The staff were incredibly welcoming, making me feel comfortable right away. The hygienist was professional, thorough, and took the time to explain everything, ensuring I felt at ease throughout the appointment. The clinic itself was clean and well-organised, adding to the overall positive impression. I left feeling confident in their care and will definitely be returning for future visits.

Fantastic experience: Having visited a dentist for the first time in 45 years I can only extol the virtues of Christchurch Dental Practice. All the staff are excellent and they make you welcome. Having been nervous about visiting I immediately felt at ease and the experience was nothing to be feared. Whilst I won't exactly look forward to my next visit I shall do so without trepidation. Fantastic experience: Needed, at the age of 65, my first tooth extraction. I was very nervous, but the staff were marvellous. Extraction was painless and went off without a hitch. Fantastic experience: Had a filling in a very difficult to reach back tooth. Dr Ash and Tabby fully explained and discussed the treatment beforehand. All went very well, they were really supportive and helpful and put me at my ease at all times. Before and after photos were done, and it's an excellent result, tooth looks and feels natural. Fantastic experience: I have had a severe phobia about the dentist resulting in years of not going. I finally took the plunge and saw Derek at the Christchurch Practice. Everyone there has been supportive and kind, from Becky in the first instance who spent a long while on the phone reassuring me how the practice would support me, to all the staff and dental nurses and, of course, right through to Derek. Derek outlined the course of treatment he felt my teeth needed and he has worked his way through his plan. He even tolerated - with surprising cheerfulness - my insistence on gagging throughout every procedure: he was unfazed! Whilst I still don't enjoy going to the dentist (who does!), Christchurch practice has made it possible and I thoroughly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Being in the dentists chair is never a comfortable experience especially when you’re having a difficult extraction. But their professionalism and care is first class.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at the practice for many years and have watched it expand over the years. Derek and his staff are always attentive and take care to fully explain the procedures they propose and give alternatives where there are any. The expansion of the practice has aided getting emergency appointments when necessary and many specialist procedures can be dealt with inhouse but where not Derek recommends those that can deal with the work. The care is exceptional as once when travelling to SE Asia I developed an issue at Dubai and Derek happily responded to an email with a picture of the issue I had and gave advise as to how to deal with the matter until my return. Still getting exceptional care from this practice and the new dentist and hygienists has been a superb new addition to the practice.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing positive experience at Christchurch Dental yesterday. I have been terrified of having any dental work done for many years due to a bad childhood experience, the staff here have spent the last 5 or so years building up my trust and confidence with visiting the dentist, and yesterday it all paid off! I had several injections and a filling done, for the first time in my life and I am so proud of myself for overcoming a huge fear. Fantastic experience: This dental practice is exceptional in every aspect - I have disliked going to the dentist since childhood, but the entire team is incredibly polite and welcoming, which has truly helped to alley my fears - I've had two crowns replaced multiple times, and each procedure has been carried out with great care and consideration - They use modern techniques and ensure you’re well-informed throughout each step of the treatment - If you’re considering private dental care, I can highly recommend this practice.

I couldn't be happier with Christchurch though, the staff I have interacted with are all friendly, caring and helped me sort out some incredibly necessary dental work I needed doing. A thank you to Dr. Ash who is incredibly passionate about his work, helped me on the path to fixing some bad gum disease, and will happily go in to great detail about your chompers. The hygienist I see, Jess, is also very informative as well as being gentle and welcoming, she does fantastic work. So much so that I look forward to having my teeth and gums cleaned out. It's somewhat therapeutic. (Also enjoyed the interesting 3d scan on my teeth with Gabi/Gabby today. Another who seems passionate about their work). I recommend. 10 stars out of 5!.

Fantastic experience: At last I’ve found a dentist I really like. Dr Abdullah and the team are amazing. As a nervous and anxious patient I dreaded booking an appointment but having had two visits with Dr Abdullah I will be far less nervous for future appointments. All of the team are super friendly and professional. Today was the first time I’ve been pleased I went to the dentist. Updated for 2025 to say that, given most of us would rather not visit the dentist,, this practice really is as good as it gets and almost fun. Cheerful, highly professional practitioners who all really do seem to love their work. Short of inventing a way to get the body grow a third set of teeth, this place could not be better.

