Fantastic experience: Dr Agata was amazing, easily the best and friendliest dentist I have ever met. I quite dislike visiting dentist due to trauma as a child; however, Dr Agata made me feel at ease and in control. She is also very diligent and a perfectionist. Thank you so much! Hope to see her next time too.

Positive experience: Lovely service in general. One thing I had an issue with was the receptionist i first encountered when I arrived. Quite rude and condescending. The dentist and his assistant were very professional. Upon leaving, I made a point of not interacting with the first receptionist- but made my second payment with another, she was very polite and helped with any queries I had. Overall a great experience- just a few customer service skills recommended.

I actually don’t mind going because of the great care I get, and the feeling I have of my dental health being in great hands and the advice I am given. Totally recommend Lewisham Dental Practice which is why they have been my own dentists and hygienists of choice for decades!!

Klelia is very good and professional and explained everything to me before and even during the procedure. She has done a great job and also helped me with a sensitive tooth that has settled down now thanks to her advice. 5 stars and I will visit more regularly now instead of leaving it for 10 years!

Dr Mafi was firm, honest, and incredibly thorough. He broke everything down so clearly, he was very no fluff, just facts, support, and solutions. He made sure I understood exactly what was going on with my gums and teeth, and more importantly, how I could take control of my oral health moving forward. I left feeling educated, empowered, and motivated. I went back and met Luis, the hygienist, was equally brilliant. Luis is so kind, calm, and patient with all my questions. He made me feel completely at ease during the clean and was genuinely reassuring throughout. His gentle approach and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. Negative experience: Dr. Sahara Hussain cancelled my son's appointments twice, off sick last minute, so we got cancellation notice couple of hours ahead. Then the admin texted us again your routine dental check is due to invite us book appointment. This is v unprofessional and disrespectful, treating ppl like idiots. It's a badly managed dental practice to let same thing happened twice...Has she got any displinary written warning from her employer yet?

Negative experience: Firstly, huge respect to Charmaine, understanding and respectable. Her customer service is superb. Lana please take note. This review is nothing to do with the dental service.. I think the practice is unbelievably good. I don’t usually leave negative reviews on individuals However, I’ve now reached a point of frustration. I’ve been to the dentist 3 or 4 times within the last 2 months. I have continuously had confrontations with Lana (the receptionist) she speaks to people like a complete piece of trash on the bottom of her shoe. She isn’t willing to find out information, yet chases money. She didn’t take the payment after treatment, as I was asked to come back to replace temporary fillings with permanent fillings. I assumed that I would pay when the treat is completed. However, Lana called up and demanded payment, furthermore, she spoke in a tone, as if I had walked out not trying to pay. She’s rude and disrespectful.. the NHS really needs to think about her employment, as LANA gives a sour taste in the mouth of a very good dentist that I’ve attended for almost 25 years. In the future, I will refuse to have any communication with her, and I would hope she doesn’t further communicate with me. (Lana act your wage, you’re not above and better than anyone) Take this as a formal complaint.

Positive experience: They'd be five stars if they had an online booking and saved your info so you didn't have to fill out those forms every time. The staff are all friendly and professional though and I trust the dentists and hygienists.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful and courteous as always. And exactly on time at 11.40 for the appointment. Dr Kahdim explained what was to be done and checked I was comfortable throughout. We then discussed my next visit and also how better to use the interdental brushes to enhance cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I am more afraid of the dentist than anything else in the world. You could describe it as a phobia. I started attending Lewisham Dental Practice and it has changed my life. The administrative staff are just lovely, and the dentists (I have had treatment from three of them) are brilliant. The standard of dentistry is top notch, and they are fantastic at keeping you calm, even with difficult procedures. Dr Hilmi built up my four front teeth, which had been worn away by over brushing, and I now have beautiful front teeth, which allow me to smile again. And they were not ridiculously expensive. If you have any fear of going to the dentist, then this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Today, I had an appointment with Dr. Nuri Husein Abdula. It was my first time going to a dentist in this country, and to be honest, I’ve always had a fear of dentists. But believe me, he was like an angel. All my hesitation and fear disappeared within seconds. I needed to have a tooth pulled, and I didn’t even realize when it was done! I want to sincerely thank him again from here. He is a wonderful dentist, and I wholeheartedly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: The best dental practice I have used by far. I have seen two dentists since I registered - Dr Fries and Dr Odele - and both have been extremely kind, gentle and helpful. I used to suffer from needle phobia, but my current dentist, Dr Odele, is excellent at injections, making the invasive deep cleaning I have had pretty much painless. I only wish I’d known about this practice earlier and I might now be far happier with my teeth.

