Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Dental Essence in Broadwater. I've been a patient there for several years, most recently seeing Holly who is really lovely and super kind and patient with my two small children. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, and I feel that the prices are really reasonable for such a good standard of service and care.

Negative experience: Every time I've been to this Dentist, there has been a different person dealing with me. Latest visit i had two fillings booked in with a dentist there, Holly(avoid). After telling her i dont floss, my teeth are too tight, she took it upon herself, without consent to chip away the enamel in between two of my teeth. I rang, complained and told them I was having horrible shooting pains when I ate and drank. They booked an emergency appointment at 3:45 pm, I was there from 3:20pm. That time came and went, then watched a 4pm appointment go through to have an extraction done which in the receptionists words would take about an hour. No communication, poor service all round. Absolutely would not recommend. If no stars were a thing it'd be that!!

Fantastic experience: Phoned up Tuesday, broken molar starting to play up. Appointment on Wednesday afternoon to get it removed. Appointment for 2.40 and was in the chair at 2.39. Because it was broken (and rotten!) it proved to be a really difficult extraction. Holly and her dental nurse were absolutely first class. I was kept informed of progress at all times with frequent reassurance and progress reports. Once the tooth was removed I was provided with pack explaining what I needed to do to relieve pain and not aggravate the hole left behind. I cannot fault the level of care provided. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The dentist was very efficient in sorting an x-Ray and fitting my wife in for 2 filings, before any infection could take place.

Fantastic experience: A practice that looks after you well and the dentist I am assigned to, a very pleasant young lady, with a remarkably soothing voice, carries out the treatment with care and full explanation of the work to be done.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend the team at Dentalessence in Broadwater highly enough! From the reception staff to dental nurses, dentists and sedationists, the whole team are amazing! They're incredibly understanding of nervous patients like myself and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and reassured throughout the whole journey. For those who've had traumatic experiences with other dentists in the past, this is the team to see.

Fantastic experience: My wife booked me in to the dentist for a hygienic job on my teeth and told me to also ask them to do some oxygen treatment. Apparently that is high pressure oxygen to whiten the teeth. Going to a dentist is never a happy and relaxing experience and I cannot say that I didn't feel a thing, but as they say, you have to suffer a bit for beauty, so that's what I did... However, now I can apply for a job in a Hollywood movie! (no dark fruit teas now for a while...)

Positive experience: I don't feel confident in the diagnosis or treatment plan I have received from here this time. It felt rushed, uncertain and I was bombarded with a lot of information and what I found to be confusing messages. They are also now extremely expensive! This is sad as this used to be a very strong dental practice but right now I feel disappointed and upset.

Fantastic experience: Simone was absolutely lovely, calm and patient. Every dentist I have had here have been exceptional. Simone gave me good advice and explained everything to me clearly. What made an immense difference this time was having the mirror and being able to see what Simone was seeing. This meant that I was no longer anticipating discomfort or pain, seeing what was going on for me was a great distraction. Dentist assistant was also friendly, I would never to go to another dentist, highly recommended also with friendly receptionists.

Positive experience: Excellent service every time my dentist Izzy is fantastic, very professional and clear on what needs happening. The only reason for me not giving 5 stars is that treatment is really expensive and I would like more discussion and options to make payments for pricy treatments (which are most)

Fantastic experience: Izzy has been seeing my 2 teens for a few years now and is aways friendly and reassuring, speaking to them not just about their teeth but life in general (checking who was taller this time, him or my son!) and is patient and gentle with them. Both don't mind coming to the dentist as they know they will be listened to and treated gently. Treatment is discussed before carried out, with the option of a referral for braces if needed/wanted. All of the staff are welcoming and put you at ease, definitely the complete opposite of the experiences I had at their age, thank you.

Fantastic experience: I can highly recommend dentalessence in worthing. I have recieved excellent care and kindness. On this trip I recieved a wisdom tooth extraction which was complicated however everyone was very professional. I had a few issues with the healing process after where dentalessence were able to provide appointments on two visits and follow up phone call conversations to review my healing. Everyone was so kind. Best first experience of dental care I have ever recieved!

Negative experience: Very expensive! In response to your reply- You should have high standards regardless. Just because you charge more doesn’t mean your standards are any better than anywhere else. Reception woman was rude and unhelpful. I wouldn’t say your standards were any better than others.

