Fantastic experience: Claire is my NEW dentist, I've never had a private dentist before. It seems so much more thorough and it's fabulous to get a lot more work done than any NHS dentist would agree to do. Claire gives me a Bigger picture of things that are more "urgent" and need doing right away and things that need doing but are not so urgent. I'm not someone who has ever been afraid of dentists and I will tell you this: IF you are afraid, I can't Imagine you will be for long if Claire was your dentist because she's so kind and talks to you all the time so you know what she's doing. Then quite quickly it's all done!! I Love going to see her and getting my teeth looked after like they never have been before !!

Fantastic experience: Had my first experience of a filling with a private dentist here today, having had a few fillings at an NHS dentist in the past. Wow what a difference! I cants even feel the new filling is there. No pain during the treatment, an old filling was removed and replaced. Claire Bevan is a fabulous dentist. She has a lovely manner and is extremely professional, she talked through each step as she proceeded with the treatment. I feel my teeth are in very safe hands under Claire care.

Fantastic experience: I took my grandson today and John was fab with him. Explained everything he was going to do in detail. If dentists like John were around in the 60's they would not be so many nervous patients, like myself, around. First class service.

Fantastic experience: Claire was absolutely brilliant because I have had radiotherapy to my head and neck, my mouth is extremely sensitive. I had to have a root canal done on a broken tooth because extraction is a very last resort due to possible complications. Claire explained everything as she went along, never felt rushed and I never felt a thing. The reception staff were lovely too. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Well Done it takes a lot to impress me.

Fantastic experience: Had an extraction today with John… I am not a great patient, very anxious and managed to get in quite a state. John was calm and reassuring and did an amazing job. My dentist, Rikita, explained what I needed, asked how I would like to approach the work, and then provided the best dental service I have ever had in my 80+ years of dental work. I am normally very tense, having had some poor service elsewhere, but now I actually enjoy my visits! My teeth have never looked so good and I happily recommend Delph Dentists.

Dentist, John Hume-Spry, is very thorough and always explains the situation with my teeth very clearly. I’m always interested in seeing X-rays etc and he is happy to show me. He is very honest too and won’t undertake work that’s not necessary. I’m very grateful to have found the Delph Dentist which is within walking distance from my home. Grateful thanks to the team!

Satvinder has discussed options and explained every step of the treatments I want. He has worked with me to suit my budget. Satvinder is so professional, he takes care that I am comfortable during the sometimes lengthy appointments. I still need more work, but I am so pleased with the results so far. I am confident I am receiving the best possible care. Every member of staff I have met in the practice have been friendly and helpful. I am kept up to date with my treatment plan and appointment dates. Very efficient.

My latest treatment has been lengthy but still very professional at all times. The personal service received is very calming under the sometimes stressful situations. Fantastic experience: As a very nervous patient, Claire Bevan was an absolute superstar. She has talked through the process, step by step, reassuring me all the way. I haven't conquered my phobias but I'm certainly feeling more in control. The reception staff are friendly, polite and very professional. The facilities are immaculate and I'm really impressed with the whole ethos of the practice in it's entirety.

Negative experience: The clinical care is good at Delph Dental, however to poor administration is concerning. I was informed that I needed a specific toothpaste after my appointment, to which they didn’t have in stock. More recently, I cancelled my practice plan within the cooling off period. I’ve received emails from practice plan informing me that I’ll be charged, to which I emailed Mona, who informed me I needed to call practice plan myself and sort the issue out, to which I replied and informed Mona that I didn’t have the time to do this, and the issue was due to the incompetency of the administration team. This doesn’t seem to be an isolated issue, as my partner who also cancelled his plan, is having issues with the administration team, saying that they ‘forgot’ to cancel his plan, which has now resulted him being charged (which he has emailed delph back about). I would suggest that the practice manager has a frank conversation with the administration team, as it appears they’re incompetent.

