Fantastic experience: Pearl Dental have always come up trumps for me and this week I had the pleasure of transferring to a newly appointed (at Pearl Dental) dentist, by the name of Dr Emmaanouil Koloutsos, who really has the care and support of the customer as his number 1 priority. A breath of fresh air and I actually look forward to my next check up in 6 months!… Highly recommended!…

Fantastic experience: A very professional service. Following a check up, the dentist identified from X-rays that I needed 3 fillings. He showed me from the images why and I was happy to proceed based on his advice. I never look forward to visiting the dentist but was put at ease and the experience of having the fillings was far less traumatic than I had envisaged.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Pearl Dental under the care of Dr Kirk Thomson for many years now and always received great care and advice. However what has prompted me to write a review is to give thanks and recognition to how wonderful he was with my nervous 3 years old first visit to the dentist. He was patient and playful, checked teddies teeth first, and gave my son a huge spiderman sticker which meant the world to him. He has proudly told everyone he has seen this week about the dentists.

Fantastic experience: Had an upper wisdom tooth extracted yesterday by Stan Lee. He made a very good job of it. Everything was well explained and the extraction was painless. It's recovering well today. I would certainly recommend this dentist surgery.

Fantastic experience: Phoned at 8.30. For an appointment straight away. Stan was so respectful and talked me thru all options. No pushing or judging. Receptionist as always was super friendly. Cannot fault them. They were short staffed but still had time to make my visit perfect.

Fantastic experience: I recently transferred to Dr Stan Lee. He is an excellent dentist. I recently had an impression taken and was very worried I would gag (I gag easily). Stan was very patient with me and talked me through it. I am glad he is now my dentist.

Negative experience: I was referred to Stan Lee from my regular dentist. I needed three extractions, two of these surgical. I am an anxious dental patient but generally need reassurance and a good anaesthetic dose to receive treatment. As this was quite a major procedure I had prepared with hypnotherapy earlier in the week. On arrival the reception staff were fine. I directed to the dentists room. The dentist asked me why I was there when my notes said I was an anxious patient, why wasn’t I having sedation? He was very intimidating, asking me again and again what medication I am on. When I said nothing he didn’t believe me. What can you do? He then went on with words to the effect that the extractions would involve lots of pushing, pulling and loud cracking, did I really think I could cope with that. By this point I was upset and felt that he was not confident in the procedure. I had taken time off work, a complete shambles. He could have discussed this on the phone and just said he didn’t want to do the procedure. I found another dentist who expertly removed 4 teeth, three were surgical. Not a horror story. No pain, no infection, calm and reassuring. It only took an hour.

Fantastic experience: Was very professional and very helpful when arriving at the clinic receptionists was lovely and Mr Lee and his assistant was very kind and explained everything to me. Above all I didn't feel no pain when the procedure was being done excellent work.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting this practice for some years now, as I am disabled my dentist sees me in a downstairs surgery. Having had several changes of the practitioner, each new one makes me feel at ease as I have had a bad experience in the past which has left me very anxious. The current dentist is by far, the best.

Fantastic experience: I saw Stan Lee following a referral from my dentist. First impressions when arriving at the door of Pearl Dentist Studils wasn’t positive. Myself and a number of patients with 13:30 appointments found ourselves standing outside at a locked door waiting in the cold , whilst staff were having lunch. Would have been more welcoming if patients were allowed to sit in the waiting room in the warm. Nevertheless the service provided by Stan Lee and the assisting staff was very efficient and professional. He took time to explain in detail which gave me confidence throughout my appointment. i was extremely pleased with my appointment, I can’t fault the service provided and would recommend him to anyone requiring an excellent dentist.

Negative experience: Made to feel rushed. Spoken to in a very abrupt manner although speaks to his staff in the same way . Got to the point where my whole family got anxious going . Not a good experience at all.

Negative experience: Made to feel absolutely awful! Spoken to in an abrupt way and asked a question only to be cut off short and raised voice by the Dentist . I actually feel so upset after my appointment and have anxiety problems thinking about my next appointment. On numerous occasions the poor girls working there are spoken to like this as well !! Won’t be going back.

Positive experience: Dentistry is excellent, but time keeping is poor. Once again, I was seen at least half an hour after my appointment. I was due to pick up my wife from Gatwick, and ended up keeping her waiting!!!!!

