Fantastic experience: Unfortunately i have just had to have a 2nd tooth pulled but mohammed was just as good this time as the team was with my first. Thank you for making a stressful situation easy. Had my first tooth pulled in years here and both the dentist Mohammed Asif and his assistant were amazing, I'm not very good with needles but that's not a problem for these guys. Mohammed talks you through it as he goes so you know what to expect. AMAZING!!! I had some type of infection on the sides of my mouth for about 1 year before I came here and I had several prescriptions from my Dr and blood tests but they could not sort it. I had 1 prescription from Mohammed and the infection is cured. Thanks very much guys for a very painless visit with my tooth and thanks for fixing my infection.

Fantastic experience: Sania is just a fantastic dentist and an even better person. I get a little anxious when going to the dentist and she makes me feel so at ease and just cracks on and gets the job done. She's also helped me feel more confident about my teeth and I wont have anyone else look after my teeth from now on.

Positive experience: Visited yesterday for my annual check up. Arrived in good time for my appointment at 10.45am but not called in until just before 11.15am. Never had to wait that long before

Negative experience: great building...not very satisfied, Dr's attitude like working trainy jr...paid £600 for check up and 3 filling but all filling falls off in 2 weeks seems to use temporary material..not recommended for anyone..if still want to try goodluck.

Negative experience: I contacted the surgery to register. I was put on waiting list and was told it may take 2 years. Called after two years just to be told that they wont re-register me as I has missed an appointment over 10 years ago. They could have easily told me that at the point of requesting to register. Completely unprofessional and wasted 2 years of my time where I could have registered elsewhere during that time. No apology! nothing!

Negative experience: Boss approached me as I waited in the car park for my wife and told me I was in his spot. Not sure what made it his spot but he was clear about this being HIS dental practice. Good for him. Maybe don't approach your customers rudely and put up a sign instead. EDIT: To the owner, it was Wood Dental in Mirfield, the Tesla he was driving is visible on Google Earth so presumably you know who I'm referring to, take it up with him.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful to me as a nervous patient. Didn’t rush me at all. Jodie on reception was fantastic and talked with me on the phone and afterwards to make sure I was okay. Fantastic practice.

Fantastic experience: Harjeevan Sandhu is a great dentist. Totally put me at ease and explained in detail the options and then the process and procedure. I have just had some recent work completed on a broken tooth / filling. No pain or worry just calm professional great service. We have used this surgery for 6 years and have had a couple of dentists looking after us within the practice, but the quality of service is always first class. George Chapman

Fantastic experience: I went to the dentist as part of my molar had fallen out. Harjeevan Sandhu, my dentist, explained everything that was going to happen, he had a very calming persona and he was so very gentle when giving my injection that I didn’t actually feel it! Afterwards he checked that everything was ok and that I understood the options moving forward. I highly recommend him!

Negative experience: In the past I was very happy, sadly in recent times it has deteriorated. A few months ago I tried to make an appointment only to be told I was no longer registered with them as I had not been for a while. My previous appointments had been cancelled by them during lockdown and one since then. They were adamant I had cancelled even though I had proof it was them. Then today I find out they have done the same dirty trick to my daughter and her young family.

Fantastic experience: I visited the hygenist Hayley today. Her and Amy were amazing. They both put me at ease and the banter between them made me forget about the fact that I hate visiting the dentist. I normally dread booking the next appointment but I was happy to book my next appointment. They are great assets to the Wood dental team.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Khan for an emergency appointment. Wisdom tooth severely decayed and infected and pulp on display. Lots of excruciating pain. She was the only dentist active that day and was kind enough based on my pain levels to see me in between patients. She was very sweet and informative, she was empathetic and tried her absolute best to help me with my issue. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to extract my tooth because my roots are so long and bent, she referred me to hospital immediately and called me when referral was done. Very happy with the service and I plan on using the dental practice she works at for further treatment. Thank you very much Dr. khan. Have a great weekend

Fantastic experience: I have recently visited Sania Khan at Woods dental practice. She was new to me but she made a nervous patient feel comfortable and reassured by her welcome. Throughout my treatment she explained everything and throughout checked that I was happy with the treatment that she was giving me. She is a dentist that I will be very happy to continue visiting in the future.

Negative experience: I wish I could put 0 I have been trying to sort out my grandad appointment with the reception lady and she thinks it's okay to say to me dose your grandad suffer from memory loss ?? A named dentist with no interpretor to help elders or other language speakers it's shameful.the fact there is language barrier issues but they blame the client instead of understanding there or working with the clients family is disgraceful.would not recommend this dentist as they have all the answers and know eveything disgraceful.