He is neurodiverse, with sensory processing disorder and always needing to know EVERYTHING with 101 questions, I really didn’t think treatment outside of a specialist centre would be possible for him. Fantastic experience: My dental experience with Dr Derek at Christchurch Dentist has been brilliant. He’s kept me smiling now for more than 4 years. If you have a potential implant that needs to happen then Dr Derek is your guy! He walks you carefully through all the options and the steps putting your mind at ease. I’m a speaker by trade so he wanted to make sure I did not have a gap in my smile line. To take care of that issue during the implant process he sorted a temporary to cover the gap! Amazing. Fantastic experience: Had my first hygienist appointment today and I was bricking it. The last time I had an attempt at a hygiene appointment it felt like my teeth were being pulled out at the root. However my experience today with Kirsty and Holly was totally different! I warned them at the start of the appointment that I really was nervous but they kept me informed the whole way through my appointment and gave me so much reassurance and comfort breaks explaining to me the different feelings I was getting in my gums. My teeth feel and look amazing following my appointment and I now have a much better idea on how to keep it that way. The receptionist was very helpful and made me an appointment for midday to see a dentist. Was seen promptly by a very professional, polite and understanding dentist who talked me through what he was able to do and when finished gave me some paperwork to give to my own dentist. Fantastic experience: After years of not having been to the dentist due to some bad previous experiences at another practice and an escalating fear of the dentist I finally decided to try Christchurch Dental Practice, and I can not recommend them more highly. Following an initial consult with Dr Abdullah Moin and Meg Tucker they put together a 6month plan to remove old temporary crowns, removal of my old grey fillings and a few new fillings too. I was given a huge amount of detail and the time and space to decide how I best approached the timing of appointments needed. At each appointment Abdullah couldn’t have been more friendly, along with all of the dental nurses I met too. It put me at ease completely and whilst I can’t proclaim to have looked forward to my appointments, I no longer dreaded them and I can honestly say I no longer fear going to the dentist. The whole experience is aimed at making you as comfortable as possible, and I always listened to pod casts/audio books during my treatments which helped distract me. If you’re a nervous patient and looking for somewhere new, I would recommend trying Christchurch DP.

After feeling apprehensive for years about having my wisdom tooth out, I had an appointment with Meg and April yesterday and cannot thank them enough for making me so comfortable. They talked me through what they were doing and when to expect different sensations (ie. drilling/push and pull) and it really put me at ease. Fantastic experience: Christchurch Dental Practice is an amazing dentist practice which I have been lucky enough to be a patient at for a couple of years now . Every single member of staff I have ever dealt with has been delightful , professional and positive. Dr Ash is an incredibly talented dentist and today he filled my wisdom tooth using all the latest technology and his expertise. I am a nervous patient and have had traumatic experiences at other previous practices, but with Dr Ash the whole experience is a calm and easily manageable one. In just 45 minutes he completed the procedure and showed me all the photographs he had taken along the way . I was mind blown ! The end result is a beautifully crafted perfect looking tooth. Fantastic experience: Christchurch Dental Practice Ipswich Monday 7th October 2024 I today attended my Dentist for a routine checkup and Hygienist appointment. On arrival, a warm welcome from Poppy on reception. The Dentist, Dr Derek A van Staden and his Dental Assistant were both very welcoming and carried out a very professional and reassuring check. All was ok, leaving me with peace of mind. I then went to see the Hygienist, Jess and her colleague. Again a very polite welcome and a very gentle thorough procedure. Such good advice on dental care, which I need, as do we all. A great experience, with both Professionals, leaving me feeling well and confident in their care. Thank you Jonathan G

Fantastic experience: I had to visit the dental clinic for an emergency, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff responded quickly and professionally, fitting me into their schedule on short notice. The dentist was incredibly attentive and compassionate, taking the time to explain the issue and the necessary treatment. Despite my anxiety, they made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the procedure. The care I received was excelent I’m grateful for their prompt and effective service in such a stressful situation, and I highly recommend their dental care.

Fantastic experience: Had a 6 monthly check-up with Dr Babbar and appointment with the hygienist Jess last week followed by a separate appointment for two side fillings to repair worn tooth near the gum. On both visits I received excellent care and attention. The two side fillings have made an enormous difference, I was shown the before an after photos by Dr Babbar. The procedure itself was painless and the steps explained to me. I've been a long time patient at Christchurch Dental Practice and always found the team very welcoming and friendly. Poppy on reception is always cheerful and efficient arranging the appointments. Overall the experience was outstanding; thank-you.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been with the practice since they started and have never found reason to complain! The staff are polite and knowledgeable and Derek is an excellent dental practitioner, up-to-date in his treatments but courteous and thoughtful for his patients. We would not go anywhere else for dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: I took my 2 cats Midi and Moonie to have their yearly vaccinations. The staff was lovely as always. From the receptionist as Bev to the vet Louise , all the staff is welcoming and kind. I could not be happier with my vet! Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Great dentist practice. The staff are always so welcoming and I never get anxiety about going. I used the practice to do my Invisalign. I now have my dream teeth and was supported throughout the entire journey.

Fantastic experience: NHS dentists are scarcer than hen's teeth in Ipswich, so when you have to go private, you might as well make sure you're completely happy with your dentist! Abdullah and Meg did two fillings for me at Christchurch Dental Practice - they did a great job of putting me at ease, explaining what's going on and why, showing you the before and after photos and generally being considerate, personable, professional and efficient. Excellent all round and I'd recommend them.
