Negative experience: I have attended the dentist for over 15 years but recently the service isn’t what it used to be. I waited 50 minutes to be seen by the dentist, I understand 10/15 minutes but when I have taken time aside from work for an appointment it’s not great to have to wait that long. I didn’t get an apology about the wait time and I was in the chair for less than a minute with the dentist using a mirror to check my teeth and sending me off. I feel like they are pushing customers to go to private appointments.

Positive experience: I have always been really happy with the service at Amblecote Dental Care. On this particular occasion we had to wait over half an hour to be seen by the orthodontist. I understand he has left the practice and is in only in one day a week to see previous patients, however he did seem very overbooked.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new patient but was made to feel at ease on my first visit and consultation. The dentist was very thorough and explained everything to me. I felt much better after I had been as I get very anxious and nervous. Hopefully this will continue. The staff there seem to be very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Amblecote Dental for over 20 years and have always found them to be professional, competent and caring. We have found, of late, a tendency to keep changing appointment times on the run up to the appointment taking place, but we have put this down to, (pardon the pun), teething problems with the practice moving into new hands and new systems being set up etc. I would though, without doubt highly recommend Amblecote Dental. They have a great team of people at the helm looking after our teeth.

Amazingly nothing can be done about my moving teeth .. but I’m sure if I was able to pay private plenty could be done. Oh well

Negative experience: Had an NHS check up with a new dentist at the practice - not a proper check up - only counted what teeth I’d got and not got - asked me if any problems - that was it - no checking my gums like they normally do . No check around the rest of my mouth or neck and not sure what I paid £27 for as I could have counted my teeth and told them which ones were missing - your standards have slipped I’m afraid

I went to amblecote dentist ( brierley hill) I asked the receptionist how to join and filled in forms and this is going to be my dentist. Girls on reception couldn’t do enough to help me, lovely girls, I noticed how clean and fresh the practice is. 100% 5 star rating!!

Fantastic experience: Been a patient at this practice around 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Friendly, helpful staff and great dentists, nurses and Hygienist. Broke a tooth and filling yesterday which the gave me alot of pain. Called Amblecote this morning, and got seen by a dentist at 11am. Pain free now with a temporary filling. Have used about four dentists here of the years and all where equally good. My ten year old daughter also visits this practice, and the dentists are great with her too. She's perfectly relaxed for her dental visits. Keep up the great work and customer service guys. It goes a long way, and doesn't go unnoticed

But i wqnt fakse teeth i keep asking anx asking and im pushed away every time i have hardly abd teery keft and csn hardly chew n he keeps sayijg just wait just wait. Im also in paim with the same two front teethe that have hurt me for yearss and im told try another toothpaste for exposed root. I dont knkw wjat to zay, i honestly dint lovely people abd lovely debntist but your left in pain, i think they treat you like ypur making it up or something.

Negative experience: This used to be a very good dental surgery but unfortunately that it no longer the case. I recently chipped a tooth so booked an appointment, arrived and the surgery was not busy but still didn't get called in until 20mins after my appointment time. I was literally in the seat for 30 seconds and was told as the tooth wasn't actually hurting nothing needed doing but to come back if it started hurting. I was charged £26.80 for this A few weeks later the tooth did actually start hurting so I called them and got another appointment, again the surgery was not busy but wasn't called in until 25mins after my appointment time. Exactly the same as the previous visit I was in the chair for 30 seconds to be told the tooth looked fine and to only come back if the pain was excruciating, I was charged another £26.80 for this...surely this should have been covered under the initial visit / cost? EDIT - After looking into this online my follow up visit was 2 months to the day (but an earlier time than the first appointment so technically under 2 months if somebody wants to be really pedantic) so this should have indeed been covered by the cost of the first visit. All this practice appears to want to do recently is get you in and out in seconds and get as much money off you as possible, it never used to be like this at all but its nothing like it used to be any longer. Looks like its time to try and find an alternative dentist

Fantastic experience: I lost a large inlay filling and was offered an emergency appointment on the same day. Fortunately, the filling came away cleanly with no damage to the tooth and I had kept the inlay portion. The dentist managed to clean the filling and the tooth and re-cemented it in place. A far quicker, cheaper and less traumatic solution to the problem, for which I was very appreciative.

Positive experience: very expensive! Reception layout very confusing and always run massively behind. They are so desperate to get you to pay they injected my gums to numb them and made me walk out to reception and pay, which was full. Not a great experience.

Positive experience: On arrival the surgery was clean and tidy. I was acknowledged and advised to take a seat. My appointment was for 2.40 but was called in around 2.55 so quite good really, I always expect it to be a little beyond the time. The dentist greeted me and made me feel at ease. My treatment was done quickly and efficiently. I would give 5 stars but the car parking is awkward and limited, I had to park on the roadside, which not a problem, but would have been happier to park at the surgery.

Negative experience: I had a filling on 6th may within a few weeks it had come out had 2nd filling on 1st july within 2 weeks it was out again and now AMBELCOTE DENTIST are REFUSING to do any treatment as they say they're not allowed to do any NHS TREATMENT AT ALL SAID IT'S NATIONWIDE NOBODY CAN HAVE NHS DENTAL WORK DONE even though I've been a patient of theirs for over 30 years. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
