Fantastic experience: I have been to Dentalessence twice this week - once for my 2 year old daughter’s dentist appointment and once for myself. Both experiences were brilliant. The receptionists are always so friendly and helpful. My daughter was seen by Yasmin Aziz. The dentist and her team were kind and friendly to my nervous daughter and made one of her first experiences with the dentist a really positive one and gave lots of useful information on how to look after her teeth. The following day I was seen by Dr Zayd Mehdi. He is an exceptional dentist with fantastic interpersonal skills. I have a fear around dentist visits and suffer from anxiety surrounding it, all my fears were put immediately at ease by him and within a few minutes I felt completely relaxed. He took the time to listen and explain things to me with great detail and care, and the dental exam was a smooth process in which I felt was conducted with consideration and care. My experience was so much better than I expected, and I had no hesitation booking my follow up appointments with little fear. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using Dental Essence for a couple of years now and didn’t make a review initially as I wanted to make sure what they were like. It’s easy to make a good impression initially but it’s harder to consistently do a good job. However I think they have surpassed my expectations honestly. The staff are all lovely and the dentists are great. I had to see a different dentist recently for an emergency and they were as good as my normal dentist Sachin. I can’t give much info on prices but I think they are reasonable. Certainly they don’t feel too expensive compared to other dentists I’ve had in the past. I think for the care you get the prices are good. I’m very happy with them

Fantastic experience: A hygienist visit with Katie. After a brief discussion about my cleaning routine Katie explained areas where I could improve before carrying out my treatment, she was gentle but very thorough and checked I was ok throughout. I was extremely happy with the result and highly recommended her services.

Fantastic experience: I am very nervous of dental appointments, particularly hygienist sessions. Katie was incredibly gentle and reassuring and only used hand tools to carry out the clean rather than noisy brain-shaking and terrifying tools! My experience this time was 100% better. Thank you Katie

He was very polite and made me comfortable before examining me. The explained clearly the options I have. Dental Essence continues to earn my trust and loyalty, and I genuinely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable dental care.

Fantastic experience: The team (under Bobby Jandhu) started my treatment for an implant yesterday and were incredibly caring and gentle. They checked that I was OK at every stage. I felt no pain whatsoever and have been supplied with medicines to help with swelling, pain (if any) and the healing of the gum. The task, in my case, was not as straight-forward as it might have been but nevertheless, it was carried out with great skill and expertise. Bobby even rang in the late afternoon to make sure I was alright once the numbness had worn off. I am fine! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dental essence is an outstanding dental clinic. I received a warm welcome on arrival by the reception team and was impressed with the beautiful interior design throughout the practice. I was seen by Robert Sword, who was incredibly professional, attentive and informative throughout my appointment. I spoke with a lovely dental nurse called Anita whilst waiting, who reassured me, giving me peace of mind. I would highly recommend dental essence. Ashleigh ☺️

Fantastic experience: I have had repeatedly excellent service at Dental Essence. I briefly lived in Burgess Hill and registered with them and have since used their services a couple of times, travelling for a second opinion. Most recently I saw Zayd, he has a really pleasant and relaxed approach while at the same time sharing his wealth of knowledge coupled with advice on various options. The whole experience was excellent, I was treated with respect and treated as an adult and a stakeholder in his recommendations, this has made me realise I need to get a new dentist back home! Travelling for my regular check ups is sadly not an option otherwise I would do it in a heartbeat for such great service...although I am considering traveling to get the work done since the explanations were so clear and he used both photographs and xrays to explain to me exactly what is going on in my mouth! Dentalessence is exactly what a modern dental practice should be!

Fantastic experience: Rekha and her ‘assistant’ (whose name I can’t remember) were wonderful. Made my son (6) feel so comfortable, explained what was going to happen and were so calm.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Saara Majid – she is fantastic! As someone who is a very nervous dental patient, I truly appreciate how comfortable and at ease she has made me feel. I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction with her, and she made the whole process so easy, painless, and incredibly quick! Her genuine care is priceless. I also want to mention Ollie at reception. What a pleasure it is to deal with him! He's always so welcoming, smiley, and efficient. Dentalessence is a fantastic dental practice overall, and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: My 5year old went for tooth extraction. The dentists were kind and made sure we had no fear. It was fast with less pain that my daughter was able to go to school after the procedure.

