Negative experience: I definitely don't recommend Justyna Bogucka, especially since she's very inexperienced and doesn't know how to follow basic medical procedures. Avoid her if you don't want to risk your health or your teeth.

The admin side of arranging appointments, getting reminders and filling out of forms is very efficient and can all be done swiftly online/via e-mail. It's very convenient for me being able to do that when working. The dentisty has also been very professional and the atmosphere is friendly, I certainly feel during my appointements that I'm in good capable hands for my treatment. Thanks for fixing my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Dental Practice. I honestly cannot praise them highly enough. I had a really problematic experience at Dental Express in Portobello where they seemed totally disinterested in my dental issues as an NHS patient and failed to diagnose a crack in my tooth (which I’d identified as concerning) and this was despite X-Rays. Newkirkgate was an entirely different experience. From the moment I registered with them they’ve been incredibly helpful and supportive. All staff were immediately friendly, and clearly very caring about the dental issues I was experiencing. After the worst night of pain I’ve ever experienced Antonios immediately diagnosed the issue and set to work. When he injected me to begin work on the root canal treatment i could have kissed him the relief was so great. And he worked efficiently and gently I was not discomforted in any manner whatsoever. Brilliant. Actually looking forward to seeing them again. Don’t hesitate. If you need a Dentist, you won’t find a better practice to register with.

They call patients the day before your appointment is an ideal way of ensuring people remember their appointments or allowing them to be rescheduled if need be.

The practice calls patients 24 hours before appointments to check that people will be in attendance and keeps patients up to date with all relevant developments in treatment and changes to dental charges. My own dentist Dr Antonopoulos is friendly, thorough and very professional. If you need any kind of dental services, make sure you are a registered patient at this practice.

Lovely receptionist, great service from my dentist Jenny, and dental assistants/nurses are always very friendly. I can imagine Jenny and her team being excellent if you are really scared of dentists, as they are patient and gentle.

Fantastic experience: Great Dental Practice; every member of staff I came across was lovely and helpful. I had been putting off the dentist for so long (like most of us), and it wasn't until I was in excruciating pain that I finally made an appointment. Due to a needle phobia, I am not a great patient, but a HUGE shout out to Dr. Ahmed because the man has the patience of a saint! Along with Dental Nurse Mandy, I could not have been in better hands; they made me feel as comfortable as they could and did everything to alleviate my fears. Really not worried about having to go back again in the future.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my experience at the dental practice, particularly with Dr. Fotis. His professionalism and efficiency were exceptional. I’m usually very anxious about injections, but Dr. Fotis made the whole process surprisingly smooth and quick. I felt at ease, and even after the injection, I was comfortable and felt fine!

Negative experience: Light in the tunnel! I have been left in darkness about procedures that will be taken to fix my problem. Honestly, after first visit I was in panic for all week. Dentist seemed to be quite disappointed that I was entitled and choose to do free fixing. He ignored me, didn't explain anything he was doing even after I asked. I was told there is no such a thing private and nhs mix. I was left with no option. Though I checked and it seems that it was possible. Second visit was very painful. Again, dentist didn't wanted to use injection to ease my pain till the last bite,until I started to cry. He was doing nerve canal treatment. During 3rd visit he was nicer and ASKED FOR REVIEW.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Dental Practice. So I have been in a few dental clinics over the years and none of them come even close to Newkirkgate ( Edinburgh) in every aspect. They are so professional and warm snd welcoming from the second you walk in the door. The ladies in reception are amazing so polite and accommodating and just an all round friendly experience immediately which sets you at ease. Then the dentist themselves top notch as far as I’m concerned they have done an amazing job on my teeth fixing all the problems previous dentists couldn’t. They were quick and again very professional and if you’re uncomfortable like most of us are when we need to see a dentist this place takes all that away. I will go as far to say that you will even look forward to your next appointment here it’s that good with a wide selection of amazing dentists. 100% the easiest 5 star review I have ever given.

Negative experience: The receptionist is awful and rude, very cheeky, condescending and just another typical receptionist, why are they all like this? You're not as important as you think you are, need to have better manners, complete joke.
