Negative experience: This place has really let me down. Years of check ups and xrays but never been told that I had serious gum problems, just "see you in 6 months". Now having expensive private treatment which could have been avoided. Also incorrect advice which has made the problems worse over several years. The exception was lovely Dr Jacek, who sadly left a few years ago. All downhill since !

Fantastic experience: Dr bismah and Michelle on reception were very helpful, kind. Quick and very informative made sure I had all the information needed for my treatment and were very helpful in supporting my needs

Negative experience: Disappointed with pricing transparency. The price on the website didn’t match what I was charged in the clinic—around 2–3× higher. I wasn’t given a clear explanation. This feels misleading. Please honour the advertised price or update the website.

Fantastic experience: Elisha the nurse at the dentist was a star, thanks to her she made me feel so comfortable and secure. If it wasn’t for her I would’ve probably had a panic attack and suffered severe epileptic fits

Negative experience: The recent dental appointment was unsatisfactory, as the dentist appeared rushed and failed to address a significant concern. Specifically, after I identified a potential issue, the dentist acknowledged gum recession but offered no substantive solutions.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say a massive thank you to Dr Ally Somani and nurse Elisha who has helped give support to my daughter through her treatments. She's so happy with results thank you for going beyond to make a little person happy. Dentist is not her favourite place.

Negative experience: So my wife got referred by 111 as a nhs patient she was in agony the wait for nhs was September!! So asked her to pay £250 when she was referred by a hospital dentist did not have a clue what he was going on about and he went to put toothpaste on a nerve which was exposed which would of made it even more painful! We went to a different dentist and she actually said if he put toothpaste on her bad tooth it would have been more painful! Only care about money not actually helping ppl service rubbish! Would never ever recommend this dentist to anyone! Maybe the dentist actually needs to have a qualification before working on ppls teeth and making it worse!

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with my 1st visit to Anstey Dental Centre. Reception was warm, welcoming, and personable. My dentist Dr. Sadaf Alam was knowledgeable and patient, explaining available options and putting me at ease. I left feeling much more confident about my dental health after a recent move to the area.

Fantastic experience: Good experience, lovely reception staff who answered all questions and phoned to check appointment. Dr Christy was great, explained everything, efficient and did good job of difficult filling on chipped front tooth.

Negative experience: Very rude receptionist, I called like 3 times saying I want to register my children, while talking she kept on cutting me off the call, when I called the forth time she left me waiting, I’m sure some of thier good reviews are false with this experience of mine.

Negative experience: This is by far the worst dentist iv ever been too I recommend people not to join as you will be waiting 4 weeks for an appointment you need in couple of days I don’t even get seen there instead I get seen by emergency dentist cuz they don’t care they leave you in pain crap service overall mate changing debtist soon. And receptionist is rude

Negative experience: Today ,I have visited the practice and there was a young receptionist looking a bit over 20 years old with blond hair. While I was explaining something to the receptionist who was updating the system with my details, she randomly said "I don't know what she is talking about....." and when she said that she was looking at her nails....I think that the behaviour like that is very rude and she shouldn't say that aloud next to the patient in that kind of way ! This lady definitely should be trained how to deal with patients and how to behave in public. Lack of respect !!!!!

Negative experience: Horrible place!! Couldn’t make on my appointment dispute informed them , i have been rudely informed that I will be charged for rebooking £20. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Negative experience: Used to have a great dentist there who left. New dentist charged me £120 for a 5 mins clean, I have been trying 3 months to check this is correct and if I was overcharged by mistake and no reply! They also told me I had a loose tooth that would need removing, had this checked and it’s not the case.

Fantastic experience: We always have a good experience here. Whilst l know the dentist isn't always the nicest place to have to visit, the staff on reception are always polite and really helpful. They do their best to try to accommodate the appointment times you want. The dentist we see is al lady, she is on the top floor, again really nice, understanding how frightening the dentist experience can be for people. We feel lucky to have found this practice and feel assured that treatment is of the highest standards.

Fantastic experience: Always found the dentists, dental technicians and reception staff to be both pleasant and professional. Recently Dr Aly extracted some of my daughter’s teeth prior to having her braces fitted. He was amazing with her and put her at ease throughout. Even gave her breathing techniques to make the injections more bearable. Praised her afterwards for doing so well. What an amazing guy, definitely one of the best we have come across.

