Fantastic experience: I am enjoying a great all round dental experience from Melissa - great advice, great skills, my teeth are in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I visited the practice yesterday for an appointment with the hygienist. It was my second appointment with this hygienist (I'm sorry I have forgotten your name but she is Canadian). She is lovely, put me at ease and told me everything that was happening and was educational. Knowing I have sensitive teeth she was very aware and caring. My teeth felt wonderfully clean and I don't know why I was nervous!!! I have no problem with recommending this practice, all staff are lovely.

Fantastic experience: From the minute you step inside the door the whole experience is first class. All the staff make you feel very welcome which contributes to the calm atmosphere. Briana one of the hygienists is really thorough and you never feel rushed.

Fantastic experience: I recently experienced a complex extraction of my tooth...Dr Melissa Manson was absolutely fantastic staying calm and comforting me going through the procedure...She brings warmth and professionalism to the practice...a big shout out to Peter the Dental Nurse who is absolutely amazing at his job.

Fantastic experience: I used to attend the dentist up at Gorgie fir years but I was tierd of them constantly cancelling my appointments. So I decided to find a private dentist near me so I decided to try Inverleith Dental Practice. I have not been here long. But today (5.8.25)I had an appt with the hygienist who was called Ahila. She was so lovely and pleasant. She done a fantastic job and she reassured me through out. I could tell that she was very thourgh as if it was her own teeth.....What a difference in my teeth...looking a lot better and feel cleaner. I was very happy with this procedure. The reception staff all seem very pleasant and willing to try and accommodate my appointments. The surgery is bright and clean. My first dental checkup was with Pedro and he was also very pleasant and gave me advice on any issues. So far I am quite happy with this surgery and I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Inverleith Dental Practice for over 20 years and I have always enjoyed their professional and caring approach to my dental health. I like the continuity of their staffing - I have been seeing the same dentist and hygienist for a number of years - and as a nervous patient I particularly valued the considered advice and options they gave me regarding my need for a dental implant (done elsewhere). On occasions when I have sought urgent attention - broken tooth/lost filling - they have fitted me in pretty quickly, and I like that both dentist and hygienist spend time to describe, explain and make sure I understand the treatments they are recommending.

Fantastic experience: John has been my dentist now for over three years and I’ve been very pleased with all dental work. I’ve had two visits which required more immediate attention. He accommodated without hesitation. All the dentists and staff are friendly and very professional.

Fantastic experience: Chris is a really good dentist. Explains everything, make sure you are comfortable with the treatment and really goes the extra mile if you have any difficulty. I’ve had a lot of dentists over the years. He is the best I have experienced. Charlotte is a brilliant hygienist. I have never bothered with visiting a hygienist until a year ago. Fantastic experience: I have a real issue with grinding my teeth. John my dentist, totally understands the affects this has on my facial muscles and jaw. I have been wearing a mouth guard for several years and it truly works. My visit allowed a new guard to be made. I usually get several years out of the guard as they are so well made and fitted.

Fantastic experience: I haven't had serious work on my teeth for decades, so it was with some trepidation I attended my appointment yesterday with Chris for a crown to be fitted on one of my back teeth! The fear is always there, but I can honestly say that my first appointment was a breeze. Chris talked me through everything he was doing and his assistant Pete was excellent as well. I felt no pain even after the injections had worn off. I totally recommend Chris to anyone who needs any dental work- a genius. My next appointment now holds no fear!

I am quite an anxious patient but my dentist Melissa has been so supportive along with hygienist Brianna. They have really put my nerves at ease and my confidence is growing.

Fantastic experience: I've been with Inverleith Dentalcare for a long time. In March 2023 I needed a scan of my teeth. Pedro noticed that I had a chipped tooth and explained that it would need to be repaired before the scan could be carried out. I am extremely nervous about visiting the dentist due to a previous experience - NOT at this practice. Without going in to personal details, Pedro was fantastic with me. I was treated with care and understanding. I had to go back to the practice the following week to collect new retainers. Pedro spoke quietly with me to check that I was well and doing ok. He went above and beyond during both visits. I'll probably never get over my fear of dentists but I am very glad that I am with this practice. I know I will be looked after.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for longer than I care to remember and though I now live on the other side of Edinburgh, I cannot imagine going anywhere else. The Reception staff, Dentists and Hygienists are all welcoming, helpful and reassuring. Moreover, as I walk with difficulty, I can alway rely on assistance to negotiate the rather daunting steps. Fantastic experience: Hygienist visit with Sophie who has joined the team. Comfortable experience and helpful advice on getting the most out of Electric Toothbrush and offered samples of inter-denture brushes that I should try. Both Sophie and Peter really nice and put you at your ease.

