Fantastic experience: I had a truly positive experience at Hamble South Dental Clinic. My daughter’s two milk teeth weren't falling out as they had become slightly firm, and new teeth emerged underneath them. Six months back, I signed my daughter up at a different dental clinic, and we attended two appointments there. They couldn't extract the teeth; they attempted with forceps, but it didn't work, so they referred us to the NHS hospital for minor surgery to have them removed. After waiting for six months, we received no appointments. Ultimately, we contacted Hamble Dental Clinic, and we secured appointments in three days. The employees were extremely cordial and hospitable in that place. Dr. Shabana was truly supportive and proficient. She applied local anesthesia and extracted the teeth within seconds. I truly valued Dr. Shabana and her staff. Manager was equally as helpful.

Negative experience: Was registered their then when I go to call up to explain the pain I'm in they said sorry we've removed you from our team and I asked why they said cause u missed 1 appointment which I never booked or got told about .So within calling them I ended up at my doctors as was in so much pain to the point where my doctors sent me to hospital. Then upon arriving at the hospital they took xrays and blood and gave me antibiotics due to an infection that was cause by a falling done by yourself when I was pregnant. Fast forward to today I had to back to hospital to have it removed as the infection was spreading and causing pain so won't e using your services again xxx

Negative experience: Please don’t go here! They told me I needed £500 worth of work, thankfully I got a second opinion to find I didn’t need anything done- they’re untrustworthy, and taking advantage of people

Negative experience: I booked an urgent appointment and asked if it was through the NHS. The receptionist said yes as i am registered with this dentist as an nhs patient, and it would cost £27.40. I paid over the phone, and when I got in the chair, the dentist said that the £27.40 would only cover him looking at my tooth, and if I needed any work, I would have to pay private ‍♂️ they are trying to scam people and I will be taking this further.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from Shamnad the new manager at south cliff dental group. He’s built a great team behind him , they give family discount on teeth hygiene, also clean and tidy. The staff are very welcoming and listen to your needs. I highly recommend them for your Oral hygiene.

Fantastic experience: In the past I have not been happy with treatment given here. But my last two appointments have been with the best dentist I have had for a long time I can not speak highly enough of her. I spoke to the manager and told him if previous experiences he assures me that even being new to the job his aim is to keep making things better

Fantastic experience: My son had his primary tooth coming over his milk tooth which caused an ulcer in his mouth. Poor boy was in pain and we were not registered with any Dentist. I phoned a few nearby Dentists but none of them had an appointment fitting the purpose. Then I decided to check further away from us and luckily I phoned South Cliff Dental at Hamble who where able to register my boy and see him same day after his school. The Manager was so kind and compassionate. The Dentist was so caring and extracted my son's tooth gently. It was my boy's first experience with Dentist and it went very well for him and me. I registered my little daughter as well there. Many thanks to all Staff at South Cliff.

Negative experience: Horrific dentistry practice which has got worse year on year. When i first visited about 8 years ago, it was a fantastic practice with great dentists. Now, it couldn't be any more different. In the last few years, I have never been able to see a dentist, only dental technicians who, in my experience, have been extremely poor. One filling was left far far too high, causing me agony for days until I could be seen again. When they did lower the filling, they also removed part of my tooth... On another visit, when having an xray the technician used a mouth prop far too big for my mouth which has resulted in stretched jaw ligaments so my teeth go out of alignment whenever i have any dentistry work done. On another visit, I was recommended to have certain fillings done, when I came to get them done (by a different technician, you'll never see the same person twice), they suggested their colleague must have been "drunk" when examining me as they missed lots that needed doing and only recommended one which would be very painful to have done, and then recommended that I should wait until it started to hurt before having it done (they don't seem to use any anaesthesia at this practice any more). I did wait for it to start hurting, then visited again to be told it now needs a root canal and to either pay a huge amount for it to be done, or wait 5 months to have a consultation at NHS prices (no indication of when it'll actually be done). So i have now been left in permanent discomfort. The receptionists behave like wardens, are cold, and last time I went there appeared to be total confusion about how to book an appointment. It's not a professional establishment. I used to recommend the practice to lots of people, now I am afraid to go back as I'm never sure what they will do next. (The hygienist is pretty good though!)

Fantastic experience: My first time at this practice. I feel so happy and lucky to have found this practice. I was seen by Dr Ali Osdosvan, what a guy! I've had so many dentists and disliked every single one of them. This dentist is off the scale amazing. Such a kind man, approachable, knew what he was talking about. He was reassuring , friendly, and just an all round amazing man. I can't praise him enough. I just pray he doesn't leave.

