Fantastic experience: My daughter has a severe needle phobia and has been needing two teeth removed for over a year. After struggling with other attempts, we were finally lucky enough to see Dr. Lajos Erdelyi, and I can honestly say he is amazing. He was so polite, caring, and incredibly patient, especially with children. He made my daughter feel comfortable and safe, and thanks to him, she finally had her extractions done. I cannot recommend him highly enough – the best dentist we’ve ever come across!

Fantastic experience: A very pleasant experience with Chung-Jui Lee. He was polite, friendly and explained everything nicely. Some things had to be repeated due to his accent and my not so good hearing, but not in an awkward way. Along with his assistant, I was made to feel very very comfortable and in safe hands. The filling repair went well, without any anaesthetic or pain. I was very impressed that they didn't push for me to see the hygienist, as many other previous dentists have done. A professional approach overall.

Negative experience: After a filling fell out several weeks ago , I had to wait many weeks for an appointment. During which time my tooth was very sharp and painful, but when I finally got an appointment the dentist only fitted a temporary filling. Within 2 weeks this fell out, again leaving me in pain. Over 2 weeks later I finally got an appointment. A few days before I rang to confirm that this was definitely for a filling replacement, and was reassured it was. So on Friday I took time off work and arrived in plenty of time for my appointment. Checked in and was told to wait. A few minutes later I was told that I wasn’t booked in for a filling after all and the dentist couldn’t do it. I was not happy. They apologised saying that the person I’d spoken to a few days earlier was at a call centre and shouldn’t have promised me it was for a filing. They finally agreed to fit me on. Monday 18th. So I went along , again in plenty of time. Was left waiting for half hour and then told they could only do another temporary filling !! And I was to be charged £27.50 for a failed appointment on Friday! I didn’t fail the appointment, the dental practice failed me !

Negative experience: I thought the dentist was a bit rude and he left the door open while people were walking past then tried to tell me I need to pay £280 for a hygienist and 2 fillings!! I was told that it was part NHS and private but he only that he was an independent dentist so I couldn't have NHS and I wasn't offered a payment plan for this.

Fantastic experience: Visited Damira dental practice for the first time, after over 7 years without having a dentist, they were friendly and helpful, showed me where the lift was as I'm disabled and can't get up the stairs easily, I was there for an assessment appointment and moulds done for dentures, my appointment was fairly quick and efficient. Negative experience: Absolutely awful, letter of complaint was sent after my recent appointment and have removed myself from there service as would rather have no dentist than visit Mr Peter Torkos or this practice again. Would give a negative score if I could.

Negative experience: Avoid this dentist if you’re an NHS patient. I had an NHS appointment booked for February 2024 which they cancelled. They never offered me a new date or told me I needed to rebook to keep my NHS place. I only got a reminder a few days ago, which was far too late and now they’ve taken me off the NHS list and told me I must pay privately. Their poor communication has cost me my NHS place, and it could happen to you too.

Fantastic experience: Superb! I have a pretty bad needle phobia, and had been avoiding going to the dentist to get some teeth filled for years. Peter and the dental assistant were completely understanding of this, and made sure the whole ordeal was as painless as possible, pre-numbing the injection site and taking things really slowly. Even turning on the radio helped! Thank you for the dental work, and also helping me overcome a huge obstacle!

Negative experience: Made an appointment online and paid the advertised fee to confirm the booking. I attended and had a new patient examination and then the following day received a phone call asking me to pay an additional £15 as the new patient fee had increased. I explained that I had been paid the advertised fee as per their website and was told that the website had been updated since to reflect the new fee of £80 and that an invoice would be sent for £15. On receipt of the invoice I checked the website which still showed the new patient fee of £65 and replied to their email explaining that I had paid the amount as advertised and therefore there was no amount outstanding and attached screenshots to prove the advertised cost. I have today received an email threatening me with court action for the recovery of £15. Not only was I lied to on the phone that the website had been changed but at no point during my time at the dentist was I informed that the fee was different to the amount already paid. I’ll never use this dentist again and would recommend that anyone wanting an honest dental surgery look elsewhere or risk being extorted and lied to.

