S3 Dental Haywards Heath

Negative experience: This was our first visit to S3 Dental as NHS patients, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The dentist didn’t communicate clearly—she spoke very quickly and assumed we understood everything she was saying. I had to ask her to repeat things multiple times, and even then, it wasn’t easy to follow. The appointment felt rushed, and when treatment options were mentioned, we were immediately referred to another clinic without any explanation of what the NHS could cover or what our choices were. It felt like the focus was on moving quickly to the next patient rather than helping us understand our care. Overall, I didn’t feel well-informed or comfortable during the visit, and I wouldn’t recommend this clinic based on our experience.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time and appointment at S3 Dental. It is very spacious, clean, and modern. The receptionist’s were helpful and welcoming. I was seen on time by Dentist Kitty, she is so kind, made me feel at ease, introduced herself and the dental nurse to me. Very accommodating to my disability and had read my medical history prior to my arrival in the room, I was impressed by that. She knew I needed the chair to be as upright as possible and that I suffer with dizziness if reclined too quickly. So immediately I felt at ease. I then had a full dental examination with X-rays and a treatment plan was prepared with me there. I’m so pleased to finally find a great dentist and dental practice.

Fantastic experience: First appointment. I have a phobia of dentist which usually leads to full on panic attacks. Everyone was so lovely and patient. Full explanation of each step before doing anything and kept checking in to make sure I was okay to proceed. Professional courteous and caring. Very happy and am not feeling as anxious about my next appointment!

Positive experience: My first visit for an NHS checkup was mixed. The reception staff were quite blunt, and although the dentist was professional, it felt a little pushy when they recommended several extra treatments especially since my previous NHS dentist had said everything looked fine 6 months prior. That said, the facilities are lovely, and I’m hoping future visits feel more positive.

Fantastic experience: S3 Dental, and particurlarly Charles Viggor, have been my 'go to' for more years than I care to remember. This is because the patient service and the technical expertise I get has been consistently first class. S3 Dental comes highly recommended.

Positive experience: Dentists are great but why so much admin? You have to pay up front but then queue to check in then queue to check out even with no charges. Even the drs surgery has enabled self check-in?

Fantastic experience: I've been a customer at S3 for a few years. My oral health is important to me. Future issues are prevented by continued monitoring and precautionary treatment. I recommend this practice as any concerns can always be addressed and treatment plans discussed beforehand.

Fantastic experience: Such kind and thorough ladies on the front line reception, l must admit they have so far, as a new patient been so fab helping me out on an emergency basis (fell down the stairs onto my front teeth ) now l can't imagine not having them and the lovely kind Dr Sammy helping me get my smile back lol. Grateful for the way everything has been explained to me as l always feel more confident if l understand what is happening to me.. ie a plan moving forward. Fantastic experience: Haven’t been to the dentist since 2018 and had a severe toothache so called the practice and the fitted me on the same day privately and met with lovely Georgina and Sam who were both so amazing with me and so kind as I was very tearful and scared but they were both amazing. Also all The ladies on reception were kind and fabulous with me especially Hattie who booked me in and helped me to complete all the forms.

Fantastic experience: Patient at this practice for 10 years I’ve now had several appointments with Dr Chaudhry (and his lovely assistant) who are very understanding of my fear. His calm, confident and friendly manner is very reassuring. I’ve come to trust him which is very important to me.

Fantastic experience: I am an OAP And had to have a back tooth extracted. I was extremely nervous and panicked about this procedure . I am also hard of hearing need to lip read. I was treated with great patience and kindness by both my dentist Parita and her assistant. They took time to explain the whole process to me. When I was panicking the lovely assistant held my hand , the Dentist reassured me before proceeding I was greatly surprised when they told me the procedure was completed. Positive experience: Dentist Kitty was very pleasant and welcoming. However, as "technopobes" both my wife and I found the torteous online form filing quite an ordeal . This was made worse by the receptionist suggesting we may miss our appointment if the form is not completed .Given it was my first appointment , I nearly walked out . although, I admit it was totally our fault to have misread the online instruction .

