me to sign up and then get an appointment. Not sure how signing up with them suddenly creates the capacity that they didn’t have?! It was clear that their number one priority is not the patient, it’s making as much money out of patients in need as they can. They are basically holding a gun to your head, pay all this money or you can suffer. It’s clear this dental practice is not about its patients. They just want to squeeze as much money out of them as possible. Just be careful here.

Fantastic experience: ALL DENTISTS SHOULD BE LIKE THIS!!!! Never had so much fun at the dentist! I am a nervous patient and was dreading meeting the new dentist, after my lovely former dentist at the practice left. Well, from the moment myself and my husband walked in and were made to feel so welcome by the receptionist, to the moment we met our new dentist, Rosaly and her wonderful dental nurse it was all such a pleasure! Rosaly examined my teeth and was so very thorough in showing me diagrams and models to explain how my teeth's health was. Rosaly and her dental nurse are so calming, full of fun and friendly - that believe it or not, you forget you are at the dentist at times!!! So very professional, but just the most perfect approach! I do not feel nervous about going to the dentist anymore - that is a massive breakthrough!! Thank you so much. (Will edit this with receptionist and dental nurse names - sorry!!) Another plus, reminders and appointments are all sent out by the charming receptionist.

Fantastic experience: I have recommended this dentist and will do again to family and friends. You’re greeted professionally. Then waiting is short. The dentist is always thorough, talks to you what he’s doing before he’s doing it. Very friendly every time I’ve been.

Fantastic experience: Polite and efficient receptionist who does her upmost to fit you in for emergency treatment. My dentist is most considerate and caring and keen to alleviate any dental discomfort. She makes you feel at ease and offers a detailed explanation of the treatment plan required. You really feel as though you treatment is being given the highest priority and that you really matter.

Negative experience: Had a botched extraction here. Top of tooth broken off and root left in. 45 minutes of dentist practically on top of me trying to wrench it out. I asked her to stop as it felt like she was going to break my jaw. Then had to wait months for it to be surgically removed. When I went to book an appointment for a check up I was told I am no longer on their books as I had left it too long between appointments. The receptionist was very sarcastic and patronising telling me " of course we don't send reminders, we are far too Busy for that !"

Negative experience: Over inquisitive receptionist causes barrier when trying to make an appointment to see dentist.
