Fantastic experience: Dr Vith is highly recommended - calm, patient, and explained process, excellent for those of us nervous about dental treatments. Very personable, very generous numbing injections which is great for me (especially as had dentists reluctant to numb up, when tight on time), never seems rushed, works around kids needs, glad we found a good dentist local to us. Small issues, big issues, all been resolved through their excellent treatment. Also saw Dr Yihang for first time, he was super - really liked how he spoke face-to-face (as opposed to old dentists I've had that talk to you from over your ear), he explained all the options, used visuals like video clips to explain what happened and treatment options going forwards, used camera to show me back-tooth so I could see issue. Very happy with that visit. Practice owner was also good with kids additions needs, did a good check up and referral, thank you. There's some good dental nurses working with them and receptionists are a good team. Appreciate the call reminder day before appointment. (Only had one check up cancelled that was done by email, which is fine but call would have been better.) Been with this practice since it opened and it's been such a positive addition to South Bristol community dental care. (Edit: unfortunately agree with one of the reviews below, I won't ever rebook myself or kids with the spanish female dentist, their dental exam was fine but not their abrupt attitude, which is in itself a core part of dental care.)

Negative experience: Caution!!! do not come to this dental practice!! They are extremely unprofessional and extremely awful!! I just had my scaling a month ago, and also filling one of my teeth After a couple weeks, I start to get pain again and they cannot get an appointment in three weeks So I went to another private dental practice The private dentist told me the filling material by Purple Dental Care was only temporary ?! what the hell is going on?? They charged £70 for filling with NHS, but I only pay £75 with a private dental practice, they sorted everything out for me, refilled and make sure it’s not a temporary filling They are so disgusting Once again, do not come to here for anything

Negative experience: I had an appointment a day before yesterday in emergency, Dentist removed the previous temporary filling and replaced it with antibiotic medicine. She done the whole procedure so quickly that I got surprised. She suggested me to continue paracetamol with ibuprofen for pain relief for 2 days, since that time continuously i am having it but the pain is increasing. My request is if you are giving treatment in emergency for god sake be patient and try to give a good treatment to patients. I came to see dentist in emergency because inwas suffering with unbearable pain. It’s my request take some time at least to relieve pain. Just now again I called 111 again because i am still suffering with severe pain. Again another dentist will dig and dig then would fill again. Every one is not wealthy to afford the private expenses please show some mercy on humankind. Thanks

Negative experience: I paid twice to have inspection as I had my teeth done in Egypt I was turned down both times 1st time I was given payment back second time I was refused having work done on a small hole in tooth and told to go back to India to sort hard when I'm On a pension was not given 58 pounds back either and now hole has enlarged and no way of getting it fixed food enters which has to be picked out which enlarges hole totally dissatisfied

Negative experience: I attended an appointment yesterday with my daughter for a routine check up, only to be gossiped about and have my appointment pushed back. This is supposed to be a professional workplace dealing with personal information. I was subjected to behavior that lacked any kind of professionalism, which left both myself and my daughter embarrassed. I feel the dental nurse was trying to goad me into losing my temper. I understand that she dislikes me, but to put on the show that she did in front of my child was disgraceful. I believe it's important for professionals to maintain a respectful and supportive environment, especially when dealing with sensitive matters. I am awaiting a response from the practice manager regarding my complaint but in the mean time my daughter is now worried that her dental care will not be the best due to this dental nurses behaviour.

Negative experience: Extremely poor service. The dentist that I was given was clearly inexperienced and appeared to just "fumble" his way through. Asked to change to another dentist and suddenly I am called "Rude and disruptive". My future treatment was cancelled leaving me with four front teeth missing from a broken plate and a dental practice who didn't give a damn - Go elsewhere!

Negative experience: Poor staff communication to patients so wouldnt recommend. They also like to kick you off the NHS list, makes appointments without your knowledge so you miss the appointments. Also with each dentist visit you get a new dental practitioner that tells you something different each time. Left me with half a job of a crown done! Fuming! Wouldn't recommend the practice to anyone!

Negative experience: Absolutely awful place, I had a replacement filling on Tuesday and as I left I had come out within 5 minutes so I had another straight after and that one had came out on Friday so had another one again and that one has now came out a day later. 3 fillings in 1 week and they have all come out absolutely terrible place. While I was in there I also heard a women talking to reception who was getting her daughter booked back in as she also had lost fillings.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to be accepted by Purple dental Care 2 years ago when I lost my dentist that I have been with for over 30 years. At Purple dental care, I am most impressed with the energy of this dynamic team, the qualifications, medical knowledge they have is astounding, their work ethics outstanding, and they are so willing to help me with my queries on the medical conditions I had, a horrid infection first and then my tongue; the dentists and hygienist I have seen always communicate well, thorough and caring. My experience is a testimony to the pride they have in their profession. This great team also offer a range of cosmetic procedures for whoever. My husband is hoping that they will have a place soon for him, I highly recommend Purple Dental Care for everyone

Fantastic experience: My last appointment culminated in referral to the Dental Hospital to check on a lesion which could possibly have been cancer. Thankfully by the time I went for a biopsy the lesion had disappeared. Better to be safe than sorry. Thanks

Fantastic experience: I always feel my dentist at Purple Dentist, has always done what I needed or want done. A very friendly atmosphere by all you see and communicate with. I've needed l to cancel appointments in the past and reschedule them for a later date, and usually, it's not a problem. As long as you do so 24hrs before, which I can understand.

Negative experience: Dreadful place. Went in for an emergency filling and it is more painful now than it was. Rude, seemingly incompetent and threatening dentist, who clearly didn't give a hoot about patient care, just was happy to do a bad job as quickly as possible. It's easy to see why desperate people will take the only option available, but I would avoid this place like the plague.

Negative experience: Was referred to this dentist via 111 yesterday and was told they'd call me back to see me the same day. Had no call back so I called them and they said they don't do same day emergency appointments and I'd be lucky if I'm seen within 36 hours. Useless. Avoid if 111 suggest this place

Fantastic experience: Been going there for about two years and can't recommend Vithuran enough - by far the best dentist I've had (bear in mind I check a billion reviews before choosing a dentistry and do other research as I'm a nervous patient). Always super efficient, calm and understanding!

Negative experience: Initially this was a good dentist! Cancelled my NHS place!?!?!?! They’re saying I missed an appointment after I cancelled it. Offered to pay for missed appointment but was flatly refused and told to go private!! Disgusting treatment when I’ve been looking for dentist for 5 years!!

Negative experience: appointment waiting was within days, paid for a filling feel out by the time i got home. Paid for a scale and polish only descaled the bottom and no polish and said it wasnt needed even tho he told me to paid for one. just felt like I paid for stuff that I didnt get abs was all advised to buy from him

Fantastic experience: Front desk staff have a positive and helpful attitude, and my dentist and assistant have been excellent. Very informative and they have answered any question I had, they are also pro-active with my teeth and their health. Its not a case of not telling about potential upcoming issues, where as previously I went to a private dentist who weren't clear on explaining what was wrong and their colleagues gave conflicting information. So in sumary, Purple Dental Care are on my Christmas card list.

Further more its healed beutifully.. also getting upper 3 front tooth braced bridge being made so far its early stages so good ..When completed ill post my coments & photos of the work done 'many thanks paul carvin....
