Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience. I broke a front tooth at lunchtime so called for an emergency appointment. I got one for 3:30 that day. Veronica examined me, explained what had caused it, and then fixed it. It was painless and she blended the new filling perfectly to match my teeth. So from breaking my tooth to being as good as new took under 3 hours!

Fantastic experience: -- UPDATED w/b 28 JULY 2025 -- I wanted to update this post and preface that the quality of the practice has remained the very best since my first visit. I returned this evening for a check-up with Dr. Sadé Kalsi and Samah and again, I absolutely enjoyed the consultation once again. Dr. Kalsi again was able to provide clear guidance on the progress of my teeth, describing best practices to maintain good oral health which I have been very grateful for over the past 6 months, and it has definitely given me a new lease of life. The teeth cleaning progress was done to the highest standard, with both Dr. Kalsi and Samah showing the best professional care in ensuring the process was as pain free as possible. As usual, the entire staff from the front of house to Dr. Kalsi and Samah were very friendly, easy to speak to and made the visit enjoyable as usual. I strongly would recommend any prospective patient to visit the practice and speak to Dr. Kalsi as I think she is, by far, the best dentist I've ever had since her knowledge, skill and personality is second to none. The experience was incredible: 10/10 once again (11/10, if it was possible) so for this, I would like to thank Dr. Kalsi and Samah for delivering a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I look forward to returning for the next check-up! -- February 2025 -- I had an appointment earlier this week with Dr. Sadé Kalsi and Viv and I thoroughly enjoyed the consultation. Dr. Kalsi highlighted her thorough knowledge of dental procedures, providing in-depth insight of the steps being taken while examining my teeth and displaying an exceptional level of friendliness, understanding and reassuring professionalism all at the same time. The results of both their work was also excellent, giving me unparalleled confidence post-consultation in the hands of top-standard care. The delivery of service extends also to the front-of-house staff who were friendly and easy to speak to. The staff at Westcombe Park I spoke to including Dr. Kalsi, Viv and the front-of-house staff were welcoming throughout, which coming from someone like myself working in a client-centric professional services environment really stood out to me as it mirrored the quality of service I deliver in my professional line of work and was a breath of fresh air to observe, whether the patient was an OAP or a parent with children. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the service provided - I highly recommend the practice to anyone interested and would like to extend my thanks to Dr. Kalsi and Viv alongside the team at Westbourne park. 10/10 experience, looking forward to returning for my next check-up! I’ve done various treatments( root canal, fillings, hygienist etc) with this practice and all had a positive outcome. Negative experience: Wow, so I haven't been to my dentist since 2021 (covid), finally got the courage to finally book an appointment, called them and asked if I was still on the books, I am, however I was then told, we are not taking new NHS patients (which i am now classed as due to the gap in not going), fine, but then she went on to say but we can take you privately. Funny that!! So my new dentist will not be a whytes as clearly they care about money more than their patients. Thanks guys, thanks.

As it has been over four years since your last NHS dental examination, and due to the extremely high demand for NHS dental care, patients who haven't attended within this timeframe are unfortunately removed from the NHS register.
We understand how this can be confusing, and we want to assure you that this is not about prioritising private care over our patients. It's simply a result of the limits placed on us by our NHS contract. As we're currently at full capacity under this contract, we offered a private option to ensure we could still provide care where possible.
We hope this helps to clarify the situation, and we genuinely wish you the best with your new dental provider. Should circumstances change in the future, we would be more than happy to welcome you back as an NHS patient.

Fantastic experience: This is an efficient and friendly dentist. It has several specialist practitioners. Appointments are usually kept to time. They give advice as well as treatment. They are good at ringing up if there is a problem (for example if there has been a delay in making a cap - which wouldn't be their fault). It is easy to park nearby.

Fantastic experience: I used to dread booking a dentist appointment but having seen Dr Arpita and Maggie for Hygienist cleans I never feel judged or uncomfortable. They always explain the process thoroughly and keep me informed of any next steps. Positive experience: I saw Maggie, the hygienist. Good treatment and explanation given. £25 for an air floss treatment! Plus why pay a deposit for an appointment which is in 4/6 months? On top of that, I’ve been a nhs patient for years with the practice but no longer one as my family and I have not used their services for 2 years!! Is this allowed!! I’m disappointed!!

We understand your concerns regarding the deposit and NHS registration. To clarify, the deposit is in place to secure long-term appointments and is fully deducted from the final balance at the time of your hygiene visit. This policy helps us manage our schedule and reduce missed appointments, especially given the high demand for our services.
Regarding NHS registration, due to NHS guidelines and the current high demand, patients who haven’t attended within the last two years are automatically removed from our NHS list. This ensures we can fairly allocate NHS appointments to those actively using the service. That said, we’d be more than happy to re-register you and your family as NHS patients once we’re able to take on new NHS patients again.

Positive experience: I have been going here for some time. I have not always had a great experience. As it’s often the case the bad experiences leave a mark. In this case I was given the wrong colour match on a semi tooth cap by a young male dentist. I’m still stuck with this colour- a treatment done privately. So not NHS cheap! When I asked to be given more information regarding implants they charged me £90 to have a quick 5 minute chat with the implant specialist. An Italian dentist that didn’t seem to be even keen to do it as his rhetoric was so negative. Their price was not even competitive and after all what I needed done has been accomplished by an implant specialist and was cheaper. Their NHS dentists are known to always want to drill into your teeth even when is not necessary. A few people I know complained of the same and have now left them and rather travel much further away to get their dental treatments.

Negative experience: My recent visit to the hygienist was almost traumatic! I checked in at reception on arrival and was called in relatively on time. On entering the treatment room, I was greeted by a man when I was expecting to see 'Maggie'! I responded by saying "You're not Maggie" and his response was "please take a seat" admittedly with a smile. I became aware that he was alone and did not have any assistance. He proceeded to start, but he was very hesitant and lacked confidence in what he was doing. I honestly wish I had removed myself and left, but ... Throughout the entire treatment, I was choking on the fluids in my mouth and had to ask to be allowed to spit, and also informed him that the suction was not doing its job. My face was covered in the backwash from the Airflow, which I had to request several times, as he kept telling me of the additional cost as though expecting it might be too expensive for me! I mentioned my dismay to the person taking my payment, and did not receive an acceptable explanation or apology. I should have been informed of the substitute hygienist and the possibility of cancellation either before or at the time of my arrival. I have been attending this dental surgery for decades and have never experienced such a lack of care and professionalism, and I genuinely hope this never happens again to anyone. I remain a loyal and trusting client!!

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous going but after my visit I must admit it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be .I had some sensitive teeth but as of today one day later I feel my .teeth feel better and will be going back for a second clean shortly would certainly recommend this dentist now
