Moopen Dental Care Northampton: Reviews
Negative experience: honestly it would be no stars if i could. you cannot get through to book an appointment for love nor money: the website contact form is glitchy, the call back option results in zero call backs, no one answers the phone and they cancel appointments repeatedly at the last minute. ive just been on hold for 45 minutes and was then inexplicably cut off. if you do manage to get an appointment, be prepared for a good hours wait past your scheduled time. awful. heres hoping i can get my child registered elsewhere.
Negative experience: Worst dentist ever. The Service is very slow. Took my 2 kids a few times every time we go there all they do is “simple check up” they know my kids needs braces and it’s been 2 years and their still on the waiting list. Absolutely waste of time.
Negative experience: The worst dentist I’ve ever used! Lack of communication between front check in/out desk and dentist. I have had a composite filling fall out 3 times in the space of 4 months. Have tried calling to book an appointment. No answer and was on hold for over 2 hours! AVOID AT ALL COST
Fantastic experience: I’m not a fan of dentists after some bad experiences at different surgeries, but Dr Neha Jain has completely changed my mind. She made me feel at ease from the first appointment, ensuring I was okay and asking if I needed to stop. She was honest about the treatment required and the possible failure of other treatments I had asked about. As much as the dentist still terrifies me, Dr Neha Jain has made me feel a little more comfortable.
Negative experience: Absolutely awful. Myself, my partner and two sons were registered after going in personally to fill out the forms. Once we received confirmation we were registered we have never been able to get in contact to make any appointments. It's been over a year of not once them answering the phone. Or the messages they used to refer you to make. We would leave messages also and never got a reply. Whay a waste of time and have been on the hunt for a new dentist for a few months.
Negative experience: Second or even third time this has happened, booked check up appointment only to be cancelled 2 days before, first excuse was dentist moved to another practice, Second was dentist was ill, wonder what the next one will be.
Negative experience: Booked in for a standard check up, waited over a hour and a half. Only to be told they can't do it today returned back over 5 times only to be told the same after waiting over an hour each time. Shocking dentist don't waste your time with these cowboys. But oooo when I miss and appointment they take me off their books. Pathetic and shocking.
Negative experience: The owner who was a doctor undertook a treatment involving another doctor from the practice who was unwilling to do the treatment and, as a result, damaged the enamel of some of my teeth after postponing my appointments for months.
Negative experience: They cancel your appointment last minute every time and never answer the phone. Very frustrating
Negative experience: I registered with Moopen as it was the only dentist taking on NHS patients at the time. Managed to book in for a check up and the dentist was rather abrupt and barely looked at my teeth. Booked my next check up for the following 6 months for it to be cancelled multiple times. Can’t get through to anyone on the phone to secure a new date/time and now it’s been over a year since my first appointment. So, I’m assuming I will now be taken off of their books as a patient. Personally, I would avoid.
Fantastic experience: Check up after nearly 2 years,Rahana decided a deep clean after checkup, had to wait 20 minutes nothing more, cannot state how much everything was done, I'd give more than 5 star's if I could, thanks to both Rahana and her assistant
Positive experience: Mr Waheed is a really nice, helpful dentist, would recommend him to anyone. Moopen Dental Care though is overbooked it seems, as appointments are around 2 months apart
Negative experience: Disgusting dental practise, patient care is awful don’t go there. They cancelled 3 appointments on me with no excuse the second one I arrived he dentist had gone home!!! And one 30 mins prior to the appointment time. And one the day before MID WAY THROUGH ROOT CANAL treatment they’ve left me with no temporary filling and when I’ve expressed serious upset I’m no longer allowed an appointment vile people vile practise vile treatment
Negative experience: I am a registered patient with Moopen Dental Practice. I had composite bonding on my front tooth to repair discolouration. It fell out the same day, I returned the next day for the dentist to redo it. When I got home I looked at my tooth, the dentist has used the wrong colour for my tooth. It looks bright yellow compared to the rest of my teeth. I have been trying to contact Moopen dental practise to get an appointment for weeks, it seems no one ever answers the phones. I sit on hold for hours and hours a day and can never get through. Honestly avoid.
Negative experience: Gone massively downhill last few years. Used to be really good but now they are just terrible. Every appointment I make gets cancelled and when I finally do get in I have to go back as the filling has fallen out after 3 days but of course they don't answer the bloody phone when you try to get back in. My actual dentist was Nick who's was very good but since he's left I see someone different everytime and since then the service has been awful. I'm going to find a new practice.
Positive experience: Not had great experience, every time I have an appointment they cancel it close to the time, some times they don't tell you and you take time off work, to tell you when you get there its cancelled. Good service when you actually get in there.
