Fantastic experience: I was delighted with my visit to East End Lodge. The visit was Sienna’s trip to the dentist and the team totally put her at ease and even made her giggle. She now can’t wait to return - thanks so much East End Lodge!

Negative experience: No problem with any dental but is it really necessary to subject waiting patients with GB News. The misogyny and racism I heard in just 15 minutes is not suitable and a totally inappropriate message for any public space.

Fantastic experience: With the usual dread of going to the dentist and the prospect of a new dentist after 36 years, I was very apprehensive. In fact, Maya was brilliant, put me at my ease and explained everything she was doing to mend my cracked tooth. Her approach was sensitive to my needs and qualms. Going forward, I most certainly will be more confident knowing that Maya will be treating me.

Fantastic experience: I have been very satisfied with the treatment received from Dr Maja Trojanowska and Emily in the last couple of weeks for which I am very grateful. Both were professional and caring and took the time to explain procedures thoroughly and answer my questions. I am pleased that Dr Maja Trojanowska is joining East End Lodge on a permanent basis.

Fantastic experience: Very professional but friendly team. I used to be frightened of visiting the dentist but you are soon put at ease.

Negative experience: I have been a member of the practice for 50 years. I was not happy with this latest experience. I got bombarded with txts reminding me of the appointment in the days before, on the day though, I was informed one of the two appointments was cancelled. I had no idea if it was the dentist or hygienist as names were given that meant nothing to me. I called the practice 5 times to find out what was going on and each time, the receptionists were too busy to answer. Apparently. In the end, I had to go to the practice. To cap it all, my dental appointment was 25 minutes later than booked. All in all, my worst experience in 50 years, and I am now actively considering quitting the practice.

Fantastic experience: East End Lodge have always been helpful and accommodating, but above all professional! Its services are second to non in the area. I would recommend them to anyone who requires a first class service.

Fantastic experience: I was let down for child care and had a hygienist and a enquiry for Invisalign (if I’m right by that name) either way my boy can be wild as he’s only 2 but the receptionist Kelly was wonderful she came and kept my boy entertained while I had X-Rays etc and no one made me feel like a burden. Even the wonderful hygienist who tried to help keep him entertained while having my teeth cleaned. Thank you for not making my life as a single mother a bit easier it’s appreciated more than you’ll ever know

Fantastic experience: I saw Emily, the hygienist, today. She was excellent, very gentle and very efficient. Also, Allie is a great dentist.

Negative experience: The receptionists are efficient and polite and I have no complaint about the new dentist, but our dentist of many years left to go sailing without any warning to his patients. Evidently he will not treat patients on a plan anymore. Even worse I was told that I would not have another check up till December, even though my last one was February, and I was paying about £70 a month to include 6 monthly checks. Those on a plan are apparently no longer going to receive the treatment they are paying for.

Positive experience: After having completed the required forms before the appointment, I was disappointed to find that Mr Madhavi (apologies if incorrectly spelt), speaks very quietly and I find it hard to hear what he says. I don't think he must look at the forms submitted. The nurse however was very clear.

Fantastic experience: Great service, my dentist (Peter) is fantastic, understands my needs and my wife’s (she is petrified of the dentist), took great care and nothing was to much trouble, reassured my wife every step of the way, everything was pain free , and my wife feels a bit more at ease now when visiting

Fantastic experience: I’ve just had a crown fitted and am feeling totally happy with the whole process. I am always slightly nervous to have any treatment at the dentist so had been dreading this. However Dr Torkos made me feel completely at ease and it was all done with no discomfort at all. My “new tooth”feels as though it’s always been there - the crown slotted into place like a piece of a jigsaw. He is obviously a fantastic dentist and I would hugely recommend him. The whole team at this practice are all lovely and doing a great job. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Friendly, professional staff and an excellent service.

Positive experience: Excellent service from Peter Torkos, the dentist. I had a filling to be done and not only did I get an appointment very quickly, but the filling was pain-free. When he heard that I didn't have a dental hygienist appointment until the end of August (it had been delayed), he also did a quick clean of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have Dr Cole .. great dentist always puts you at your ease ( I’m a terrible patient) scared stiff of the dentist , well used to be now just a little apprehensive… had my first ever hygienist appointment today .. was far to scared to see one .. what can I say Ash you are a star , made me feel completely at ease .. so much so that I booked another appointment … 5 star treatment they are a great bunch of people that work here …

Negative experience: Kerching! Kerching! Kerching! Said I needed a crown and I wanted an implant also. I did not want to go all the way to Petersfield for a CT scan. Was told there was nowhere else! Asked if the dentist could check for me as I could not leave my husband for long. He said he would get back to me in a couple of days. This was in January! I did my own research. There are several.places minutes away who do CT scans. This dentist showed a total disregard for my concerns. Obviously on a referral agreement with petersfield. He never bothered to get back to me with any treatment plan or discussion. I went elsewhere. Was told I did not need a crown as the tooth would last another 20 years. He did a CT scan for free! I will never recommend this practice to anyone. They are callous and money minded.