Fantastic experience: A really great dental practice. Sophie is a wonderful dentist, extremely knowledgeable, explains every step of treatment and how to maintain healthy teeth. I had 2 composite fillings carried out (not for cosmetic purposes but to save my teeth) and they look wonderful- 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all day long and would throughly recommend both Sophie and the super Hygienist Kate who again is extremely proficient knowledgeable and her advice to as to how best maintain your oral hygiene and procedures are again 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Fantastic experience: Haven’t went in a while but I came back this last couple weeks to complete a route canal. My usual dental for years yusra who was amazing weren’t there anymore however another lovely lady named Sophie carried out my route canal treatment and I’m really pleased at the work she done.. removed the pain and I can bite again properly. sometimes I’m abit skeptical regarding using a new dentist however, she was lovely and great at her job so I’m really pleased. I had abit of plaque/stain at the lower bit of my teeth and she recommended a hygienist which I went today and her name was Kate. Once again a wonderful lady with amazing good energy really put a smile on my face. I can say I was shocked at how well she cleaned my teeth alongside her assistant and it has made me more confident and happy. Amazing team down at Lewisham dental practice including the wonderful receptionists. 5star certainly recommend great experience from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. Quick registering me as an NHS patient. Saw me for a check up within a week. I needed a filling and it was done quickly and (relatively) painlessly.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient and friendly consultation, all comprehensively explained, further review scheduled. Could not expect any better treatment! Today I had a regular check up with a dentist new to me. She was very friendly and helpful, explained everything very clearly and completed the treatment very quickly. She definitely lives up to the very high standards set by this practice. This week I needed a root canal treatment and an alteration to my lower denture. The aenastic worked very well and as the root canal was very deep, took quite some time to complete. The next couple of days I had to use Paracetamol, as the pain would wake me up. When I got back my altered lower denture on the third day though, the pain almost disappeared completely and I have been able to eat solid food again since. Overall, I have to say that the dentist who treated me was very gentle, friendly, competent and helpful, explaining the entire procedure beforehand and throughout and also prescribing some antibiotics/antifungal medication to clear up any residual infection. Many thanks to the Dentist and her assistant! Came in today for another regular check up. High praise for my regular dentist!

Fantastic experience: My appointment was with the Hygienist. She remembered me from my previous visit and greeted me warmly. She asked how had I been since my last visit. Then she asked me how well was I managing my hygiene care. After which she explained what she was going to do and asked if I had any questions (as she always does). At every step and afterwords gave advice on how to maintain my gum health. She was warm, kind and professional as always.

Negative experience: Apart from something that I have already said below and they dealt with it, here’s why I wouldn’t ever recommend the practice to anyone. They called me rude and I needed up crying in front of my own children of how much hurt and judged they made me feel over a phone call they and I had in my dealing with a very serious and difficult root canal situation. They are not aware of mental illness. How can you then be put the phone down for it and then on top of that all, management and reception staff kept backing each other up really, no remorse, no emotion shown. Extremely disappointed ☹️ and wouldn’t want to get back to treating myself again. Am now seeking another practice anyhow. Avoid the stress. It’s gonna reflect on any other part of the body so not worth on the long run. Extremely poor service and all refused to the point the staff couldn’t help me with lift voluntarily especially with my little children They gave me an excuse and haven’t dealt with the issues that I’ve raised.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending this surgery for many years. They offer an efficient service, with appointment's accessible within a short time period. The reception staff are very friendly and the facilties are clean and welcoming. I was treated by Dr Anira Patel. She was expectional, providing me with holistic guidance on my dental care. It is rare to be treated by a dentist who considers the full picture of a patients health. She was very personable and caring in her approach, offering sound dental advice. I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I had really bad toothache they helped me and I got 3 fillings aswel . I'm so comfortable when I'm there. They are all so friendly and you feel you are a priority to them. You walk in and they immediatly stop what they are doing and greet you.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I visited in uk after 2007,for my dental check up as I fell down in the bus stop whilst running to catch the replacement bus.when I fell down mainly my left wrist and my frontier tooth were severe pain .In the dental practice all the staffs doctors were nice and treated me very well.I will be continuesly visiting for my dental check up in future. Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this excellent dental practice for the past three years, and everyone who works there, from the receptionists to the senior dentists, deserves praise for their quality of care. My teeth have always given me trouble, and I've tried several different practices in the past. My dental health has significantly improved because of the work of my dentist. Dr. Abisola has taken care of various aspects of my teeth, including feelings, extractions, root canal treatment, referrals when necessary, and most recently the repair of damaged teeth. I am impressed by her meticulous approach to all the issues and her patience in going over everything in depth and discussing it over with me before any action. The least I can do in return is to provide this feedback, as I couldn't be happier with the results.

Negative experience: I was told I needed five teeth fixed, apparently they had bad decay, was shown X-rays of the teeth. I had one done at a cost of £150, I was due to return, thought better of it, went home, which is in the Scottish highlands and went to my dentist to be told my teeth are perfect I have no decay, I was shown X-rays which were taken there and then and my filling which was done here was a first class mess, and total slap dash job; I came here as I had severe pain in my tooth, I also explained I had MS and was in London as my dad was extremely ill. Not happy at all

Negative experience: The hygienist was too rough with me. Really tugging on my bottom lip whilst telling me to relax!! I felt his force was too excessive for me. I require a more gentle approach. I’m not sure what is worst that hygienist experience or my smear. I think if i go back i’ll see one of the lady hygienists. In my experience they are so much kinder with their approach.

