Fantastic experience: I had my composites replaced and a new one on my front teeth, one of which was very crooked. Dr Taylor and Bethany were brilliant - they explained what was happening at each point. In fact it was so relaxing my FitBit thought had slept for an hour! I absolutely delighted with the end result. I hadn’t realised how much my smile could be improved and it’s given me renewed confidence in my appearance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Towngate Dental. Professional, calm and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Towngate from my dentist in St Anne’s for a particularly difficult root canal filling. I found the place easily and was glad to find there was a car park to the rear. I was made very welcome by the receptionist and shown exactly where to go. My friend, who was waiting for me, was also made very welcome and was given refreshments. Everything, including risks, was explained so I knew exactly what was going to happen. In my case the treatment was a challenge, however, Will persisted and, in the end, it was completely successful. I was shown images that allowed me to understand everything. The only pain was the anaesthetic needle going in, but that is normal and over very quickly. I was constantly reassured and asked if everything was okay. By the time I got home, everything was back to normal like I hadn't even been treated. You should not think of root canal work as scary. Thoroughly recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Made an appointment for a checkup after having a tooth pulled the month prior, the staff Ioannis and Marie were very helpful and calming as i am not the biggest fan of dentists in general, after explaining what my future dental plans were Ioannis explained what my options were and what further treatments would be needed. Left feeling extremely reassured and informed on what was available to me.

Fantastic experience: After not visiting a dentist for over 15 years, I was understandably apprehensive about returning. However, from the moment I spoke with Hannah B and Ben, my worries instantly vanished. The entire process was incredibly smooth, and all the staff were so friendly. They took the time to discuss my options with me in an honest yet approachable way, recommending the best paths and people to ensure I received the highest quality care – something I truly value with a private service. I left my appointment feeling so much better about going to the dentist and no longer have that old fear! Helen then helped me with the next steps, and she was equally friendly, explaining everything clearly and outlining the various options available to me. Overall, I am extremely glad that I chose to register with this dental practice over others. The entire team is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Most importantly, I never felt pressured to spend more money on services I didn't need/want; everything was at my own pace for services that I enquired about and even with those, I felt like I was able to get them done when I wanted to and not when it suited the practice. This was unlike any dental visit I've experienced before.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal done by Will and Alisha, and honestly, they were amazing. I was nervous going in, but Will explained everything so clearly and in a way that didn’t feel overwhelming. Fantastic experience: Kate who is the in house hygienist is fabulous at her job, so thorough and educational at the same time, would highly recommend to anyone wanting hygiene works carried out. Previously I had a chipped front tooth which Ben Trill who is one of the dentist's at the practice repaired brilliantly, he matched the colour of the tooth perfectly and kept me informed of what he was doing at all times through the process, cant recommend this dental practice highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist to the most brilliant Will Holmes as a previous Root Canal was giving me problems, Will explained all my options and we went with redoing the Root Canal. On the day of the appointment he was so lovely and looked after me. That was 6 months ago and I have returned today for a review appointment to see if all is well, Will and Alisha were so lovely I could have stayed longer . Fantastic experience: I have been going to Towngate dental since I’ve had my very first teeth. I am now 22 and have had no fillings and no issues with my teeth at all. They’d pointed out that was grinding my teeth at night and recommended a guard which has stayed with me for about 3 years and have had no issues or breakages. I can’t recommend this practice enough. The hygienist Kate has been seeing me since I was a baby and it is so nice to come back every time to a professional and friendly environment.

Fantastic experience: We visited the clinic for the first time and were very pleased. The reception was very friendly, the staff are always ready to help in any situation. The dentist Zoryslava works very professionally, an excellent approach to the child, before the filling began, she explained everything to the child, which allowed my daughter to relax. The tooth was filled without pain despite the fact that the affected area was large. Thank you, now only you will treat teeth!

