Ravat & Ray Dental Care - Oldham Dentist

Negative experience: I arrived a few minutes late and was met by a blonde receptionist who had a noticeably rude attitude. She was abrupt about my lateness and told me I hadn’t filled in the required forms. I apologised and checked my phone, but I hadn’t been sent any forms at all. When I explained this to her, she didn’t offer any apology or understanding. I had called ahead earlier to let the clinic know I might be a little late, as I recently gave birth and getting out with a newborn and two young child isn’t always straightforward. Despite this, I was spoken to in a very dismissive and unprofessional manner. When I got home, I checked again to confirm I hadn’t received any forms—nothing had been sent. I expect to be treated with basic respect and understanding, especially when following advice from 111 and managing three young children.

Negative experience: Very poor experience. Dentist was in hurry to finish the visit appointment. Lack of proficiency by dentist. The behaviour and way of treatment was extremely poor.

Fantastic experience: Without any doubt, Iqraa Nasir has got to be the best dentist ever. Even when it comes to anesthetic in the gums before a filling, you hardly notice the injection. She's very gentle, softly spoken and makes you feel at ease. She cares about her patients too and doesn't mind having a chat. She's a credit to your team.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Ravat and Ray for about 6 years and can only speak of them in the most glowing of terms. I recently experienced a bad toothache and when I rang (and got a real person on the other end after only a reasonable wait!) I was able to get seen the following day. The tooth was cleanly extracted after a full explanation and all is good. I have also had my routine check a few weeks later and a session with the Dental Hygenist, who took great pains to discuss my dental care, thoroughly cleaned my teeth and devised a plan to follow to prevent further loss. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you to all the staff at Ravat and Ray.

Fantastic experience: Nice and carm environment to attend lovely lady the dentist thank you

Negative experience: Had temp crown fitted, 15 minutes after leaving surgery the temp crown came out so went back and had re fitted but after driving over an hour to get home the temp came out again and then had to wait for 5 days until the dentist was back in to refit but had the actual molded crown back from the lab so had that fitted if which lasted 13 days. Had emergency work at another surgery and still waiting for a crown.

Fantastic experience: Had an app today at 2.15 went in on time. The denist mr chandravadan Mehta was the most pleasent ,funny dentist i have ever been to he put me at ease and was a pleasure to have met him. The young lady on reception was lovely and helpful when booked in for another app.

Negative experience: Feel there needs to be more training on providing treatment to children with special needs. Scaring children who are already anxious isnt going to get the best results.

Negative experience: My first private appointment I was treated amazingly and I was happy with my experience. However, my second visit was shocking. The appointment itself was decent nothing special, I was in for a filling which costed £150 as I am private. Before I was taken in I signed a sheet confirming that I had to pay the remainder £100 as I already had given my £50 deposit over the phone. Once I was done I left as I had already paid, an hour later I get a call from one of the receptionists claiming that I owe them an extra £46. Bear in mind that I had also called up a couple of days ago to confirm the price I would need to pay. I was told that this extra cost was due to me not visiting in over 6 months and that the price had increased? Definitely their own fault for not being clear enough and if I knew that one filling would cost me £196 I would never have booked myself in for one!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had to go for an emergency extraction today. The staff were all very patient and caring. They got me sorted and sent on my way on a Saturday which I really appreciate.

He was professional, friendly, put me at ease as I do not like going to the dentist. Explained everything well and gave good advice. The best I've seen for years. So much so I've took his advice and booked for more treatment something I would have never done before. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely dental practice, always really friendly when I go, I’m feared to death of the dentist but they have always made me feel relaxed and explain everything they are doing before it’s done so there’s nothing to surprise/scare me , I have recently had a large molar taken out & I was feared to death, my dentist was calming and made the experience so much better, although I knew it was coming out it was out before I even realised! Which to me is a miracle, I would definitely recommend this dentist x

Negative experience: This was honestly the worst place I've ever been to. I went on March 1st, 2025, after calling 111 because I was in so much pain. My appointment was at 7:20 PM, and I got called twice saying if I was 5 minutes late, I wouldn’t be seen. I arrived at 7 PM to be early, but I didn’t get called until 7:55 PM. The receptionist was really rude when I asked when it would be my turn. She went to check if my room was ready, and then I met Ramatin Martin Keighobadi, who was honestly the rudest person I’ve ever encountered. She wouldn’t let me explain what I wanted to discuss about my teeth and immediately started putting some powder mixture in my mouth. I asked if they were going to do an extraction, and she just said, “Nope, as you can see.” I was like, “Oh, okay, so what are we doing then?” She explained they would only be doing a temporary fix. I asked if I could get a referral to have my wisdom tooth removed, and she just sighed. Then she added a temporary filling without giving me any antibiotics for my throat pain or the cuts in my mouth. It was the worst £26 I’ve ever spent! Now, four days later, I’m still in so much excruciating pain.