Negative experience: Cancel appointments glad to find a new dentist really rude staff don't care about there patients takes ages to get through on phone they hurt your teeth no respect was in agony for over 2 weeks
Negative experience: Avoid like the plague, at least pay to go somewhere else. If you go here, be expected to pay a lot more to get corrective treatment at a later date. 1 root canal and 2 fillings later, I have to have 2 teeth removed and replaced. Botched jobs spring to mind!
Hello Catherine. Could you please provide us with your details so that we can look into it. Thank you
Negative experience: Dentists are good if you manage to get an appointment without them cancelling last minute over and over again. Always seems to be an emergency which i assume if a private patient has booked an appointment so they are cancelling the nhs patients. Phones are never answered, answer phone messages never answered, emails never answered. Last appointment over a year ago was over an hour late and receptionist was rude. Have only remained because the dentists are actually really good if they still exisit. Have been a customer for years and not had problems however it is now shockingly poor. If you like having you time wasted it might be the dentist for you.
Negative experience: Just had a tooth extraction. Very good service, listened to my concern and made me feel at ease. Hate any needles in the mouth etc. So was very reassuring. Thank you After a year, I feel I wasn't given good options or the outcome of options. Over year later I regret the extraction of the uppee molar, they should have done everything to repair it or keep.
Negative experience: I waited 10 months to see an orthodontist. On the day of the meeting 30 minutes before the scheduled time they called and said they had postponed the cancellation until next month. Wasted holiday and lot of time.
Negative experience: I been here for 2 years and I've got seen twice 1st time they saw me and the second i was waiting for 2 hrs to be seen so i walked out. I called after this as I needed teeth out and they booked me in and then few days before my appointment thay cancelled and I called 3 more times after that and all 3 times they cancelled
Negative experience: Had really horrible experience with this dentist, I don’t know how they are able to continue with the business, we had appointment with my husband and my children back in August, I was miss advised by the dentist, he asked if we are on universal credit which we are, he goes than you don’t have to pay, my mistake is I didn’t have any clue about ins and outs so we signed up forms without reading much blindly went through with what he said, week later we received £100 pounds penalty charge for each of us , which was shocking, to top everything up they claimed more money than the service my husband received on the day , I wouldn’t have clue if we didn’t receive any letters, they must be robbing government money like that often as people wouldn’t know what they claimed, It’s been 3 months I have been to the reception the lady was awful, she goes it’s between me and my universal credit they already claimed they can’t do anything about it, I get that but if you are wrongly claiming more money than the service we received of course you are the one who need to do something about it. She goes I wasn’t in the room so I don’t know I’ve been calling for past 3 months and sending emails of course they been ignoring, basically calling me a lair for some £30 pounds. Eventually I’ve spoken to a manager she called her self and given me miss information again saying they had adjusted the claim month ago but when I call nhs they say there’s nothing. The amount of stress they made me go through it’s ridiculous, I had to give my baby to someone else care to visit them to sort this out but only to be told that they already claimed it’s my problem I have to fight for it.I understand the penalty charge that I shouldn’t have been so naive about it but don’t claim more than what service you have provided and call me a liar for bloody £30 pounds.
Negative experience: Don't bother. My partner and I signed up as NHS patients as we'd recently moved into the area and Moopen were one of the few practices claiming to have availability for non-private patients. I went in for an initial checkup and was told that I needed three fillings. Fine I thought - it had been a while since I'd seen a dentist so time to pay the piper. I said yes and didn't even leave the chair before the dentist was back in my mouth doing the fillings. Having told my partner I'd had my first fillings that day I was surprised to be told that you're usually given local anaesthetic beforehand, which explained why the experience was less than pleasant. Anyway, flash forward to today, just over a year later when I've been told that the fillings have already abraded away, if indeed they were ever filled to an appropriate depth (which having seen other fillings, I now strongly doubt). Further, my new dentist has today told me that one of the Moopen fillings is covering an area of active decay, which now needs to be treated separately and at further cost, though thankfully with anaesthetic this time.. I can also echo other reviewers' complaints that Moopen never pick up the phone and don't call back when you leave them a message. They've also cancelled more than one of my appointments with no subsequent effort made to rearrange. In sum: Moopen are fine if you don't mind having to struggle to get poor treatment. My overall impression is that these guys are taking as much advantage as possible of people who are simply thankful to be able to access an affordable NHS dentist, and are trying to get as many people on the books as they can manage. My advice is to not be one of them!
Fantastic experience: I had implant treatment with Dr Sameer. He has an effiecnt , slick and professional approach. His team and all staff are polite and helpful. I would strongly recommend Moopen dental practice for implant treatment.