At checkups, the examinations are thorough and efficient, with the emphasis being on prevention rather than cure. Fantastic experience: We are a traveling family who needed an orthodontic appointment for my son, as our provider is in America. We were able to get scheduled at Towngate after contacting about 20 providers in the area who refused to see him. Fantastic experience: This dentist is an absolute gem of a place. Dr Taylor is one of the best dentists if not the best in the north west. She is a true perfectionist and won’t let you leave until she is happy with the results. I’ve been to other dentists that claim to be the best but Towngate in my opinion is better on every front. Fantastic experience: Went for an emergency inspection. The dentist Faye was brilliant with me. Explained things clearly and was extremely careful with me. Any fears of dentists were put to ease. All members of staff I dealt with were exceptional. Feb 13th 2025: again fantastic service, I had to be seen over 2 days because of an unforseen complication. William is a cracking dentist, took my other medical conditions into account and was happy to answer any of my questions. I can't remember the name of the nurse I'm afraid, but she was very friendly and polite. Again all members of staff were top notch again a 5/5 experience

Fantastic experience: Wonderful dental surgery. We moved here after a house move and have been really impressed. Nothing is too much trouble. We can get appointments around our work, which is great as I often work away in the week. Everyone is polite and considerate. Fantastic experience: I saw Will for a root canal and can honestly say it was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I’d heard it might be painful from friends who had had it at other places but I can honestly say it was totally pain free, and I was comfortable and felt reassured throughout from Will and his assistant (Rachael). All the staff at Towngate are lovely and chatty, but most of all genuinely caring, with a special mention going to Kath the receptionist who greets you with a real warming and welcoming smile, chat, and glamorous style!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Towngate Dental Practice for root canal treatment. Following a referral from my dentist, I had stage 1 of the treatment today after an initial consultation appointment. I am a nervous patient so I was really apprehensive, especially as I had heard from friends about bad experiences of this treatment at other dentists. There was absolutely no need for me to worry. Receptionists Kath and Michelle welcomed me on arrival and their smiles instantly put me more at ease. Will, the endodontist, and the dental nurse Alisha, were totally professional and very skilled in their work. Will did an amazing job of explaining each step to me in simple terms as his work progressed, and constantly checked if I was comfortable. The procedure was completely pain-free. I honestly didn’t even feel the local anaesthetic injections as he applied a numbing gel first. When finished, he explained the next steps for stage 2 and was happy to answer my many questions. All the staff I met were polite and friendly, giving me a reassuring smile and a hello. Knowledgeable, highly skilled, professional and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience: A lovely experience for my two daughters. Iaonnis was fantastic! My eldest daughter needed a small filling and was quite anxious about it, however Iaonnis was calm and took all her worries away making her experience an enjoyable and painless one. Fantastic experience: I was referred by my usual dentist for root canal treatment. The dentist - Will - explained clearly what the treatment would involve and that gave me confidence to proceed. The treatment was complicated by the affected tooth having been capped. During the entire treatment done in one go both Becky and Will kept me informed of the progress. 48 hours on my mouth is back to normal. I can recommend this dental practice.

From personalised service to excellent orthodontic and hygiene treatments, Towngate Dental Practice delivers top-notch care in a warm, welcoming environment. Highly recommended! Full review: One of the first things I did when moving into the area, a little over two years ago, was to find a good dental practice. After researching several, I decided upon Towngate Dental Practice, a decision I don't regret. Since registering, I’ve had regular check-ups with Will and hygienist appointments with Kate. Will has a wonderful chairside manner, always friendly and approachable, which makes each visit stress-free. Kate has provided me with some really helpful tips to improve my oral care routine. Following her advice, I’ve added a few extra tools to my daily routine, and the results have been excellent. Will earlier this year recommended orthodontic treatment with Ben, and I have ended up with Spark Aligners. The whole process so far has been really smooth, and I've been very impressed by Ben's approach thus far. He explains everything in detail and answers every question that I ask of him, ensuring that I fully understand what happens during the course of the treatment and beyond. On my last visit, I was greeted by name in the corridor by Jessica, the Treatment Coordinator, as she walked past me. It is little touches like this that mean a lot, and make the patient feel valued. It is evident that the team at Towngate take pride in delivering a personal and attentive service. Something else that has stood out to me is how Will and Ben interact with trainee dental nurses during my appointments, it speaks volumes about the practice as a whole. From the outside it looks like a healthy workplace where learning and development are genuinely encouraged. Lastly, a special thanks to the front desk team: Kathleen, Emma, and Michelle, who are always inviting, organised, and professional. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellent patient care make sure everything runs just right. Towngate Dental Practice is truly outstanding-from the quality of care through to the friendly and warm atmosphere. Fantastic experience: Ioaniss & Hannah were brilliant today. I’m a very nervous patient who has avoided dentists for more years than i would like to admit. Today was treatment day -filling. Consisted of pain free numbing, very gentle manner. No bits floating round my mouth either. Ioaniss & Hannah work so well together. No tears from me today. Fantastic experience: I visited the practice today for the first time, after being referred by my own dentist for specialist root canal treatment. I was treated by Will and his assistant Marie. I have to say, that the experience was first class. It was a lengthy process for one tooth, but Will's expertise was evident from the outset. For anyone needing this type of treatment, I would highly recommend coming here. I experienced absolutely zero pain or discomfort and would not hesitate another visit if required. Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Towngate enough. Ben is an absolute miracle worker who used invisible braces to correct my bite. My teeth and now also perfectly straight and the bleaching process is the best I've ever used. The final touch was composite bonding for the edges. The final look is astonishing but natural looking. Positive experience: I can only leave a 4 star review today after my regular, routine check up. My original appointment was 11am and I was contacted 2 days beforehand to bring it forward to 10.50am, which wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, I then had to wait over 20mins before I was seen. That, in itself, wouldn't normally be a problem but I was feeling anxious about the appointment and found that sitting in the waiting room with the background noises from the TV, a radio being played in another Consulting room, and hearing staff, talking in another room about problems they were having with their water, didn't help to alleviate my anxiety. This doesn't negate from the fact that the service from all the staff is wonderful and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I understand that delays can be unpredictable but please be mindful that for some, these delays can become overwhelming and increase anxiety levels.

