Belmont Park Dental and Implant Care

Negative experience: I have been attending this practice since the 1970s, back when it was run by Dr Simpson — a time when professionalism, respect, and loyalty were core values of the service. Sadly, under its current management, that standard has been completely lost. What I’ve experienced recently is nothing short of disgraceful. The conduct of certain staff members has been unprofessional, dismissive, and — in my honest view — discriminatory. When I attempted to raise genuine concerns, I was met with defensiveness and a complete lack of accountability. As a Black man, I’m tired of being stereotyped as “aggressive” simply for standing up for myself or expressing justified frustration over poor service. This kind of lazy, outdated thinking has no place in a healthcare setting — especially not in multicultural London. It’s even more disappointing given my decades of loyalty to this practice. It’s clear that long-standing patients no longer matter, and those of us with the courage to speak up are treated like the problem. I expected better — and I won’t stay silent about how I’ve been treated. If you’re looking for a practice that values every patient equally and upholds a duty of care, I would urge you to think twice before trusting this one.

Fantastic experience: Aidah and Julia were amazing; I have needs (autism/adhf), physical health issues and suffer with depression. Often when in low periods I can neglect myself and in the past at other surgeries I have been judged and left in tears feel ashamed. Aidah and Julia were so kind and amazing they didn't make me feel embarrassed and intact totally understood. They were super supportive and I think they are a credit to Belmont Park. They also work great as a team and I cannot explain enough how appreciative I am for them. Please pass on my thanks and I definitely feel they should be recognised for their hard work xx

Fantastic experience: I love this dental practice. The dentists and the receptionists are all so friendly and welcoming. The surgery itself is very clean and has a nice feel to it and the location is so convenient also. I have been going for several years and I’m always so pleased with the results and feel very comfortable. I have had experience with many of the dentists there but my regular dentist is Dharaka and I always enjoy a visit because she makes me feel very welcome and at ease. I am so pleased with her latest work on my new Zircona crown. The surgery was pain-free and the results are perfect! Like a real tooth! I look forward to my next check up in 6 months and would recommend this practise to anyone considering a visit.- (I was meant to post this a while back but it didn’t go through for some reason )

Fantastic experience: A remarkably relaxed experience! Two extractions carried out with the absolute minimum of fuss and bother. Dental Surgeon Maya explains procedures and options very clearly, with a thoroughly professional yet lovely, friendly and engaging manner. She then carries out the work with the technique of a Master and the gentle hands of an Angel. Exemplary in all respects. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: It is fair to say that I am a nervous patient and therefore finding the right dentist is particularly important to me. I confirm that I have found that with Belmont and that positives are apparent throughout the team. Firstly the reception staff are pleasant, efficient and helpful. Then Ross and Andi (hygenist) showing great skills and patience with me over the last few years. In addition, Ross has recently guided me through some complex works that have taken a number of months to complete. Firstly the end result is extremely pleasing and better than I could have imagined. Just as importantly Ross has guided and supported me through the entire process, with particular appreciation of my nervousness. In additional, it is clear that Ross is exceptionally skilled in this area.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment for 3 fillings with Bremla wasn't looking forward to it (who would be) Everthing was explained to me clearly also told me she would stop at anytime if i needed a break her dental nurse (Pooja Gurrung) was also very professional had everthing to hand that Bremla needed and it was all done in less than an hour.. Very pleased and now pain free

I have attended 3x for a hygienist appointment with Mrs Andreza (Andie) Tonello she always does an amazing job She has a warm and welcoming approach, explains everything and encourages you to keep up with the same brushing techniques for keeping those perfect molars She does an amazing job and I always feel like I have a brand new set of teeth…I don’t want to eat anything afterwards The Receptionists are welcoming and professional. Will continue to attend this practice.

Negative experience: Reception team are either super lovely or super rude and when you pay hundreds of pounds for a service, it is not acceptable to be spoken to rudely. To the nice reception staff - you’re doing a great job and I do not want to tar you all with the same brush. This will be the last time I have treatment at this surgery

Negative experience: Awful treatment. I was told I would be fast tracked to have a tooth extraction under sedation as it would not come out in the practice, I hadn't heard back after 2 months and when I called the referral hadn't been received on the other side. The new referral got sent, when I arrived at the specialist practice today they told me they do not offer sedation and I was unable to endure the procedure. My tooth is incredibly painful again so I will more than likely be starting my 3rd round of antibiotics since October.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here for nearly 10 years. I have closer options now but I still come here for dentistry and hygienist appointments because the care is excellent and professional. Most recently I'm seen by Ross Lewis and he expertly carried out four wisdom tooth extractions on two different occasions, and I'm currently towards the end of an Invisalign treatment. I've had regular hygienist appointments and they always make sure I'm comfortable. I take good care of my teeth but they're always stain free and look great afterwards! I like that you can book online. Highly recommended for NHS and private treatments.

