Fantastic experience: I recently had composite bonding done by Dr Patel and couldn’t be happier with the results. I came in with concerns about uneven gaps between my teeth and staining which was affecting my confidence particularly as I was getting married very soon. Dr Patel incredibly professional kind and attentive. He took time to explain the whole process including benefits and limitations, and answered all my questions. The process was quick, completely painless and the results were immediate. I was amazed at how natural and flawless my teeth looked afterwards, the colour match was perfect and my smile was more balanced. I was impressed with Dr Patel’s attention to detail. Negative experience: High pressure sales! Very happy with previous owners but since being taken over by AR Smiles every visit feels like a visit to a back street car dealers with pressure selling. Last visit I was advised to have a replacement filling even though x-ray and visually it appeared fine. I suffered no pain either. Dentist pushed 3 times for me to have it done during the visit to which I politely said no each time. Final comment from dentist was “I wouldn’t want it in my mouth”. On another visit the Hygienist pulled out a filling by mistake and then denied it. My dad had a similar experience where dentist again tried to push for costly investigatory work even though he was experiencing no issues with the crown. He is in his late 80s so doesn’t want unnecessary treatment nor the associated huge financial costs I get anxious every time I visit AR Smiles now, as I know I will have to fend off the constant upsell for unnecessary work. If dental work is recommended, other than getting a second independent oppion, how can I trust the dentist recommendation is a medical necessity or just non essential upsell. It feels like profits have overtaken true dental medical care.

Fantastic experience: I was taken on as a new NHS patient and managed to get an appointment the very next day. During my checkup it was pointed out that I'd require a filling, I was given two options, NHS (silver) or private (white), I didn't feel pressurised to take one option over the other.