Fantastic experience: I have never liked going to the dentist but my experience at dentalessence is a pleasant one. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful, and my experience with the dentist and hygienist is also a good one. Both are very professional, calming, and reassuring which is ideal for someone like me who can be an anxious patient. I usually leave from my appointment surprisingly pain free and happy

Positive experience: Hygienist was lovely, very friendly and thorough. Receptionist was helpful, but a bit assumptions so things got a bit muddled, she didn’t explain about a deposit for the hygienist, just assumed I knew. There was a bit of confusion, because of my insurance. She did scan my claim over for me, though. The old staff were friendlier.

Fantastic experience: Having spent most of my life, that's over 70 years, finding visits to the dentist very stressful I was very pleased to at last find a dentist that I no longer worry about visiting. Every aspect of the practise is geared to making their patients comfortable and relaxed even when undergoing complex treatment. I cannot recommend Dentalessence strongly enough, don't take my word for it - try them, you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Got a quick appointment with my preferred dentist - was seen on time and within 30 minutes the problem had been solved, effortlessly and with no fuss.

Fantastic experience: My Hygienist(Clare) is just amazing!! She always goes above of whatever needs to be done and seems to know my teeth and full medical history better than I do! Unreal! And just seen Shal about Invisalign! She is just so to the point and great with knowledge, advice etc, sending me an email on the day with all the information discussed! Negative experience: DON'T MAKE TREATMENT THERE!!!Dentalessence specialists weren't make appropriate treatment, they didn't make nessury attention and ruined my helth! In February the dentist Dr Adrian Afonso Mujica found that I have an infection of the upper right sixth tooth, respectively, conducted root canal treatment /in another clinic with Dr Michael Seare/, and put a crown. In May, there was pain again, which was established / without taking a new picture /, was use old picture from February, and he decided that it was from the wisdom. The wisdom was taken out. I want to send a special greeting to George Prodromidis. He is a professional, very careful and kind! I had a very easy and fast recovery after the extraction. After to weeks of the extraction on the wisdom, the pain it reappears again, this time the receptionist sent me to another dentist Dr Mina Messiha who decided that it was from the seventh tooth and I need to remove the tooth or to make root canal treatment. I visited two different specialists in another clinic with long experience, who paid me the necessary attention! The gum on the sixth tooth was so red, swelling and painful, and the crown started to peel off.A photo was taken, which covered the roots of the sixth and seventh teeth completely / which were not taken in Dentalessence clinic /! When it was found that the pain came from a re-infection of the sixth tooth, which began to spread to the bone! They needed to remove the crown, opened the tooth, cleaned it, and put antibiotics. If I judge my experience of the Dentallessons clinic and after the examination of two different dental specialist /one of them surgeon/: First, the Endospecialist didn't make the procedure right. Second, the crown wasn't appropriate for my bite. The dentist didn't make a new picture of my sixth tooth. Instead of using the old picture , he didn't see the infection and put the wrong treatment. Third, the last examination was with the wrong diagnosis. If I listened to the dentist, I would lose a helth tooth. In conclusion, I spent five months in repeat pain, trusting on the dentists of the clinic to help me, and spent more than 2000£ to feel pain.

Fantastic experience: Managed to book an appointment next day. No excessive waiting upon arrival. The dentist I saw was very professional and considerate, and the care provided was as good as I could have asked for. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Great dental surgery, with appointments on a Saturday, so no need to take time out of work. Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming and Mary is a fantastic dentist who explains exactly what is needed clearly, is caring and gentle. Fabulous dental surgery!

Fantastic experience: I had a bad experience at another dental practice in the past and so I was very apprehensive and anxious about seeing a dentist again. The care, empathy and kindness shown to me by the dentist Izzy was exemplary to say the least. Izzy reassured and supported me throughout the treatment and I left feeling that I had received the very best care. I am now less anxious about returning. I would highly recommend this practice.

Positive experience: Prices have risen since the last 6 monthly check up. Was informed on arrival that there was a 45 minute delay, however, I was not charged for the prescription toothpaste due to the long delay.

Positive experience: I would recommend Dentalessance in Worthing to anyone needing a tooth extraction They squeezed me in the same day because I was in agony. Ask for Holly. She made the unpleasant bearable! Thank you Holly … and the receptionist ( I don’t know her name but she was very friendly).

