Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for many years and would recommend them, they are wonderful. I have only ever received excellent treatment from the kind and patient staff. I have seen Tania today who is brilliant, especially if you`re a bit nervous. They will take all the time you need to give you the best advice possible. The reception staff are lovely too.

Fantastic experience: I have had quite a few sessions with Dr Katocha and can thoroughly recommend him. He treats patients in a friendly and professional manner which is very reassuring. He examines carefully and thoroughly and discusses the treatment plan with the patient properly giving various options. All underpinned by x-rays and photographs. He answers any queries promptly and explains why the proposed treatment is the best solution. I regard the cost of the treatment as reasonable. I feel very confident in him treating me.

Fantastic experience: I arrived with my14 year-old Implant in a plastic bag. I had found it in my mouth during the night! The wonderful Tanya Patel was kind and reassuring and within minutes had cemented it back in place. This is a brilliant dental surgery. All the staff are kind and helpful. As an 87 year old patient with several other health issues I am hugely grateful that I live so close to this surgery.

Negative experience: I went on 5th January 2025 my filling had come out was in no pain just needed a new filling the dentist told me this would be £100 which i thought was fine and asked the dentist to do this i was there no more then 15 miniutes. When I went downstairs to pay I was charged £220 in which £46 for advice what a Rip Off . Please do check the prices before going as I'm sure they are doing this to other patients. In reply to you review that was not the case I was asked to sign the pad saying that their was no change in my circumstances. The dentist gave me a price please you should speak to the dental nurse . I was over charged

I see Tanya Patel who is my dentist every 6 months and if problems arise I know I am in safe hands. The receptionists are also very helpful and friendly. Fantastic experience: I have been at Barnet Smilea for years and have always been more than pleased with the services I have received. Very friendly staff and as I am a nervous patient, I really cannot recommend them highly enough. Even in the pandemic they were one of the first dentists to open up to patients and made sure the correct procedures were in place so that everyone feels safe. I have a few medical issues now and all the staff take these into consideration and help me as much as I need. I cannot tell you how much their attitude and help is appreciated.

Dr Patel outlines each problem to me, explains the treatments that are available and discusses them with me. She is a pleasant person and very reassuring in all her ways.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this dental practice, friendly and very relaxed, excellent treatments and visits are always as stress free as a dentist can be. I had cosmetic whitening and replacement crowns as well as some other routine treatments and I am very happy with the results. I do think you get what you pay for, and staying local gives you greatest peace of mind for all follow ups and aftercare.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed by the treatment I received I paid £112 for the dentist to do close to nothing. There are no differences to my teeth at all. Normally I only pay £80 at other places for the same service and it is great. I want to make a complaint to management also

Negative experience: I have been at this practice for 15 years as a private patient - I recently lost my job and tried to make an appointment but as NHS which they do but I was refused as I’m no longer working even though I was in pain it just shows where their ethics are and it’s more about the money

Fantastic experience: A thorough 30 minute examination (it's normally only 15 minutes) by the dental hygienist. I get quite anxious when I go to the dentist but I was immediately put at ease. I was also given useful feedback and shown how to brush my teeth properly - that usually doesn't happen!

She is so friendly, knowledgeable and just the kind of person you need when you want a professional opinion. The x-rays were taken swiftly an the results shared and explained on the large screen in a very thorough manner. The reception staff are very kind too, don't hesitate to book here. Fantastic experience: Not only is this practice the best for dental care, I have now found them to be amazing with facial aesthetics. As an individual that has never before had any aesthetics, I was given the confidence and courage I found I needed to be able to address concerns with my appearance. Under the care of Dr Fatema, I have found her to have been extremely honest and professional. She has guided and advised me on areas I had concerns and the subsequent treatment has surpassed that of what I had expected. She is honest, transparent and understanding which has been crucial in allowing me to make subtle yet important changes to my appearance to give me confidence I was lacking. Couldn’t recommend Dr Fatema more for facial aesthetics. 5 stars

Fantastic experience: I went to visit the hygienist and dentist at Barnet Smiles and the new team were very friendly and knowledgeable. The reception team were wonderful and had lots of suggestions to the questions I had. I would highly recommend using Barnet Smiles as a local NHS dentist.

Negative experience: Not happy with the service. Today we had an appointment for our son's treatment and when we reached there on time, they said that his appointment had been moved and was not showing up. It was clearly a human error from the receptionist who had messed it up. But instead of trying to fit him in for his appointment today/tomorrow, they gave us an appointment 2 months later. The receptionist didn't even care to check with the doctor and try and fit us in earlier. It was very upsetting as we had to arrange work things and missed school lessons to go there on a weekday. If we had missed the appointment, we would have consequences and penalty. But if they mess up our appointment, then they can do what they want and just say it wasn't their fault to fix. It seems unfair, to be honest. Update: we have been offered an appointment in a months time. And the staff apologised so changing rating to 2.

All staff at this practice is very professional and always welcoming and friendly. Since Steve Malloy’s retirement I have been very fortunate to have Dr Tania Patel as my dentist, she is absolutely brilliant and I have complete confidence in her-she has actually made going to the dentist a pleasant experience. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Barnet smiles since I was a child and now been a private patient for a number of years now. The whole team is exceptional! The receptionists are lovely, accommodating and always welcoming when I attend. I see Dr Tanya Patel regularly and she is an amazing dentist who is clearly passionate about what she does! She is very competent, professional and takes time to explain your treatment options with you. I have recently completed my Invisalign journey with them and cannot express how pleased I am with the outcome, I am forever receiving compliments about my teeth and new smile! Fantastic experience: My sons are autistic and had probably one of the most successful visits to the dentist here (and believe me, we’ve tried a few). Everyone was calm, kind, and took loads of time to explain things carefully, and allow my children to ask questions and make choices. I can’t reccomend them enough.