Fantastic experience: Initially my experience was ok with S3 but I am very saddened and disappointed by what I have been subjected to by my dentist. I feel that there is no respect from her to me and I am not communicated to about what she is about to do and why. I am only 52 years of age and the negative impact that the treatment has had on my life has been awful. I have been left with an end result that I have been told NOW that it is irreversible that to make the outcome fill out my face again and not make it concave with s to seek private treatment as what I require so that I may eat and not have constant sores and pain in my mouth is having private “cosmetic” dentistry!!! When I explained to my dentist that how is it considered cosmetic when my quality of life is non existent I was told by her that she doesn’t make the rules. No, but as my dentist she should have my back with the dentist/patient code and as my dentist she could state a fair account and have my corner that I need them to eat, my low bone density that is in the family, that if not protected that will just get worse, I can’t chew any food and my speech is completely ruined. It is the worst thing that has ever happened to me and it took eight years to find an NHS Dentist!!! I could cry.

Fantastic experience: It was 3rd time to visit this lovely dentist. Her caring was paramount and uplifted. She has huge experiences in this field as I felt it by her helping towards me. God bless her to serve humanity to obtain many more rewards in this world and next.

Negative experience: Went with my daughter for my grandsons check up he had been up all night with sickness and diarrhoea but we were told that because we had cancelled at short notice in August and March he would be dropped from the practice if he did not attend, the March appointment was with den plan which they came out of in January and became nhs patients at no time was we told that the previous appointment booked in for March would be classed as cancelled especially as they then booked him on for Jan and Feb with appointments with NHS . I am fuming at the way they handled this and no doubt they will be moaning about us now we have gone as iv heard them many times complaining about other customers while iv been sat in the waiting room

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to S3 in Haywards Heath. Nice warm welcome when I arrived for a 9:30 appointment. My dentist called me in early which I liked, gave me a warm welcome. Explained the process clearly. Was very professional and friendly and checked I was ok during the examination. First impressions are very good and would highly recommend. Had a tooth out Tuesday and was called in early and was again very impressed with the procedure.

Negative experience: Really upsetting experience I have a Cronic lung condition and struggle with breathing got into dentist and receptionist was lovely and asked if I was ok as I was struggling I said I’m ok got taken to waiting room and was called had to walk to up 2 flights stairs got out of breath and asked To sit for a second to get my breath back to be told no as I was to fat for the chair. I exceeded the weight limit apparently. I didn’t want to sit in the main chair just the chair next to her to get my breath back before Walking down stairs again made a complaint at front desk to be told I had to be refered to specialist dentist and was given out of hours number only to realise I would face same issues at out of hours as chairs have weight limits. If you are over weight dont bother going there unless you disclose your weight before hand

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at S3 Dental for a number of years, the staff are pleasant and helpful and there is general feeling of calm and efficiency when visiting the Surgery. I recently had a tooth removed by Dr Butt. We knew it would be difficult, but I know they care about their patients and I will be well cared for. Dr Butt is very easy to talk to and is informative throughout the procedure. Very pleased, Dr Butt made it as easy as possible.

Positive experience: Our first dental examination with Kitty was excellent. However, the emails with appointment reminders and pre-examination forms to be filled in went into our Spam so didn't get them and had to rush to fill in the forms at the appointment. If SMS text messages were used then we would not of had this problem. I understand that you don't use sms texts as they cost you for each message. A small price for a better customer service?

Having previously been a patient of Dr Kitty Ingarfield at a previous practice, I was very happy to find she had moved to this fantastic practice. The practice has a very professional feel and a modern appearance. and a great, on arrival I was greeted by the very welcoming reception team. I’m an NHS patient and was made to feel a valued patient unlike some other dentistry groups in the West Sussex area. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Dr Viggor at S3 with my teenagers since they first got their teeth, he is calm and funny making going to the dentists a pleasurable experience rather than a daunting one. They both have excellent teeth thanks to him for gently reminding them when they need to brush better. Would highly recommend!!

Wait times have reduced considerably and the use of technology has enhanced the care I have been given which was already of a high standard. The service I experience has been excellent and good value for money. I would thoroughly recommend.
