London Road Dental Centre - Neath Dentist

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience today. I was seen on time by a very knowledgeable and friendly dentist, I didn’t get her name but she was lovely. Gave me a check up and a lot of good advice on going forward. Also recommend I see a hygienist which I have booked for August, so not long to wait for that. All in all a very good visit.

Fantastic experience: Had my composite bonding done with Chris. He settled me from the moment I first met him. Told me that we would sort that out no problem. I had big doubts that he could and actually give me the smile…… I never realised I wanted. BUT…….. after we were done, the man is a Magician! I never expected the results I had from it. Him and his hygienist both deserve praise for what they have managed to achieve here. If anyone is thinking about composit bonding, Chris is your man! You won’t get better than Chris in south wales….. take a look at this!

Fantastic experience: I had to register privately due to my previous Dentist declining Nhs treatment due to the fact that I had unfortunately in business of life missed 2 routine checkups , one of which I remember the other I don’t. London Road dentistry is more local for Me and have excellent reception staff, pretty prompt appointments within 3 to 5 days and the dentist I saw, a Dr Powell was very relaxed reassuring and had a very good manner. Although private treatment for fillings is not cheap by any means (and it does make One wonder how some people can afford care) the service is excellent and I would recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I came out of the surgery traumatised. I was never afraid of dentists until now. What it was meant to be an easy procedure: 2 fillings turned up to be horrendous. Dentist was very rough, the procedure hurt all of the way through and I spent all evening taking painkillers. Won’t be coming back

Fantastic experience: Best treatment I ever had, hate the dentist so much, almost fainted. But these 2 men put me totally at ease, fixed the problems, no laughing at my gross teeth with the hot nurse or doing root canal without anathetic or any of the other things I have previously experienced. They were fast. It didn't hurt at all and that's almost impossible for me and they did 3 fillings perfectly in 20 minutes giving me a pretty decent smile and thats saying sometjjng too, i thought my teeth were ruined for good. I couldn't recommend that dentist and his assistant any higher.

Prior to my appointment the clinic sent out forms and a medical questionnaire in advance so that there was no need to fill them in when visiting the clinic.

Fantastic experience: Today I visited Rodericks dental practice in Neath they were very busy but took the time put me at ease. I was there to see the hygienist, he explained how the procedure was undertaken and the benefits of it. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to provide the procedure as my gums were sore from a recent abscess. I cannot stress how incredibly painful it has been. The experience of my visit was so pleasant that I cannot thank them enough for their patience and understanding they showed me today considering the stress they must be under trying to help everyone

Negative experience: Not all happy with my experience,paid £71.00 for a good clean with Elena she just done a basic quick clean I can still feel and see plaque around my teeth. Expected better as usually very good .won't be coming back to her .

Negative experience: Dentist was great - admin in the background is poor. On trying to book an appointment waited in the telephone queue from 10th position to 1st - took about 45 minutes. When ‘answered’ I was put through to an answerphone. Left a message and nobody called back. Left a second message, nobody called back. My wife had to call into the practice to book us in. Had my check up today (dentist Liam was great). Need a replacement filling so was told my appointment was 30 June. Then got a text to say it was 10 June having left the building. Called to rearrange but was 4th in the queue. 16 minutes on hold and passed back to the answerphone again. Poor.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Ana Petek Bahar this morning. I had a thorough examination, the best I've had in a while. Ana was very gentle and made me feel at ease as I'm not the best when at the dentist. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment this afternoon. Not been to the practice before. I have to say the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. When I was called into the treatment room both the dental nurse and the dentist were pleasant and put me at my ease. The dentist explained to me very thing that was going to happen and after the procedure explained everything about aftercare. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending this dental practice for over 30 years. I have an annual check up and a clean with the dental hygienist. Along with a good quality electric toothbrush and cleaning regime, this has kept me fillings free and I still have all of my teeth. The staff are friendly and helpful particularly during these difficult times with the state of dental provision and the NHS service. Welsh Government need to agree a better remuneration contract with the dental profession that rewards them fairly for their NHS work.

Fantastic experience: Chris and his assistant were excellent with a tricky extraction for braces for my daughter - incredibly patient and helpful, and he explained everything to her as he was doing it, keeping her calm and relaxed (even laughing at one point!). Chris was great with her from start to finish - amazing.

Fantastic experience: Excellent treatment and advice from Yaz (dental technician) who is very understanding and careful. He always makes sure you understand what he needs to do and why and he is very approachable and amenable as regards any concerns you may have. The reception staff are polite and helpful.

Negative experience: No crowns available on the NHS. They would only offer private treatment at a cost of £800. Disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Dentist & nurse fantastic very kind and put me at my ease. But the paper work filling in forms I am partially sighted and can not fill in forms had to ask the nurse but have to go back so forms filled in then. The only other alternative is to fill them in on line but even that is difficult. I've been going to this particular dentist for years they must have my records on computer just ask me if anything has has changed and amend my records on screen. This is the reason I've given 4 stars.

Positive experience: Waited 25 minutes for appointment, the dentist explained everything to me regarding my appointment. However I was quoted £60 over the phone , but I paid £103 in total. I was not happy with this. I am still under the NHS however I could not get an appointment for emergency treatment .

Negative experience: I was in the chair for 5 mins , I was booked in for a check up & scrap and polish nothing was done charged me £20 , then had to book in for a seperate book for a clean charged me £91 I think it’s trrrible my teeth are not in a bad way I ve been going there for years it’s gone to the dogs just all about money not the care of people sickening ……….

Fantastic experience: Visited dentist yesterday to arrange for an extraction today. Denstist put me at ease straight away. Had several numbing injections and tooth was extracted quickly and with no pain.

Fantastic experience: I have attended London Road Dental Centre for over 45 years & never had a problem. Both reception & dental staff are friendly, helpful & keep me up to date on any changes at the centre. Since last October, I have been undergoing private Orthodontic work at the clinic which has been a positive experience. The treatment has made a huge difference to eating problems I had. Looking forward to having my braces removed in the next couple of months!

Negative experience: Very poor used to be a well run dentist been there for over 40 years. Had a cracked tooth back in Dec couldnt get a appointment so paid private to be seen £100 for 2 mins in a chair to remove the cracked tooth made a appointment to sort out in Feb only to be told it was for a check up. Then rebooked 3 appointments for fillings which have been cancelled and rebooked but for June ! 6 months to sort out dont think this is fair at all very poor practice.
