Fantastic experience: Excellent service from joining practice to first appointment

Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient I found the experience excellent and this was mainly due to the dental nurse called Kate who reassured me at all times and made me very relaxed. All the staff were very nice and I have another appointment next week and I am hoping it will be as pleasant.

Negative experience: I have been to this dentist Mr Morgan a few times and have never been comfortable. He is obnoxious and rude and as I left I asked the receptionist to take me off their books as I will not return to see him again.

Negative experience: My appointments are usually slightly delayed which is understandable as appointments run over, however on my last visit dated 2025-09-17....my appointment was 9 am (1st of the day as they open at 9 am), I was still waiting at 9:30 and I got called in only after asking why I was still waiting. I struggled to understand the dentist as she was a mumbler. Not a great experience on this occasion. Problem is I have go back for fillings, hopefully with different dentist.

Positive experience: Was rescheduled 4 times due to a dentist not being in. Finally had appointments at 11am and didn't get seen till 12. Because they told me I had been seen and had to rebook me in.

Negative experience: Have been with Johnston and Whitehouse for 40 years just tried to make appointment told I have been taken of nhs list I did cancel my last appointments due to ill health I think this is disgusting after all these years but they said I could go private it seems its all about the money

Fantastic experience: Can not recommend this dental surgery enough. On entering every staff member made me feel really welcome and you can smell and see how clean the building is. I had 2 types of leukaemia and went through 12 years of chemotherapy which halted my dental care. I was extremely nervous of having a dental appointment after this but Lava Zeki and his dental nurse put me at ease the minute I walked in. I had to have one small filling and I can honestly say I did not feel a thing and my teeth feel amazing now. Thank you so much to all staff i can now smile without feeling conscious about my smile

Negative experience: Went for a check up, waited half an hour after my appointment time, she prodded my gums and that was the end of my check up she didn't check my teeth, she didn't check for cancer or under my tongue. Just said I need a clean booked me in for next week and had to pay for that and the non existent check up today. Not impressed. Definitely gone Down hill since Mr Johnson and Mr Whitehouse retired!

Fantastic experience: Hi this is the second 9 am appointment, I travel for 90 mins to get through Chester’s traffic only to have to wait until 9;20 to be seen, this happened twice with no hint of an apology or explanation, shoddy customer service , the treatment was good although the dentist could have been more communicative

Negative experience: Awful experience for my elderly father,he can't use the stairs ,we asked on the phone to make sure appointment to pick up dentures was downstairs,upon arrival it was upstairs and the lady dentist wouldn't come down and just sent them down.Get home they are not the right fit,make another appointment for 12-15 , dentist says she's going home early at 12-00 !!!walked passed us!!!(Yet again upstairs,we requested downstairs) No respect for a gentleman in his 90s wouldn't recommend this practice at all!!!!

Fantastic experience: Professional, caring, informative and most importantly for me, very 'human'.

Negative experience: Done my Invisalign with them 2 years ago not a cheap procedure and a lot of unnecessary expense due to the second opinion from the second dentist(very suspicious). For example, They told me I needed to go to another city to get the scan done and during the next check told me it wasn't necessary (the incurred cost wasn't covered). Now my retainers broke I wanted to order a new one, called them a few times, and eventually got the answer that I have to order somewhere myself?? and send all the IDs to them just to release my record so I can get on with it. Two weeks later I received nothing. I feel like I have been scammed and possibly exposed to the risk of a personal data breach now.

Negative experience: poor dentist. won’t return my calls after 3 weeks of trying to speak to the manager. i missed a referral appointment in 2018 due to having to give evidence in a court case and the dentist are refusing to see me because of it. i was made aware this was the only place taking on NHS patients so i leaped at the chance of getting enrolled.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible Dental Clinic this place is! I hadn’t been to the dentist in years due to not being able to get an NHS appointment in Wrexham, this place registered me as a NHS patient and got me an appointment for the following week! The dentist who treated me was so patient and understanding when I was extremely nervous for my appointment due to not going in so many years and being self conscious of my teeth. I really can’t recommend this place enough! I have another check up in 6 months time and I don’t feel scared for my next appointment because I know I will be taken care of! 10/10 experience! thank you so much!
