Laterly I have been under the care of Dr John Mikhail. I cannot fault his patience, professionalism and excellent care. I have had injection moulding and so far the results are very promising. Fantastic experience: I use a mixture of NHS and private dental care depending on my needs and I've been using the Chrysalis Dental Practice for a few years now. The staff are always polite and friendly and the dental care is not only excellent, they offer a wide range of services. My check-ups are NHS but, sometimes there are things the the NHS just can't provide: two of my front teeth are Chrysalis implants. It's true they cost a few bob but for my self esteem alone, they were worth every penny. My last visit was to the hygienist for a de-coke. A comfortable experience well executed.

Fantastic experience: I had to change my dentist from one upstairs to downstairs at Chrysalis, due to my Arthritis and it being difficult to climb the stairs! Everyone was very helpful, and friendly!! The new Dentist was very nice, and the visit went well!

I would not willing allow anyone else to work on my teeth. He has proven to be the best dentist I have ever used. Very happy

Negative experience: I could not attend the appointment as some emergency came up and I was not able to call to cancel the appointment. I have rescheduled the appointment and am not happy that I have to pay £70 again for the dental hygienist appointment.

Fantastic experience: Went to have my teeth cleaned & saw Vicky. She was amazing & made me feel comfortable. She gave me loads of tips & will definitely continue seeing her in the future!!

Fantastic experience: Such a reassuring experience to meet and be given sound advice. My dentist used up to date equipment to xray all my teeth and fill any that were necessary. The treatment is on going but I have no concerns at all about going to the dentist now.

The only minus point is the reception staff that ignore you when you arrive, and you stand there like a dummy until they deign to acknowledge you. Hopefully my previous two complaints will lead to this being addressed but not holding my breath.

I always been welcomed with a smile , the treatments and prices are always explained . My dental surgeon for the last few years at chrysalis has been Jayna she is very professional. She talks me through any treatments she feels right for me and the work she has done on my teeth so far has been fab .

Fantastic experience: I recently underwent a dental implant procedure at Chrysalis dental surgery. Although this was my 2nd implant, Dr Hussain again thoroughly explained all my options and exactly what would be involved. The whole procedure from initial scans and preparation to the eventual placement of implant were performed with immense care and total consideration for my comfort. I am delighted with the outcome and would recommend Dr Hussain without reservation to anyone considering tooth implant surgery. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a registered patient with Chrysalis for a few years now under Dr. Hussain. My most recent treatment is an ongoing Implant, which so far has been 10/10. Dr Hussain & the team are very thorough, gentle and patient. Everything is explained and you are guided through the entire process from start to finish. He is by far the best dentist I’ve experienced & is used by my entire family. Highly recommend.

They all have such a kind manner as I am a very nervous patient and they treat me with such respect and kindness. I am looked after very well. I really recommend this practice for routine dental work for keeping your teeth in good condition and having technical and specialist work done too. Everything is always explained very clearly. It’s a great practice. Update 2025 I have just had my second implant this time Dr Hussain provided my treatment and again I had fabulous service and a wonderful outcome. Dr Hussain was so kind and patient and talked me through each step and put me at ease. This made a huge difference and I was very calm and didn’t require sedation which I had with my first implant a big improvement and a credit to the whole team. I recommend the practice to everyone and have done so recently and was delighted that they joined. I go regularly for hygienist cleaning due to my implants and this service is fantastic too and has really improved my oral health.

Dr Gurshinder Jaswal, Bobby, explained about the procedure and the various stages and dental visits that had to be made. Was guided on what to eat to make the implant a success and the new tooth looks just like my other teeth, so very happy.