Fantastic experience: My recent dental experience was excellent, bearing in mind that the relevant teeth were the most awkward to reach at the back of the mouth. It would,perhaps, have been helpful if Melanie had kept me somewhat better informed of the progress of the procedure. However, I have no reservations about the qualiy of treatment received, which was always in the best traditiins of the practice. I have no hesitation in recommending Inverleith Dentalcare unreservedly and without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending this practice for more than 40 years though the personnel has obviously changed during this time. Since chemotherapy I've had various dental problems and on the most recent occasion a 50 year old filling needed replacing to save an extraction. I felt completely confident with Chris Fowles as he talks you through the procedure which is very reassuring. The most modern methods are used, some of which are amazing, such as the imaging of one's teeth and the complicated paraphernalia which these days make the procedures painless. The reception staff are efficient and it is helpful to be reminded of appointments. The benefit of coming to this dentist (which is at the opposite side of town from where I live incidentally!) are the speedy treatment, painfree procedures and having confidence in the ability of the dentist and hygienist.

Seriously, this guy doesn’t just fix teeth; he performs miracles on shattered smiles. From the moment I walked in, his communication was top-notch—like he had a direct line to my anxiety because he seemed to know exactly what I needed to hear. And let me just say, his empathy is so genuine that I almost expected him to offer me a cookie or at least a pat on the back. Dr. Pedro Fiuza is a perfectionist in the best way possible. He treated my teeth with more care than I show to my favorite pair of shoes! Plus, his sense of humor is as sharp as his dental tools. It turns out that a trip to the dentist can be just as entertaining as my last night out with friends. Who knew I could laugh so much while someone was working on my mouth? I couldn’t be happier with the results and the price was as sweet as the victory over that troublesome bottle of cava! And let’s not forget the receptionist team—they were so friendly and helpful that I almost wanted to take them all out for ice cream after my appointment! Fantastic experience: My recent visit to the practice was to see the Dental Hygienist and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience, Her care and professional handling of the examination of my teeth and gums was exceptional, and with it full commentary so I was constantly informed of what she was doing and listening to her kept me fully informed. And as I remember my final comments once out of the chair after the examination was ' I really enjoyed that' and that has to be a comment rarely heard within any Dental Practice simply because she really did a marvellous job and made me feel very comfortable and fully informed. John McAleavey was very thorough during my check-up and used a camera system to create a 3D scan of my teeth, showing where plaque had built up, which was really helpful. Starting off with John Drummond(a nice,nice, Man) then daughter Judith Drummond took me on as a Patient. Then over the coming year's ,I’ve had a quite a few different Dentists, but the Quality of patient care has never wavered. Right up to this very day on November 2024… Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! It is a delight to visit. I am treated with courtesy, friendliness and respect from the reception staff. Likewise, my excellent dentist - Dr Chris Fowles, who is highly skilled and takes time to explain all the procedures to me, often on screen, which ensures my complete understanding of all my treatments.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant dental practice, easy booking system and reasonably priced. All the staff are lovely and full of smiles. Pedro Fiuza is a fantastic dentist. He is very friendly and takes the time to understand your needs to offer solutions that work for you. Brianna is such a wonderful hygienist, no discomfort and super nice as a bonus. No pressure or guilt from anyone, just helpful solutions and guidance. Actually makes going to the dentist enjoyable. Amy and Nuno on reception are always friendly and helpful and really quick to respond to enquiries. This is a great practice, I've stayed with them even after moving across town. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Could not ask for better treatment! Thank you so much for all your care, attention and kindness for my son Jay who is having treatment with Chris Fowles he has Cerebral palsy and cannot make it up the stairs so they use a room downstairs to support Jay, Chris has been so thoughtful and makes Jay feel at Ease and explains everything he is doing before he does it this really means a lot. Fantastic experience: Had a problem with a tooth and was given a cancellation appt. Saw my usual dentist Chris who examined the tooth, took an x-ray and did a 3D scan. Explained the possible problems and different treatment options and gave me a review appt for later in the week. First class communication and I feel I can trust my dentist 100% to do the best for my teeth.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Inverleith Dentalcare from my previous Edinburgh dentist after an initial consultation for the Invisalign treatment a few years ago, which was advertised on Facebook. I was immediately blown away by how lovely, professional and warming the entire team were at ID and so straight away emailed to find out if they were accepting new patients! Recently, I went through the Invisalign treatment with my dentist Dr Chris Fowles and could not be more ecstatic with my final results. From start to finish Chris was so thorough with my treatment plan, videos, pictures and simulations of how my teeth were going to look and also how each step of the process would look and how my teeth would change. I am a perfectionist and Chris was so patient for me even at the end of my treatment when I wanted little bits of teeth filed/bonded to give me that final Hollywood (completely natural) smile! I am in love with my results and even if Invisalign/cosmetic dentistry is not required, I could not recommend Inverleith Dentalcare highly enough for any procedure or routine check-up/scale and polish! The entire team put you at ease as soon as you step in the door and the dentistry services are first class! Thank you everyone @ Inverleith Dentalcare :) *UPDATE 2024* Gutted to be leaving Inverleith Dentalcare due to relocation, I will miss the team so much and all the work they have done for me over the years. Positive experience: The dental hygienist was meticulous in her work, and very friendly. All the support staff are extremely professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. The dentist is clear in his explanations about options for treatment, what is necessary, what is not and you never feel pressured to follow a course of treatment that is recommended but may be costly.