Negative experience: Many thanks for LDP fitting me in at Short Notice... I followed Shahara Hussain's advice after performing a temporary filling, I did not eat for 24hrs to be sure and as I started to eat my Spagehtti Bolognese on the first chew it broke!!... Great!!

Fantastic experience: I have recently completed a course of treatment with Dr Chawich, which involved two extractions, implants and crowns. I am used to helpful staff and great treatment at Lewisham Dental Practice, but Dr Chawich was in a league of his own. Highly skilled, dexterous and knowledgeable, he is also a very nice guy. It is not much fun having a lot of dental work done, but I would like to say a big thank you to Dr Chawich and everyone at Lewisham Dental Practice for making it as easy (and painless) as possible.

Thanks again LDP feedback Only two things I dislike is having to always complete the forms everytime you visit for appointments or via text sent via sms. Fair enough if someones health has changed and needs to be updated but we shouldn’t have to go through the whole form when nothing has changed in health wise. 2. When you suffer from forgetting your appointments, I do not like the system generated letters how they will dismiss you from the dental practise if you miss a 3rd appointment. I think this should be considered very carefully and they should take in Consideration of people who suffer from any type of memory loss, forgetfulness due to health issues or illness. This letter is very sensitive and should be not sent, you feel threatened by it! You need to consider patients vulnerability. But other wise good dentist.thank you

I had a check up with Dr Husein Abdula who made sure to answer all my questions and was very attentive. Great service for a very affordable price. Fantastic experience: My mother enquired about getting me registered as an NHS patient as I am a university student and had recently moved to the area. They did this immediately and offered me an appointment for within a few days. They resolved my issue quickly and offered great advice re dental health.

Fantastic experience: My crown came off on Friday,I tried for 2 days to get an emergency appointment,which I did get one on Tuesday.I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time.The Dentist lady was really nice,calm and quick.It only took 10 minutes for my crown to be re-cemented.I would recommend this Dentist surgery because all staff are very polite,pleasant and they are very reassuring.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience - x rays in the morning and a quick visit in the afternoon for a white filing. Very good dentist, explained what will happen and what options are available for my tooth. Very please with the treatment that lasts for longer than estimated and feels good.

Positive experience: I went to an emergency dentist elsewhere over the weekend with bad toothache, and booked an emergency appointment with LDP (my usual practice) as soon as I could, as advised by the emergency dentist, for more lasting treatment. After paying a second emergency appointment fee, and not seeing my usual dentist there, I got no more from LDP than I had from the emergency dentist. I was told I needed to book an appointment with my usual dentist at LDP to get any lasting treatment. The earliest appointment with my dentist is 4 weeks away, I still have toothache and I am no further forward than when I left the original emergency dentist at the weekend. Should I be impressed? Update - shortly after posting my review (and long before the response posted here), I received a call from the Practice Manager and we managed to resolve this with a much quicker appointment with my usual dentist. Offending tooth removed, no further agony. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Dr Anira is a phenomenal dentist! I really appreciate that she was attentive, thorough and really listened to my concerns as a nervous patient. She took her time to explain each step of the treatment plan and ensured I was comfortable and relaxed during my tooth extraction. In my experience, previous dentists elsewhere don't provide sufficient time for numbing to take effect before rushing to insert needles. Dr Anira was patient and caring throughout. The hygienist explained step by step as she conducted her examination and throughout the cleaning prompted me as to where and what she was doing. I felt extremely comfortable and will recommend to all my colleagues. Keep up the great work.

Negative experience: I have been with this dentist for more than 5 years and the treatment I received at my last appointment was absolutely shocking and upsetting. Stay away from this dentist, I had a awful experience I could have cried because of how the dentist Vanisha Patel spoke to me during my emergency appointment, I had travelled an hour to get there only to have been turned back. I had found out from this particular dentist that Kas (her collegue) had got my crown made wrong 2 years ago, and it had come out 5 times since which made me very upset as finding childcare was hard enough for me to constantly be travelling this far however Vanisha's attitude towards this was absolutely horrendous, she had no sympathy no apology and made out that I was in the wrong. The way she spoke to me was horrible, If there was a camera this could have been watched and been in my favour as I will get this escalated and taken further because no one deserves to be treated the way I did. I will be writing an email to the manager in detail about this incident that took place

Fantastic experience: Have been a long term client of this practice and always treated with patience and respect. Cracked tooth filling was replaced by one of the newer practice dentists with efficiency and care. This is an excellent, professional practice which I would recommend to all.

Positive experience: Very good, ensure receptionist confirms both your check up and following hygienist appointment on arrival. Otherwise, you run the risk of missing an appointment as it appears you have not attended.

Fantastic experience: Lewisham dental practice is as good as the practitioner you are lucky to have . Initially I’ve started my treatment with them several years back with a different dentist lady that I was not happy with …. Constant battle of opinion and struggling to get my point across when it came to what I would like done etc I was lucky enough one day to ask for a change of doctor and I came across dr Nishma , who is the most perfectionist , caring and professional dentist i have ever met ! She is one amazing dentist lady ! Please Lewisham dental make sure you do everything you can to keep this young lady in your practice !
