Fantastic experience: This is the most friendly professional dental surgery in WGC. They have looked after my family for over 20 years and I would recommend anyone to go. You are in complete safe hands with this group and you can trust them explicitly to look after you.

Negative experience: Beware! They will remove you without any warning or notification, resulting in you with no access to an NHS dentist in the area. No care for the patient here at all, even when with them for years!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Handside Dental Clinic by my regular dentist. I was able to get a prompt appointment, discuss and agree my treatment and start the following week. My implantoligist Assif Ahmed and his nurse Ramona are amazing. The process is longer than I thought but I am so happy with the outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend Handside Clinic if you need any kind of specialist dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant from the initial phone call to the visit. The whole team make you feel so welcome from the reception to the dental nurse. The hygienist Lucy was very helpful and gave me some really good tips. Vicky & Becky on reception we’re so polite & was able to recommend some dental products too. The dentist van was outstanding and his nurse Sheba. Got a full checkup and gave some amazing advice, and I’m looking forward to the teeth whitening

Fantastic experience: I have a fear of dentist’s following horrible previous experiences. This would mean I wouldn’t attend the dentist unless I was in a lot of pain. I joined Handside Dental Clinic under the care of Sara Geneen and haven’t looked back since! She has gone above and beyond to make me feel at ease and has taken away most of my fear of going to the dentist. She is kind, caring, explains what is going on and goes at the patients pace so you don’t feel rushed or stressed. A wonderful dentist who I cannot recommend highly enough!

Negative experience: Absolutely awful dental practise. In life I would say dentists go alongside mechanics in knowing whether they are competent and whether the work they are doing is even necessary (once they of course know your salary and "what kind of job you do"). I have actually since found a good dentist (and mechanic :)) but Handside is probably the worst I've ever attended. I was given some wack dental advice which didn't sound right at the time and has since been contradicted by my current dentist. And one of the very dubious admin practises I remember was being charged for a future hygienist appointment which I hadn't booked (and had no intention of booking because obviously all your teeth will fall out if you don't have a hygienist appointment). This was after coming out of a dental check-up. It was on the same invoice! This is a very edited critique but I would avoid this place. On a brighter note the receptionist was very nice though ;)

But I’ve heard so many horror stories from friends about their visits to other dentists that I take comfort in the devil I know. Price is always an issue, just as it is in every walk of life. Most of my dental work has occurred in later years, so that’s kind of the way it is. The staff are always pleasant, attentive and accommodating.

Fantastic experience: I’m 35 now and have been at Handside dental surgery since I was a baby and got my first tooth! It’s had many changes over the years but it has never been as nice and lovely as it is now, my parents are with Handside aswell and so is my daughter and partner. We all see Sarah and she is lovely and always asks me how my parents are. Thanks for always looking after us all!