Negative experience: I booked an appointment back in February for August. I recieved a text a few days before to say that they have cancelled the appointment and to call them to rearrange. I have called multiple times, I have left multiple voicemails, to no avail. Just tried calling again and it states that they are closed, and to call within opening hours which is now. If I could give zero stars I would. Still waiting for my first appointment.
Positive experience: Changed the time of my appointment. Twice or more I think, but I don't do texts and did not know. Then telephoned me that my appointment was cancelled. However they fitted me in because I was already just outside, hence the 3 stars. Charge nearly £30 for about a 2 min inspection and then told me I've got to pay and come back to have my teeth cleaned. My old dentist always done this as part of the routine check up appointment. Keep sending me texts to a phone that does not have a text facility.
Negative experience: I have no idea how this dentist stays open. I have made 9 calls leaving 9 separate messages asking for an appointment call back. A service that is offered. Not once has anybody called me back. It beyond disgusting. I have tried the alternative approach which is staying on the phone but I've yet to pass 60 minutes without giving up and hanging the phone up. First impressions count and the initial contact should make an impression in any line of business. My impression is this service is hopeless. I have been trying to book a routine dental appointment for over 12 months. I totally expect that in the event someone actually picks up the phone they'll tell me I havent been for 12 months and my name has been taken off their patient list!! lost for words!!
Negative experience: Have cancelled 4 appointments in the last 3 months. I ring up to rebook and they leave me on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up on me. Nothing wrong with the appointments I have been to, just never able to get to see a dentist.
Fantastic experience: Had a dentist appointment today and I am more than pleased. The dentist had absolutely lovely customer service and was very polite. Very rare now for people to have manners or good customer service so this was a nice pleasant surprise and it made my day. They also did excellent work on my teeth cleaning and I'm very happy.
Fantastic experience: I suffer with really bad anxiety and have a phobia of dentist. This was my first visit in over 15 years and they were amazing. I was spoken to directly and clearly throughout the appointment. Adaptions were made to suit my needs. I will be going back. I will be able to smile again. A plan is in place to support myself. Ty
Negative experience: Would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. I don’t know how this place is allowed to remain open. I have been with them for many years untill recently when I received a letter saying they are de-registering me for missing 2 appointments in the last 12 months. However, the last one was only missed because I tried to call a day in advance 8 times to rearrange the appointment but no one answered the phone. I left 3 voicemails clearly requesting calls back and left my contact details and the reason for my call and still no call back this was over a 5 hour period. I then called again the next day which was still before my appointment and left a further voicemail. Even asked for the manager to call me but still no one answered the phone or called me back. The manager certainly didn’t. Since being at the practice, getting hold of them has always been extremely difficult as they have not returned my calls on many previous occasions. The other missed appointment was due to confusion over timings as they sent me multiple texts and they took my deposit so they still got paid so it’s not like they’re out of pocket. There have also been plenty of times where they have cancelled appointments on me at short notice where I have then had to wait weeks for another one but they don’t have a problem with that. Also since being at the practice I have gone to appointments and got into the appointment to find I have been given appointment with someone else without my consent or prior warning, they have also done this to my sister which is disgusting as many get anxious going to the dentist anyway so they need consistency of seeing the same people to make this easier. Since I have visited this practice, I have also had an occasion where I did attend an appointment and the receptionist tried to over charging me. Only when I questioned it, did this not happen. The receptionists are also very rude and unhelpful and the dentist’s there don’t listen properly because they are often rushing due to always running late. No care or compassion shown to patients by the staff and they are not very accessible or accommodating to disabled people or people with babies and pushchairs. I had to carry my son in a car seat at several narrow stairways and my partner had to follow carrying the pushchair up. No parking available either. The best thing about this practice was the hygienist but she has now left due to how bad the place has become. She was the only thing keeping me there as there is absolutely no other redeeming qualities. My missed appointment was last Friday and today is Tuesday. Still no call back to my many voicemails although I have been calling them since last thursday but they’ve been able to send a letter. Absolutely disgraceful.
Negative experience: Been trying to get through for about a week now to update my phone number with them and check that I still have my appointment this week, you are left on hold for nearly a hour each time and they hang up as soon as they answer. One of the worst dentists to try to contact. They definitely ignore incoming calls, and when they do answer they usually hang up straight away without you being able to speak to anyone. Now trying to call again and I’ve been hung up on 3 times Update, they have cancelled my appointment that I’ve had book for over two months. All the people I know have had their appointments cancelled also. No explanation given. And when you try to call, they don’t answer. I’m in urgent need of dental care and my teeth are starting to hurt and crack:
Negative experience: They hardly answer any calls and appointments for routine visits are 3-5months ahead. Even when you try to book one, it get cancelled a week before and will ask you to reschedule for another 2-3 months ahead. Needed emergency care after, calling few times every day, no answer and when I try to make in the clinic reception, I was unable as I could only book over the phone that no one answer.