Fantastic experience: Having left my own local dental practice due to a brutal hygienist and rude management and staff, I was unable to find an NHS replacement, locally, but still no regrets leaving my previous practice. I decided to try Copse Lane Dental Surgery (as it was when I was a patient in 2018) since changed to South Cliff Dental Group and I was not disappointed. From the helpful receptionist who I first spoke to on the phone, to the receptionist who was very friendly when I phoned enroute with heavy traffic concerns (I was driving 35 miles!) to the receptionist who greeted me, all so-far- so-good! I then met Rosemi, my new hygienist. What can I say but absolutely fantastic. Rosemi was the first, ever, hygienist to use numbing gel and what a difference it made. Even without that, though, I have no doubt it would have been painless as she took her time, was meticulous and so gentle. Unlike my previous gung-ho hygienist (in Poole, Dorset) who left me in pain for 3 days. I never had any pain following my treatment with Rosemi. Next, I met my dentist, Shabana, for a check-up and X-rays. Another great experience. Shabana listened to some of my Dental history and was able to answer my queries thoroughly. I then met the Manager and made my payment. Again, the manager was extremely polite and friendly. All in all, South Cliff Dental Group appears to have a great team and I have no hesitation in making the 70 mile round trip, twice a year for both hygienist and check-up appointments. I hope all concerned get to see my review and thank you again! I'll see you all in 6 months

Negative experience: Don't be fooled. They DO NOT take adult NHS. I had to pay £250 just for a dentist to help me out of pain. It didn't work. Lost my tooth!! The owner and dentists are ALL CROOKS. Steer clear. Staff never stay. New nurse every time. Reception can be really rude.

Positive experience: Anukriti is absolutely fantastic!! I haven't felt comfortable with my last couple of dentists here (and sadly they do change a lot, hopefully she doesn't go anywhere) but Anukriti made me feel at ease immediately. She explains everything clearly and is very professional. 3 did 3 fillings in 1 sitting and has honestly done the more remarkable job! The hygienist I saw last week was also fantastic! If the review was for them alone it would be 5 stars no question! However the practice as a whole is less professional. The receptionists aren't very welcoming or friendly and have made mistakes with my appointment times. They possibly require more training and / or greater job satisfaction. Dental assistants also don't seem overly competent. Despite this, Anukriti's complete competence made me feel 100% comfortable bringing my 3 very young children to see her. She was friendly, kind and gentle - explaining things directly to them which really helped them feel relaxed. Hopefully with some reflection and training the whole place can begin to run more professionally and dentists like Anukriti will remain long term.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my recent visit. Dentist explained the pros and cons of having treatment and fully outlined the cost before proceeding. Friendly and efficient staff on reception desk also. Attended again 6 months later for a checkup and the dentist was extremely efficient and friendly. She showed me in a mirror exactly what needed doing before going ahead with 3 small fillings which didn't need an anaesthetic. Fantastic experience: Very happy with the dental therapist (Anukriti Arya) and dental nurse (Sandra) who did a great job and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed yesterday. My son (age 12) had been a couple of days earlier and again they were fantastic. All through his procedure they told him what they were going to do and made him feel completely at ease. I learnt that this practice is without a practice manager at the moment which means emails go unanswered and the wait on the phone can be over an hour. It's a shame as when you actually do get seen, the treatment by the dentistry team is brilliant. I hope they get the managerial issues sorted out soon as this has the potential to really let the place down.

Positive experience: Appointment time changed three times on the same day and was still ten minutes late, but overall pretty good. Good Dentist.

Negative experience: Apparently caller number 1 in cue for about 40 mins still no answer, most impossible dentist to contact, how this dentist is still going I don't know. Unfortunately I stick with them as so difficult to find a dentist taking in NHS patience at the moment.

Fantastic experience: Hi everyone I wanted to write this post because I am so happy with the outcome. I went to see Ovis and explained to him that I was very unhappy with my front teeth as I broke them when I was very young now I am in my fiftys. Over the years I have gone too the Dentist and they have just patched them up and ended up looking horrible colors of Brown's. Ovis promised me that he would make them nice and do the best he could as he new I hated them. Well yesterday was my appointment day. Ovis spent a long time on my teeth working very hard I was very relaxed as I really trusted him I could tell just by lying there he was doing a good job, after Ovis had finished he gave me a mirror. My teeth are bright, white and rebuilt for the first time ever they match all my other teeth I am so amazed I can smile again rather than always covering my mouth up with my hand. I just want to say a big thank you Ovis. you're brilliant you have made me so happy I can't stop looking in the mirror everyone in my family have said Ovis has done a brilliant job, and yes 100% I would recommend Ovis he is great, Sandra

Negative experience: Please read the reviews also on trust pilot and from the staff on indeed before going to this place. I fortunately had my appointment cancelled, so looked at the reviews and sort a second opinion and found out I didn’t even see a dentist at south cliff dental but a Dental therapist/hygienist and was told I needed lots of fillings when I didn’t need any! They are cheap for a reason and trick you into thinking you have an NHS place when you get there you don’t. Iv reported them to the dental council regulators. You get what you pay for, the private dentist I went back to had a doctorate degree in dentistry and loads of other qualification with 20 years experience.

