Fantastic experience: Andrew Tomalin is a very good dentist, and very patient with me as I have problems with things in my mouth, I have been attending this practice for 70 years.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for a good many years now and I can say from lived experience the professionalism and personal proficiency received from Jessica Fuller (hygienist) and Margret De Verteuil (dentist) is second to none. The practise staff are also among the most professional. For most, a visit to the dentist will not be high up there on the list of things to write a Google review about, but the team at Stedham House make this a most deserving, willing, and probably overdue, >5+ contribution!

Fantastic experience: I did a review a while back not too long after that horrible Covid 19 fiasco. Several years later and Liz (receptionist) is always very polite and friendly. Fantastic experience: Lovely dental surgery - clean, friendly, experienced and overall trustworthy. Whilst I won’t remove a star the pricing structure is strange - a quote at the dentist is more for a crown than the online table suggests - some other elementa are super pricey (over £2,500 for an implant).

June 2025 - Another excellent appointment; if it wasn’t for the this level of service and treatment from the Stedham House practice, I wouldn’t do a round trip of nearly 200 miles!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had a tooth extraction by Stuart White, who has looked after my teeth for many years, and was told the tooth was out without me realising it. Highly skilled and professional, He even managed my 6 monthly check up whilst the local anesthetic took hold. The support nurse was superb and Liz on reception extremely friendly and helpful. It seems the ethos of the practice is to be happy, positive and cheerful.

Roll on a few years and we now live in WALES - we STILL drive back to see Mr White - and will continue to do so. Fantastic experience: My husband, Graham Boyd, was one of Andrew’s earliest patients. This must be at least 30 years ago and he has remained a patient ever since, now travelling from the Isle of Wight, which is a 168 mile round trip. He has absolute confidence in Andrew and intends to continue with the practice, as long as is practical. A genuinely professional and friendly service is always provided.

Fantastic experience: I have attended Stedham House Dental Surgery since 1968, between 2010 and 2024 I lived Switzerland but returned to the UK for my dental check ups and treatments at the Stedham House Dental Surgery. I have now returned to the UK and will continue to use Stedham House Dental Surgery. I cannot give I higher recommendation than that.

Fantastic experience: I always get first class attention when I visit Stedham House. I am treated with respect and courtesy.

Positive experience: Impressed with the protocols and communications to patients; during "lock down 1 & 2", in advance of attending an appointment, during the appointment. Only problem was original appointment was scheduled for a week after "lock down 1" commenced in early April however had to call in November to find out why not re-arranged and was informed had "fallen through the cracks" in re-arranging. Once aware of the error, they arranged for an appointment as soon as was possible.

Fantastic experience: My regular check-up was arranged and carried out professionally and without any difficulty. The staff (Mr White and colleagues) were very friendly and helpful, as has been my experience over many years.

Positive experience: Partial fixed dentures were placed. My experience was great with the doctor, Mr White, however, he didn't mention when I went for the final check up that he was going to do hygienist with me. I had mentioned to him that I had recently had hygienist and still he went on with it causing me additional expense and pain. I reacted very badly to the hygiene session the next day sadly and was in a lot of pain. The dentures are good, but, I keep chewing my lower gum since its done, which hurts. I think he has re-aligned which causes this. He should have mentioned this during the consultation.

Fantastic experience: I was faced with an important hospital appointment, which clashed with my six monthly check up date in two weeks time. I phoned the office to re-arrange my dental appointment and the receptionist was most helpful. To my great surprise, she offered me an appointment on the same day as my phone call. All the dental work was carried out to the usual very high standard, together with a report from my dentist, which was required for my hospital appointment. With service like that, it is no wonder that I have been registered with this practice for nearly 50 years. Well done again and thank you.

Fantastic experience: Lost a cap on boxing day. Mailed the surgery late that night. Had a call before 9am next day, seen, treated and out before 10.15. Great service.

Fantastic experience: Attended surgery for a small filling to remove decay picked up by a previous x-ray. The surgeon was diligent and measured with each step in the treatment explained. I have always had first class treatment from this sugery and would have no heitation in recommending them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Stedham House since I moved to Surbiton 12 years ago. On moving house away from Surbiton two years ago I kept using their services. I have found them excellent for regular checkups and work, and very responsive when I have needed short notice emergency appointments. Quality of work is outstanding. Magazines in the Art Deco waiting room are also first rate!

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is an example of excellent healthcare practice, from communication to care, all staff display the sort of professionalism increasingly rare in this day and age. Their non interventionist approach builds confidence and when work is required it is thoroughly explained and performed to the highest and kindest of standards. I wish all interactions with healthcare providers were like this, and as a Professor within the healthcare system I have witnessed a lot of provision, few experiences either as observer or receiver match Steadham House’s approach and care.

Fantastic experience: Margaret has been our family dentist for over 30 years, since her time in Thames Ditton. As she will testify, I hate going to the dentist. I cannot fathom how it is beyond the ability of modern science to replace the instrument of torture that removes the build up on your teeth! But then, what do I know? Fantastic experience: Update (May 9, 2024) Excellent, unrushed and friendly service. We don't always get that from the medical profession these days. I left feeling confident I had been in good hands. Original Review I was very happy with my first appointment at Stedham house. The dentist I saw had a warm 'chairside' manner and was patient while I struggled a little to cope with x-ray plates. Best of all he performed a scale and polish as part of the main appointment. I know we need to have separate sessions with hygienists, but I still left with that smooth and clean feeling in my mouth that you just can't reproduce at home.

Negative experience: Managed to get an emergency appointment very quickly ( next day) and my dental problem was resolved very professionally. Steadham House surgery is what I would term old school - efficiently run , excellent dentists and with a very welcoming and caring outlook. Expensive? possibly, as not NHS but worth the money if you put your health / teeth as a primary focus .