Fantastic experience: Honestly I couldn’t recommend them more - I made the best choice coming here - they always helpful - friendly - honestly they are so so caring and respectful and nice to speak to - they will help with you with any query and questions you have. I will never ever change dentist honestly 100% so happy that I am with them, they haven’t took me off there list when the NHS failed me and took me off the list - but Towngate dental practice when above and beyond. The receptions people are superb - caring - friendly , great to talk to everyday so cheerful. honestly also my dentist she is amazing - so kind and explains before to you what she going to do and what treatment and she gives out good advice. Very highly recommended this dentist the best decision I ever made and I’m sticking to it - never leaving.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had an appointment with Mandy and Michelle the other day. They were both absolutely fantastic. Very professional and kind, taking the time to explain the process and providing recommendations on how to improve. Dr Taylor and Dr Trill are also incredible professionals, along with the dental nurses. The treatments are usually on point, no pain and they take the time to walk you throughout what they do and why. Finally, the team at reception is always welcoming and friendly. Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Towngate Dental Practice enough!!! I have had such an amazing experience with the whole team. Jess helped me to set up an appointment with Ben when I first became interested in getting braces last year, she provided me with all the information, costing etc. I got metal braces fitted in October 2024 by Ben, and had regular appointments with Ben who was always super friendly and helpful. The whole team has always been amazing, helpful and friendly. Now I have got my braces off, I am so happy with the results, I feel a lot more confident in my smile! Fantastic experience: New customer to the practice and the customer experience is above and beyond what I have experienced in the past. The reception staff were super helpful and knowledgeable and Kate the hygienist did an amazing job on cleaning my teeth and gave loads of tips on how to keep them clean. My check up with the dentist was very thorough with the latest technology in equipment again a very knowledgeable job done that my normal dentist never picked up on. Fantastic experience: Towngate Dental have actually changed my life. Or at least my teeth. When I first joined and I rang to make the appointment, I was in tears with how traumatised I was from previous experiences, like many others, I'm terrified of the dentist. When I turned up for my check up, they spoke me through what treatment I would need, and we ended the session because I was crying too much. I reluctantly returned for my first of many fillings And it was a breeze. A few tears, as expected, but otherwise everyone was so nice. I felt like the Queen of Sheba, especially when the dental assistant offered to hold my hand. I spoke to Mandy during my cleaning and she helped me with dental hygiene and has been giving me complements ever since. Dr Garyfallia Strati is my dentist and it's weirdly a pleasure to be in her company. She's been with me through two teeth extractions and about 5 fillings. In fact, I'm going back for more next week! She makes me feel comfortable and at ease. When replacing some fillings which werent done correctly, I felt like I had a new smile, she did such a good job! I've had so many compliments from people. Coming to Towngate is honestly the best thing I've ever done for my mental health and my teeth. Even if you are scared of the dentist. This is the best one and they will look after you.