I had an extraction done today by Sara-Jane Salmon, it was over in minutes and not a bit of pain of even discomfort. The nurse Brooke was also great. Top hygiene there too. Fantastic experience: Rashmi was amazing with my son who attended for a tooth extraction this week. He was extremely anxious about it and she put him at ease, explaining what she was going to. With the help of some local anaesthetic spray and gel, the tooth was out before he realised it. The staff at Dental Essence Burgess Hill are always so kind, caring and welcoming. My children always feel very comfortable going there.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best dental practice in Sussex having been going too the same practice now for many years. My dentist nurse is a very professional and competent person in her duties as are all of the staff. The practise is very clean, waiting times are very good I would highly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I am not a lover of dentists and never have been for the past 70 or so years. After approximately 150 dental visits I have actually found a dentist who is genuinely friendly, has all the time in the world for you and is honest. Dr Zayd ticks all my boxes. Hygienist Jack is also an extremely pleasant and empathetic part of the team who also gives me plenty of time. To round it all off the reception team are also extremely welcoming and friendly, especially Joanna and Ollie who I usually meet. Not sure how one firm can attract so many professional, effective and downright friendly staff but - Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Dentalessence during a recent visit with my son. The registration, appointment process was pretty smooth. My son needed to have a painful baby tooth removed, and the doctor ensured he felt comfortable and cared for during the entire process. The procedure was quick and smooth, and my son was at kept at ease, explaining everything in a way he could understand. Thanks for easy, quick and comfortable treatment.

Positive experience: I don’t think it’s morally okay to push patients on the NHS plan for private treatments during their treatments giving an impression that the nhs treatment would be less effective

Positive experience: Could be better with Autistic profile children. More understanding and knowledge of how to talk to the child would be good. Other than that, can't fault.

Fantastic experience: After a terrible experience at a previous dentist Dental Essence was wonderful with my son. Really patient, kind and he came away saying they were lovely. So glad we moved him to you guys.

Negative experience: Had a new patient consultation here and the dentist told me based on the X-Rays I needed four fillings to achieve dental health. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and examination who told me I didn’t need any fillings, Left confused I went to a third dentist for another examination who also told me I didn’t need any fillings, 2 separately independent dentists told me something different to what the dentist at Dental Essence told me, had I listened to the Dental Essence team I’d have spent over £1,000 on fillings that two separate dentists told me I didn’t need, I would not trust this practise.

Fantastic experience: Always 5 star. Everything explained and necessary dental work discussed. The work needed carried out with great skill and all in the Practice so very pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Great value for money. My hygienist was amazing too. Normally very painful but not this time. Very good.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Katie the Hygienist.such a lovely lady. She welcomed me in and put me at ease straight away. She explained to me everything that she would do during the appointment and also asked me if I had any concerns with my teeth. I would highly recommend this dentist and Katie the hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Not my usual experience with Dental essence. They have always been great. The Hygienist was very sweet but after going in 15 minutes late. Some of the equipment wasn’t working properly. We were in the tiniest room and for some reason there was another colleague in there who kept calling the hygienist away to log him onto the computer. Didn’t feel as though I had really had the service I had paid for. Was back out after just 20 mins or so. Would have complained but after going in late was running behind for another appointment.

Fantastic experience: The best Dental practise I have ever used. The staff are always very friendly and professional. My experience with my dentist Rob and previous procedures with Bobby are second to none. Would highly recommend Dentalessence to everyone.

The team on the front desk are always happy, polite, exceedingly helpful and proactive. My dentist Sara and her lovely assistant Julie/Julia (sorry my memory is awful) we're fantastic. I'm a nervous patient and they couldn't have done more to make me feel at ease. Thank you ever so much team, I really appreciate you all.

Positive experience: NHS adult patient with two children (also registered as NHS). They have moved to focus more and more on private practice - not just private dentistry but now “facial aesthetics”. Dentists do not follow up on matters they raise, or try and charge NHS patients private fees because they don’t have the right equipment to carry out a proper assessment. Most staff are generally pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Recently had a root canal and internal whitening done here Dr Rahman and the other staff were extremely kind and professional thought the whole process.

Fantastic experience: A warm friendly greeying from the receptionists guiding me to the appropriate place for the hygienist surgerh. My first hygienist appointment at my nee dental practice was witb Katie. It was a pleasant experience with a friendly,kind, gentle expert who immediately put me at ease and gave me confidence. I would definitely recommend her and Dental Essrnce.