Negative experience: Zero stars doesn’t even wipe the surface of how awful this place is. Firstly, how this place hasn’t been investigated is beyond me, you have disrespectful members of staff that disregard and are disrespectful to other members of staff, which is quite mind boggling as it’s evident they play a key role in this workplace. I hope me writing this review sparks some additional training with those that lack respect and dignity to others. Wouldn’t ever recommend anyone to go into a health and social care setting such as this.

Negative experience: Nasty treatment towards your staff if you’re going to care for people realise that your staff are people aswell

Negative experience: Disappointed with Anstey Dental. Found the dentist to be very rough in both examining me and performing the treatment. Filling was left uneven and with sharp edges, was told it would 'wear down' and sort itself out. It hasn't, and they've asked me to pay again to fix their (bad) work. Only joined them recently as they were the only practice accepting NHS patients (obviously difficult to find presently). Now I know why they had space and will also left their practice. You only get one set of teeth and I don't trust them.

Positive experience: I rang up twice on Friday 26th July 2024 to request a regular dental check-up appointment. Receptionist explains that they were understaffed and insisted she couldn't find my details on the system, despite me clearly giving my DOB and full name. So, I wasn't able to book an appointment. So, I drove all the way to the practice itself in Anstey on Monday 29th July and a different receptionist was able to find my details straight away, literally within 2 seconds. This has happened in the past on 2 - 3 occasions, which has lead to past confusion and delayed appointments. I think you have a receptionist who should be trained more.

Fantastic experience: Absolute 5+ star review! Dr.Aly is my dentist and he is wonderful. Very kind and explains everything really well. Fantastic at his job of course but really makes you feel welcome and safe. Wonderful if you are nervous about seeing the dentist. The ladies at the front are always welcoming and very efficient. They all work very hard and clearly want the absolute best for their NHS patients.

Negative experience: Went to get my child registered here but was rudely told by the receptionist that they are not taking any new nhs patients even though there website says otherwise and even on nhs website it says otherwise.

Fantastic experience: Always had a good experience with this practice, Katarzyna has always got straight to the problem and Ellie the receptionist has always greeted me with a smile and has been efficient with making the appointments, I would recommend this practice to my family and friends

Fantastic experience: Nice friendly staff always attentive and listen to any questions you may have and do their best to help you. I see Dr Aly and he is brilliant always listens to any concerns I may have and does his best to make my experience more comfortable. I have spoke to the lady on reception called Ellie she has been great and always tries to help with making my appointment times manageable for me with school times so they don't collide. Overall very friendly would highly recommend.

Negative experience: 1. A few years ago, I had a root canal treatment done by Mr. Wilk. After some time, an abscess appeared on my gum. During my next visit to a different dentist, I found out that a dental tool was left in the canal causing inflammation. I also had a second consultation - a routine check-up at Anstey Family Dental Clinic, where the dentist confirmed the presence of the tool in the canal. I told her that her boss left it there. Unfortunately, my tooth had to be extracted because the dentist didn't want to risk breaking the root. I had to get an implant which cost me a lot. 2. I was surprised to find out that my dad had the exact same situation with Mrs. Wilk recently , who left a tool in his canal and placed a bridge on that tooth and two others. My dad had to pay a lot to fix this mistake. Luckily, his tooth was saved by another professional. I dare say we might not be the only cases of unprofessional dental procedures. 3. I do not recommend it. Please try other professionals to avoid extra costs and hassle!

Negative experience: My last dentist was not good, clearly got there accreditation off a cereal box with how they did my teeth. I moved here and all I can say is amazing, ask for Ellie for receptionist she's got amazing customer service and does her job well. Same goes for the dentist seeing me Bismah . Amazing experience and have sorted tooth ache and various other things with care and a smile. Ellie and Bismah keep doing what your thing. *** UPDATE *** Called in for a appointment as my previous appointment was cancelled by the dentist.....was given a dentist Dr Marcin Wilk who only does private and not NHS patients only found out when he was scraping my teeth.... BTW I can feel the score you did on my my filling . Just felt he was rather not interested in helping other than my money as he got up very quickly to get me out when he knew I wasn't going to pay for private... When queried at reception ,the answer was its because we get complaints about cancelling appointments and not rebooking.. What's the point in rebooking someone to a dentist who doesn't serve NHS patients but does private only Waste of time and fuel today

Negative experience: I just came inside the receptionist put her head down, and when I asked to register she answered without asking me that the NHS closed. I said and the private, she said come on Thursday!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Somani has got to be the best dentist I have ever seen. I’ve used a private dental practice before and never have been as informative as him. Very friendly and thorough! Very reassuring too.