Negative experience: I wish i could put zero. I booked an appointment as i have been feeling severe pain in one of my teeth. Had a consultation appointment first. I was told i have a few filling to do. Wanted to sort out the most severe. Was told that it was a little deep and infected. Had 6 injections and still felt the pain. I dont think i was given anything for the infection. Was told it was because i had a sensitive tooth. Felt pain for a month after. Booked NHS emergency appointment at a different surgery. Was told tooh was still badly infected inside and need a root canal. After emergency treatment, no pain at all. Very disappointed

Negative experience: 1st appointment here over the moon to get a dentist after a very long wait. The receptionist was welcoming, then sent me upstairs but once she noticed I was using a stick she offered for the dentist to come downstairs to see me to save me going up, I still went up as they were handrails on both sides(I didn't want to be any both), the receptionist checked with me a few times to make sure I was alright. When I was finished the dental nurse put the bed at a more suitable height for me. The dentist herself was a bit rough and at one point she really hurt me, then said to me oh if you don't want me to do that I won't ......well no not when it hurt so much I was holding my mouth, this is why I have given 4 stars and not 5. I've changed the score as I filled out the form online but then had to also fill out the form inside the dentists as the form online didn't work, what a waste of time

Fantastic experience: My appointment was with Mr Sandhu, who made me feel very at ease, and after my checkup took the time to explain thoroughly some cosmetic work i am considering having done in the future. A very good experience.

All staff are a credit to the surgery and made the numerous visits a positive experience. If you are thinking of dental implants this is the place to go. Highly recommended

Negative experience: I felt pressured to book hygienist, said could not afford to pay £65 every 3 to 6 months, I used to get a scale and polish with my appointment, which now lasts all of 5 mins, I feel like you are trying to book as many people in without having to do much then pressurising them to see the hygienist, not happy at all, certainly nit value for money

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient and struggle with dental appointments. Today i had an appointment with hygienist hayley. She was absolutely amazing. She saw from my face as soon as i walked in how anxious i was. She put me at ease immediately, didnt make me feel i was been silly. She is the only person i have seen there for a long time who actually asked about my phobia and what had caused it. She was very patient and caring throughout the whole procedure and made me as comfortable as possible. What a credit she is to your practice! I couldve hugged her afterwards! Please keep her, as i find it extremely difficult having to see new people everytime i come and i know if i had another apointment with her, i wouldnt be as reluctant to come.

Negative experience: Appointment was 30 minutes late. Lasted 4 minutes. Dentist is detached and borderline rude. Not remotely interested in having any conversation about your teeth or dental health at all. Really unpleasant experience, and I’ve never had a problem going to the dentist. So clearly focused on targeting private clients. Scale and polish is nothing close to what it used to be. Every question was answered with a referral to a paid for service. Woods has gone downhill so dramatically over the years. If there wasn’t a 3 year waiting list for other NHS dentists I absolutely wouldn’t choose to go here. Not worth the wait for an NHS space

Negative experience: Very bad experience with this practice who don't want to take responsibility when they have messed up and make you out to be a liar . After causing an issue with my teeth i (by the way i was a private paying patient ) contacted them and informed them that there was an issue which had been caused there by the dentist. The receptionist informed me that if I could get prices from another practice they would compensate me . After calling around i managed to get prices only to be called by the practice manager and being told this will not be happening they will not be doing anything of the sort and sided with the dentist accused me of lying, how ever stated that they could compensate me £20 towards my next treatment , but to rectify the issue would cost me £220 ?

Positive experience: Hayley was very pleasant and reassuring. She was very thorough so it wasn't too bad and experience. My main problem is needing to swallow frequently and almost retching when the instruments touch the back of my mouth or tongue.

Positive experience: The Dentists Practioners are absolutely brilliant, as are their assistants. Totally professional and very kind. I am an extremely nervous patient and they have always been very kind and understanding. However, I cannot say the same for a member on reception, who was unkind and rude.

Fantastic experience: After a disappointing visit for my 6 month check up, I received a call from the practice manager, Chloe. Chloe was very understanding of my concerns and keen to find a satisfactory resolution. She has restored my confidence in using Wood Dental in the future.

Positive experience: The dentist is clean but I'm not happy at the fact they expect you to pay half of your next appointment for treatment up front. I think it's unacceptable to demand such high amounts ahead of your appointments.

