Fantastic experience: Woodburn Dental Practice is run by a very highly professional team. My appointment was run on a timely way and Lawrence in particular is a very friendly, helpful, kind and considerate clinician. The receptionist staff are very friendly and all of the dental nursing staff are also very accommodating.

Negative experience: Unfortunately being a few minutes late due to local road closures, diversions and having travelled from Somerset, the reception was contacted to advise of predicament. When there, dentist refused to see patient. It just brought to mind all the times waiting in the waiting room and dentist running late. Appears there was no compassion or caring attitude today, just inflexibility. A heads up to patients about local road closures could have assisted especially for patients outside the area who were faced with diversions that added to journey in unfamiliar terrain. This just seemed very out of character for this practice. Disappointing having already allowed an hour for journey.

Fantastic experience: Lawrence & his nurse amazing as always! And today the receptionist who is normally rude (I think we all know who I am talking about I won’t name names)! has clearly been spoken to as she wasn’t quite as rude today

Positive experience: Having been a patient here for many years, I’ve always found the practice to be welcoming. There can be quite a wait for non urgent appointments but those in pain can call the Dentists at 8am for an appointment. I had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment to fix a crown, but once in, the procedure was done well and I’ve come away happy with the treatment.

Positive experience: It’s a difficult one. On the one hand it has always been very good. But £91! for 15 minutes treatment with no additional treatment or medication. I was very surprised. I remember when I was shocked when the hygienist went up to £60, now it’s £91.

Fantastic experience: I was seen as an emergency patient by Stephen Rooney today. He was extremely courteous, caring and well informed. He explained the three different treatments available in a professional but understandable manner and then completed the treatment very competently. The office staff and dental nurse are also very polite and professional. We are extremely lucky to have this NHS practice in Portishead and hope it receives continuing support.

I received excellent treatment, such a calming and reassuring environment. The whole procedure was without any discomfort and I am so glad to be rid of the tooth. Fantastic experience: Steve (dentist) and the team were absolutely fantastic in accommodating and treating my son during the emergency appointment following an altercation which resulting in my son needing bonding to his broken tooth. They were professional, engaging and had a sense of humor whilst listening to planet rock! Which helped my son as he has had traumatic experiences in the past with dentists so thank you both. In and out within the hour and reasonably priced.