Fantastic experience: I saw Mary yesterday who had to extract a tooth. I have a huge fear of the dentist, Mary and her assistant were amazing and so very patient with me throughout my appointment. Mopping the tears from my cheeks and talking to me every step of the way. Can’t praise them enough

Fantastic experience: I had broken a tooth. Dentist and the nurse worked together as a brilliant team to make what could have been unpleasant a reassuring experience. Communication about the process was excellent throughout. No painful after effects either. Then earlier this week it was time for a check up. As ever the dentist was very considerate, reassuring and took great care of me. Scale and polish is never a comfy process but he did all he could to reduce the impact.

Fantastic experience: As much as I hate having to go to the dentist I almost enjoy going to Dentalessence. My one in a million dentist is Izzy who always manages to keep my fears under control whilst doing a fantastic job of two emergency fillings in the last couple of weeks. The receptionists are friendly and helpful as well as being professional. My lovely hygienist Clare also makes my visits as easy and painless as possible. All in all going to Dentalessence is a 5 ⭐️ experience for me.

And had my check up with Holly yesterday who is a brilliant dentist and super friendly. I normally see Sebi and Helen on reception who are brilliant. Yet again 10/10 for Dental Essence

Fantastic experience: Quick and painless from start to finish. I needed a filling and the whole process from getting an appointment to all relevant information was handled above my expectations. I would happily recommend them to friends and colleagues. I have now been using this dentist for a few years and have had work done by a few of the dentists. All have been great and I am completely happy with the service and pricing.

Positive experience: Very nice dental practice which has always been gentle in treatment as the name suggests. Unfortunately since dropping NHS subsidy it's only downfall is the hefty pricing. £210 for a simple extraction, 10 min app. £250 for a filling, half hour app. £50 checkup fee.

Fantastic experience: I had a hygienist appointment with Claire who takes great care to ensure that you are comfortable while she works her magic. This was followed by a check with my dentist. All went well and I'll be back next March 2025 for my 6 monthly clean and checkup. All the staff are very friendly and put you at your ease. Great service, Great Team.

Negative experience: I've been a happy patient here for the best part of 9 years. In fact, my regular dentist has been wonderful. However, i have just walked out disgusted by the lack of care and sympathy shown to my 8 year old son. After gladly accepting a very last minute appointment (greatfully accepted for 18:55 today) to check my son's gum infection, I can only say that I've never experienced anything like the contempt towards myself, and son's nervousness. In a nutshell, it was clear that the dentist (id never seen before) had better places to be and told us twice within 5 minutes that he was meant to leave at 7pm. When my very anxious son started crying because the dentist told him that he'd "need a root canal or tooth removed", no sympathy was shown. In fact, when trying to then take an x-ray, no explanation of the process was given to my son and he was told to "man up". Making him cry more, that crosses a line in my book and I told the dentist I did not appreciate his words. My son ran out of the room and down stairs screaming. I left fuming and yes, I did raise my voice and shouted my frustration at the dentist, but what parent wouldn't?! When making it clear that you cannot tell an 8 year old to "man up", I was told that I was only annoyed over 2 words and if I didn't stop shouting then I'd be banned from the practice. You know what? Yes, I am annoyed over your choice of words. It's unacceptable, and to then continue to state that I am in the wrong and "a health care professional should not put up with this" and i should "be grateful we could fit you in" shows an incredible level of contempt for a patient. I agree that nobody should suffer unfair criticism or abuse. Words matter and whilst uncharacteristically raising my voice, no abusive words were spoken on my part. I will fiercely stand up for what I feel is right - especially where my children are involved and being spoken down to in public. Unfortunately, we left with my son scared and saying he won't go back. That's not good - especially if he needs treatment. On a positive note, I can only praise my regular dentist Mary, and Helen the receptionist for her words tonight. I fully appreciate your obvious care for my son's welfare and the situation we found ourselves in. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I saw Claire recently the hygienist. As someone who is very nervous about dental procedures after watching the film THe Dentist, I cannot be more thankful to Claire. Claire is very gentle and caring with all what she does and her approach made me feel safe into her hands. Will always recommend Claire ! She is the best! Once again thank Claire for taking good care of me.

Fantastic experience: I attended Dentalesscence for the first time on 11 December. I felt very welcome. The Check up was comfortable and the necessary treatment carefully explained. I am pleased to be going ahead with the advised treatment. I attended on 6 August 2024. The check up was detailed and carefully explained. In view of helpful information received further treatment has been arranged.