Fantastic experience: I saw the hygienist today, absolutely lovely lady! Soo friendly and gentle. She also gave me coupons for a new tooth brush with awesome discounts! Very happy with the service I received too

Negative experience: I attended my appointment this week with a new dentist as mine had left a few months ago, I was met with being called ‘dear’ then told my clothes were too casual I couldn’t have come straight from work and then he used the term ‘she’ throughout the treatment not once trying to remember my name, his manner was both cocky and dismissive ( I mentioned I had waited two weeks to have my chipped tooth sorted) apparently that’s just ‘one of those things’ I have been a patient at this surgery for over 45 years, many of those years as a Denplan patient, I have never felt like this about any previous dentists, they have all been highly professional and relatable, women! Mr Cole would be mortified. I am seriously considering looking else where.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff were friendly and the dentist greeted me warmly. I felt the dentist was very thorough even raising an issue with my jaw crunching which went above and beyond. The hygienist was also very friendly and thorough. It was a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: I consider this to be a professional and friendly practice. I have been a patient at this surgery for many years and remain confident of the service and care I receive. Once again, on my appointment this week, I was reassured by the team. I feel confident that Dr Ali Mahdavi is providing good advice and ready to offer treatment options when these become necessary. I also had an appointment with the very skilled hygienist Tracy Blosse who has provided me excellent treatment for considerable time. I feel lucky to have a positive and professional team looking after my dental requirements.

Positive experience: Thank you Emily for being a good hygienist. Shame Ali Mahdavi didn't have time to read my notes before meeting me. And not realising l had been to The Wessex because of my fractured bridge. I had seen him 3 times a year ago, and he didn't notice or take any x-rays?!!!

Fantastic experience: I have experienced an excellent service from the start ,of both the reception staff and the surgery team of dentist and nurse. But being elderly and having false teeth, I cannot highly enough recommend and thank the brilliant service provided from the dental labs. I could not wish for a better 'made to measure' of my new lower plate which I received. This statement is highly boosted when I compare with the stream of last four dentists I have visited, each with medium service in the surgery but a terrible experience with their laboratories, novices at best.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to have both a wisdom tooth removed and crown fitted - a nightmare for someone who is quite anxious in the dentist chair at the best of times. But Dr Shakil and his dental nurse were brilliant! Very reassuring and professional mannered, checking I was ok throughout. They made such a positive difference to the whole experience for me. Fantastic experience: All the staff are great. Outstanding service, from the moment you check in, with very good pre and post appointment communications and I thoroughly recommend this practice. Dr Kamal is extremely professional and competent and explains everything that is going on during your treatment, which gave me great confidence. I was recently in for quite a long session of treatment and, as far as a visit to the dentist can be, it was a pleasurable and completely pain-free experience.

After scary visits to the dentist as a child, I am still a little apprehensive. However, I cannot fault my appointments and would highly recommend Emily as an excellent, caring and patient Hygenist.

Fantastic experience: Excellent caring treatment my Shakil Kamal who has just removed a tooth in readiness for an implant. My regular dentist, Mr Cole, spotted that the tooth needed to be removed and had talked me through my options. Having decided on an implant, I was referred to Shakil. He is very approachable and patient, describing exactly how the treatment will take place, answering all questions clearly. Although the tooth already had a root filling and was wedged in firmly between other teeth, the extraction was painless. Aftercare was explained in detail and I've had no problems.

Fantastic experience: Recently I’ve required root canal work followed by a crown and have found Dr Shakil Kamal’s professionalism, advice, communication and expertise to be superb.

Fantastic experience: Had to have some dental treatment that I was terrified of, which included having dentures after extraction!!! Have to say i was handled with great care and the dentures are a superb match, would not know they were not my own

Fantastic experience: I had broken a important lower back tooth. An early appointment, and to have a crown was the only solution. The early appointment for the impression was unbelievable with the latest technology. The crown is now fitted. Each appointment, Mr Kamal and the staff were professional, but also very caring. Almost a pleasure to go to this dental practise.

Fantastic experience: Good appointment treatment I am having was explained completely and price was given the same day. Just had a new top denture made by Peter Torkis and I am able to eat a lot easier than beforehand thank you Had another couple of appointments one with Tracey the hygienist she is amazing. Positive experience: A normal hygienist's appointment, but this time with a different member of staff, as the excellent young man had left to develop his skills. I was a little nervous about Emily, but she put me at ease, took time to explain what she was doing, and stopped at once if I needed to swallow the water down. No worries!

