Manor House Dental & Implant Clinic

Fantastic experience: All staff, receptionists, dental nurses and the dentist I have met are always kind, welcoming and considerate. Am a slightly nervous patient but am made to feel at my ease. My dentist Rachel, is particularly reassuring and gentle, as is the nurse that she often has with her. Sorry I don’t know her name. I also see a hygienist, Yuvita, who is helpful and friendly and very thorough. Thank you everyone including the friendly and helpful people at reception. I would certainly recommend this dental practice and indeed have done so!

Fantastic experience: We honestly can’t thank this practice enough. My partner was in absolute agony this morning, rolling on the floor in pain, and no one – not 111, A&E, or even emergency dentists – were willing to help. We were desperate, worried sick, and completely stuck. Then we spoke to Greig on reception, who was nothing short of amazing. He was so kind, so understanding, and guided us straight to Afrodite the dentist. Within just 40 minutes of our call, he was sitting in the chair. Afrodite was incredible – calm, gentle, and so reassuring when we were both at our wits’ end. She gave my partner injections and a prescription for antibiotics, and the difference was almost instant. From unbearable pain to genuine relief in such a short time – it felt like a miracle. We are so, so grateful to both Greig and Afrodite. They turned a horrible, frightening morning into one of relief and hope. We’ll never forget the kindness and care shown today. Truly outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I've been with the Manor House surgery for decades. A fact which speaks for itself, but recently my dentist in the practise retired so I was seeing a new dentist on my most recent visit. I'm delighted to say that this new dentist was excellent, made me feel at ease and generally (in a non-fussy way) made me pleased he is my new dentist.

I can fully smile again for the fish time in years. The reception team was equally impressive as they attended to my needs and kept me informed about my schedule. Fantastic experience: I have a dental phobia been like it since my early 20’s when I had a really bad experience. Since discovering Manor Dental and the wonderful patient Alison I’m not so scared. Always talks me through what’s happening and stops often when I need her too. If you are a nervous patient I highly recommend not only Alison but the rest of the team. Really nice comfortable waiting area and reception and everyone is really lovely , polite and extremely helpful.

Fantastic experience: Suffering from severe toothache last Sunday I contacted the Manor house clinic and was offered a consultation at 14.00hrs which I accepted. Result was a tooth extraction after examination and discussion. Most grateful to Richard and the lovely nurse for their kind attention on a Sunday afternoon. Must say that the tooth extraction was less painful than the bill

Fantastic experience: I'm a ridiculously nervous person when it comes to dentists, but my visit to Manor House on 24th November was such a positive experience I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't feel the injection, the procedure was quick, no discomfort at all and future visits will be far less worrisome thanks to Rachel Duffie. I apologise for being such a wuss!

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at the Manor House Dental Clinic for many years and recently I had to call on them out of hours with an abscess and wisdom tooth problems. From my initial phone call, Greig put me at ease and I was seen straight away. Kate treated me within a minute of arriving and took time to explain and listen. Naturally, I was upset, in a lot of pain and was very tired but Kate, her dental nurse and Greig on reception completely took all the worry away. I left with a wealth of advice from Greig of preventive measures to protect my stomach from the effects of the antibiotics, which I acted on and have had no ill effect. Thank you Kate and Greig for your kindness and professional care which was very much needed and so appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Had two fillings done recently, my dentist did a brilliant job and talked me through the process bit by bit, including the injections given for numbness. No pain just a little scratch from the injection which my dentist informed me of prior. I actually felt that calm in the dentist chair, whilst she was drilling I could have gone to sleep. Great job!

Positive experience: I have just been charged £350 for a checkup with 2 fillings, which took 30min. That is £700 an hour! So I paid a whole week's take-home pay for 30min work. I retire next year and just won't be able to afford to visit a dentist.

Positive experience: Unfortunately, now having gone corporate owned, prices don't reflect the greatest value for money. Dentists are still good, reception is still good, but £55 for a visual 6 minute check up is extortionate. Businesses....keep your independence!

Alison was lovely and explained the whole process and Jeanette comforted me expertly during parts I was more afraid of. I have never had such a lovely experience and I am extremely grateful to have had them for my appointment. their kindness, patience and understanding was outstanding and their quality of care is second to none. I had Alison and tori for a hygiene appointment recently too and they were just as kind and patient so I highly reccomend them if you're in need of a hygiene appointment. Fantastic experience: Had a great fear of dentist, a friend recommended Manor House, I felt really welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. My fears were listened to and I was not made to feel I was being stupid.

Negative experience: Dentist Kate was ok informative and helpful. But the Reception tried to charge me twice for my appointment as I paid over the phone already and they struggled finding the right documents so I had to provide my bank app as proof! The Hygienist did a terrible job not finishing it because someone knocked on the door. So half of my teeth did not feel clean at all and had that feeling for a week now. But still got charged the full amount and the management said they would come back to me the following week which has not happened. Their technology they use seems outdated. The amount of money people leave there you would expect the newest technology as with my other private dentists I have seen in Plymouth and Germany. When looking at the x-rays they did not seem very clear I have seen much better shots with surround pictures.

Fantastic experience: Having been in intense pain all over Christmas with suspected tooth abscess or infection, I telephoned on the 28th in the hope of getting an emergency appointment. Not only was I given an appointment by a sympathetic and kind receptionist but the lovely Jan accompanied me to the clinic. Rachel and her nurse were incredibly kind and sympathetic, put me at ease and I felt such relief. Rachel dealt with the problem, gave further advice and the reassurance that if I did not get any better to telephone again. Could not have had better treatment anywhere in the country. Huge thank you to everyone.

Negative experience: I recently broke my tooth, this happened at 18.30 on Wednesday evening, I left a message on the surgery answering machine. Within 5 minutes I got a call back from Jan who was absolutely amazing, she was able to get me an appointment for the next day, I saw Richard who did a fantastic job repairing the damage. We was pleasantly surprised at how much the cleaning standards have picked up recently. The waiting room upstairs looked well dusted down, and has been for quite some time now.
