Negative experience: I was initially pleased with my teeth, but after just three years the composite looks very worn and has chipped. When I contacted the clinic, I was immediately told that I grind my teeth and that I would be charged for the repair. I do not grind my teeth, and after spending nearly £1,000, I would have expected better customer service and greater longevity. Teeth are meant to last a lifetime.

Fantastic experience: I went to Maison dental after a friend recommended them from seeing their posts online. From the get go the service was brilliant, quick responses on the emails to get it started thanks to Grace, then I was booked in straight away for a consultation with Dr Alex. I was offered a spot the next day for my sugary which I thought was unreal, unfortunately I couldn’t make it so 4 days later I had it. The procedure I had was composite bonding and it’s perfect can’t not fault it. Dr Alex and his team are very professional and genuine which makes the whole experience worth it. 10/10 thank you.

In the U.S., it’s rare to find dentists who specialize in composite bonding; most focus on more permanent options like veneers. While I understand the appeal, I wanted something more natural and flexible…something that lasts with proper upkeep but still allows me to make changes as I evolve. Fantastic experience: I recently had composite bonding on my top 6 teeth with Dr Alex, and had the most amazing experience! He made me feel so comfortable and so reassured the whole time and my results are absolutely perfect. They look exactly as I wanted, down to the colour, shade and size. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Alex for over 8 years now and couldn’t fault his craftsmanship. I initially had 8 composite veneers back in 2018 and have just had a full replacement. My first composite veneers would have lasted longer than now (2025) but I felt it was time to renew them and I could not be happier. Dr Alex is one of the best. Be transparent in what you want and also the shade you’d like. He is very particular about how they look and ensures that you walk out with a renewed smile which you like! No problem is too much and if you have any problems, Dr Alex is more than happy to help - just message the clinic, or chat with Grace on WhatsApp; she’s also happy to help. Negative experience: If I could give this place -5 and remove the word “stars,” I would. When I first had my fillings done, I was impressed by how nice Alex was and the vibe of the place, so I didn’t think anything bad of it. I was told I needed four fillings and agreed. One of my fillings, after a few months, became painful to chew on. Alex suggested I come back in, and he refilled it again — no X-ray, just a bite test. I assumed he understood what the issue was. After the second filling, I experienced the same issue. Alex then suggested coming in for a third refill — again, no X-ray, just a bite test. Luckily, I didn’t go back for that third filling because I unfortunately ended up with an abscess in the molar directly under the badly filled tooth. What I went through from that infection was one of the worst pains I’ve ever had. I ended up in hospital and now I’ve had to get a root canal. The filling Alex had done was not sealed properly, and it was confirmed that decay was left in the tooth. After some back and forth, I received a refund for the fillings Alex had done. However, that alone doesn’t cover the cost of the root canal — only about half and forget about the other two teeth that now need further dental work. The tooth above the one with the root canal still has ongoing issues — I haven’t been able to chew on my left side for months now. It’s chipped right where the filling was placed at the back and the front and I’m experiencing the same sensation I had in the lower molar that ended up infected. I also can’t chew properly on the third tooth he worked on (on the right side), due to ongoing sensitivity, which is the only side I have to chew on. Before seeing this dentist, I had no issues at all. I only went in to replace two old fillings I’d had for 15 years — purely for cosmetic reasons. I don’t usually leave reviews, but because this is an ongoing issue, I want to make it clear that a refund doesn’t undo the damage and that resolution was for the tooth that needed a root canal and now I will have to get an onlay and and possibly a crown on the tooth above, I don’t believe a competent dentist would produce this level of work. I will be reporting this dentist and his practice.

Fantastic experience: Had composite bonding on upper 6 teeth with Alex. Really pleased with the work he carried out. Alex is a complete perfectionist. I had to go back for a couple of tweaks and he would not let me leave until I was completely satisfied . A true professional and super friendly.

He re-did my partner’s composite bonding (Fixing work which was previously done elsewhere) & did a mixture of composite edge bonding & composite veneers for me. Negative experience: NO GUARANTEE & NO WARNTY .Before you do this , they do not give you a warranty , not even a guarantee , nothing once you've walked out , this is the only Dentist that does not . I had 8 teeth done , one has chipped in half , they want 1.5 k sent before they'll even look at it . And another 2k to fix it , Ive only had then done 4 yrs , Oh and a very rude receptionist who spoke to me like I was a peasant .

