Fantastic experience: Stewart and Abdul are both outstanding dentists. They make you feel at ease from the outset, explaining procedures and potential outcomes, next stages, etc. They also explain the reasons why such treatments will benefit you, and most importantly they look at the potential underlying root causes that have led to requiring the treatment. Stewart examines your overall health, past history and more, which is over and above anything any dentist has done for me in the past. Abdul has requested I have specific blood tests to check for mineral/ vitamin deficiencies. They look beyond your teeth and mouth when assessing your oral health and make sure you know you are in the best hands. The dental nurse I had on both occasions (sorry, I missed her name) was such a delight too to me and to my son (who is nervous if clinical environments). Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I have contacted reception every day this week and left a dozen voicemails to ask for a callback response regarding a dental emergency and heard nothing back so zero stars and staff have very little regard to patients or emergency services !!!!!!

I feel my last dental practice focussed too much on how many treatments they could get out of me so I’m glad I moved to this practice where my needs have been put first and I don’t feel like I’m viewed only in terms of how much I’m willing to spend.

Fantastic experience: I had new teeth made and fitted by K. Scott, and it is great to be able to chew my food, and have a smile on my face. At all times, I was treated empathetically and with respect. Prior to returning to Oban, after 54yrs away, I was amazed at how kind all health care facilities are, as I could never have had such kindness in the "South". I was afraid to call a dentist or pharmacy, as the staff were quite rude, thankfully this is not the case in Oban.

Martin was very careful to explain each step and make me as comfortable as possible. He was very particular, ensuring the best possible outcome for me - despite the interference of covid! Fantastic experience: In having 2 dental implants at the oban dental clinic performed by Phillip friel and being a patient who has sensitive teeth(and root nerves), i am more than happy to recommend his care and professionalism throughout all my previous work done now 4 years ago and future work absolutely. He and his colleagues put me at ease throughout and i would advise anyone thinking of restoration work to use his services with confidence. Also the oban dentists regular staff do a fantastic job too in routine appointments too so a high quality of care and trust is always in support.

I hadn't met Martin MacEachen before and was particularly taken by his chairside manner with myself and my children. His whiteboard presentation was inspired. As pleasant an experience as it is possible to have at the dentist - all of the staff are relaxed and helpful.