Fantastic experience: Was referred to this dentist for an emergancy appointment, had a broken tooth and was given multiple options on what to do and I opted for it to be removed, the dental surgeon and nurse who saw to me where very kind, welcoming and thorough in their explanations, I had a bad experience with a dentist in my childhood and was petrified of ever going but these 2 who saw to me where the best I could of asked for, explained every step of the way and kept sating constant positive affirmations to keep me calm and collected, the tooth extraction was painless with only a slight bit of pressure, thank you again for making it a spain-free and stress free as you could

Negative experience: Never experienced anything like this in my life, the dental nurse was very rude and racist she was working with Sachin anand. The way she spoke to me to me was rude like I was stupid, and the way she treated me when giving me the bib and goggles was inhuman, the way she passed it me and took it of me was rude. Never experienced anything like this. I hope some action is done about this dental nurse, as its not nice for patients if that's how they are going to be treated.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting and I felt at ease . Lovely staff attentive and very caring. Prices are a little bit higher than NHS but you can claim the difference from DWP or NHS, obtain form HC3 ( double check). I highly recommend you try them.

Fantastic experience: Came for an emergency appointment here after the last emergency at timperley was not carried out correctly leaving me in pain, tanhill lane explained the root canal was not done deep enough and gave me the option to remove or try and still save the tooth. I had it removed… the staff was kind and helpful and professional and was able to give me a lot of information and advice. I’d love this place to be my regular dentist but unfortunately they are not taking on NHS however I may look into a dental plan here

Not everything can go right when it comes to dentistry they was the upmost professional people I have ever come across. So kind and caring so patient so gentle. I am so sorry I didn’t get names. They kept me calm through out held my hand and even dried my tears for me so compassionate through out my life I’ve had nothing but traumatic experiences with the dentist but as much as things went a little bit wrong tonight with my tooth just not numbing they were truly amazing! Negative experience: Very disappointed, i been on hold for an hour and they still haven’t picked up my call, i just want a dentist appointment, also when i do go they always the same thing just keep brushing, i need better than that. Makes going to the dentist a waste of my time especially the long waits

Receptionist phone to rearrange my carers appointment to a different day couldn't afford the petrol for 2 journeys so I canceled my appointment only to be told it would be recorded as a no show yet its OK for them to just change my carers appointment not to happy they can cancel and its OK but I can't cancel or re arrange not fare really

Fantastic experience: I came here as an emergency after a dreadful experience the week before at a different dentist. I've never had an issue at the dentist before, but the previous emergency treatment had left me traumatised. The dentist and her assistant were absolutely lovely, listened to me carefully and sympathetically. Explained what they were going to do, and as I was getting a bit nervous during the process, she stoked my hair and reassured me explaining everything they were doing and what it was going to feel and sound like. I was only there for 10 minutes but they made me feel like they had all the time in the world for me. I would recommend this practice to anyone. Even the lady on reception was kind and welcoming. Really commendable customer service

Fantastic experience: The Young Lady was brilliant. She explained oral health and did my exam and x-rays. I was, thankfully, clear. She advised me to book another appointment, which I did. She was brilliant, gave me a brush to clean between my molars.

Fantastic experience: Just came in for an emergency wisdom tooth removal. The dentist and the staff are extremely professional and friendly. I cannot express how great the dentist is. I am a very anxious patient and I have been putting up with a lot of pain to avoid attending the dentist but this dentist treated me with care and was so knowledgeable and helpful and got my wisdom tooth out in 5 mins. I did not even felt when she injected the local anaesthetic. I will be trying to get here for future appointments. I recommend Ravat & Ray Dental Care xx

Fantastic experience: I would just like to say Iqraa Nasir is an amazing dentist , she always takes her time and makes you feel at ease . She is the first dentist who I truly trust

Negative experience: Had appointment for tooth extraction as relly painful and loose tooth but I take blood thinning medication and they never told me to not take for 24 to 48 hours before appointment that had at 8 40pm so just wasted £20 on taxi just to get there and back home for nithering they never told me anything such a waste of time and money and no communication with me as a patient for them to do this

From reception till doc ( Dentist ) all were good and very kind . Fantastic experience: My first appointment with this practice and was skeptical at first. Thought it'll be like a conveyer belt system whereby they will get me in and out as quick as possible. Staff were extremely friendly, attentive and very welcoming. Didn't make me feel like a piece of meat and showed they cared. A dentist even saw me again after and sat and spoke to me for a while as I had further questions about services. I hope they maintain this standard. It's very refreshing to see. Well done

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. I went as an emergency appointment never been here before. From walking in it was very clean and relaxed atmosphere. I was called in for my appintment early and the young lady dentist and her assistant was so nice I really want to say thank you so much. I am embarrassed of my teeth and they made me feel so at ease. They were brilliant. We talked about my options but we agreed it would probably be best to be removed. It was a very stubborn tooth to get out it didn't want to shift but they talked me through literally holding my hand all the way through and I am so relieved to have the toothache gone and sorted out. They really looked after me. I wanted to give them a hug afterwards. Thanks again. I would definitely recommend. And can I just add... when they give me the numbing injection I did not feel a thing... how is that possible. Great work. Xxx

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment with Dr Kieghobadi. He was very thorough, kind, considerate and very professional. I was in pain and worried, the service left me feeling relieved and I left without pain and very happy. Everyone is doing a great job here at this clinic.