Fantastic experience: Friendly relaxed atmosphere, painless treatment by the excellent people who work there. Especially grateful to Dr S Kamal & Ms L Rajkafoor. Dr Kamal is new to the practice, but is very professional and especially friendly! So he fits in well with the other staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of East End Lodge for many years, as did my Mother before me. Every member of staff are caring, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Mr Cole is a superb dentist and I would travel miles to be treated by him. Cherry the hygienist who has sadly retired was equally as superb, but I am sure the new hygienists joining will be wonderful. Thank you East End Lodge.

Negative experience: The receptionists/telephonists are not the most pleasant to deal with. I’ve never found them very welcoming or helpful. Appointments are rarely on time. I’ve just noticed that an appointment I’ve booked has just been cancelled without my knowledge or authorisation. Terrible customer service. Estimates for future work are never offered I’ve just had a shock after being asked to pay £441 for a procedure. Nothing improves.

Fantastic experience: Staff always friendly and happy. Have been going there for almost 30 years and always felt they have given me five star treatment. All staff from receptionist to the dentists Peter and Adam gave me great care.

Negative experience: Turned up 5 mins early for my hygienist appointment and announced my name and appointment time to the receptionist. She looked at her screen. “What’s your date of birth?” I told her. Some more scrutiny of the screen…. “What was your name?” (This annoys me at the best of times: “What WAS your name.”) I didn’t get cross, and I wasn’t rude. “Your appointment’s been cancelled,” she said, “didn’t you get a message?” Again, I restrained myself, but it took some effort. As politely as I could manage I said, “No, if I had received a message I wouldn’t be here.” Then a lightbulb lit, dimly, and she said “I’ll see if there are any other appointments this afternoon.” There weren’t. “Well it seems this is down to reception then.” Said the woman, still seated behind the reception desk. So I said, “ah, I see so this was THEIR mistake and you’re all very sorry.” Silence. So I walked out. As I did so she called out “did you want to make another appointment…?” I didn’t. Now if I had had to take an afternoon off work for this 2pm appointment, I’d have been really cross. As it happens I’m undergoing cancer treatment at this time, so I wasn’t working. I don’t expect a receptionist to necessarily be on form every hour of every day, but I DO expect common decency - which ought to be automatic. I could see her thinking “he wants me to apologise, but I ain’t done nutthin’ wrong……” Other dental practices are available.

Fantastic experience: I had to have a back molar extraction due to infection and I was very nervous and suffering anxiety !!! I needn't have worried Dr Kamil was absolutely amazing he looked after me took his time and reassured me I'll be fine . Before I knew it my tooth was out no pain and my anxiety and nerves went out the window. Assisted by the dental nurse who was also amazing, just want to thank you so much for looking after me the way you did. I'd give 11/10 for my experience !!!.

Positive experience: First time of visiting my regular Dentist, and I have to congratulate you all for the service given both professionally and personally. Fantastic experience: Had to make an appointment as one of my fillings had fallen out. It wasn't urgent as it wasn't painful but I managed to get one the next day. As it was a large filling I was half expecting to have the tooth taken out, but as the dentist had time he refilled it there and then. Perfect.

Negative experience: Have been forced to leave the practise as they would not find an alternative dentist for my children. We have been there 16 years I c old not be more disappointed in the communication and service.

Fantastic experience: I have a massive phobia of dentists. Peter completely put me at ease, listened to my symptoms. He was reassuring, and talked through everything with explanation. He gave me a plan. I'm really happy and have confidence to see him regularly. Will have regular visits from now. Peter has also treated my daughter who has autism and learning difficulty. He did a tooth extraction, with patience and gradual pain relief. It was all over in 5 mins, with no pain and excellent healing. We came away with excellent after care. Just like to also mention the amazing nurses that work with him. So reassuring and held her hand. My faith restored in dentists

Fantastic experience: Dr Ali is a very caring dentist and excellent in his job.All the dentists and their assistants are very good especially if you are in pain.The reception team are so good at getting you help if you really need it.East End Dental lodge really looks after their patients,and if you are nervous seeing dentists then Dr Ali is just the right dentist you need.The whole team look after you so well.

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend East End Dental Practice. Friendly, efficient and kind. I recently broke a tooth, and was given an emergency appointment for the next day, followed by treatment by my regular dentist later. I am a nervous dental patient, but thanks to the expertise and sympathetic support of Dr Ali and nurse Mila I had my treatment pain free and quickly. I will be a lot less nervous for any future treatments.

Fantastic experience: I was surprised to get an appointment in these difficult times and I am so impressed by the treatment I received. The dentist was kind, efficient and professional. 20/08/24 this visit was to repair a broken tooth. The dentist was very kind and efficient. I had 2 injections (ouch) and 2 scans of all my teeth. The broken tooth was filled down and then covered with a temporary crown. The permanent one will be fitted in 2 weeks.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always been very happy with the treatment I have received at East End Lodge. If all my medical treatments available to me were of a similar standard I would be very happy. I would recommend anyone seeing Michael Cole and Emily the Hygienist.