Positive experience: After having 3 appointments canceled and finally getting to see a dentist.I felt that I was swept aside as if not wanted.I was referred to the hospital to have work done without any explanation!Could your practitioner not be qualified enough?as that is how I felt.I now have to wait approximately 6 mths to have any work done,if I’m accepted.Damira is the worst practice that I have ever been with.Is it because I’m an NHS patient,because that’s how I feel! Negative experience: I booked what was supposed to be a hygienist appointment, but when I arrived, I wasn’t informed in advance that the hygienist wasn’t available. Only after I was called in did I realise I would be seen by a doctor instead, with no explanation or choice given. The clinic was running 30 minutes late, and when I was finally seen, the appointment lasted only around 10 minutes. It included scaling only—no polishing or full hygienist care. I was still charged £80 for this brief and incomplete service. When I raised my concerns and asked whether a discount could be applied, especially given the circumstances and the reduced appointment time, I was told that no discounts were available. I left feeling disappointed and let down. The lack of communication, long wait, rushed appointment, and inflexible pricing made the whole experience feel unprofessional and not worth the cost.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous about my appointment today as meeting my new dentist. I’ve had a lot of bad encounters in the past hence feeling nervous today. I had some impressions done which was ok, then the dreaded filling next. I’d made Lajos and Carly aware of how I was feeling and they both made me feel comfortable. I was asked if I required an injection first which I said yes too, these usually really hurt so clenched my hands together waiting for the pain which didn’t come! Next the drill, I didn’t feel a thing, no sinking into the seat trying to escape it like usual. Then it was all over! Negative experience: Really awful experience with these lot. I had an appointment which had been cancelled and rearranged 4 (four) times. Finally on the last time, the place was “closed due to unforeseen circumstances”. I literally travelled all the way to the surgery, trying to open a locked door, and they hadn’t even bothered to tell me it was cancelled. Felt like a right idiot. Had been registered with them for 2 years, and never managed to get an appointment. Disgrace. I already know what their seemingly automated response will be, they will say that it happened under old ownership and not them. But the staff hasn’t changed under the new ownership and I hear the cancellations are still happening now.

Positive experience: Fantastic service from the hygienist, however I had booked a 20 minute appointment for £60 and then told when I arrive I need to pay an extra £20 due to the prices being incorrect online and the hygienist Only doing 30 minute bookongs. Even though I had Only booked a few weeks prior and had an email from the Company saying they had appointments from £60 the week before I booked. On top of this the appointment only lasted 16 minutes. This makes me uneasy as I have a dentist appoint a few months time and do not want to be over charged for another appointment. However all the staff where lovely and very helpful

Fantastic experience: Very happy with Lajos Erdelyli the dentist who did my fillings yesterday. It was my first appointment with him since the new practice started back in the summer last year. I was a bit apprehensive but he put me at ease and I didn’t even need to have an injection!!! So for that alone I was very impressed.

Negative experience: Don't really know where to start but here goes: Paid £60 in advance to have tooth removed Filled out questionnaire/ medical details with full history Got to appointment, the dentist was very distracted and didn't know where equipment was or how to attach drill When his young assistant tried to help him he was really rude to her and very dismissive. He then went on to ask what drugs I had been given nearly 5 years ago after having breast cancer, even though I had only been asked the basics on original form. When I told him I didn't know he went on to tell me if he removed my tooth it could cause cancer in my mouth as bone wouldn't heal if I've had certain drugs. I totally get that this needed to be checked but not when your already laid down with your mouth open thinking you were having your tooth out. I was already a bit nervous about having it removed so then to be questioned about my cancer treatment 5 years ago set my anxiety off about that time. He shaved the tooth down, gave me antibiotics which I personally don't think we're needed. As I was waiting in the room for him to give me the prescription he was having a go at the assistant again, it was really uncomfortable and unprofessional. I will definitely not be returning to this clinic and would not recommend it.
