Fantastic experience: Took my grandchildren to their check up appointments and I was so impressed with the service that we all received . The children felt very relaxed and the dentist spoke to them in age appropriate language which made them feel very grown up. Everyone at the dentist was polite , helpful and for a dentist phobic nanny they all made it a very easy experience .

Fantastic experience: I had my six months check up today, the dentist asked if my health details had changed and if I was experiencing any problems with my teeth. My answer was no to both questions and she proceeded to check my teeth, she said everything was okay and I was doing a great job keeping them healthy. I asked her if she could do anything about a rough slightly jagged tooth I had, as food was sometimes getting caught in it and she said she could file it down slightly for me, it’s great now. She told me that I didn’t have to come back for another nine months, I hope that means that everything is ok with my teeth. I am really lucky to have a good dentist and even luckier that Mike’s niece is now running the practice, it is brilliant that it has stayed in the family and such a good conscientious one at that.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming to Crabtree Dental Practice since 1977! I’m no longer local to the practice but there is no way I would go anywhere else. Their care, understanding, patience and professionalism is second to none! Diane is the best hygienist & explains what she is going to do in great detail. She gives really great dental advice & has, I’m sure, prevented me from having further dental treatment. Kellie is also a fabulous dentist, giving sound advice. I am 100% confident that I am getting the best treatment available.

I called them with an emergency and Zara was so helpful on the phone and booked me in right away despite me not to even being on their books. Upon arrival the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Paras was amazing in her technique and ability to reassure me and explain what was going to happen throughout my wisdom tooth removal. She continued to talk through the process as the tooth was being removed which I found really informative, interesting and helpful. The service I received end to end from Crabtree was simply perfect and I absolutely would recommend them to everyone!

Negative experience: I had an extremely distressing experience at this practice. As someone with high anxiety, I informed the staff in advance about my condition (Crohn’s disease), as well as my ADHD and autism. During my appointment, I panicked and asked to stop the treatment, preferring to reschedule with a dentist I felt comfortable with. Instead of being met with understanding, I felt pressured to continue. In my distress, I swore once—not at anyone directly—yet this was used as grounds to remove me from the practice entirely. While I respect policies regarding respectful conduct, I believe patient care should include empathy, especially in a setting where anxiety is common. Rather than de-escalating the situation, the response I received only heightened my distress. Ultimately, I was discharged from the practice, despite being a communicative patient who was simply struggling with fear and discomfort. Additionally, I had previously informed the practice that one my children are autistic, and I had planned to continue bringing them here for treatment. However, given how my own situation was handled, I no longer feel confident that this practice is a safe or supportive environment for neurodivergent patients. I will be taking my children elsewhere to ensure they receive care from a practice that truly understands and accommodates their needs. If you have anxiety, ADHD/autism, or require a compassionate approach to treatment, I would advise considering a practice that specialises in nervous and neurodivergent patients.

Positive experience: Both receptionists were busy talking on phone. It should have been a matter of courtesy to acknowledge myself and one other patient waiting. Had to inform staff no Toilet paper on Loo.