Negative experience: Absolutely shocking… NEVER answer the phone.. most likely cannot be bothered! I do not believe they are constantly on the phone every working hour of the day everyday! I’ve rang everyday and never get through! Was on the waiting list for over a year and when got accepted they have cancelled and rescheduled my appointment at least 4 times! Don’t waste your time and find somewhere else if you can!
Negative experience: DO NOT REGISTER AT THIS DENTIST! Would rate 0 if I could. Myself and my family have been clients at this dental practice for years and it has gone massively downhill. Absolutely appalling service. No one ever answers the phones or even calls you back when you leave a voicemail. The reception team are shocking. And whenever you go in they are rarely on the phone and are wearing headsets so seems that they are just ignoring the phones. Saw a lovely dentist who worked well with my son (who has additional needs and does not cope well with the dentist), dentist could see a large cavity and after a discussion said he would make a referral to the hospital for my son to receive treatment there for his cavity. Months went by and we did not hear anything, on his next appointment we asked the dentist again and he was surprised we had not heard anything and said the referral had definitely been made. Obviously we understand referrals and waiting lists are extremely long so we gave plenty of time...it has now been a year and we have had enough of waiting so we called the dental service at the hospital ourselves to be told there was no referral and they never received one. To say I am furious is an understatement! So naturally I have tried to call Shams Moopen to complain about this....and of course no one is answering the phone. Myself and my family shall be finding a new dentist ASAP, save yourself the bother and find a surgery with some degree of competence.
Negative experience: Unprofessional staff. One dentist was loudly voicing her negative opinion about an email sent out at 4:30pm. The waiting room could hear her which felt awkward as she stormed out the room and walked past us. The staff were very unfriendly towards each other having disagreements in front of patients which felt uncomfortable.
Fantastic experience: My teenage daughter enjoys going to the dentist for her checkup & today was just as good. She said Dentist & nurse are very friendly and kind. Just been put on the waiting list for braces, Praying that don't have to wait too long.
Fantastic experience: Moved here after Harborough Road became private. I've experienced nothing but the best treatment from the reception staff, from the assistants and from my dentist himself. That comes after he pulled my tooth out 2 hours ago! Thank you very much to all. I was also seen very quickly due to a tooth infection, antibiotics changed immediately after first dose was making me poorly. Cannot fault 5*****
Fantastic experience: Very good service and care, very busy on the day of my visit, but staff were apologetic and clearly trying to give the best service to all. Happy with the experience and the follow up care. Happy to return with no complaints.
Fantastic experience: Excellent treatment. Plenty of advice given. Was able to take my payment and book my next appointment in the treatment room so I didn’t need to go back to reception. Highly recommended.
Negative experience: Never answer the phone, if you leave a voicemail they never get back to you. Have to go in physically for a hope of seeing a receptionist. Booked an appt in January- couldn’t get in until August, called 2 days before to cancel and rearrange for November. Clearly taken on too many NHS patients and like most dentists, just want the private money. Won’t see registered patients as emergency if they haven’t been in last 12 months, yet they keep cancelling and pushing appointments back so you have no hope of ever going every 12 months. Absolute shambles.
Negative experience: RANT...After several cancellations by the dentist , I finally get an appt , get mouth xrayed only to find that they never saved the scans, so after coming for another appt. New xrays taken, was told to make the earliest appt to start treatment, spoke with reception was given a next day appt at 10.15am which i commented and said are you sure as It has been cancelled so many times i couldnt be I would get a next day appt.Low and behold I am called the next (approx 9am) morning to say SHOCK HORROR my appt has been cancelled yet again because dentist was ill..(The same dentist who told me that they are never ill)...Do I feel a bit Peed..off what do you lot think.!!
Fantastic experience: Great practice. Diagnosed issues very quickly and dealt with them there and then vs. Making me come back for a follow up appointment. Very efficient. Glad to be on the books here.
Fantastic experience: Being able to bring my toddler in with me last minute was an absolute life saver. Dentist and assistant were excellent. I'm also relieved I don't need any work down. Several years ago a private dentist insisted I had 5 cavities requiring treatment. NHS dentist said keep brushing!
Fantastic experience: A friendly and professional service, giving advice and reassurance. The treatments and examinations are courteous and thorough and meet with my expectations. Today's check-up was thorough and flagged up some work that needs to be done, so well worth the timely visit. At the latest visit, the tooth extraction went very smoothly.