Fantastic experience: I had cracked a old filling and need it sorting . So I contacted Delph and within minutes A polite and freindly member of staff (Amy) had found me a convenient appointment that I could fit around my busy schedule. At the the practice itself I was welcomed into a tidy and freindly environment Claire the dentist and abbie the nurse kept me comfortable and relaxed during the procedure (I'm not the best at the dentist). It was efficient and effective the whole filling had to be removed lined and filled, I was in and out in less than 40 mins the pain relief was wonderful and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience from start to finnish. Negative experience: On Monday 2nd September I had a dental check up with John, during this I was told that everything looked good, after using tools to inspect my teeth and gums, that evening the whole right side of my face went numb, the bottom right molar, first molar on that side was giving me excruciating pain, my husband called the practice after waiting one more day and asked for an emergency appointment, we saw one lady dentist (Rikita Bansal)at 12:40 on the 4th September, she did inspection and took x-ray, this indicated a problem with the root and filling in that tooth, and I was given the choice of some root treatment, costing £740.00, with no guarantee of success or an extraction, after consulting with my husband we opted for the extraction. First the Rikita Bansal tried to extract that tooth, she was able to remove 90% of the tooth, but one piece of root, deep in my gum remained, she requested the assistance of another male dentist, who also attempted to remove the remaining part of the tooth they were unable to do that, they told me there was the option to get specialists to drill into my gaw bone around the tooth to enable removal of the remaining tooth, or to leave in place and either the remaining tooth would work its way out or the gum would grow over the remaining tooth , either way it would not be a problem, so it was left, the gum wasn’t stitched, I was not given any antibiotic, and they didn’t even provide me something to rinse my mouth. Tomorrow morning My husband will call them again, as it is apparent, I need antibiotics and prescription pain killers, as I am currently suffering shooting pain in my jaw in the area of the extraction, you think I am enjoying my evening in the knowledge that the treatment they have given was wright and proper, this procedure for removal has already cost £121.00 how much more money will they demand to fix a problem they created via malpractice ! If you use this dentist be very careful with the treatment they give you, and ask yourself, what exactly are they qualified to do, if when there are problems with your treatment they always wish to refer you to a specialist for extra money.

Negative experience: Well as I moved too another dentist this review has been long coming .. shocking place that's all I have too say. . Nearly got sepsis from a tooth extraction . Had 3 lots of antibiotics.. then £70 taken everytime before you even get an appointment.. had alot of money from me from mistakes they made .. your a disgrace of an outfit. If your looking too get robbed blind ..go here ..

Positive experience: I can't fault the service I received during my appointment which was on time-9am. Pleasant staff throughout. I sat in a chair for a filling which lasted under 10 minutes. My only negative point was the price £130. Alot of money to anyone for less than 10 minutes work. I pay monthly for a treatment plan. This is not a complaint but concern of cost to average person.

Fantastic experience: Called to arrange an unplanned visit due to discomfort in my wisdom tooth expecting to be told I needed a filling. However on examination by John it was found that I had a hypersensitive tooth that was beyond saving so was removed immediately. This was a surprise to us both as on the outside all seemed good but the x-ray revealed the truth that lay under the surface. So although there was some discomfort to start with (but it wasn't comfortable anyway) all good in the end. Thank you John.

Fantastic experience: I am petrified of going to the dentist- John was fantastic! He explained in detail what he was going to be doing & was SO patient with me. Mel was with John the whole time & was also very kind & calming. The dentist chair is still not my idea of a fun day out but I was amazed at the ease & with absolutely NO pain. John explained to me that I would not need any anesthetic (loved that he was not trying to up-charge me) however, he told me that IF during the process I felt that I did, he assured me he would immediately stop & give me some. I even got advice for cleaning my teeth while struggling with bad mental health (which causes me to not be able to do much for self care). I never felt judged or scared, I really recommend this dentist especially for other people who are scared of going.

My first appt with Delph Dental (Private Patient) and couldn’t be happier - dentist talked me through all the issues my teeth were facing and what could be done to rectify with all the options available to me. Recommended the best Plan for me to go on, rather than trying to upsell to a higher Plan. Great value for money as the plan is cheaper for me, as is the treatment, and you also feel like you actually get something from the Plan. Managed to get my first two appointments faster than with my old dentist, and was also provided copy of the different treatment Plans so I could decide on which way I wanted to proceed

Negative experience: Was not really happy as I wanted a few of my teeth pulling out ,as I have gum disease which causes me constant pain, even when I floss daily ,brush my teeth three times a day ,use mouth wash ,don't smoke ,almost off my prescription, well was a smoker ,but always brushed my teeth. But would not remove them for me at all !!!! As with gum disease all you can do is try and control it so it dose not go ,so removing the ones which cause daily problems should be removed especially if your paying for them, and on a monthly plan . They said they would clean them ,but without anything to numb my mouth like the NHS use to do for me ad it cause me that much pain and stress . I felt not listened to at all ,and very embarrassed indeed . Also as I have been paying a gold monthly plan since December and not had any treatment, I needed one definitely removed ,but said it would cost £150 which I didn't have, but they could of wavered it really and taken it from the payments which I paid over the months . It seems to me like if you ain't got a few thousand pounds then they don't seem to care at all ,when it's your face and smile and confidence. We all different life experiences and circumstances, but when a person has changed for the better in every way ,I think that should count for something, but obviously it really dose not .