Fantastic experience: I was booked in to see Melissa for my annual(or biannual :-) dental hygeinist session.She was very friendly/chatty,to the extent that you can at a dental appointment.She proceeded to very thoroughly undertake a descale and polish of my teeth.It was the MOST THOROUGH I had ever had,and I guess she significantly overran my official appointment.I did have sore /sensitive teeth and gums for a couple of days,but that's all cleared up now,and a very small price to pay for the sheer quality of her work.I VERY HIGHLY recommend this Hygeinist and have made a note for my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: The immediate impression when you enter the practice is that this a well organised practice with attention to detail with its presentation to the patient. Well lit, open plan, high level of professional presentation to the patient’s, this giving a sense of calmness and reassurance. The actual procedure and the team who carried out the procedure were all very polite, very professional and they took the time to explain everything that was about to happen, stressing certain aspects of the procedure, so I was totally aware of what was going to happen and why it was going to happen. And throughout the whole time during the procedure, members of the team were checking that I was okay, and if I was having any problems or issues. The whole procedure was carried out with calmness, politeness, professionalism and with care for me as the patient. And at all times I was kept informed at every stage, so I was totally aware and that there were no sudden shocks. In my 72 years of receiving dental treatment, this was the most professional and rewarding experience that I have ever experienced.

The treatment itself was so smooth and stress free on my end, which was amazing as the procedure gave me a lot of anxiety prior to arrival. Fantastic experience: Please let me start by saying all dentist terrify me. I don’t know why it’s just the way I am. I had to have two teeth stumps removed as the teeth had broken just above the gum line. To say I was nervous the night before would be an understatement (I didn’t sleep at all) so come the morning and off I go praying it wouldn’t be too bad an experience. It wasn’t (a bad experience) in fact I go as far as to say as visits to dentist go it was amazing!! I turned up to a very nice (sparkling in fact) surgery reception. The receptionist were very pleasant and I was called in within a few minutes to see Mr Mustafa Zahran (a very pleasant fellow himself) I swear Mr Zahran looked at my problem teeth, injected the numbing stuff and took out the teeth no fuss, no muss and definitely no problems!! I didn’t feel a thing. All that worry and stress over and done I’m sat here writing this review in no pain what so ever. So thank you Mr Mustafa Zahran not every visit to the dentist has to be a nightmare in fact if you get the courage to go I highly recommend a very pleasant fellow himself.

Fantastic experience: I saw Omar this morning and although I was there to have a tooth out which i Hadn’t been looking forward to he made it so easy for me. He explained everything very clearly and the nurses made me feel comfortable and at ease. I asked lots of questions which is how I react when nervous but he was so polite and thoughtful. I would encourage anyone to come here with no worries. Who would have thought I would be recommending a dentist! Fantastic experience: I have always HATED the dentist, But this dentist was recommended to be by someone who is a very nervous patient & since I have been going here which is about 6 years now I have felt much more relaxed, I have had extractions & fillings here when previously I had to go to hospital for any work due to being so scared about dental procedures. I have always seen Dr Jaswal who had been amazing and always put me at ease and explained to me what was going to happen. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Chrysalis for four years, ever since moving to Bedford. The main reason I continue to stay with this practice is Dr. Hussein. His dedication, expertise, and genuine care for his patients make him a standout professional in the field of dentistry, truly the best I have ever had. He is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, qualities that significantly enhance the patient experience. The reception staff are courteous and welcoming, however, some improvement to their client interactions would go a long way. Recently I recommended a friend go there to see Dr Hussein as she needed some work done, and after multiple attempts to book in a consultation she ended up going to a practice in Milton Keynes instead. The front desk repeatedly promised to call her back but failed to do so, leaving her with the impression that they were uninterested in helping her. Despite this, the overall experience at this practice remains highly positive and their friendly nature adds to that. Recently, my son had a severe accident, and Dr. Hussein kindly stayed after hours to attend to him, sparing us a lengthy visit to the emergency room - we stayed less than 10 minutes in the clinic! His compassionate response and professional care were remarkable, and as a result, my son is no longer afraid of the dentist. I highly recommend this practice, especially for the outstanding service provided by Dr. Hussein and the wonderful dental nurses. But, most important, was that I didn’t like what I was seeing when looking in the mirror… In December 2022 I had the initial assessment with Dr Patel when the implant process was explained together with discussing the payment plan. That gave me the confidence to proceed with joy and excitement, Dr Patel was very reassuring. This 18 months journey has been sometimes scary for me, especially before the first intervention, the stem-cells bone addition, but Dr Patel was brilliant in his approach, both professionally and as a person. He even asked me what kind of music I would like to listen during the procedure! To me it mattered that he took the time in walking me through every procedure beforehand.