Have always had a good standard of care, but have usually booked months if not a year ahead for a check up, but that is down to living in a dental desert with Pearl being a little oasis.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Pearl Dentist for some years now. For probably the last 18 months-2yrs I have seen a lady dentist at Pearl Dentists, Lucy. Lucy in my opinion is the best dentist I have ever seen. At 54yrs old I have seen a few. Lucy is Very professional yet friendly and approachable. Her work is excellent. My five star rating is specifically for Lucy and her team. I have had a good few injections which Lucy has done for several dental problems and I have NEVER even felt the prick of the needle. Lucy and her team always make you feel welcome, it's a relaxing, clean, professionally run dental service. I would highly recommend Lucy to any who ask without a second thought. I wrote this post some 5yrs ago. I have been with a few dentists at Pearl and each and every one is first class.

Positive experience: I was fitted in for a short notice appointment as had broken part of my tooth off. I arrived on a Friday afternoon, checked in and went to the waiting room, then was called up a couple of minutes afterwards. Kirk the dentist checked my pre-appointment medical form and asked appropriate questions. Then he assessed the tooth, advised on doing a filling and upon agreement he went ahead and completed the work to a good standard. All in all I was out and done in 20 minutes and I've been chomping away happily since. The only slight improvement could have been for the things Kirk needed to do the filling to be more to hand for him, as he didn't have an assistant at this time, and was reaching around me (reclined on the dentist chair) a bit to get them.

Fantastic experience: I am an extremely nervous patient, from the moment I arrived Lucy and Mandy, put me at ease, they were amazing as i was in tears. ( anyone of my age will understand where my phobia began). The whole process was painless, I 100% trust Lucy, she is confident, explains every procedure, and a true professional. Fantastic experience: I had an agonising painful gum and the very helpful receptionist got me an appointment the next morning. I was finding it very difficult to eat, drink or talk and Kirk was smashing said it had to run its course but prescribed a spray that really helped with the pain and suggested other things to help. I could not have had a better more caring treatment and I am very grateful. A great service all round.

Negative experience: Came for a checkup. Didn't wait too long. I reported having a very sensitive tooth for the second time and still Kirk said there was nothing he could do. I now now getting pain daily and find it difficult to eat or drink without the anxiety of getting a shooting pain through my tooth. Surely that's the job of a dentist. I don't know how to proceed at this point to get this resolved.

Fantastic experience: Pearl Dental Studio Dr. Sam Lee, I attended your clinic on 20/9/24 for an extraction. From the time I entered your studio I have nothing but praise to offer you. Your staff were welcoming and quite concerned about my comfort. I was treated politely and the treatment from my point of view (extraction) was the best that I have experienced. I arrived on time, was seen on time and treated immediately with a minimum of distress/pain. I have to complement you on your surgery, it was clean well decorated and comforting and gave the patient (me) a feeling of ease regarding the treatment. Fantastic experience: Mr Lee carried out an extraction of one of my molars, last week. He was very clear in explaining what he was going to do, making sure I understood fully , the whole procedure. Mr Lee readily administered more pain relieve when I indicated I needed it. The whole procedure only took 30 minutes. If correct aftercare instructions are followed, healing is quick!

Fantastic experience: My appointment with Laura the hygienist, had to be moved. I told the clinic that I would take a cancellation. They kept me informed regularly. Very good service. Very friendly staff and Laura is fantastic in what she does! I'm very pleased with the whole experience and very happy with the clinic. Jasper

Positive experience: My appointment was at 9.15am on Monday morning. I had to wait 25 minutes before I saw the dentist. During this time I was able to hear how efficient the receptionist was, very professional and helpful both dealing with the phones and patients. However, a gentleman came in and said that he could not get through via the phone and was told that often she is busy with clients and can't attend to the phone calls. When she was asked what about the answerphone, she replied that it's only switched on at lunch times and out of hours. This is one thing that surely could be improved, why not have it on kicking in automatically after a minute or so? My dentist Lucie is very good and will be sorely missed when she leaves. I have left three stars as I was kept waiting some time despite an early appointment.

Fantastic experience: Sadly needed to have another tooth extraction but what a different experience from the last time at Pearl Dental. Kirk Thomson was caring and empathetic throughout and quickly efficient. He knew from my medical history that I would bleed more than a normal person and kept compression on the wound until he was satisfied that the bleeding had stopped and even provided extra gauze in case it restarted. He was careful to ensure I understood what I needed to do over the next few days.

Fantastic experience: Both my appointments were more or less on time. The treatment rooms and, in fact the whole premises, appeared spotlessly clean. I was treated with courtesy by the reception tam and very professionally by both Helen and Kirk. I was, however, a little surprised at the cost (>£80) of my treatment, considering I am an NHS patient!