Hi David, Thank you leaving us a review, I will pass on your thanks to Dr Waheed, we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
Fantastic experience: An old large filling fell out last Saturday. I got an appointment quickly (unaware that this was a therapist) and was given another appointment to see the dentist. Despite the suggestion from the therapist that I would possibly need a crown I have had a replacement filling and am very relieved to not have had more invasive work. Mehwish gave me my options and her explanations were clear and detailed. The dental nurse was also amazing. So thank you both. The reception staff were also friendly and polite. Kerry
Fantastic experience: The dentist we have treating us is Huma khan. She has been very patient and caring towards my son who has had a dfficult time with his dental treatment . She is very professional and dedicated dentist who takes pride in her work Will recommend to anyone
Negative experience: So after trying to tell them that I need a crown fitting as mine has fallen out, they have booked me with different people. When I finally get in to get it fixed, it's not even in from the technicians. Now to be booked in November and a whole year that I've been trying to get this sorted. This practice has gone down big time. They don't even answer the phones.
Fantastic experience: I've avoided going to the dentist for years, but had no choice but to start going. Had several appointments here now and they have done great work. All the staff are very polite and friendly. I don't actually mind going to the dentist anymore.
Fantastic experience: I had to wait a year, withstand three cancellations but eventually got my tooth done. It is beautiful. I take pleasure from watching it in the mirror. The appointment itself was an amazing experience. I will definitely come back. The dentist was handsome and dentist assistant very pretty. Cannot wait for the next appointment. Let's hope I won't have to wait another year.
Negative experience: Been cancelled on for all 3 of my dental appointments and this started from way back in December 2023. My condition has now become so much worse and I cannot get seen as they never pick up the phone. I’ve been told that I’m not eligible to get an emergency appointment due to not having my first initial assessment appointment but can’t get the appointment because they keep cancelling!!!
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this place. Reception always professional and welcoming. The doctor that I'm going to is great, very professional, straight to the point with great knowledge. Everything will be explained to you before it happens. 5 stars.
Fantastic experience: On my last two visits I have had the pleasure of dealing with Receptionist Emily (young lady with red and black hair). I found her friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. She is not phased by any situation and appears to know how to deal with any/every complication that I or other clients have thrown at her. She always takes time to explain everything and answer all my questions. An improvement Opportunity for the practice: screen/iPad could be provided for customers to self check-in on arrival (eg with name & birth date) to direct customers to appropriate waiting area immediately on arrival - this would avoid delays when receptionists are unavailable on the phone. (We have similar system at our local doctors surgery)
Negative experience: Possibly the worst dentist I’ve ever known. Emergency appointment where a cracked tooth was diagnosed. Told to speak to receptionist about an appointment asap. Was told nothing for next 6 weeks (despite not sleeping or eating). Only for that appointment to be cancelled (via text) a few weeks later. The receptionist (with the dyed hair) is possibly the most uncaring and rudest person I’ve met in a long long time.
Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with a new dentist Zia around a month ago to repair a broken filling which has been a problem for me as this would always prove to be a food trap and eventually break off. Time will tell how long this one lasts, but for the first time in over 15 years this has not been trapping food, which I can only put down to his skill and expertise, thank you Zia! :)
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and great staff 150% highly recommended I had complications caused by being on blood thinners I needed a tooth extraction I’ve had pain on and off for over a year but they dealt with it professionally instead of waiting forever to be seen by other means they sorted it there and then 48 hrs later I’m fully recovered and totally pain free no more expensive pain gels that don’t last or paracetamol whoopee
Fantastic experience: Good check up I haven’t been for a couple of years pleasant staff , I had to travel 15 miles to get into this practice as nothing near me , it’s a big but very busy practice , some people were late but still accommodated them and sorting problems out from the patcient side . Quite impressed .
Positive experience: Sometimes waiting for an appointment is long, but they are a big practice. Had an extraction today the dentist I saw was excellent put me at ease and was very gentle no pain whatsoever.
Negative experience: I have been registered with this surgery for a long time and unfortunately the level of patient care has severely deteriorated. Appointments are repeatedly cancelled at the very last minute with no explanation or follow ups- instead you are invited to contact the surgery to ‘re-arrange’ said appointment and it seems the telephone is never answered at this place. I have written to the practice manager and this seems to have gone ignored as I have failed to receive a response. Given the importance that is placed on maintaining oral healthcare it is not only frustrating but VERY disappointing. I would recommend escalating to the ICB should you wish for your dental concerns to be promptly addressed.
