Fantastic experience: Recently visited the colesseum dental practice, I was given a same day emergency appointment to see a dentist for a wisdom tooth infection, dentist was lovely prescribed me antibiotics. So thankfully to be seen so quick as I was in immense pain. Big thumbs up to all the staff. Thanks

Negative experience: I spent about £400 on treatment here about a year ago and the fillings have all fallen out !! They do not seem to be interested in good practice just in grabbing as much money for as little work as possible. The rude old woman on reception epitomises this.

Maria and Amy were exceptional in their quality of work, Maria was very calm and reassuring which helped my anxiety a lot, the procedure was carried out very quickly and efficiently. By far the best dental experience I’ve ever had.

Fantastic experience: Luckily remained an nhs patient. They have been impeccable with helping maintain my dental health after cancer treatment. They're on it with treating random infections when prone to them and really understanding and put you at ease.

Negative experience: My dentist was rude and stank. The sweatiest hair Ive seen. Didn't put on fresh gloves when I sat in the chair. Arrived for my appointment at 6.15 not to be seen u till 6.35. Filling was rushed as I was the last appointment of the day. Receptionist was so rude. When I questioned her about the price she said 'if you don't like it go somewhere els' Which I did. Went to a real private dentist. 6 weeks to wait for the next appointment. No Thanks This place prays on who ever will pay over the odds for poor dental practice. How they have any patients is beond me. AVOID. Spend a few quid more and see a real practice.

Positive experience: Walked to the dentist to cancel an appointment just to find they are closed between one and two. This is not advertised on the website and should be updated. Also the phones are not answered during this time and you are left in a never ending queue. Please either stagger your lunches like We do or update your opening hours.

Negative experience: Just joined as a private patient here. Can’t say it was the best experience. Paid £84 for a new consultation and check up. My teeth are generally good so I don’t have issues. Check up took 5-10 mins (30 min appointment time booked) the dentist didn’t offer a quick scale and polish, I had to ask. Then she only cleaned some of my bottom teeth, not top. Did not feel like a private dental experience. Seeing as I paid £84, and my teeth are good, I would have thought a quick all round scale and polish would be acceptable. Total appointment time 15 mins. Questioned this after, to be told if I want a clean I should see a hygienist which I am fully aware of. Dentist then came out and spoke to me and basically said if I want a clean that’s what I have to pay (another £80+) - this is not the point and money wasn’t the issue. Felt very uncomfortable by this point!

I had been suffering from severe tooth pain and he listened and diagnosed the cause. He explained each step of the treatment and possible complications and after care. Negative experience: I was really appreciative when my daughter got in as an emergency. So I booked to move dentist with my denplan after speaking with the dentist. I called again for my other daughter with a missing filling and i was snapped at by the receptionist. She told me I was lucky to get her in and it was a miracle that i got in, and i would have no hope of getting an appointment for my any of my children (i have 3 + 1 adult) but wouldn't book them in again. She was rude. If I am paying privately or not, I dont expect to be spoken in this manner. Dentists are under pressure, i understand that. But there is no excuse for rudeness. 5 stars to the dentist who relieved my daughters pain. Zero to the purple rinse on the desk. I worked as a dental receptionist for years and would not dream of speaking to people in this manner. The NHS system is shot & creating monsters!
