Fantastic experience: Requested an urgent dental appointment today and was given one this afternoon. The dentist, Lashkmi, was very thorough and understanding and did what was requested of her by my oral specialist and gave me some useful information to aid my recovery. Very fortunate to have her as a dentist in the practice.

Fantastic experience: It was all quick and efficient, but what I really appreciated was, a few days before the appointment, one of your receptionists telephoning me to check that I would be all right on the stairs, as this series of treatment would continue to be on the upper floor, not with Sam whom I would normally see, on the ground floor. That was extremely thoughtful of her.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient I was well looked after from the minute I walked through the door, the receptionist was very polite and paperwork completed before the nurse escorted me to a room down stairs as I suffer with severe arthritis in my knees. Terri my Dentist then explained the procedure for the first time with up to date x-rays for in-depth knowledge as to what my teeth are up to. This was finished off with a plan of action for future work that’ll need to be done with cost applied to the actions required. I was very impressed Colin Williams

After the dentist investigated and an x-ray was taken I am to be referred for specialist treatment. The whole process from my original phone call to the referral was carried out promptly and very efficiently.

Positive experience: Came for re-fixing of filling which the practice had had for about 3 months, but it wasn't found so had permanent replacement. Work was completed satisfactorily within allotted time.

Fantastic experience: Always excellent service, lovely reception team and the dentists and support team are fantastic - they explain things clearly and take their time. They're gentle and considerate in the treatments too. The only challenge is that they're so thorough that I keep getting encouraged to floss more :)

Fantastic experience: I wanted a second opinion on the next stages of treatment for my teeth, as age has reduced my molars and wear has increased as a result. I chose the Martock practice for convenience, and the excellent reviews. The 45 minute check I had with Lakshmi was outstanding. I could not have asked for more by way of detailed examination, followed by a clear and concise de-brief and explanations. All carried out in an immaculate and most pleasant professional environment. Five stars does not do justice to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming here since the days of Mr and Mrs Exley and happy to say that the high service levels have been maintained. Lakshmi & Her team are always friendly and professional. Special mention to Jane & Sydnee for their great service too.

Fantastic experience: Terri is a reassuring and patient dentist who takes time to explain options, what she intends to do and any issues. There is no 'pushing' expensive treatment, indeed this visit, she even suggested that I could simply leave the tooth as was as it is still fine. Terri inspires confidence that she really has your interests at heart. For a young lady, she has great musical tastes playing music from the 70s and 80s - although she made me feel old when I mentioned I used to be a recording engineer and worked with David Essex to which she replied, Oh he was my Mum's heartthrob .... Now I do feel old!!

Positive experience: I visited Martick dental practise today 17/10/24. They were really attentive with me as I had warned them I was on crutches and made sure I'd be OK with using the stairs. All the staff there so so welcoming and lovely. Only reason for 4star is prices hahaha

Fantastic experience: I recently attended this dental practice this year for the first time where I was welcomed warmly by both the receptionist Michelle and my dentist Lakshmi. A treatment plan was agreed and all subsequent appointments have been on time, very professional and friendly. I visited the hygienist Jane and it was the best clean l have ever had and great advice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this dental practice to anyone, it truly is an amazing experience.

Fantastic experience: Not usually taken to leaving reviews but we had to say how pleased we are with the practice. We, thus far have only dealt with 4 members of staff and every one needs commending. Michele in reception was a real pleasure to talk to. Samantha (Dentist) listened carefully and gave some sound, professional, advice. Naomi (hygienist) spent ages explaining everything clearly and did such a great job on my teeth. Finally Lisa, who stood out because although she was exceptionally busy but still managed to get us sorted quickly and in a particularly friendly manner. Fair play to the management for employing such a great team.

Very knowledgeable dentist, looked into my lifestyle choices and advised quite a few improvements in order to improve my oral health. I can now see why NHS is only BASIC oral care.....and on reflection, this was a far more comprehensive examination.......lovely staff too ! So far, so good........i have my 2 fillings booked in......hopefully that will be a painless experience....Thank you

Negative experience: I was unhappy with the service I received today. To be charged £109 for less than 30 minutes of hygienist work is honestly extortion. I do not understand why two people have to attend me during such a visit. To be charged to have someone do a bit of sucking and then spend the rest of the time looking out the window is frankly a waste of money. This practice used to be all about treating the patient. It is now about "how much money can be extracted!" I would not recommend this practice to anyone. It maybe good medically, but it is at the expense of the patient.

My Dentist Terri is very professional, knowledgeable and personable - she patiently explained all the treatments I was having and answered all my questions, making me feel relaxed and confident. Negative experience: Martock Dental Practice I endured an excruciating dental procedure yesterday without the benefit of sufficient anesthetic. I had a temporary crown removed and a new crown fitted. I felt the first injection pierce my palette. The second injection did not pierce my gum, merely filled the side of my mouth with anesthetic which I was asked to rinse out. At no time before, during or after the procedure, did my did my mouth go numb. The dentist proceeded with the work, and although I was asked if I was ok, I was at not offered additional anesthetic. The dentist could clearly see that I was in great pain. With a rubber shield and clamps over my mouth it was impossible to explain that my mouth was not numb. He seemed surprised that I was in such great pain, as during my previous appointment when he prepared the tooth, and fitted the temporary crown, all was fine. When I told him, after the procedure that I had had no anesthetic from the second injection, that it had filled my mouth but not entered the gum, he said he thought I had ‘gone numb’. I have never been in such pain during a dental treatment. I believe this was obvious to the dentist. I believe he should have paused the procedure to check that I had been sufficiently anesthetized, and when it was clear that my mouth was not numb, he should have administered a second, successful injection.

She is personable, kind and understanding - quite apart from being excellent at her job. I am very pleased to have signed up to my dental plan and the practice seems to be going from strength to strength.

Negative experience: Have been registered with them for years and now they are refusing treatment unless they book me in as a new patient. Even though I’ve been there literally couple weeks ago for an emergency appointment. Disgusting attitude. So basically unless you’re regularly bringing them money in you are on your own when you actually need a treatment. Won’t bother coming back.