Fantastic experience: Extremely efficient with friendly staff. The treatment provided was excellent and I have now moved to Dentalessence from my previous dental practice. Updated review 14/12/23 after follow-up treatment to fix my broken tooth. Unfortunately my tooth wasn’t repairable without root filling and a crown. The required treatment was carefully explained both verbally and in a written treatment plan. On the day, the root procedure and preparing the tooth for the crown took a good while and Dr Maddy Depa kept me informed throughout the entire pain free process. Great chair side manner and dental skills! The crown has now been fitted and the tooth looks and feels good as new. Just visited with the dental hygienist for my 6 monthly dental hygiene check with Katie and thankfully nothing untoward found. Generally everything was good with evidence of effective brushing but of course there is always room for some improvement. Katie advised more regular / systematic use of my Teepee interdental brushes in 1 or 2 areas but otherwise a good report! The treatment was painless and didn’t take too long. Culminated in a gentle polish. Once again great service from Dentalessence from the reception staff to Katie’s expertise and very happy with this practice. Updated 15/01/24 Unfortunately I had a tooth issue that required an unscheduled visit. Dentalessence were able to book me in at short notice and I was seen by Dr. Robert Sword. I received excellent treatment. This really is a first class dental establishment.

Fantastic experience: I had excellent service from them. I had to make an urgent booking due to a cracked tooth, but they were very empathetic, kind and professional. I was seen the same day and I wasn't kept waiting. Sara my dentist, was fantastic. She was so caring, kind and very reassuring. She explained all my options so well and with booking my actual treatment, there was totally no pressure to book anything immediately. Even though, I wanted to. I had first class service from Oliver on reception and Sara, my brilliant dentist.

Negative experience: My father is 84 and had last minute vertigo episodes which is like sitting in a washing machine. Unfortunately it coincided with two appointments which had to be cancelled at short notice. The practice shows no compassion saying its just policy and will be taken off NHS. It's just MONEY making as he can still be seen privately, so the "Policy" is for money purposes and nothing else

Fantastic experience: Wonderful introduction to Dentalessence. From Ollie, to Bridget to Maddy, I felt very at ease after many years having not gone to the dentist. Looking forward to upcoming appointments and would definitely recommend to friends & family - 5 star service!

Fantastic experience: Anyone who is scared of the dentist as l once was should go to this place. All the personal working there are fantastic and my dentist is the best. Puts you at ease and makes the experience so much more bearable. I now have regular check ups and hygienist visits. With a dental plan if you can't get NHS, it's affordable over the year. Look after your teeth and your dentist will look after you.

Fantastic experience: I recently made contact with Dental Essence due to very bad pain and was greeted on the phone by a lovely young lady called Hannah, wow she was so very kind and helped me so much as did Vanessa when i called back . I arrived at the practice and wow what an amazing incredible place i was lost for words. The service and care i received has made me feel so very relaxed and i know longer feel anxious about visiting a dentist . Thank you everyone for making my visit so relaxed im truly grateful. .

Fantastic experience: It was my 3 year old daughter's 2nd time visiting the dentist. The first wasn't a great success so I prepared her that we were going. Lots of encouragement and promise of a treat after and it couldn't have gone better. Both the dentist (really sorry that I can't name her!) and dental nurse were so friendly and encouraging towards my little one. So patient and made her experience a really positive one. Thoroughly recommended dental essence :)

Fantastic experience: Dr Sachin has always made my treatment pain free, he’s an extremely competent specialist in his area of expertise. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my teeth. Great team, great service and so professional. I would definitely recommend the practice.

Fantastic experience: Rob Sword at Dentalessence is great, he is professional, kind, gentle with his procedure and informs before each one so you know what to expect and the front of house reception staff are really friendly and helpful. Always have an underlying anxiety before visits but really there is no need.