Fantastic experience: Having a number of cancellations I was seen today and the dentist I saw Dr Huma and Dental Nurse were so professional and made me feel comfortable and at ease i do I get to keep my this Dr and Dental nurse as it does help ease the anxiety and stress of going having been in a lot of these past few months . This is very busy dental practice and they do their best for all patients and all should be mindful when speaking to the staff here no one deserves to be spoken badly to speak to people how you want to be spoken to.
Negative experience: Iv had 3 appointments canceled on me in a year but yet you advertise for new patients when you can't even accommodate the ones you have, then I ring numerous times leave a message and don't even get a call back. I should have seen the dentist in April had to wait for another app for October as they canx my original app for them to now canx my October app for no fault of mine. It's an absolute joke if you want to actually see a dentist I would not recommend moopen dental
Negative experience: I've not been able to get a check up in over 2 years because they cancel your appointment last minute and when you ring to rebook you can only book six months later the staff are lovely but they never seem to pick up the phone
Thank you Sharna for taking the time to leave a rating for us. We are so glad to hear that you had a wonderful experience at Moopen Dental Care. We look forward to serving you again, soon. Team Moopen Dental Care
Negative experience: If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Moopen Dental has been the worst NHS dental practice I have ever been to. It's near impossible to get an appointment, but when I managed to get one, they cancelled the day before with no explanation or offer of a new appointment date. When I rescheduled, I had to wait another 2 months to be seen. Again, they cancelled! Meanwhile, I suffered a severely broken tooth which required an emergency appointment. You can only book one by calling between 8:30am and 9am on the day. I tried every day for 5 weeks but they were always fully booked! Each day they assured me I would be on a list for cancellations, but I think they just say that. Out of desperation and concern as my teeth were beginning to worsen with the wait, I had to go to a private dental practice. They identified MULTIPLE cavities that Moopen Dental hadn't even checked!
Positive experience: Despite paying £60 for a 20 minute private hygiene appointment, they were 35 minutes late. They are always late and need to start informing patients ahead of time so we can maybe arrive a bit later. I was late back to work. Be a different story if the patient was running late as we'd be charged extra. The appointment was good though, thorough and the hygienist was lovely .
Fantastic experience: All staff very helpful and considerate, dentist explained treatment required and gave time to consider options. Very satisfied. Second visit not looking forward to root canal work but Mr Waheed administered a painless injection and carried out the treatment skilfully with consideration, explaining what he was doing to put me at ease. Why was I worried? After several months finally finished with proceedures, time taken due to a spell in hospital not due to dentist, Iam able to smile again thanks to the excellent service given.
Hello Derek, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review we are glad to hear you are happy with your experience with us. We look forward to seeing you for future appointments! Moopen Dental Care
Fantastic experience: Nice staff, from the reception to the doctors. The doctor I went to today was very nice, she listened to me and gave me only good advice. She fixed my painful mass and made a plan for the future at the dentist. I recommend this clinic to everyone, I've always been warmly received and that's why I recommend it, all you have to do is be like customers... nice to the staff.❤️
Fantastic experience: I have been with Moopen Dental Care Northampton for decades and extremely satisfied with its quality service and customer-focused approach. I would like to recommend it to any dental NHS patient looking for care in safe hands.1515 If you want reliable dental care, go to Moopen Dental Care Northampton. Nowhere else will you find such caring and competent dentists. Highly skilled and well planned, my doctor gave me first-class treatment as scheduled (without letting me wait for long) this morning. Contact Moopen today, you would be as lucky as I am.
Hi William, Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it. Thank you for recommending us, we look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
Fantastic experience: Had a couple of appointments so far, very happy with everything...dentist was very friendly, informative, helpful and most importantly did a great job.
Fantastic experience: Visited the new hygienist for first time this week. Extremely friendly and knowledgable and make the appointment a doddle. Many thanks for the great service as always!
Fantastic experience: Dentist very professional and friendly, appointment pretty much on time. Recommended a clean with the hygienist. Booked following Monday, job done one happy customer..
Positive experience: Very good dental practice my family has been using for many years. The dentists and dental nurses are always friendly and welcoming. The Receptionists are also polite and professional. But today one of the Receptionists was a bit rude when I asked about needing to see a nurse orthodontist for my daughter's braces as a piece had snapped (this was after she'd been seen by the dentist for a normal check up) and she treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about, she said there were no nurses available and that she can wait until her next appointment (in 10 days). She did not apologise in any way or said goodbye as we left. The other Receptionist that was with her was nice and friendly and politely said goodbye.
Fantastic experience: We attended as a family for our appointments, we were seen by the same dentist and even though it was at the end of the day, the dentist was lovely. He was very professional, friendly and wasn’t pushing us to have any treatment we didn’t require. I couldn’t recommend this surgery enough. Brilliant!