Fantastic experience: Myself and two children recently went for our annual check up. My children were both a little bit apprehensive but the dentist and his dental nurse made them both feel at ease and they both got a sticker afterwards. My son did not want to sit in the chair so the dentist let him sit in a normal chair and he was happy enough to have his teeth checked after bribery with a sticker. Our appointment was on time and over within 10-15 minutes. Excellent service and no waiting around. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I've been with Woods Dental in Mirfield for possibly at least 35 years and they are the best dentist I have ever been with which is why I'm still with them. All the members of staff are exceptionally brilliant and courteous to everyone equally. Whatever they have had to do on my teeth they have done perfectly and they all are truly professionals in how they work, act and have a really good quality conversation with you because they all treat you like you are a person and not a number in the books. If your looking for a dentist then these in my personal opinion are the best choice anywhere.

Negative experience: I have just been told that my husbands bottom denture is out of warranty. I have just checked my iPad diary and he got them in July 2023 so they are still under the 12 month warranty. Not very happy about this. Phone call today there is no guarantee with dentures so £300 down the drain.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a tooth pulled today which she wasn’t expecting. The dentist was kind and caring and explained why the tooth needed to come out. It made the process so much better for my daughter and it hasn’t left her traumatised. Thank you

Positive experience: Took my son treatment was good. The room could of being cleaner. The toilet is ment to disabled and wasn't could of done with the side bar on by the toilet and not on the floor by the door. And staff could be more friendly.

Fantastic experience: We had a family trip to the dentist this afternoon. Sania was so knowledgable and clearly a perfectionist as I left with considerably better coloured teeth after an airflo session. She made my three year old feel totally at ease. So glad we choose to move to this practise

Fantastic experience: I went in for a replacement filling. I have facial nerve pain, so was very concerned that the pain would be unbearable. The dentist and nurse with her were great at listening to my worries, helped make the procedure was over quickly and with as little pain as possible. I would recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist, my autistic child is registered here and his dentist is absolutely amazing with him and makes him feel so comfortable. He used to hate going to the dentist but now doesn't mind it, so I think we've found the perfect dentist for him. The place is very clean and nicely decorated also. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Keep up the great job!

Fantastic experience: There was a short delay of about 10 minutes after our scheduled time, before being seen by the dentist/hygienist. The check up went surprisingly well, so pleased that no additional work was required.

Positive experience: NO TV on the Landing !! Practice needs to lash out and get a TV Licence. Would have liked to have had my filling done on this visit; got to wait until 5 Feb!! serious food trapping meanwhile, not ideal. Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom teeth removed by Mohammed Asif and he was lovely including the dental nurse. Both so kind and understanding explained the whole process and spoke to me through made the whole experience a lot less daunting and nerve racking as hate dentist! Thank you

Fantastic experience: Had a tooth taken out today. I’m not the best patient as previous extractions haven’t gone so well. Asif was brilliant. It was out in a flash, hardly felt a thing! Conversation around Traitors helped. All staff friendly & helpful.

Negative experience: I visited this morning to the dentist to find my appointment first to be nearly 10 minutes late even though its the first appointment and then for my dentist to numb my mouth then have a personal emergency which from what I heard was because of heating in his house. I dont think this is an acceptable reason to leave mid treatment and even the dental nurse looked shocked at it. The dental nurse was so kind and friendly and made sure I was okay whilst waiting a long hour which he originally said he would only be 30 minutes. Surely something to do with heating in your house is not a big emergency to leave a patient mid way through treatment with very little explanation.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient from the minute I walked into reception. This is a very well organised and effective dental surgery. All friendly, attentive and good at what they do. Other organisations could learn lots by adopting this dentist team ethos. Well done to all the staff

Fantastic experience: First stage of providing me with a lower denture. Only a short wait beyond my appointment time. A number of options clearly explained and treatment plan agreed quickly. Staff all very professional. Second review. Two visits in two weeks with tooth ache. Seen on the same day on both occasions and treatment provided.

Positive experience: Professional, attentive dentist today, however I feel the lack of continuity of care doesn’t reflect well on the practice, and adds to the anxiety of a nervous service user. I was not informed prior to my appointment that my most recent and regular dentist had left the practice.

Fantastic experience: I have just had a wonderful experience at this practice with Dentist Sania. I am an extremely nervous patient that needed a filling( anything involving needles and drilling and Im a complete mess ) but Sania instantly put me at ease, talked me through the whole process and made the entire experience so much more comfortable and relaxed.