I went to Maison dental for composite veneers a couple years ago and I walked out very happy with the transformation. 2 years later, my preference of style had changed, and I wanted a change. Because Dr Alex is such a perfectionist, he felt he wanted to start from scratch again and offered to completely re do them from scratch, Obviously I was over the moon and couldn’t be happier. Fantastic experience: After trialling numerous dentists and appointments with other clinics I finally found someone who gave me the result I wanted! Was so happy with my treatment and the service provided by Dr Alex he was so professional and really understanding of what I wanted. He knew I wanted a really natural look with edge bonding and thats exactly what I got I have had so many compliments on my teeth since. 10/10 recommend.

Negative experience: I had my composite bonding done by Dr Alex Al-Shaikh I personally think he is all show using high quality marketing with instagram influencers to lure you in, but in reality the dentist work he performed on me is extremely poor and I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. I saw a well known girl on his instagram who apparently had her teeth done by him, which I’m now dubious of, as finding photos of her teeth beforehand, you’ll see she already had the same teeth but maybe he cleaned them up. Anyway, I went to him and basically said - “I want teeth like hers, is it possible with bonding” . I was told ‘yes yes of course’, I was told everything I needed to hear to get me to go through with it. Because bonding can only go over your current teeth, he ended up giving me extremely large teeth, too big for my mouth and they didn’t look anything like he’d promised them to be. I understand he can only go over what you have but he didn’t explain that to me, he just sold me a lie that i would effectively have veneers without the hassle. Because he’d bonded them so much he absolutely ruined my bite to the point I couldn’t even get my back teeth to close together, yet I was told everything was fine. Within 2 weeks one of the teeth had already chipped. In the next year or so it wasn’t long before more chips, dents and deformities showed up all over, the teeth looked dreadful and I regretted so much spending the money with him. I’ve since been to another dentist who has now give me proper veneers and confirmed the teeth were way too big for my mouth, he actually spent several sessions working on my bite alone trying to fix what Dr Alex Al-Shaikh had done to me. Overall I was extremely disappointed. Not only did he not give me the look, shape or colour he had promised but the actual quality of the bonding was so poor that they very quickly deteriorated and looked awful.

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend this dentist enough. I have been keen to come to Dr Alex for my teeth for a couple of years and finally did it. I got ten composite veneers. Dr Alex is not only great at what he does and professional, but he also has such a lovely energy and is such a nice person. Made me feel so relaxed and at ease. He has done my teeth amazing. Grace who deals with WhatsApp is also really nice and really helpful. Everyone in the dentist was. They also respond very quickly with any queries you have. To Dr Alex being an absolute magician when sculpting my teeth. He listed to what I wanted and what I wanted to see when I looked in the mirror. Fantastic experience: A great experience with Maison Dental! I had a very unique crossbite and didn't want to wait 18 months for braces to correct it. Dr Alex has done composite veneers aswell as a porcelain crown replacement on myself which made me feel much more confident when speaking or even smiling now. I also really appreciated how he made sure I was always comfortable during the treatment and asking if I was OK. My bite feels and looks drastically better now. I am so pleased I made this choice to be seen by Dr Alex. Definitely recommend :)

Positive experience: Really not happy.. used this dentist over a number of times and spent over £1000 - bear in mind there was issues after I had spend this. I am now having issues with one of my teeth after having a root canal in 2022. I have requested a copy of my X-Rays on 7th March, since then I have emailed again on 19th March and phoned everyone couple of days as I have heard nothing. I phoned again on Wednesday where I was promised by the receptionist that Dr Alex will be made aware and will send them over to me by Friday latest, still got nothing. I would like these sent over to me ASAP, I will be contacting the financial ombudsman and trading standards if I do not have a proper response by Monday lunchtime. Update: I have edited my review from a 1 to a 3. As I received my X-rays the next day after leaving this review, still would’ve appreciated them to be sent over when I was told they would’ve been. They are a good dentist and take there time when actually getting the dental work done, nothing against Dr Sunny as he is amazing! But receptionists and customer service isn’t great.

He takes time with his work ensuring a perfect finish but most importantly, your perfect finish. For about 2 years I had severe problems with composite bonding that was not done correctly by another dentist, giving me numerous problems, pain and discomfort. I never wanted to smile showing teeth as my confidence took a huge knock. After having them removed Dr Alex worked his magic and hand crafter such a beautiful set of composite veneers for me.