Fantastic experience: A brilliant dentist surgery, they do get busy but that is probably just because of the service they offering is brilliant. Any negative reviews would just be a case of "not being able to please everyone" unfortunately. All the staff there seem very pleasant and the dentist who I see, the elder gentleman, is a very nice dude and puts you at ease if you are nervous ect. 10/10+ a great dentist surgery
Fantastic experience: Just want to take a moment to say a special thank you to Mr Waheed. A true professional and very nice man. Thank you to rest of the staff for also always being so helpful and always trying your best to resolve any issues. I really appreciate it team :)
Fantastic experience: Saw the new hygienist today. What a lovely, kind, gentle lady. I hate going to the hygienist normally due to sensitive teeth, but she put me at ease straight away. Thank you so much
Fantastic experience: After two appointment cancellations, finally got to see a dentist. Very nervous about attending a new dentist but I needn't have worried. Everything was very professional and reassuring as the dentist took the time to explain everything going on in my mouth. One filling later, I'm pleased to say I would be happy to return. In fact, I've already got my next check-up appointment booked for January.
Fantastic experience: Customer friendly and helpful front end. Highly skilled staff and brilliant doctors. It might be the biggest dental care that manages huge number of NHS patients.
Negative experience: Disappointment regarding the recent cancellations of my wife’s appointments at your dental surgery. Today, she made special arrangements to finish work early and was en route by cab to ensure she arrived on time, only to have her appointment canceled again. This is now the second consecutive cancellation, and we’re deeply upset with the level of service provided. Such cancellations are not only inconvenient but also disrespectful for time and commitments.
Positive experience: Although I registered in October last year (2023) and had 4 appointments cancelled by Moopen, I finally got seen today 17/07/2024 for the first time since registering however my experience was very pleasant. What I needed got done and those who work there (receptionist, dentist and the dentists assistant) were all lovely! Happy to go back, just hope they don’t cancel in the future.
Positive experience: I am a long time patient at this practice, principally being cared for by Mr Waheed. He greets me like an old friend, carries out a thorough examination and any necessary minimal treatment without fuss and sends me on my way with a beaming smile. Only criticism is about the cramped waiting area and the long steep, climb up the stairs!
Positive experience: This was the only NHS dentist I could find in Northants taking new patients - it took a while to get an appointment but the service couldn't have been better when there. Saw the dentist on time and she was lovely, really put my mind at rest and was super informative. Would definitely recommend
Positive experience: The dentist was really helpful and couldn’t be more apologetic for the lack of professionalism of the receptionists and clerical staff employed at the dental surgery. To say they were inept is a compliment. I paid in advance for a service that was denied me when I attended the surgery. The fact I now have to wait a further 3 months for the work to be done is unacceptable. I had also informed the receptionist that I needed emergency repairs done and this was also denied me.
Positive experience: Excellent service, really friendly and helpful dentist, along with his nurse plus those on Reception. Downside was that I had a 45 minute wait beyond my appointment time which wasn't addressed by anyone in anyway.
Fantastic experience: I was put at ease on my appointment today, excellent dentist recently out of retirement, I think it was Nick (but not sure) I felt very comfortable and very happy to go and see him again
Fantastic experience: The surgery is amazing. The receptionists are very kind and the dentist are very helpful, respectful and explain everything clearly . The care is amazing. I feel very lucky to be registered in this practice. Thank you a lot Today 27/06/24 my son had his braces. He was seen for the first time on the 24 of April 2024. He was at another orthodontist for nearly 3 years waiting for the NHS to agree for his treatment and then we received a letter of rejection without a specific reason. My son had GCSE exams and a nurse tried her best to find an appointment for him to extract his tooth . Thank you so much for the amazing, quick and professional service. Special thanks to Dr. Mehvish khan who was very professional when extracting my son's tooth. . Thank you Dr Huma for fitting my son's braces today. You were so kind and patient.
Fantastic experience: Called with a suspected infection and although they were already full for the day, the receptionist asked for me to be seen, and I was within 4 hours. Excellent service and I’m very appreciative that extra steps were taken! Thank you!
Positive experience: It would be nice if the receptionists said something like " I'll be with you in a moment" rather than keeping you standing there not sure who's going to see to you whilst they're all typing away in their computers. The dentist, assistant and hygienist and nice and friendly though
Fantastic experience: Good experience with the dentist, Zia. My wife and I had an NHS appointment, an annual review. He went over and above, providing an excellent treatment that was unknown to us and resulted in a good outcome for my wife. Really happy, would definately recommend his services.
