Smile Dental Care - Eastbourne

Fantastic experience: Both my children had check-ups today. My eldest is very nervous of the dentist. Both the dentist and nurse were amazing. They even managed to numb her mouth, give her an injection and remove 2 wobbly baby teeth that needed coming out. The nurse Carol held her hand and helped reassure her. They gave her so much praise and smiles that I think this will help my daughter on her next visit. Thank you, Caroline and Carol.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment for a checkup easily. Have previously had good dental work done there. Some of the dentists are upstairs. No lift.

Negative experience: the worst dentists I have ever experienced. Totally clueless multiple vist reanged appointments, and zero treatment avoid unless you like a empty bank account next level incompetence.... also told I would get a refund that never happened avoid avoid avoid

Fantastic experience: I went in today to see keerthy for a filling in between my front two teeth which I was super nervous about, being right at the front of my mouth I was worried it would look worse than it already did. Dental assistant Caroline was super accommodating and could sense my nerves, constant reassurance & making me feel comfortable, kept checking I was okay through the treatment and I've walked out with what looks like a new set of teeth!! Both of them were amazing & especially Caroline sensing my anxiety and constantly reassuring me. Dentist has never been my favourite place but I'm so greatful for them fixing my teeth!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a wisdom tooth removed at Smile Dental Care, by dentist Minsoo and dental nurse Caroline and I can't recommend them enough! From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming and reassuring. Then Minsoo explained everything clearly, which really helped calm my nerves. The procedure was quick, professional, and surprisingly painless. They made sure I was comfortable throughout, and the aftercare advice was spot on. I'm healing well and really grateful for the excellent care I received. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I went for a root canal and filling yesterday 1st May.i was wery worried but I needn't have been. I had Sonya and Fiona. I felt no pain at all they were very reassuring I would recommend them to anybody. They were very helpful and professional. Thank you so much to you both.

Negative experience: Traumatized! I have a tooth that causes me discomfort and decided to have it removed before it became painful..........mistake! It took three weeks to get an appointment. I am hard of hearing and lip read so when people wear masks communication is somewhat problematic. After needless questions about my medication. I had already answered questions via email I was asked if I wanted my gums seeing to.? No just pull the tooth out please. After an injection the dentist proceeded to try and abstract the tooth out. She just wiggled it though and it was painful. Another injection and this time after she wiggled it the pain was so painful I nearly fainted. She never tried once to pull the tooth out . I left at this point. Then they phoned me! I am deaf. A total lack of empathy. I will never go near Hampden Park never mind this dentist ! STAY AWAY CRUEL

Fantastic experience: I had to go for a filling today, and I was extremely anxious, as I have had poor dental experiences in the past. Sonya and Caroline were absolutely brilliant. They reassured me and everything was explained in detail. I wasn't rushed and felt their patience, understanding and empathy. Thank you both very much. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Fantastic experience: Having not been to the dentist for 4 years, I was very nervous, but Caroline, the dental nurse, was absolutely fantastic. She held my hand throughout and made sure I was ok. My dentist, Sonya, was also excellent and explained everything to me. I had to undergo a tooth extraction, but Caroline & Sonya made the entire process as pain free and stress free as possible. Thank you both.

Fantastic experience: I am overwhelmed by how kind, patient ad caring my French female dentist and my nurse Caroline were with me. I am a very scared patient and would normally be sedated for extraction. My dentist was absolutely amazing. She made made sure I was completely numb an was so gentle I can't actually believe I went through with 5 extractions on the same day. I had no swelling nor bruising. I may of been shaking from head to toe but Caroline held my hand and was there with me all the way. I cannot thanks these lovely ladies enough for being so amazing and caring with me

Fantastic experience: Today I had my first treatment a root canal, I was absoutly petrified. Well the staff are amazing and I didn't feel a thing. My dentist and dental nurse put me at total ease. My faith is restored x

Fantastic experience: Professional, friendly and caring team! My wife and I visited the clinic for dental filling, which was nicely done by dentist Minsoo Lee and her cheerful assistant Andreina. The ladies over the reception counter are very pleasant, polite and helpful too. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and neighbours.

Fantastic experience: Lovely dentist who gave 3 options to fix my tooth. Filled with white filling, done on a Saturday and still only £68.20.

Negative experience: Absolute shambles of a dentist, constantly cancels my appointments without keeping me informed even after I had made sure my contact details were up to date. I have had to take too much time off work just to be turned away at the door. Staff constantly walk out of their job which is not a good indication of how the place is ran and the reception staff are rude. I will not be coming back to this practice and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Welcoming and smiling receptionists!

Negative experience: Absolute rubbish dentist. My Dentist the previous providers were so much better. My wife's routine check was cancelled due to Covid 15 months ago and she was informed that they would contact her. Fifteen months later they still hadn't. Today because she has raging toothache after being informed by a very unwelcoming receptionist when she went to get attention at the practice yesterday she was informed that she should call at 9am today for an appointment. So she did and was informed that all appointments were taken and would need to go to an emergency dentist this evening. Do not use this dental practice if you want NHS treatment because they clearly don't want you to. Oh and I am talking about the practice in Eastbourne.

Fantastic experience: Visited today after putting off needing a filling for 3 months plus. As someone who actively avoids the dentist and has a severe phobia of them I couldn't believe what a positive experience I had. The lady dentist and her assistant put me at ease immediately. I can honestly say that this was the best dental visit I have ever had. Would like to thank them both for their caring compassionate manner

Negative experience: HAS MR UNDERHAY ,MOVED ON-BEEN WITH HIM FOR 30YRSALWAYS DONE 9MNTH APPMNTS- NOW NOTHING. DO I DO PRIVATE NOW. YOU DONT KEEP PATIENTS INFORMED -BAD SERVICE.

Negative experience: They don't like new potential patients. They don't like children. Very poor customer service. Avoid if you can

Negative experience: Lacking in Dentists. Yet another dentist has moved on. This has happened before since I joined this practice. The last time it took over a year to get a replacement. I feel that patients have been left in the lurch and should be told when their own dentist leaves so you have the option to go elsewhere. This also makes it extremely difficult to get an appointment which is actually very stressful. Sadly I think this practice is heading for an uncertain future . The patients are the ones who suffer and if you are a nervous patient you want continuity of care. Not good enough. But does anyone actually care?

Fantastic experience: Had an issue this week and required an extraction Despite being very booked up the dentist fitted me in and removed tooth on the same day. Both dentist and nurse very kind and helpful in the situation

Fantastic experience: Great dentist - would recommend. I had been looking for a good NHS dentist for some time and I'm glad that I found mydentist. Have just had my first appointment. It was friendly and professional. Penny, my dentist took the time to show me my xray nand explan it to me so I understand what the next appointment will involve.

Negative experience: Been going here since I was a kid, nearly 40 years and its changed a lot. These days the dentists are too obsessed on hitting UDA's and have lost any personal touch. Expect to be sold extra treatments and have to sign consent forms whilst you're sitting in the examination chair not to mention relentless phone calls chasing for extra appointments. Disappointing to the point I have left this practice.

Fantastic experience: My dentist is very nice and friendly as are most of the support staff. The surgery is bright and airy, however, Brassey Avenue is a residential area, so it is sometimes difficult to find a parking space and I would thus recommend leaving 10 to 5 minutes early.

Negative experience: Most unhelpful people on the phone...... Rude, and very obnoxious girl on the phone Talked to me like a bit of S**T because i have just moved into the area and asked if she could recommend any other dentist as they could not take me on till next year.