Fantastic experience: After spending all night Tuesday and Wednesday morning In excruciating pain with a toothache, I came across this dental practice when looking for an emergency appointment. As a nervous patient I was currently on the list for sedation but not until January. I contacted dental essence to see if they could facilitate sedation and soon, an appointment was booked for Thursday to go and see them and discuss sedation. I arrived to the clinic, within a few minutes I was called in and seen to by Bobby and his nurse. They both made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that I decided to have the tooth pulled awake in the chair, they were so kind and took there time. I didn't feel rushed atall, evwrything that was being done was explained and was reassured constantly. within 15 minutes the tooth was out and now the pain has gone all the staff seem really friendly, however Joanne on reception and Bobby were just so nice and accomodating. If I lived closer I would 100% sign up as one of there patients. If your a nervous patient this is the clinic for you!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Robert Sword is my dentist for many years, gentle, kind and very attentive - as a very nervous patient, I really appreciate him reassuring me every time i'm in his chair. My latest experience was of an extraction of a broken tooth and I was worried more that usual I would say, and Rob just excelled himself and made the whole procedure so smooth and in my opinion even less traumatic than any other (simple) extraction before. It is certainly not particularly pleasant being in the dentist's chair, but being in Rob's good hands makes the experience so much more bearable! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have had a big journey with my teeth, after suffering from an eating disorder when I was younger both Bobby and Saara have worked hard to give me back my amazing smile. Fantastic experience: Rob Sword is the best dentist I have ever had. He treats me like a favourite granny, gently and with great empathy. I am so pleased to have found him. After decades of feeling dread of the dentist chair, I know I am in good hands at Dental Essence.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant dentist practice. Used to hate the dentist and had some rough experiences but luckily I'm now being looked after by Zayd and Brooke. They're a great team - high level of care and comfort as well as being very clear and transparent in all they do. True pride in their work and that goes a long way these days!

My dentist is a lovely caring man who takes an interest in what you say understands your worries and does his utmost to allay your fears.The dental nurses are always very attentive one could not ask for more.

I had such a poor experience with my local dental practice but EVERYONE I have encountered at Dental Essence, reception staff to implant specialists have been amazing. In particular I would like to thank Bobby who is so good at his job, perfect balance of professional and personable. Madhuri who I saw initially was fantastic too. Thank you to the whole team. Positive experience: I have a fear of dentists and Dentalessence has always made me feel really calm and comfortable. I first came to the practice as an emergency appointment and then had to go on to have further treatment. Unfortunately, I've needed two temporary fillings on the tooth and they have both fallen out after only a few hours, meaning I had to return to have them changed. However, the team, especially the reception staff, are always friendly and keen to help and have managed to get me back in super quickly. My dentist was Rob and he's so kind and reassuring and makes sure I understand what's going on and going to happen step-by-step the whole time.

Fantastic experience: Took my 3 children in to see the dentist. The reception team were lovely, really friendly. We didn’t have to wait long to see the dentist’s. When we got call in, the dentist was amazing with the children she was really engaging with them in a natural way that made them feel relaxed. It was my 2 year old first time and she did so good because of the calm setting. Thank you Dental essence.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of this practice for almost a year now, so long enough to testify that they provide a great service. I've had very good experiences with everyone: dentists, hygienists, staff. They are all very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The dentists and hygienists are very knowledgeable and professional, but also approachable and are great at making you feel at ease. The practice is ahead in terms of the technologies and methodologies they use vs other practices I've been to. Their prices are very reasonable. I recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist! We've been going to dental essence now for a good few years. From the minute you walk in, your welcomed in by smiley, friendly welcoming receptionists. Ive had Bobby all my visits and he's been absolutely brilliant with me and my son. My last appointment I had Aniqah and she was absolutely incredible with my son (3 years old almost 4) I was nervous as he's old enough now and would need to have a proper look at, which he did because she was so amazing with him. She was incredible with my check up and very knowledgeable and made me feel good about my teeth and how I look after them. Will never go anywhere else. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed our experience here! The receptionist I spoke with had a friendly and personable phone manner and was able to book my baby son in for a next-day appointment. On arrival, I was offered assistance up the stairs with my carrier- again, great customer service from the front of house team. The appointment was exactly on time and we were seen by such a lovely, smiley dentist who took time to advise us. The dental assistant was very professional and warm too.

Fantastic experience: I had amazing service from Dental Essence - a cheeky chewy mint dislodged my bridge at 11.30am - I got a 3.30pm cancellation appointment and had the problem fixed by 4pm - super impressed with this service. Thanks for rescuing me - I will try to avoid chewy mints in the future!!!!!! All 3 dentists I have seen at this practice have been great.