Negative experience: Terrible service. None of procedure explained, rushed in and out for a tooth extraction. From entering building to leaving it, took 11 mins in total. I saw the exact same dentist that I saw 3 weeks prior, at that appointment I was re-booked for check-up with regular dentist to discuss options with regard to tooth extraction etc. I was surprised today, when it was same dentist again and she just yanked tooth out within 3 mins of sitting down. No friendliness or warmth felt from any of the team. Rude, rushed and disrespectful. Felt like back street dentistry from Victorian times. If that’s all that was gonna happen, why wasn’t it done 3 weeks before that? Why did I have to wait with broken tooth for that time? Especially considering how quick it was done. I was mis-charged on check-out and left dazed and confused to what had actually happened to me. No advice about How long to leave gauze in etc. Thank god for my wife and google. My teeth now left with a gaping hole but with no option or discussion to replace tooth. I will never go back here, looking for alternative place for follow up treatment. Whole experience left me very shaken and angry with how I was treated.
Fantastic experience: I'm 68yrs old and I joined this practice approximately 10yrs ago. For the first time ever I can walk in the Dentist without a headache, feeling sick, anxious, I don't even think about it. This is how much they make me feel at ease. The practice is very well run and organised and have recommended them to family and friends ⭐️
Negative experience: Shocking service- absolutely appalling!! Appointments continuously cancelled last minute. Son was booked for a filling- after 3 cancelled appointments and waiting almost 6 months he finally got to see a dentist who told us his appointment was just a checkup. The worst NHS dentist I have ever come across, due to the lack of NHS dentists unable to move to another practice.
Negative experience: I feel this practice has gone down hill since Covid. I was requested to book a yearly appointment, and days before they sent a message to cancel. Then I could not get through on the telephone line, and my answer phone messages were not returned. Finally attended last week, as the lady on reception said that the text id received reminding me about my appointment, should have cancelled it . The receptionist spoke to another dentist who fit me in. It was the quickest appointment ever, and I asked for my teeth to be cleaned and it was done very reluctantly, and in such a rush.
Fantastic experience: Went today for first initial NHS assessment appointment. Tremendous service was in and out before treatment time. Dentist was polite and helpful and very friendly explained the situation with my teeth after struggling to get appointment after Covid. Very happy I have landed at this practice.
Negative experience: Dentists are great, when you do eventually get in to see one. Customer care is appalling. Every appointment made since last year has been cancelled or rescheduled with no reason given. Even worse is the Orthodontist side who are constantly rescheduling my daughters appointment, then the Orthodontist has the cheek to tells us off for leaving it too long. Will be moving to another soon as.
Fantastic experience: I am very impressed with the service at this dentist. All staff friendly and professional. My appointment was on time. The hygienist was helpful and informative. Highly recommend this practice.
Negative experience: This dentistry is the worst I've ever seen. They rebooked me more than 7 times, the dentist told me they would be able to add somethingelse rather than dentures. The new dentist that they moved me to said the only thing they can do is put dentures. Going to the vet with my dog and he gets treated better than going to this dental practice. The service is very poor. The lies and the rebookings are too much and it's a disgusting service. I will never rebook with them again. I am unsure why they still run through NHS if they can't take care of their disabled patients. I stayed with an infection for a long time due to this. I only gave one star as it wouldn't let me post the review without the one star.
Negative experience: Made appointment in November 'Loose tooth', February 19th appointment - cancelled two days before due, appointment put back to May 24th! Attended appointment, told by the 'clinician' that I need to see a 'dentist'! Well, that's what I thought I was doing! Apparently not, 'I am not registered!'. Appointment with 'Dentist' for another look - July 31st - so 8 months before I even get an opinion - I'm hoping that I'll be able to wiggle the tooth out before then!!!
Negative experience: I have been to this dentist once after registering as every single appointment made after has been cancelled by them saying the dentist was too busy or off on training or then needs to go home early etc. They leave it until last min to cancel and then when try and rebook its 3-4 months time. Told them i was leaving and then they started arguing.
Negative experience: Absolutely crazy, contact them through only, they took my details said they will contact me in 4-6 weeks(December), after 4 months (16weeks, March) I call them to ask what's going on, they said if I need NHS practice then is gonna take 6 weeks if private then next week appointment so I choose the private. Then they're did 3 filing 2 tooth's next to each other and 1 separate. The filing fall after 2 months from the 2 tooth's, now I had an appointment what they cancelled without any reason, I try to call them no answer! This place nothing just scam. Also the "doctor" fill the 2 front teeth with one filling when I paid 2 separate and also I don't think is the right way as 2 teeth move different... This place is a joke! This is unacceptable!