Negative experience: I have been ringing the surgery many times for an appointment for over a week. Have been kept on hold for over an hour every time but still no answer. It said I was first in the queue every time and the expected waiting time was one minute. What a joke!!

Negative experience: I wouldn't bother coming here. Save your time and money, find a good dentist. Where do I start. 1, They have an answer machine that they don't know the pin for, so if you leave a message they never check it. 2, They never respond to email. 3, The staff don't really care! They only talk to each other in non English, and when you ask about things they ignore you. 3. The reception staff are very rude, and at times due to language differences they don't know what to say. 4, the dental nurses are very rude, don't listen to the requests of patients. Over all a very unprofessional place to come. All this has been reported. No wounder this place is always taking on new patients, noone sticks around. I lasted 1 check up, and a filling. Then left. DO NOT COME TO THIS DENTIST.

Fantastic experience: I was absolutely delighted to find my old dentist Ali and his competent assistant Anca at Hamble practice after he moved from my local practice. He is a first class dentist and gives exceptionally good advice. I whole heartedly trust him and he has always carried out top rate dental treatment for me. I couldn't be happier to have him as my dentist once again.

Negative experience: I used to be really happy with this practice but as dentist have changed, so has the while place. Now it seems they don’t care about your teeth at all and are just trying to do the most expensive treatments. My appointment felt very rushed. They have good availability and work weekends which is amazing, but I also struggle to understand the receptionists or reach them via a phone.

Fantastic experience: Cracked my k9 tooth down to the gum line. Had to have it drilled close to the pulp, then sealed and filled. I was scared to hell about this. Had some quite bad pain 3 weeks after the filling was placed. That pain went away after 7 days anyway. The filling has been placed for roughly a couple of months now, and it still seems good, thankfully. Thank you Dr Ali and Anke for your compassion and doing a great filling that looks quite like the original tooth.

Negative experience: Asked to be booked in for a check up. At no point did they tell me this wouldn't be done by a dentist. Found out months later it was a dental practitioner I saw who had then advised me 3 fillings. Had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get my mouth guard fitted which was a 5minute appt. The receptionist told me had I been a private patient it would of been done the next day. They then cancelled my appt the day before. Worst experience in a dentist ever

Negative experience: Didn't have a dentist that could extract a tooth??? No one on site able to fix a set of dentures and have to go on a waiting list , gave up waiting after 6 months and changed practice. What kind of dental practice can't do dental procedures. They tell you you that have to pay privately if you want white fillings, even at the front (which are available on the NHS)

Negative experience: I rang over 3 weeks ago & left several messages as I needed emergency dental care. No replies, absolutely disgusted with the lack of care & customer service from this 5th rate dental business!! Do not go there they are the worst practice I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. They are a waste of time & money, I would never ever recommend them. To date they have still never contacted me, stay away from them!!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been with this dentist as a family for more than four years. Unfortunately, there has been lots of change in this time and both management and staff have rotated more than once (causing a bit of change fatigue). I’m pleased to say that has all changed and that the new management (and their staff) are brilliant. Special shout out to dental therapist, Anukriti. If you’re at all anxious about visiting the dentist then ask for her. She’s wonderful and highly skilled to boot.

Fantastic experience: Taking on NHS patients came at the perfect time for me. So pleased to he a patient at this practice. Seen within a couple of days of registering and then a week later for treatment. All staff were polite and the lovely lady dentist was extremely knowledgeable and I felt I was treated with respect by all staff. Time keeping was great, only waited a couple of mins. Next check up is already booked in. Big thumbs up to all

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Anukriti today. She was absolutely marvellous. After previously having a bad experience at a different dentist, she made me feel relaxed and completed my treatment totally pain free. Will be returning 6 monthly to see her. Her assistant was very kind and helpful aswell. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: After having had a bad experience with the previous owners of South Cliff Dental practice I was feeling very anxious returning under new ownership. I was seen by Anukriti. She immediately put me at ease, was patient, kind, gentle and informative. I have been several times now and today had a white filling with a tooth that was only half there. Again she was gentle, patient, kind and through and has done a wonderful job. She has also treated my two daughters who have a massive fear of the dentist from the past and they are no longer anxious when visiting now knowing they are being seen by Anukriti. Fantastic experience: Had a filling today put in by Anukriti. She was careful and took her time. She even did the drilling out without an anaesthetic and it didn’t hurt at all (and I am a real coward). The dental hygienist last week was really pleasant and gentle and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. A very good service overall.