Fantastic experience: WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION Ross Lewis was communicative, considerate and clearly knowledgeable explaining every step of the removal process. The procedure was quick (i think about 15 minutes in total for my two wisdom teeth that were being removed!) and painless and Ross made me feel very at ease. Ross was clear in outlining the required post-procedure care, which has led to a successful recovery period.

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Ross more highly - from removing an impacted wisdom tooth of mine, to checking all my children's teeth and taking the time to teach them the importance of looking after their teeth from the beginning. The service and care we all received was fantastic!

Fantastic experience: I am generally a nervous dental patient. Belmont Park Dental Care in Lewisham have helped me to overcome much of this fear through their understanding, superb support and high quality work. My confidence in this practice and particularly my Dentist, Kia, has done much to make me more comfortable with the whole experience.

Negative experience: I’m an existing patient here and love the dentists and hygienists who see me. But I just had a very rude phone call with a receptionist when I was trying to organise an emergency checkup. Not sure who it is, usually they are very lovely, but it left a bad impression. For example, I had asked nicely on the phone, “are there any later morning checkups” and was responded with “if there were any later ones I would’ve told you” in a sassy comment. Not sure if anyone has experienced something similar.

Fantastic experience: After having a stroke I was scared to come back to the dentist. However Ross has made me feel at ease during my dental work (veneers and crowns). He is a caring and very professional dentist and would recommend him to anyone having significant work done. Janice Saunders

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of having Ross as a dentist for approximately 7 years. He is able to carry out my NHS and my private dental work, which can provide options, all carried out to a high standard and skill including some intricate tooth repair and some teeth straightening, which I am very pleased with.

Negative experience: My dentist Darika is always a pleasure to talk to and is very good, but the Asian receptionist needs to work on her customer service and respect.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended Belmont Park by my sister and have been going there for years now and can't praise them highly enough. The receptionists are always so helpful and kind. The dentists, assistants and hygienists are all friendly, professional and take the time to explain and discuss all treatment options. I am prepared to travel quite some distance in order to attend this practice due to their expertise. I recently had some implants and I am really pleased with the results.

The actual process went well and everything was being explained as they worked on my teeth. As someone who is very nervous coming to the dentist, due to previous experiences, I felt no pain at all, even with the drilling and injections! Looking forward to my next appointment now.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend this surgery. Very unfriendly reception team that make you feel like an inconvenience. After a bad experience I moved to Dental Beauty in Lee and every visit is wonderful, excellent customer service and brilliant care. My partner just had a similarly bad experience at Belmont Park dentist and is also moving to Dental Beauty as a result.

Fantastic experience: Wouldn't change them for the world! I always feel safe, welcomed and put at ease whenever I come to the practice, which helps me be even more calm when getting my teeth done. My children now enjoy coming too, which I just love as I have been coming since I was a child also. The care, support, advice, friendliness, understanding, making me feel safe and comfortable, is what keeps me coming back every single time, they are brilliant and I recommend everyone to go really : )

Fantastic experience: Over the years I have been to various different dental practices and this is by far the best practice I have been to. I initially booked in as I wanted a second opinion on some dental treatment and a friend suggested I book in to see Rumit at Belmont Park. I was nervous based on prior experiences that I've had with dentists - that had always left me feeling like I'd been told off. Rumit and his team made me feel immediately at ease - taking the time to listen to my concerns and to provide advice on the best course of treatment. I've visited two dentists at the practice (Rumit and Kia) and they have both been amazing - calm, reassuring and the best bit - pain free! I trust the advice they provide and no longer fear a visit to the dentist! Thank you team.

Negative experience: Called to make a private hygienist appointment and experienced poor customer service. I had to repeat my date of birth and name over ten times. I was initially told my registration wasn’t recorded but after they had a few other searches it appeared. The appointment I had tried to book online had disappeared so I decided to book at a different practice. However, the phone was then put down on me without any warning. With the customer service I experienced, I wouldn’t have wanted to be treated at Belmont but it leaves a poor taste.

Fantastic experience: Relatively new patient at Belmont Park but I’m so happy that I changed dentist to this practice. The receptionist are welcoming and attentive to my requirements and always ensure I have an appointment slot that meets my needs. My Dentist Kia is professional and I believe his work is of the highest standard also the dentist’s assistants that I have had have been very good. The lady even held my hand which I thought was very nice. 10:10 from me

Fantastic experience: I suffer from very bad anxiety, and I'm always very nervous when attending dental appointments. My dentist (Kia) was absolutely amazing in making me feel calm and reassured. He also commented on how far I'd come in the past few years in terms of being brave enough to book and attend appointments. The receptionist was also very polite and helpful. The practice is always clean and hygienic.

Negative experience: I came here to get fillings and I was left paralysed on my left side of my face not only did they put too much anesthesia in my nerve but it was overdosed and now damaged on top of that I've also been made aware that the fillings they put in were temporary after paying £££ for permanent whites