Fantastic experience: On my 5th visit so far for Dental treatment, it is the highest quality of service and professionalism I have ever experienced,I have no fear attending dental appointment.i have always being terrified of the Dentist for most of my younger years,until of course I was treated by Dorina Contour. Fantastic experience: Having been at another practice for a very long time l found that basically my teeth & gums were in a diabolical state. I had a different dentist every time I went & had lost all confidence. I came as an emergency, to Dental Essence in Broadwater a VERY nervous wreck , & in a lot of pain. The dentist- Mary was absolutely amazing, I cannot stress how kind and empathetic she was , she explained the situation and immediately started treatment. I’m still nervous but she has my complete confidence and trust. All the staff are kind and supportive.

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous dental patient, but izzy's warm and caring way put me at ease. He talks me through every step, offering me time and space if I'm feeling overwhelmed. Positive experience: A great team of Dentists, assistants and reception team. Very friendly, professional and great with the whole family. Only big downside is they don’t do dental plans and kids fillings are the same cost as adults when adult teeth affected so very very expensive.

Fantastic experience: I am an extremely nervous patient and I managed to have my tooth removed with sedation with Maddy. Maddy took her time with me and listened to me throughout. Only 24 hours later and the extraction and fillings are pain free. Thanks again to everyone at dentalessence

Positive experience: I've recently had a tooth removed and although I knew it was inevitable I was absolutely dreading it! Holly was so calming and reassuring, explaining what was going to happen at each step and made the whole procedure smooth and pain-free. Thank you... who knew having a tooth out would be such a bearable experience! The worst part was the bill.... a hefty £255, now that did made me wince, hence the 4 stars and not a 5!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic from initial contact with the helpful receptionist to the best hygienist appointment I've had. I can't recommend enough. I had been anxious about seeing a hygienist but Claire was so professional and put my mind at ease, taking the time to answer my questions and making me feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely and caring dental pactise! I am a ridiculously nervous patient and both the lovely receptionists to the hygienist I see are all kind and friendly. They even called me after an appointment to check I was ok. Highly recommend for anyone who is fearful of the dentist....

Fantastic experience: I have been having a course of treatment here for about a year now, after many years of neglect! Some lovely staff here - Helen on reception is always so calm and kind, and puts you at ease whilst waiting. My dentist Izzy is also really kind and gentle; he explains everything he is going to do, and listens to my concerns too. I no longer feel worried when an appointment is due as I have done in the past.

Fantastic experience: Clare the hygienist is so great, I have very sensitive teeth and she always adds some gel to numb before the clean. I am not a fan of dentists generally, but Clare makes me feel really welcome and is very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Dentalessence in Broadwater Worthing have been absolutely excellent throughout the whole time that they have been providing my dental treatment. The reception team and the dentist are always very helpful and responsive to any emails and calls, and I am really pleased with the Invisalign course that I am two thirds through. They were also extremely helpful with support and advice when I had a crown fall out while abroad. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ismail Ayub was great. Very good to explaining problems with my teeth, the need for treatment and the options I had. Treatment for a filing was very comfortable. He also explained the possibility of further treatment being required.

Fantastic experience: After taking this long to find a dentist as no nhs ones now, plus very bad experience with my last dentist , I done my research and read lots of reviews and this one was the best reviews I have read. Finally went Friday and the staff were so very friendly and my dental nurse I couldn't fault at all. She was so reassuring and gentle and explained everything I came out of there finally feeling relaxed and reassured and positive. Thank u so much and will continue coming here .

Fantastic experience: I have just had an emergency tooth extraction which was carried out by Holly who made me feel very comfortable and talked me through the procedure before starting. Fantastic experience: I called to book an urgent appointment and was given one on Saturday morning with a dentist and technician that I had not met before. The dentist and his dental technician were very professional and incredibly kind. The procedure was done efficiently and with minimal discomfort and care was shown for me at all times. Communication was really good and I felt safe through the procedure. Particularly the technician was very empathetic and reassured me during the anaesthetic. They really worked together as a great team.

Fantastic experience: I underwent two deep fillings which were asymptomatic and only picked up by an x-ray. Previous experiences of local anaesthetic had left me anxious and reluctant to undergo the procedure. I was put at ease, didn't feel the injections and was given opportunity to take a breather, increase numbing and ask anything during the procedure. The fillings have prevented more extensive work and pain later if left untreated. As much as nobody likes getting dental treatments done, its essential and I am pleased my experience was more positive than my expectations. Happily recommend the practice, especially if you are anxious of undergoing dental procedures, or have been rushed previously by other practices.