Positive experience: I visited Copse Lane dentist for the first time yesterday. The receptionist was friendly and efficient and l was seen exactly on time! Ali was also very friendly and welcoming and listened attentively to my needs, fears and expectations. I was put at ease, reassured and then had an examination and x-ray. Negative experience: Terrible! Saw multiple dentists over the few years we were registered with them and each one tried to push unnecessary products and services. Customer service is awful - they don’t answer the phone and when you do eventually get hold of them, their communication skills are terrible. I have been chasing a refund for over 2 months and keep getting fobbed off with excuses and despite asking several times, they have failed to provide their official complaints procedure. Do yourself a favour and find a different dentist and these are honestly not worth the stress.

Fantastic experience: I went for a check up,absolutely brilliant service,the receptionists are really helpful and the dentist I had a check up with is amazing i had some work to be done and I honestly nearly fell asleep inn the chair,I've never experienced a dentist quite like her,her name is anukritl and she is a dental therapist..

Negative experience: I had to have 4 fillings, which I expected. Was told that I would have to pay privately (£740) for white fillings as they’re not on NHS. I opted for silver ones on the NHS and then paid £70 in advance for a hygienist appointment. After a week it was obvious that the fillings weren’t fitting properly and were causing me pain as my bite was off. My husband made me an appointment at his dentist (as he had suspicions that my dentist was ripping me off). When I saw the dentist at his practice they confirmed that white fillings WERE available on the NHS and should have been done plus the Copse Lane dentist hadn’t filed the fillings down which was causing the pain. I had to pay to have this done at the new dentist as, by this point, I didn’t trust Copse Lane to provide treatment. I called Copse Lane to cancel my hygienist appointment and requested my advance payment back. I was told I needed to come in and fill in a form, which I told them was wrong and they could refund it without this. The receptionist agreed and took all my details. That was a month ago and I am still waiting for my refund. I have emailed numerous times to be told that it is with the manager and may take a few weeks!! Totally unacceptable and at this point I just consider it theft. Will be lodging a formal complaint with the group and the NHS. This dentist just feels like a scam tbh. Avoid at all costs!

Fantastic experience: At last, after nearly two years of having a temporary crown I now have a permanent crown fitted! I have nothing but praise for the expertise and exceptional care taken by Dr Ali and his delightful assistant.who helped me to feel at ease. Thank you for such a positive dental experience. Fantastic experience: I am a new patient at the Hamble practice of South Cliff Dental Group. So far I have been most impressed by the treatment I have received from the dentist and feel that I am in safe hands. The communication with the reception staff is very good.

Fantastic experience: After a problem with my initial appointment and the surgery running late , I ended up having to reschedule after waiting 40 mins. I came back today for my rescheduled appointment with Anukriti Arya only to learn that she has been doing two people’s jobs as the hygienist is off sick . Anukriti Arya is doing her own patients as well as theirs hence the long wait the other day. I was given a free hygienist appointment to use in the future which I wasn’t expecting which is lovely of them. I have seen this lady twice now , once for hygienist clean today and once for an emergency filling last month. Both times she has been professional , gentle, all round an amazing dentist . I am a NHS nurse myself and know the pressure they are under. So I have even more admiration for Anukriti Arya taking on double the amount of patients still smiling and giving professional amazing service. If only we had more NHS dentists like you ❤️

Fantastic experience: Excellent and friendly service. Smiling and efficient receptionist. Dr Ali has a good chair side manner that is friendly but professional. Now waiting for the crown to be fitted.

Fantastic experience: I had terrible toothache from a broken tooth, they managed eventually to fit me in that next morning, Ali was amazing, saw I was in pain and dealt with that straight away, he then talked through options and we went with the best one. Great to have such a welcoming friendly dentist. Will recommend the surgery to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely over the moon that Ali Ostovan is back and despite the 160-odd mile round trip from where I live, I am more than happy to make the journey to receive the exceptional level of dental care and kindness that Ali provides. Truly can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Went and had a tooth extraction with south cliff Dental group at Hamble. I had Dr Ali,, I got to say he was excellent, the tooth was out in no time at all. With Dr Ali's humour and witt he made me feel relaxed. All round great service