Fantastic experience: I have just had composite bonding done to repair a tooth from an accident and the tooth next to it they are beyond what I could have ever expected. The dentist (John) is extremely knowledgeable and very professional and patient and he is very helpful. I also had a hygienists appointment here too and it was the most relaxing and comfortable appointment when having my teeth cleaned , I am now going to be a using this dentist as my primary dentist and I can’t recommend them enough, especially if you have a badly broken or damaged tooth and need repairing done. I am extremely happy with the results of this work

The admin staff is very helpful and will get you the information that you need to make a decision abo the best treatments you need. Dr. John McAleavy is excellent. He was also very knowledgeable about my TMJ issues and he was really understanding during the appointment and he sign posted me to the tools I needed; this made me feel that he cares about my progress and the best outcome for my case. Fantastic experience: 5 stars doesn’t feel enough for the transformative journey I’ve been on with Dr Pedro and the team at Inverleith over the last 4 months. I knew I needed a lot of work done having a number of old fillings and having not been to the dentist in a while, and after a few really stressful years with lots of teeth grinding, I was super anxious when I turned up! Dr Pedro’s approach was so calm, kind and patient, he really put me at ease, and the rest of the team are just lovely! The trusted relationship we’ve built and the work he has done (root canal, a number of overlays and replacing old amalgam fillings with new composite ones) is just amazing, it’s built my confidence back up in so many ways, I feel like a different person! I’m not normally a review writer but I wanted to share this to give others who might need it, the confidence to take that step, and with a dentist that won’t let you down.

Fantastic experience: I recently completed a fairly comprehensive package of treatment across some 3 months, with a number of protracted sessions in the chair, as many of my aged heavily-filled molars were cleverly porcelain-capped. Brilliant work, delicately, patiently and very professionally undertaken by highly skilled staff who exuded friendly reassurance throughout the sustained work. As ever at the practice, from the welcoming reception staff, the practical, hygienic and comfortable surroundings, the many visits involved were fufilled with significant pleasure despite the underlying apprehension and transient discomforts. The completed work has transformed my now 70-year old teeth. Outstanding delivery of an excellent service all round.....for which I am profoundly grateful. APB

Fantastic experience: I attend both the Dentist and the Dental Hygienist very regularly. This is the best dental treatment I’ve ever had. The reception is friendly and efficient and the practitioners and assistants are warm friendly and caring. I cannot fault the modern, pain-free solution focused service I have received here.

Fantastic experience: Very happy in every way with the treatment and care I have received at Inverleith DentalCare especially to Chris Fowles,my dentist, who has been awesome. He has the smoothest hands and works wonders. I almost fall asleep during my treatment as I feel so comfortable at all. No hesitation in recommending it to everyone. I was once recommended by a colleague as well. I have thanked my colleague for recommending. I used to have less confidence every time I smile as I don’t like my 2 front teeth because it has crack on it. It was done by my previous dental clinic which didn’t last long hence the crack, that’s why I have decided to go find a new dental clinic. I live in Morningside, even though this is a bit far from our place, we will still choose Inverleith DentalCare. Now, my smiles are back!

I have had regular checks and a filling renewal the care and attention you get when there is amazing. Fantastic experience: I've been with the practice in it's various guises for 30 years - they are talented dentists, I almost fall asleep when they are working in my teeth. Everyone is really friendly and approachable - and very knowledgable. The whole family are clients and we certainly wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I have used Inverleith Dentalcare for many years now and have always received an excellent service from them. Recently I required some fairly extensive work done on several of my upper teeth. Pedro was excellent, not only in carrying out the work but also in the way he talked me through the process, explaining everything clearly, talking me through the options, answering all my questions and giving me time to think things through. I am very pleased with the outcome, which in my view has made a considerable improvement to my smile. All of the staff involved, from the reception team to the dental nurses, also do a great job.
